CHEATING THEIR CUSTOMERS TIME & TIME AGAIN! They pretend they can't change the advertised price on the website. The ACTUAL price is $10 MORE than it says on website. They know exactly what the price on the website says.Then they bring you the eftpos machine to charge you another $2.70 on top of the $8 delivery fee. The family pizza advertised is $14 to suck you in but it is actually $25 .They have been doing this for years and continue to pretend they can't change menu photos on the website. Why would they when they can suck you in with this false pricing.??!! Very manipulative and basically treating customers like morons and happily taking your money. Disgusting and very sneaky. They rely on this inconvenience to you as the customer. If you are happy to be treated like an idiot,feel free to go ahead and order here. They are more than happy to rip you off. Shocking..just deplorable.

There's very nice food available here plus excellent staff but not all of them get paid properly! Make sure to ask your delivery driver if they're getting paid under the correct fast food award which is meant to pay them 41 cents per km driven on deliveries that your paying for every time you place a order! Not to mention non payment of weekend rates and working outside of standard business hours which has other perks that workers like me, that have worked here didn't get paid. These businesses can get away with this to because the current laws aren't enforced but the customer still pays extra and delivery staff especially are written up as just serving coffee during the daytime as a example. This is still happening way to often in the food and hospitality sector but needs to be made more public when nobody can or will help you!

Family came for dinner and ordered via Uber eats food was delivered one person was allergic to gluten and two cream so ordered without that but got a salmon pasta dish with cream in it the meat in the salad was so overcooked dry and salty it was an edible there was a lot of lettuce and two chunks of bread which was supposed to be for a Caesar salad chicken was overcooked slightly edible and the chips were so soggy and disgusting the whole meal for all people here Had to be thrown out as it was not edible I would never buy from this place again and when we phoned them they said they did not have anyone else to replace the meals and didn’t seem to really care to be honest turn up by here it would be the worst I’ve had in years

Not sure what this oma is on about considering you can ask on the phone how much it’ll be before they come to your door but this shop it’s quite a good little shop I’m usually going to the Kilsyth shop most of the time but tried out this one while at a friends place and they were just as good as the Kilsyth one and the eftpos machine for the delivery’s are very convenient ☺️

Over the road from the train station sits an odd-looking little shop, tucked away off of the main drag, manned only by a tiny crew of hard working locals who give it their absolute all. This place offers some of - if not - THE BEST burgers and pizzas I have ever had the pleasure of trying. Burgers big enough to feed two people, pizzas so delicious I’m starting to think of running away from my wife and starting an illegitimate family with the Meatlovers pizza, somewhere in the Caribbean. Just give these bloody legends a shot!

Mad vegan options. Old skool authentic pizza bases. Lots of topping. Take away. Don't be fooled by the exterior or interior, this place is a hidden gem and has a crazy selection of food.

Ordered the meat extreme calzone and it was delicious. Ordered from these guys plenty over the last 5 years since moving to Australia, and the pizzas and pasta have always been top notch. Seriously worth every penny and highly recommended! Only tip I could give is that back home, calzones usually have a little sauce on top to add a bit of moisture.

Owner seems like a friendly guy, but the food was lousy. Not what I expected based on the reviews here. Ordered the Chef's Special pizza. At first glance, it appeared rich with toppings- then I realized 80% of those toppings were just an abundance of shredded ham. It was salty, had very little cheese, and lacked any real variety in ingredients. The House Special Pasta was undercooked with a bland and watery sauce. Not the creamy pasta I was expecting. Overall, a very disappointing experience.

The best pizza joint in the Knox area! Prices are reasonable, portions are generous and super yummy! Some of my guests haven't liked their ham, I think it's mainly because they put way too much (I'm not complaining lol). So if not a big fan of Ham either avoid the pizzas with that or ask the friendly staff if they can put less ham on your pizza. I like their burgers as well. Always a go to for us, as we know they are open al.ost everyday of the year (apart from Christmas).

