In New York for our first time 7/2021. On our way to Times Square we passed through the neighborhood after visiting the U.S.S. Intrepid. As a firefighter this was a bucket list house on my list for 23 years. The fellow firefighter was awesome and talked to us for a half hour. They let my little guy sit in the truck, and went above and beyond answering questions about some relics he saw from 9/11
Dropped in to this station on my way back to houston. Was given a tour by brother firefighter Renaud. So much history here. The original front of the station is in the dining area and was burned in a fire several years ago and is an amazing back drop to their dining area. It's black from smoke and is truly something to see. Thanks for the hospitality guys.
Horrible rat problem. And the T-shirt’s shrink after one wash. One guy… a red head hiding in the shade called me a POS. My next visit to the big apple with my volunteer firefighters I’m going to squad 18 or maybe I’ll go to the very hospitable brothers and sisters of the world renowned ladder 107 in queens

We wandered past and the door was open. The kids were quite excited to be ushered in an given a tour of the place by Firefighter Jim. Got to see the inside of the fire truck, the break room, the conference area. Thanks guys!
