We arrived lunch time with friends and we was so excited to taste some Filipino food. But unfortunately we was so disappointed. Came and check the menu on the screen and delighted to see the variety of choices but all what we asked from the menu wasn’t available. It was lunch time and all you can avail is all pork dishes only. It’s like “Pork day”. It’s like 5 dishes with all pork. No chicken or beef or Vegetables to offer. Also, surprisingly staff not friendly they look like annoyed as we asking if there any chicken or vegetables to offer. And the frustrating part. When the “chef jumps in saying “what we have in the menu is in your front and giving us a massive attitude”. So please next time if your chef can only cook pork then remove in your menu the rest or at list put unavailable. And please put some label on your cooked dishes and product. So customers will have idea and food allergen for your business safety. We end up buying sweet breads and leave the place. Please don’t take this as negative feed back. It’s a constructive criticism to keep you business going.

Although the name is confusing, this Bakery/Cafe is a mini restaurant where you can buy various Philippine pastries and desserts, as well as actual meals. We spent some time reading the menu on the digital screen, only to find out that the shop isn't even serving that menu. Instead, there are a few dishes displayed next to the counter from which you can choose, which didn't make much sense. There are no basic tags in front of the dishes, so you literally need to ask the seller what each dish is and what meat is used. You can get a meal deal (one dish of your choice + a bowl of rice + water/soft drink). However, it doesn't seem like a meal deal at all, as it's really expensive for what it offers, and the portion of the main dish is really tiny. The dishes were good in terms of taste, but they are definitely overpriced and, unless you aren't really hungry in the first place, you won't get full. Also, the staff wasn't very friendly. They weren't impolite or unfriendly either, but seemed quite indifferent and showed very little interest in you as a potential customer, at least of you are not Filipino.

As someone of Filipino descent, I would say the food at Filipino Bakery Café in Dublin city centre is authentic and genuinely delicious for a café. At the time, we had their menudo and bistek Tagalog which were very flavourful. They also had pancit, sinigang and dinuguan at the time of our visit which all looked very appetising. I know they’re a relatively new spot (at the time of writing) but prices should be very clearly on display (like peg letter boards, laminated sheets, chalkboards or menus with concise description of key ingredients). I think they should also have succinct explainers of the food on offer is to help those who aren’t too familiar with Filipino food. I would say the general public in Ireland wouldn’t be very familiar with Filipino food, unlike Japanese or Thai. Not a lot of options for vegetarians either, I think. I would still go back here and I wish them success. I look forward to trying out more of their food (I hope they have tapsilog next time!)

I want this place to succeed so here's some constructive feedback: 1) Label your dishes with a name + description so that non-Pinoys know what to expect. I've dined here multiple times and every single time, I see how non-Filipinos get curious, they enter the cafe and then they walk out because they don't know what and how to order. There is no visible signage to explain the cuisine. How about a board that explains the "turo turo" system? Service to Filipinos is as expected, but there's 0 customer service to potential non-Pinoy customers. How about being more proactive to explain the cuisine (especially since Pinoys are renowned for hospitality and friendliness)? Take your cue from the Bolivian joint at Moore St. mall: there, everything is clear. 2) Food tastes great, but it's mostly meat. Try adding more veg and seafood options as well as better quality rice.

UPDATE: I came here back to enjoy their delicious food but I was extremely disappointed.. the Sinigang soup taste was soo off.. fatty taste, and not sour at all, they probably forgot the tamarind or something, no veggies in it, I had one bite and left it there.. the sweet pork adobo was fine.

Good atmosphere, feels like at home in Philippines with the music and the familiar scenery, Christmas is coming. Service is very good as well, very nice staffs, polite and smiling, and always helpful. And yes, the best part is the food! The tastes are amazing, the only legit Filipino tasty food I've had in Dublin. Most of all, the best part is the desert . That halo halo is the best one I've had in both the Philippines and here in Ireland. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend trying their amazing foods. You won't be disappointed.

They were busy preparing take away orders for the festival days. We wanted to order from the menu but there was only a lunch buffet. There was only beef and pork available, we would have liked to try chicken. The pork and the beef were very fatty. The Rice, i think jasmin rice was also not fresh and cold. We were really disapponted, didn't eat it and went to another restaurant.

I have been waiting for a Filipino restaurant to open and I'm so happy this one has as it did not dissapoint. The staff were lovely and happy to help. It was a buffet style menu with a great variety of choice, and the food itself was classic Filipino homely food. I felt like a kid at Christmas!! As it was like I was back in an eatery in the Philippines. It also has a huge selection of cakes, breads and desserts so will be coming back for more!! Best of luck in your new shop :)

Filipino food is always the best the flavour was spot on but i think it's overpriced! I had a snall bowl of dinuguan and a medium plate of pansit and a bottle of water and cost me €21!!!! It's more expensive than the high end restaurant in dublin! I would come back of course but they need to cop on with their price!

One of the very few Filipino cafe and bakery in Dublin. The breads are sold as they you would expect them to be like back home, in bundles and plactic bags. The desserts are delightful, reminds me of home, turon as my fave. The ulams are tasty and reasonably priced. A must try for Filipino food cravings.

Came here for lunch. Very good. The meat is on the fatty side so if that’s not your thing, then that’s not your thing. People are lovely here. We are in the middle of the city so generally prices are higher. I see a lot of fellow Filipinos (of all ages) here so I know this place is legit.

The bread is dry, not fresh. Food in general are too expensive for the quality. Price is not reasonable but the service crew are friendly.
