I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Farol de Itapuã during my trip to Brazil, and it was an unforgettable experience. This iconic lighthouse, perched majestically on the rocky coastline of Salvador, offers both breathtaking views and a rich sense of history.

For the cheap admission you get to visit the oldest lighthouse on the continent! There is a ton of history here with ship models and salvaged artifacts dating to the 17th century. A must visit for Salvador and be sure to climb up to the top for the views!

It's a splendid place with the sun set. The ocean is clean and the waves come warming the feet. The lighthouse stands to the sea and makes a wonderful plot to photographers. The area is a little risky in terms of safety, one should always be smart.

This is a landmark in Salvador, it is very nice to take pictures and walk for a while. There are many places that prepared food and drinks. You cannot enter to lighthouse, but outside is spectacular.

Beautiful place, but I don't recommend going in the dark time or alone. Unfortunately has a poor security. But in the day time you should go.

Very beautiful landscape. This lighthouse is located on a hotel area and is not open for visitors. But it is worth a selfie from the rocks.
