Ordered a couple pair of pants online and they came way bigger than expected. Took the trip to city creek to exchange in person and make sure I left with the correct size. Mateo, The employee, was quick to help and got me size options to find the right fit. After trying things on and deciding the correct ones we went to the register to find Mateos shift was over and the store manager and another employee had taken over. We were quickly told that they wouldn't be able to process the exchange and I would need to return online and order the correct sizes that way. I was very confused as why and obviously walked out frustrated. It happened to be the same time Mateo was leaving the store, though he was not the store manager he went back in and was able to get our exchange for the correct size processed and taken care of. Throughout this process a separate employee even voiced there opinion about how back and forth the store is with online orders and the many issues they have, which are extremely prevalent in these reviews. Very Grateful for Mateo coming in and saving the day!

I was spending my day shopping for a new suit and went to about 6 other stores before I stopped into Express at the City Creek Center. All the stores including Express had a nice selection some with better prices than others. What stood out at this Express location was 100% the customer service!!!! I had already chosen a few suits I would potentially return to in case I didn't find anything I liked better. Within 5 minutes I put on a suit that I liked and had a customer service rep named Ruben telling me the specifics to look for and what would work best for my build. Enough about the suit. This review is all about Ruben, he earned the 5 stars! To anyone reading this looking to buy some clothes go to this store and chat with Ruben. To anyone on the Express Corporate level looking at how they are doing based on customer experience. Be more like Ruben, foster this type of salesman and most importantly take care of the people you have like him. He and people like him are the key to your success. Make sure you show him the appreciation he deserves. -Lee

Customer service leaves a lot to be desired… I’ve received better customer service at Target! These employees are dressed like they’re cleaning their house. When you work in fashion, you dress the part or at least like you care a little bit. No one offered any assistance, blended in with clientele and were hanging out at the counter literally sitting on it. If express wants to charge $50 for a top, I expect better customer service! It’s more than just about about the clothing. This location is constantly changing their hours, too! It’s not the first time I have driven 30 minutes to get there to find that they closed early and say to shop online. Please let’s stop using Covid as a crutch for why we can’t have normal hours again. I’ve lost out on multiple rewards because of not being able to buy my items in store as I had planned. If I wanted to pay shipping, I would’ve ordered online!

I drove about an hour to this location to make an online return only to be told that they cannot accept it because it was a "third party" item. I was then told to drive all the way to Fashion Place Mall in Murray, ship it back to Express, or go to the factory outlet store in Ogden (which I've previously visited and the employees there told me to go to City Creek to return my item). When I got to the Murray location, they did my online return exchange just fine! It does not make sense to me that I was not able to return my item here when both the SLC and Murray locations are the exact same. Going back and forth between these three locations have been a huge waste of my time and gas, and I will not be shopping here again. MAKE IT MAKE SENSE.

I was really surprised about the lack of customer service at this store. Even though I had a terrible experience with an incorrect order at the Fashion Place store, everyone there was generally helpful and actually was servicing each guest. When we walked into this express to trade a suit, we were never greeted, asked if they could hold the suit in a dressing room, as I was struggling to look at other items with the large item in hand. I was never offered a dressing room to start, I had to get there myself so I could look at other items. The only time an employee even acknowledged us was at the register. Even employees walking around aimlessly, clearly seeing us, didn’t offer to help at all.

Best experience ever! After spending multiple days trying to find uniform “approved clothing” my mom and I finally decided to make the hour drive to Express, and they did not disappoint! The store was clean, organized and all the employees were fantastic, they were all friendly, and they helped us find items both in store and online. Especially Ashton! It was like having our own personal stylist. We explained what we needed and he went above and beyond to get us what we needed. Best customer service experience we ever had! He made our shopping experience fun and special! Employees like Ashton are what makes companies thrive, Ashton definitely deserves a raise for all of his hard work!

