Unfortunately we had quite a disappointing visit at the Fire Station. We booked for a bottomless brunch for 3 people and were very let down by the service. We ordered promptly after arriving and it then took 30 minutes to receive our first drinks order which came after our food. The food was also not as expected with the hash brown nachos arriving cold as if they had been sat around waiting to be served to us. We had all been to bottomless brunches at other establishments and were expecting a similar service whereby the server would replenish our drinks as we ordered them. However in the first half (one hour) of our booking here, we had only had 2 Prosecco drinks each. Even though we were constantly trying to get the servers attention but often found there were no staff members in the section we were sat. At one point we had been waiting half an hour to be served a drink so went up to the bar but unfortunately were told we could not order up there. We were very frustrated and let down by the service and were disappointed at the price per person for the service we received. We even asked the server at one point if it was really busy could we order two drinks to save them the back and forth, at this they said, “no, it’s not too busy”. We felt frustrated at this as it seemed we were just being forgotten about in our section and often saw the server sat down performing other job tasks rather than serving us as we tried to get their attention. Due to this we would not return to this site and won’t be recommending to others. Really disappointing.

We went to the Fire station pub for a family dinner to celebrate my daughters bday. Initially we thought it was a bit too loud but a few minutes into getting settled at our table we started liking the vibe of the place. The staff I must say for a Saturday evening were fab, calm and in control. The food was amazing…. It is not a typical pub food u expect. There is twist in the food menu. Loved the small plates to share. And the angry fries are delicious. The star dishes were hash brown nachos, bang bang cauliflower, butter milk sliders. The menu is a mix of Asian flavours along with Italian and British flavours. Our server was Elizebeth. She was so kind and sweet. She has made my girls love a loud pub…The chef , Elizebeth and the manager them selves came around to sing happy birthday for my daughter got my daughter their chocolate brownie. My kids were tired but I must say my eldest daughters day was made. Thank you fire station team. We had a fab time.

Initially thought this place would be quite cool being an old fire station but it was literally falling apart. The tables and chairs were all wobbly and it was really uncomfortable. I had ordered Angry Fries (10/10) and a Katsu Halloumi Burger which still had the halloumi plastic wrapping on it. The meal was replaced swiftly and it was taken off the bill which was a kind gesture, so thank you. My friend was charged and given a medium wine when she had asked for a small. That was then adjusted on the bill, another kind gesture. Our dirty plates were left on our table for over an hour, we were not asked if we would like any more drinks or desserts. I would have thought considering I had bitten into plastic that they would've made up for the rest of the dining experience by checking in on us occasionally. The toilet seats were hanging off and they absolutely stank. Safe to say that I won't be going back there. This was a special occasion and it was disappointing that our dining experience wasn't great.

Have passed this location in Waterloo for a number of years while visiting. It is usually busy on the weekends when I am in town and have skipped it not wanting to wait. This year I had an opportunity to go when it was less crowded during the week and really enjoyed it. The beer selection was good, lots of options for those who like to try a variety of pours. I had a hamburger and it was quite good. Burger was a little more done than I like, but I find that is the usual result in the UK, it must be a health standard but overall the burger was quite good. The English know how to make a proper bacon slice and it is way better than the American version so I really liked it. The only knock was the service. The waitress was a little off that night and there was a slight communication/understanding barrier between us. She disappeared when it was time to pay so we had to get a manager to get the check, otherwise I really enjoyed the place. Very cool interior too, worth a visit just to see how they have saved the inside of the old fire station.
on arrival it took 2 people to find my booking while we stood waiting the table waitress was very smily and nice the caeser salads were tired - lettuce brown at the edges, avocado was going black, garlic croutons were in fact toasted bread crusts which were too hard to bite. for pudding I went for the Prosecco infused vanilla ice cream dipped in white chocolate, strawberries, meringue pieces and strawberry coulis. This is just simply a lie - it was in fact a white chocolate Magnum bar (with the stick still in it) with 2 crumbs of meringue and a thin layer of strawberry sauce. To my knowledge, Magnum bars do not include Prosecco. I think you are in breach of trading standards with this dish to be honest. £8.25 for this is just an insult Coffee was nice. Its a great venue and a good location but we won't be coming back I'm afraid.

On arrival we had to wait an unacceptable amount of time before a table host came to greet us and take us to our table, it was at least 4 mins before we were acknowledged and there was no one ahead of us to be seated. The friends we ate with (table for 4) one was allergic to chilli and when ordering the good she was able to eat, e.g. halloumi fries they were specific to say not to have the chilli jam and what was presented had the chilli smeared all over the halloumi. The service was very slow, one main was over 5 mins late joining the others, so we ate at separate times and the experience this time was so far removed from the first time I ate at the Fire Station, based on my current view of this restaurant/bar I would not return or recommend sadly.