Ordered a vege lasagna takeaway & might have misheard over the phone that it was spinach and ricotta. Called and asked if I could swap for a vege pizza instead because I am vegan.....10 mins later I got a beautifully seasoned veg pizza without cheese. Didn't even have to mention no cheese. Thanks guys, as a vegan eating out can be hard sometimes because I forget to mention to leave things out. It's what great customer service is all about. Cheers

Been eating here for years, usually love the pizza but gee its gone downhill. Last 2 pizzas I've ordered have for some unknown reason been covered in breadcrumbs on the base (picture to be posted) making the dough taste dry and gluggy, soaking up all of the tomoto paste base. Had Upwey Pizza at a friends place last week and it was excellent - which just outlined how poor the pizza from Fat Chefs has become. Time to try elsewhere...

Best pizza in the area by far. It's not a sit down restaurant, but rather a delivery/take away place. Never had a bad time with them, even when I do a late night order. Great pizza you won't be disappointed

My work did an order here last night (kebabs and pizzas) and I got a ‘gormet’ one... OMG it was amazing and soooooo delicious!! I enjoyed EVERY bite!! Everybody thoroughly enjoyed their food and I have never witnessed the whole room so quiet before while everyone was eating lol!! One of the best pizzas I have had in my life and will not hesitate to return or recommend thanks guys, keep up the awesome work

Ordered pizza the for lunch the other day from a place in Boronia....was the only place open during the day, really wanted pizza, should have just not ate at all, was so disappointed. I drop in occasionally to Fat Chef Pizza. I've bought some of the non pizza food which Fat Chef has a good selection. I like Mixed Grill of the Gods. The pizzas are pretty good also. Parking is good. Easy entrance for disabled. Oh and coffee is good. I find the prices reasonable. Fat Chef has a pretty relaxed atmosphere. The staff are easy to talk with, easy going and friendly and that's always a bonus to any business.

No matter where else I go for pizza to try other options, I always find myself coming back here. Good value, excellent pizza with generous, quality toppings. I've tried, but can't beat them.

'the One with Alnost Everything' Pizza, Meat Extreme, Aussie Pizza

One of the items that we ordered has been mistakenly replaced by an other item and we realised that half way back home as it is a pickup order. Rang up the store and they were happy to deliver the food that we ordered even though our place is not in their delivery area. Pizza tastes good. The sides are very salty, couldn’t eat them even though they were crunchy.

Pizza was tasty but they messed up my order and lied when I called. I can definitely taste and feel the difference between vegan cheese and real cheese. It could have been a simple mistake and apology but they handled it very poorly. I also asked what brand of vegan cheese they used that resembled real cheese so very perfectly in melt and taste but she abruptly said goodbye and ended the call.

Have been going to Fat Chef for years they do make great pizza, lately though the service has gone down hill. Especially with a recent order, simply put, they couldnt care less that they messed up my order. I was actually treated like dirt when I took my order back. I voiced my concern and said I won't be back, I was then treated to a reply I was shocked with! " good, we don't need you back"

This place has gone down hill since the start of 2023. They must be facing bankruptcy since they have stopped, God forbid, putting cheese and tomato paste on their pizzas. McCains pizza slices have more dough than these "papadum" pizza bases.

Most of the time everything is pretty damn good. The last few times I've ordered they have doused some of the 'snacks' with WAAAAY too much salt (as in an inedible amount) Service staff are pretty much awesome all the time. Order mix ups/incorrect times given have occurred on a few occasions (via the menulog app)

Worst meal I have had. steak extremely over done. Chips and salad soggy. Straight in the bin. Very disappointed after being highly recommended. would never use again or recommend. Total waist of money $36.00 straight into the bin and still hungry. Tried to call and complain but no answer. Very disappointed and as I say will never use again or recommend.

What a shame this place went from being so good to progressively terrible! If you want good pizza with a side of bad attitude and terrible customer service, then you've come to the right place. Hopefully it gets new management and returns to its former glory. In the meantime there are plenty of other FRIENDLIER pizza shops that deserve more business.