I really enjoyed shopping here. The staff is great. Yolanda, the manager is wonderful. Every time I Would go in and shop Yolanda would make sure my experience was exceptional. Their clothes are very stylish very affordable they fit well. They have great deals as well as great coupons too. Yolanda helped me pick out a professional outfit for a job interview and it helped me score my dream job in another city. Although I moved and now my dreams have come true, I still miss shopping frequently at express in City Creek. Yolanda and her wonderful associates will take the time to help you find the right fashions. Thank you so much Yolanda.

I love express and normally shop online. I came to the store to try some of their new stuff on before purchasing. There was no one available to unlock the fitting rooms for me. I finally found someone to open it for me and she told me that the fitting rooms closed at 7:30 since they close at 8. It was 7:31. What is the point of having business hours if you can’t assist your guests until close? I left upset and empty handed. The worst thing is that I probably won’t have enough time to order online for things to arrive on time before my trip. This Express store just lost my business.

The store manager named Mateo is the rudest person I have ever been in contact with. I was in the store at 7:45 when he turned the music off and at 7: 50, 10 minutes before the store closed I asked for a changing room and he said “you’ve got to be kidding me. We close in four minutes.” I said you actually close in 10 minutes can I not try the clothes on? He gave me the worst attitude and said “I better be done in four minutes or else!” I don’t know what he meant by or else? It was so uncomfortable and awkward. I don’t know if I will ever shop there again.

I'm probably going to get the spelling of the name of the employee that helped my boyfriend and I "Heidi" or " Haddie" ? But that girl deserves a raise and a shout out! She was super friendly and helpful. We looked for a suit for him for probably about an hour and couldn't find a jacket to fit ! She took the time to look at other stores and found us the jacket! My bf has a very special event coming up and wants to look his best and she made it possible! Thank you again " Heidi " or " haddie " for making it possible. We will definitely be back!

I initiated an online return with the option to drop the items off at their store. The associate at the store couldn't process the return because the store's system was apparently not communicating with their online system. Even after a call to their customer service line and generation of a new return code, the in-store associate could not complete the return on the in-store system. Update: Called customer service from their in-store register and they walked the three employees through the return. A cool 45 mins later the return was complete.

Went to City creek as I got such poor service at the Fashinonplace store. Which I spoke to the City Creek Manager Robin about Thé minute i walked into City Creek a young man greeted me if a friendly manner. Robin the manger helped me with purchase and listened to my concerns. All in all a good experience and friendly staff. Good Job!

Loved my experience! So many excellent clothes to try on, the fitting experience was excellent. It's a nice, upscale place. We went with a coupon, and couldn't use it do to a half off everything sale, but goodness, that was a sweet sale. All their products are nice a d quality. I'll definitely be going back. Happy girl.

The service is absolutely, 100% amazing. Don't shop anywhere else unless you want lousy service. These workers will go above and beyond especially the manager (Unfortunately forgot his name) and this kind young woman named Hannah -- who needs a pay raise because rent in SLC is too high for a talented College student.

The employees here don’t know how to do returns. Spent an hour in store trying to return items from an online purchase (with the email receipt and within the return timeframe) and nobody could figure it out. Took my return to the fashion place location the next day and they took care of me in under 5 minutes.

Good service (kudos to the staff), but it felt like it took buyers too long to check out, that's probably a corporate issue. They could use new velvet tapestries behind the service desk, and dust off merchandise, accessories and perfumes specifically.

This location is the biggest retail joke. I had $800 worth of suits and the employees lost the security tag remover. After waiting 20 minutes to told me and all the other customers they couldn't sell anything. Didn't seem to care either way though.

This store is fine. They had a good selection of clearance clothes, but didn't have my size of pants in stock (32x30 chinos were what I was looking for). I can only speak for the selection in the Men's section. Staff was courteous during my visit.

Every time I try to come here they are closed, even when the online hours on Google Maps says they're open. Only open until 6pm!?! So anyone that works in the day can never shop here. It makes no sense.