We came here for lunch as we work around the corner, there were 3 of us. We had booked a few weeks before and was looking forward to it. When we arrived, the waitress who greeted us seemed confused and was leading us to the high bar stools with the table, we refused, and then she offered us a table. Bearing in mind, it was not busy. We ordered our food and drinks, the food was just ok but the drinks came when we had nearly finished our food, we had to ask for it. Then, one of my colleagues wanted afters. We waited around 25 before it was served it was just an ice cream on a stick with strawberries, so I'm not sure what took so long. Again, I think they had forgotten. We couldn't wait to leave.

The place offers brunch, but when I last visited it was out of sweet options and this was not advertised in advance: the waiter only mentioned that what I have choosen was unavailable and only after my second choice mentioned that they only had Ice-cream. The situation could have been managed better as it could have been a dealbreaker and have led to a different choice of venue if known beforehand. However, the 'Full English' was reported good by the other guests and they were pretty happy with their choice. To add to the confusion, the online menu doesn't show any sweet option for the brunch (which are instead available in the physical menu). It would be sufficient to share with the client an up to date version of the menu and be consistent in the communication. What a pity!
The staff are really friendly and efficient, with great customer service. Excellent selection of beers and drinks. We love the menu, the choices seemed slightly different to our last visit. The food is delicious and good value for money with an interesting variety for everyone. In general the restaurant is clean and tidy, with a great choice of settings to sit, from the bar to the quieter restaurant area. We will be back! Highly recommended!

First time at the Fire Station. We were going to come last week but we had a train to get at 14:35 and we arrived at Waterloo at 13:00, so we thought it might be a bit tight. So, we decided to come today when we had no time restraints, and I'm glad we did! First class service, and the food was of a great standard too. The ambiance and atmosphere was excellent too, as was the choice. If you are in the area, make sure you pay a visit to the Fire Station.

I didn’t get to know various member of staff or the chef by name like many of the reviews on Google. Perhaps they aren’t quite shooting straight or perhaps I’m a bit of a cynic. To the venue itself. It’s certainly not the best watering hole near the station and The Welly, Waterloo Tap and Hole in the Wall come in much cheaper. The lady behind the bar was nice enough, but £3.70 for half a Gamma Ray is scandalous. Truth be told it’s just a bit average here and The Victory above the station concourse is a tad more reasonable and convenient. A Wetherspoons is also coming soon, so in my opinion The Fire Station needs to up its game and be more realistic with its prices.

I booked to have lunch with a friend. We chose you because the website offered a Christmas menu. We were seated on a wobbly table for 2 in the dining room near bigger parties and tables which needed clearing. The standard menu of pizzas and burgers etc was put in front of us and that is the last we saw of any staff. My friend used the bathroom, then I did, no one approached us to take a drink order or give us the opportunity to ask about the Christmas menu. We left and went to Cotes Royal Festival Hall where we spent over £100. No one noticed us leaving. This is a shame as I’ve been for drinks lots of times over the years and have eaten in the bar side and I’ve always had a good experience.
It was a mixed bag experience. I made some last minute changes to the booking and the restaurant was very understanding about this, which I really appreciated. The service was also mixed, we had to request a diet Pepsi 5 times before it arrived. At one point a waitress told us off for being noisy as we were in the quiet section -not sure why we were put there as it was an annual Xmas lunch with uni friends. The main was excellent (although we had to request cranberry sauce) but the starter and desert were not good. The staff ensured that we had our table in the bar after the meal, which was appreciated.

Good points. Great waitress - very attentive and patient. Good brunch choices and very tasty. Arrived promptly. Clean and fresh. Clean toilets. Points to be improved: The booking process wasn't smooth. I booked online and it wouldn't accept it - I had to wait on confirmation. That didn't arrive so I phoned directly and smoke to a very nice chap who accepted it on the system. Then, when we arrived on Thursday there was no record of the booking on the daily schedule. Fortunately, there were plenty of tables and we got seated. However, I thought it was worth mentioning because otherwise you are doing a great job. Thank you and Merry Christmas. We hope to see you again very soon.
Seated promptly & drink orders taken. Menu on table. When the waiter came back to take the order, he told us it was only the brunch menu available until 12 ( should have told us on seating) I chose something different My daughters choice was on the brunch menu. Waiter came back again to say her choice wasn’t available. The only vegetarian option they could give her was Eggs!! I find it hard to believe you’re unable to cook the whole menu from opening. & that in this day & age your vegetarian/vegan options are so limited.

