We popped in to the Filter Cafe in Mortdale this afternoon for a late lunch. We were offered drinks to start and then the host offered us menus then also explained the specials which were on offer. I had to run with the fresh croissant served with scrambled eggs resting upon pulled pork. The combination with the soft buttery sweetness with the pork and eggs, with a beautiful yet light chutney sauce and asparagus was absolutely amazing and definitely a must try! The food selection offered at the Filter has a wide range which covers not only vegetarian and gluten free, but the menu well caters for those looking at good healthy dietary options as well. We love coming here as the atmosphere is always calm and relaxing, with an upbeat soft tune playing in the background and the staff are always so friendly and helpful. The meals and snacks are tasteful and delicious and I highly recommend a visits….or two!

Food was okay. The table and cups were dirty. Also, they should make sure they have enough gluten free bread as it happened that my friend asked if they provide gluten free options but when she was ordering the waiter told her they didn't have enough of gluten free bread and she couldn't get what she wanted. Still, I don't understand why they couldn't do it with two slices of bread instead of three slices as my friend it's okay to have less bread but they insisted that she couldn't have that meal.

I bought a coffee here. The girl behind the counter touched her face and hair then came up and grabbed my cup, that the barista was making, on the top, placing her whole hand over the rim. He took the cup away from her but didn’t change it out. I don’t think the people here have done their food service certification (council, where are your standards officers?) and this was so blasé that I wouldn’t be comfortable purchasing from them again. The pricing is double everywhere else and the quality is lower. Go somewhere else.

Outstanding food! I have been using doordash to deliver my food from this cafe and legit has been served hot, eggs still sunny side up and runny and the quality of consistency on taste and size is unbelievable. Highly recommend this cafe. The bacon and egg on a Turkish burger bun is so delicious!

We dropped in for a late breakfast and had a delicious meal with fast and friendly service. Our eggs were perfectly cooked with firm whites and runny yolks. We added a couple of side orders and was pleasantly suprised at how much was in the plate. And also perfectly cooked

Great little cafe to add to the already spoilt choices in mortdale. Nice alfresco set up in the back, with plenty of fresh air and sunlight. Breakfast burrito was on point! And they did not hold back on the acai!!

Love love love this place. Here is why: 1. The staff is super attentive and always remember my name and even greet me in my mother tongue. 2. The coffee is the best in Mortdale and at a good price. 3. They are quick and efficient.

Overall a good café, highlight is definitely the staff, super friendly and chatty. Food and drinks were average, maybe a bit underwhelming compared to their online photos, but reasonable prices. Thee café has a relaxed and easy atmosphere, great for a casual catch-up with friends.

Its fantastic to have a trendy cafe that serves Campos coffee and an all day breakfast here in sleepy more pedestrian suburb of Mortdale. Had the Rueben Sambo! It was amazing delucious! Eggs Benie superb too! Great food, fantastic service.

Very basic. Egg and bacon roll was stale and the dog wouldn't even eat it. They constantly get orders wrong and waste time and money. They dont have Skim milk but wont tell you that and you'll get a horrible tasting coffee that you dont

Lovely cafe with delicious breakfast Hoosiers (served all day). Had a fresh OJ with CILPIR (?) but it was grilled eggplant, smoked salmon, chili oil, pomegranate and poached eggs. Was sooooo good! New local! Friendly service too.
