I recently had the misfortune of visiting Express Market, and I must say it was a truly unsettling experience. This market has not only displayed an utter disregard for the health and well-being of our youth but also contributes to the alarming rise in underage vaping. It is disheartening to see such a blatant disregard for ethics and responsibility. First and foremost, the most glaring issue is the open sale of vaping products to minors. It's shocking to witness the sheer audacity of Express Market in allowing underage kids to purchase these potentially harmful products without any questions or restrictions. This complete lack of age verification and regulation demonstrates a total absence of ethics and social responsibility on the part of the market's management. Furthermore, the market's staff members appear to be entirely complicit in this dangerous practice. It's evident that they prioritize profit over the health and well-being of young customers. This negligent approach fosters a toxic atmosphere that encourages underage vaping, putting the lives of these impressionable individuals at risk. The quality of the vaping products sold here is also questionable. It's hard to trust the authenticity and safety of the items on their shelves, considering their willingness to flout the law. This raises concerns about the potential health hazards associated with the products they offer, such as subpar ingredients or even counterfeit goods. Beyond the ethical and health concerns, the overall shopping experience at Express Market is lackluster at best. The store's atmosphere is far from inviting, and the customer service is indifferent at best. It's clear that they prioritize profit over customer satisfaction, further highlighting their disregard for the well-being of the community. I strongly urge parents, community leaders, and responsible adults to avoid this market and take action to protect our youth from this harmful influence.

This place is BAD ASS! • Friendly, normal, everyday people that work at Express Market. • They stock everything for everyone. Great low prices. • I've never had anyone working there tell me they did know about something in their store & I ask a lot of off the wall or weird questions some times, lol! ****Best part is the quarters, with out question or comments. :)~ I still use a coin laundromat & when I need quarters I go to Express Market because the staff always have them on hand, have no problem giving them up & never once been rude or stuck up to me at all! Most places act like it's such a burden or give ya the name of a bank that might be close by, even if it's way past bank open hours. Other places can't seem to help them self's but to hand you the quarters accompanied by that classic, unmistakeable eye roll immediately followed by their turning away to talk to someone else who "matters & isn't invisible to them" if they give them to you at all. Those kinda attitudes are never at Express Market . Express Market People Freaking Rock! Thank you Express Market for never being mean to me even when I was only there to get quarters or just walking by. I appreciate every one of your staff for always being polite & happy to help! You guys rock!

Gosh, I have been going here since the start of the pandemic and I just have to say its so much cleaner, people are so friendly and they have some great snacks. Friday nights are such an ease now after a long day at work because I can grab some snacks since my apartment is so close. I love the variety of salty and sweets snacks they have and I also love that they have cold sandwich's if you get hungry late night. They are open at 7am and have coffee ready. They also have a verity of donuts and protein bars if you miss breakfast like me when I am rushing to work. The staff is so helpful and friendly that they actually brought in specific types of snacks and candies I have requested over the years. They really do appreciate each and every customer. They know me by my name and they also know my dog by his name! During the game we also grab snacks and grab our beers at the end of the game. They have a good selection of beers and ciders. Love love love it!!!

I had a terrible experience at this market recently. First of all, they insisted I take off my backpack while shopping, which felt unnecessary and uncomfortable. To make matters worse, a homeless man almost stole my belongings while they had me distracted. But what shocked me the most was witnessing them sell vapes and weed devices to a kid who couldn't have been older than 12 and appeared to be from the nearby high school. This place clearly lacks security and responsible business practices. I won't be returning.

Worst experience in a market ever. Guy told me i can't touch what I'm buying and lost his mind when i used the debit machine because i wasn't 6ft away from the desk. Tried paying with a hundred dollar bill at first. Maybe get an employee's who's not scared of a cold. 3/26/20 8:30 am. Rating is overall but if another cashier ever loses it when I'm being rang up (I don't care what the excuse is) and throws my money everywhere...I'm taking my money elsewhere. I work in customer service, as well...as a cook, so I can't ever fathom that kind of behavior being okay. I'm going to continue to shop here, just maybe not as much...ya know, don't want to overwork the staff

Used to be a cool vibe, been coming here for years on my way to work and didn't mind the high prices because the staff was great! Your new morning person however, is very disrespectful to the community members with threats and poor judgement, they need training, badly. I have reached out to the owner with concerns, but in typical fashion these days, no response.

This store does not require ID from underage employees working there, I was in this store while two people Working where up at the front, a new worker was asking if they could buy nicotine products Because they werent 21, and the manager lady Told him to just put in a higher birthday and that it doesn't matter As long as they pay. Is very unprofessional.

Charging $6 for a 5oz bag of kettle chips when you are located at the bottom of a low income building just seems wrong. The 5 extra minutes to fred Meyers ($2 there) is worth it at that rate which is really unfortunate because I'd rather not support bigger companies but I can't afford those prices :(

I do not recommend buying any disposable vapes, got one it was a counterfeit. Checking with the verification system, showed the code was checked over 189 times. The employee seemed unbothered and not shocked when I informed her. DO NOT BUY

Some clerks have a tendency to bring thier probs to work...??!!! Not how I would let my employees stay on payroll. However, they have great prices and so I keep going back. It's also quite close to home so....2 outta 3 ain't bad, right?

For the first time I must speak against to the store due to the clerk being rude and abusive to a customer. Unfortunately not all Clerks seem know that personal problems do not give them the right to take it out on customers.

First time stopping at this convenience store, It was very clean compared to other places in Portland. They have a great wine selection, snacks, and even chocolate covered strawberries. Highly recommend this store!!

Best market customer service ever from Callie at the register. Told me where the products I was looking for were urgently. Nice environment and great selection of chips, beverages, and other household products.

guy working there was nice enough to wipe the last customer's blood of the counter before we put our stuff down. but he pretended to be too busy on the phone to answer our questions about the b0ner pills

Friendly and helpful service. Ever since the ownership changed you can definitely notice the difference in cleanliness, inventory and overall environment.