We absolutely love the Fire Station. We must have visited 5 or 6 times in the last 4 months. The cocktail menu is inventive, and the drinks are delicious. Foodwise, the pizzas are some of the best we've had, and their vegetarian burgers are both excellent (I've had the onion bhaji and the mushroom). We've thoroughly enjoyed everything we've eaten and drunk there :) we've already booked a table for Christmas, because we know the options with be phenomenal! The staff are also great. Down to earth, attentive, and a delight to talk to. They've been super helpful whenever we've had questions, and always seem happy to chat. Can't recommend this place enough :)
Burgers, beer, and big screen sports... what more can a man ask for? (Here for the RWC quarter finals). There are plenty of tables and space. They do more than burgers, of course. The food is what you'd expect for a pub or sports bar. I remember having a great breakfast here before catching a train, but that was a while ago now. I have a soft spot for this pub as I have been coming here on and off since the 90s, so maybe a little bias in my review :-) Tonight, the Hobgoblin wasn't up to scratch, but there are plenty of other lagers, stouts, spirits, and other drinks to choose from - so no worries.

Alex was our sever and did a great job! He was attentive, had a great personality and made our last dinner in London the best! We ordered lots of burgers and pizza and they were delicious! We were sitting by the kitchen and heard the manager call the employees in the back, each by name, to let them know they were doing a great job. Hearing this it’s no wonder folks like to work and eat here as the atmosphere is upbeat and the food is stellar! I highly recommend The Fire Station!

It Rememberance Day meeting my friend Helen who I've not seen for almost two years! Helen ordered the naked bacon burger with sweet potato fries. It looked great. I ordered the naked plant based burger . It was certainly NOT made with love, more like thrown on the plate with no care or attention. VERY dissatisfied with the presentation of mine. Will I go back, probably not. Shame really, seeing as Helen frequently visits this venue when in London.

We've had breakfast at the Fire Station on a number of occasions now, and consistently it's been great. Some of our favourite options have disappeared off the menu over the years, but there's enough choice to replace them with something new. On our latest trip, we had originally planned to eat at Grind in Waterloo. But after sitting at the table for twenty minutes with the staff showing no interest in serving us, we came back to the dependable Fire Station, were seated and served within minutes by the lovely Aavash and had another great breakfast. Would continue to recommend!
What a lovely experience, I booked this for our team Christmas lunch and it did not disappoint. The service was smooth and the staff very attentive. Everyone enjoyed all their food, I had the roast turkey which was delicious, perfectly cooked turkey, roast potatoes and veggie. Having everyone's name places and what they had ordered on the table was just a great touch, again this made the whole experience so smooth and enjoyable. Would highly recommend, great food at a great price! thank you

A large group of us came here for brunch before a work event. The service was great and the food was fantastic. I had the halloumi shakshuka and it was so delicious! When you are with a big group of people where people are adding extras or taking away from menu items, sometimes it inevitable that something isn't right, but it was all perfect and served up in good time. The server was friendly and really attentive. The location is superb so close to the station, selection of food and drink also spot on. I would absolutely recommend this to other and will definitely return!
The Fire Station is a very andi had a great time here. The burgers were big and the selection of beers and other beverages were pleasingly wide-ranging. What I love most about the Fire Station is the interior. As the name suggests, it does resemble a Fire Station inside. I don't know if it was indeed a Fire Station before, but I wouldn't bet against it not being one previously. There's not a bad word to say about this venue. If you're looking for solid good pub grub in a lively and unique setting that's close to Waterloo station, The Fire Station would be a good call.
The staff were very friendly and welcoming, a special call out to Elizabeth who was very friendly, welcoming, engaging and could not have done more to make our visit such a great experience, I wanted something different to the menu and she couldn't have been more accommodating from finding out if chef could make amendments to coming back to offer suggestions, so thanks also to the chef for the tweaks. Funky venue, good atmosphere and good food & beer at good prices, we shall be back

Lovely, cheerful service but shame about the food. Caesar salad was soaked in cloying mayo, the avocado was barely discernible and had a greyish tinge, croutons were burnt and the chicken dry. Pizzas had a scrape of tomato sauce with meagre toppings and a burger was small with very few chips (we are used to the wonderful Beefy Boys of Hereford). Ice cream was better but expensive. Place was deserted and this should have been a clue. Whole place looked tired.