Basically I have been ordering food from the last 6 years, tonight we ordered sweet potato chips, potato cake and curly fries, sweet potato chips were burnt and uneatable, curly fries were cooked with bad oil and soggy, potato cake was under cooked and soft serve came in a takeaway coffee cup, definitely will not come back after tonight’s food

The last time I typed a review for this place it was only 4 stars because I’d found the service a bit hit and miss. But I’m replacing that review with this one because they’ve been nothing short of amazing ever since! Hands down the best pizza I’ve ever had. I love this place. I always stay away from takeaways that have everything in their menu. However, Fat Chef’s rocks. Everything is at least good, and the menu is incredibly extensive. I’ve been coming here for years and have just discovered you can order sautéed seasonal green veggies. Wild. Not your ordinary pizza and pasta joint!

Tried due to recommendations. Got home and opened the box to find an uncut pizza with items tossed on as an afterthought on top of the cheese. Massively lacking in toppings other than the cheese and items tossed on top. Wouldn’t even feed it to my dogs, total waste of time. Back to trusty Upwey Pizza who have never disappointed!

The lover of meats was most definitely the worst pizza I have ever attempted to eat in my life. Great coffee......one of the best pizzas ive had..i live on the other side of the city...more than 45min drive ...always look forward to it when we are over that side.anything we have ordered from fat pizza has been really nice and fresh....i dont understand bad reviews for this store...everything's beautiful.

Alot of the time after my partner coming off the road from work we can always rely on these guys to give us great quality meals. I had a chicken ceaser salad it was enough for two to share. You guys put pubs and so called restaurants to shame when they can't do a ceaser salad. Great work guys!

I got a porterhouse steak with mushroom sauce on Sunday night ,I ordered the steak medium it was overcooked ,the mushroom sauce had a nice flavour but was really thin didn't stay on the steak flooded across my plate and made my chips which were slightly under cooked all soggy

Food is delicious and reasonably priced. Even at there busiest time the quality of their food is amazing. There is a bit of a wait during peak times (up to an hour at times) but the food is well worth the wait. Definitely would recommend to everyone who loves pizza.

Gone down hill . Takes forever to get Order . Waited for an 1 and a 1/4 on a Wednesday night !! Food quality has gotten average. Pizzas are always so oily. Had chips that were pale and 1/2 raw. Salad your lucky to get a piece of tomato. Sorry guys I think I’m done.

First time at Fat Chef's. Loved the pizza and wedges with sour cream I ordered (could be more sour cream and chilli sauce but no biggy). The staff were wonderful, especially the young lady who carried my order to the car as I was on crutches. Well done!

I"ve been meaning to review this place for a while. Good pizza. Some say it is a little oily on the cardboard after picking up a slice, but that just means they are using proper meat and cheese and lots of it. Price is about right for the 8/10 quality.

Always make great pizza! And personally asked for a joke, did not disappoint thank you!

Before 2 months ago, the pizzas were amazing with great toppings and cooked perfectly. Now, they come with everything dumped near the middle and, after 3 orders in the last 6 weeks ( just to see if it was a 1 off), it's burnt on top always.

Best Pizza in the gully... :) Actually probably the best in the area... tried most of the ones in Boronia and Mountain Gate.. *edit Sept 2016 - still the best pizza in the area by far.. Ordering online is great, never had a delivery issue.

My wife and I love this place, we make the 30 min trek to Ferntree Gully just to order from here. The service is great, we rarely have to wait long, and the quality of the food is excellent.

Far too salty, I got pepperoni and hawaiian delivered, it was hot, quick and looked great. It tasted good to apart from the overwhelming level of saltiness, I couldn't eat more than a couple of slices it was way to salty

We’ve ordered pizza from Fat Chef probably a dozen or so times. It’s always good. Ordered it tonight and oh my god it was next level. Who ever was in the kitchen tonight is a pizza god.

Probably the best take-away pizza I've ever had. Can't really go wrong. Haven't tried the rest of their menu, but the other reviews should speak for themselves. Pizzas are sure winners.

Shop has been remodelled, which is great, still not much room to eat in, although you can, great for takeaways, lots to choose from, and staff are lovely.
