Took my 3yo boy for his 3rd ever haircut. The lady who did it hacked at his hair for about 2 minutes in total. Rushed is an understatement!! She also told me he couldn’t have scissors and the buzzer, it was one or the other! Like it was somehow impossible, even though that’s what I had asked for (short back and sides and long on top). She was rude, abrupt and had no sensitivity to my little boy not enjoying the experience whatsoever. He left crying with a sh*t haircut and I left angry $16.50 worse off. Not a great service at all. Will never go again. In addition to this, I went back to ask for a refund and the same lady: Linda, was incredibly rude in response to my request! Argued with me that the haircut was bad because my son was crying too much (but you’re a professional hairdresser no?! And he was crying because of you!), then told me to never come back (don’t worry, I won’t!) and as I was walking out the shop was over the top sarcastic saying “Thank you sooooo much!”!! I don’t think I’ve ever experienced anything like that in my life! I now have the number for the manager and I’m trying to get my refund. Wow.

I went there today. A guy before me was told to pay $5 more than he should, he didn't. Went I sat down I was asked if I was a senior, I said yes and she said its $20. I said I have been here a few times and its $15 and it's on the board at $15. She argued with me, my hair was thick, it's not, my hair is long, it's not.. and to get of the chair. I did not. The other worker came in fortunately and I said I would speak to her only (as I had never seen this young worker before that I was speaking to) and after a few words with this other one she did my hair for $15, very stressful. They blamed their boss to put up prices.

Without doubt the best hair cut you can get in Melbourne. What astounds me is the professionalism and attention to detail for such an incredibly low price. I particularly want to thank the staff who are efficient, kind, inclusive and funny too. I don't know how they do it because it’s always so busy. The blonde lady and the dark hair lady have cut my children’s hair and mine many times. The kids love them. Thank you so much lovely ladies (and for listening to my problems, seriously… hairdressers are so underrated). I love going into Express Cuts in Southland, it’s the highlight of my day.

Lady with blonde hair was very rude. I showed the image of the cut i want and got told from her that she dont have the correct size clippers and ONLY had the size 1. Rude tone, unprofessional, felt very uncomfortable.. End result of my hair was absolute shocking, never going their again. I usually go there once every 5/6 weeks having an asian lady cutting my hair very professionally. But no last cut i got there by that lady was absolutely rubbish.

If i could give 0 stars i would. My hair dresser was too busy looking at her friends new jewelry to notice she had give me the worst haircut of my life. A total of 10 minutes for what usually takes a good barber 20 or 25 . On the plus side i got to pay for 2 haircuts today and meet my new future barber. Do us all a favor and stop cutting hair. Just stop please

Avoid. The worst haircut I've ever had the displeasure of paying for. Over in 5 minutes with half my hair on the floor and looking like a butchered pineapple. Total rushed job with long strands amongst the carnage. Would've paid three times the price to have walked on by. So much for a quick convenient cut

Most likely the worst haircut I've ever had. Blonde lady focused on talking about expensive things she buys instead of cutting my hair. If I could give it zero I would. I don't think she is even a hairdresser she was that bad. PS this is the first review I've ever left.

Usual not a bad place. But today they thought it was more important to scroll through their phone, do their own hair and chat than serve a customer. No one else in the shop, 3 hairdresses on duty and i'm asked to sit and wait..... Express Cuts, i don't think so.

Ive returned here after a long time of having my haircut by my usual barber. Rather disappointing. Haircut was rushed and lack of attention to detail. Average product used as well, for a hairdresser you would expect decent product being used for peoples hair.

So rude! No waiting and I can see why! Woman who cut my hair completely ignored any request by me. Needed a remedial hair cut elsewhere to undo the damage. Makes the pensioner concession a bit of a nonsense ... or is this some sort of ageist discrimination?

My kids (7yo & 4yo) get their hair cut here. The hairdressers always ask what you like done, and then follow through precisely. The hairdresser are very gentle with the kids & talk to them often to give them comfort.

They can only cut mens hair and that is with the buzz cutter, any other way forget it There not equipped to cut womens. Hair period!!