I booked a table in advance for 11 people for my birthday celebrations and pre-ordered some drink packages. The whole process was really easy. On the day Ualid looked after us really well despite the bar being very busy. We arrived at 2.30pm and ended up staying until 8.45pm! A few people ordered pizza which they said was very tasty. Only downside is it’s a noisy venue but that didn’t spoil things. A really great time had by all! Thank you.

We came at our allotted time and went to the bar where we were greeted by a friendly bar man although despite booking it was as if our arrival was a surprise. A waitress was summonsed to find us a table in the practically empty restaurant which she found and pointed to. At this point we didn’t feel welcome, more of an imposition really and decided to leave as we didn’t want to eat in an empty restaurant surrounded by staff who looked like they wanted to go home. It was 2030 hours.

Like if you find this helpful. Conveniently located for After work drinks. It has a great selection of beers on tap including the popular Fire Station Stout and Camden Hells. A number of cocktails and mocktails on offer as well as a selection of Champagne and Sparkling. (Mort, Veuve , Dom). The food is not to be missed at this place. Hand made pizzas ( Jerk Chicken and Beef Ragu toppings) and some well selected sharing platters amongst other offerings of burgers & breakfast. Not disappointing and crowd pleasing.
Great location with friendly staff, this pub is gorgeous inside with a nice vibe. It’s usually very busy with after work drinkers and fizzles out the later it is. They have a great selection of drinks and it is perfect for quick bites close to Waterloo station. They have small seated area outside and a separate dining area further inside but also serve food to bar tables. They also have yummy frozen margaritas!

Great burgers and even better staff. I went in in search of a burger and stumbled upon the maple bacon burger and parmesan fries. My order was initially mis-prepared, however, the staff was so kind enough to go to the kitchen and make sure it was properly prepared. On top of that, she provided me a discount. The Fire Station Stout brew was mediocre. It was definitely on the light side of stouts if you ask me. Nonetheless, I'd rate the food and beer a 4/5 and staff 5/5.

Nice convenient bar to catch up with friends - about a minutes' walk from Waterloo tube station (Waterloo Road entrance), a little longer from other exits. Drinks seem pricey (2 drinks £20), friend also got a round in, so nearly £40 for 4 drinks. I guess I'm used to 2-for-1 happy hour offered at other bars. It was just a handy place to catch up with a friend after work. Didn't have food.

Pub set in an old firestation, quaint decor and welcoming atmosphere. The drinks menu was extensive but the food menu was less so. We got the beer and beef burger, onion slaw, a bacon and beef burger and the set off the kids’ menu. Fresh, tasty ingredients. The starter of cheese and sour cream tacos for the kid was a big serving, as were the rest of our orders. Good choice if you are around Waterloo Station.

Most of the staff were helpful & welcoming. The food came out in good time, it was unfortunate that the waitress had forgotten two orders so most were finished eating when they got their orders. We had a birthday celebration and the team played a birthday song, lit the candles and brought the cake out with plates and cutlery. I can’t fault the experience it was a good choice!
We ordered drinks and a portion of fries, and all is wonderful. It was a working day at around 15h45 when it's not super busy, and finding a table was easy, and the service was quick. As this very enjoyable pub is practically in Waterloo Station, it is extremely well connected to public transport but also gets very busy around rush hour. The prices are central London prices.
Good service and vibe. Came as a large group and sat to order food. Sourdough pizza was ok, the toppings was very nice but the pizza base isn't your usual sourdough, very thing crust and crispy. I enjoyed it but I could see others not liking it. Very close to Waterloo station and a decent place if you're looking for a drink or bite to eat. Mains consist of pizzas and burgers
It's a great place for a catch up with friends. We were not disturbed, it was not too busy so we didn't feel that we had to rush. Eddie knocked it out of the park as the best bartender in London! Even while we waited days for the BlackBerry and Cucumber Smash cocktail, he continued to create other cocktails to appease us while their blackberry shipment came in. He was funny, creative and served us some killer cocktails every time! Thanks for being our go-to spot for the week.
Great buzzy place to eat. The beef burgers were really good and would recommend. Our waitress, Elizabeth, was brilliant, very welcoming and attentive with a lovely smile, she made sure we left as satisfied customers

It was a quiet Tuesday afternoon when I was in the pub the staff were good and helpful very lively and humerus I wasn't very impressed by the upside-down burger thing I was served but I may have caught them on a bad day or shift change even the couple sat next to me thought it looked awful.

We were served by Nathan! What a legend! We went in for a quick drink for the 2 for 1 cocktail deal. The drink we wanted wasn’t in the deal but he put it in for us as a kind gesture. The drink was the mai tai on paper… ABSOLUTE SEND OF A DRINK . Strongly recommend!

We visited twice, once for drinks and once for food. In both cases the staff were wondefully friendly, welcoming and professional. The food is excellent, i would highly recommend it (and I promise I don't often take time to write these).

Got the chicken Caesar salad and it was pretty average, some of the avocados used were pretty hard and unripe, service was delayed as staff told us there was a big Christmas party order so they could not make our food as quickly. However, the staff were mostly polite despite being busy.

Great place to go, prices are good and the service is great. Full English did bit have black pudding, but for the most part was pretty on point. Really good to visit if you're delayed or waiting on the trains.

This was a good pub to meet and to start our "old boys" Stag do right next to Waterloo Station. Drinks prices similar to rural Wiltshire and the pizzas helped to soak up the beers. Great atmosphere but some of the upholstery is in need of replacement.

Limited food available, but it grumpy staff and chef not really keen to make a good impression. Asked for a tweaked full British due to dietary requirements (as no lunch menu was available!) And I got the saddest presented plate on earth. Underwhelmed

Brilliant food at a great price. Not seen quality like this a lot in London. To top it all off: Laura, the person serving us did great efforts to make sure our experience was amazing. After observing her, we saw she was able to do this at every table. Very capable at her job. This was a very pleasurable experience.
Fantastic food, probably the best pub food I have ever had ! Was warm, vibrant and busy with festive party's. Service was fair considering it was busy. Will definitely return, highly recommend

During the night it's a busy and quite noisy place good for a quick meal and a drink but not a place to hang out and chat. On the mornings on the other hand they serve excellent brunch, serve great coffee and the service is quick and friendly. So my rating is a mix of 5/5 for brunch and 3/5 for eating in at night.
Excellent food, very good staff. Thank you for the hospitality from the head chef Kamil has he explained the allergens and also the Bogdan for the service.

Lovely bar but the bouncer was a prick. I ordered my last drink at 11:01, the lights abruptly came on as they rang the bell at quarter past with no warning of last orders and the bouncer shouted at us at half past to kick us out. Just a bit unnecessary really

A most delightful place. The girls and boys behind the bar make this place. They are great! Love the post industrial shabby chic. Beer is great and there is plenty more on offer. Right next to Waterloo station, so no excuses for not paying a visit. A genuinely lovely pub, give it a go.
Very friendly servers, nice ambient and good food, eventhough it was delayed (servers were very kind about it :) ) Would 100% recommend the place! Reservation for busy hours (5-7 p.m.) is smart.

I went here twice while in London. Really fun foods and drinks. The first time was super crowded and the seating was awkward, but the food made up for it! The second time was much easier to sit. It's just about being mindful of when you go in a big city. I recommend this place!
Decent food and drinks. It was very busy so we were fortunate enough to have booked a table to have lunch here and sit for a couple of hours with some drinks. The rugby was on so it became quite loud and resembled a sports bar at times, however staff were attentive and friendly
Friday night, not busy at all. Couldn't get served though, bar staff appear to be easily confused and distracted. Went to a posh bar called Auberge nearby and had a drink in my hand about 60 seconds after walking in (shrug)

Former firehouse turned restaurant near the Waterloo station. I expected more memorabilia, but the "Dirty Bird" is an amazing fried chicken sandwich. The watermelon rum drink not so much. Chill after work crowd most of whom just came in for a pint or glass of wine.
This place is 5 star outstanding - Alex Walters service is best I’ve seen in long long time ! Totally amazing ! A must visit ! Ask for Alex he should be promoted or rewarded for his outstanding service skills !

Good breakfast, the marmite hollandaise sauce on the ‘Bacon and eggs’ was experimental but it worked! Coffee is strong and fruity, device was good and the ambience is nice and relaxing. Nice and clean, very welcoming. It was surprisingly busy for a Friday morning.
Great pub - really trendy and buzzing. I had the maple bacon burger and it was cooked to perfection. Pizza was decent - super thin crust, like a cracker. I’d definitely go back again and try the various burgers. Don’t bother with the Mac and cheese - not so great.
A good place that's very underrated in terms of location, food and drink and service. It's also a great place for meetings during the day. Will definitely recommend and revisit..

We enjoyed a couple of after dinner drinks here last week. Unfortunately my bag was stolen from my table, but Ualid the manager, and Nathan on the bar were really helpful in getting everything sorted and helping me work out what had happened. Stay safe folks!

Great place. No idea why someone would want it demolished. It holds the spirig of the fire station from the past, so is different to a tradigional pub, a cafe or a restaurant. Great for larger companies as it has large tables and benches. Drinks are fine.
