Honest Review: I was fairly disappointed of my experience here to say the least. On my arrival, with guests (approximately at 10.22pm 23/07/22), I asked the hijabi sister weather we could eat in. Her response I found to be disrespectful and discourteous - she started giggling with one other male colleague and stared at us blank for 20 seconds. Until my guest said “do you not want us here?”, with her finally responding “ok, just don’t take 10 minutes to order”. Then it came to ordering, we had to go to the kitchen in need of a staff member to take our order, only to find 4 of them chit chatting. During our order at the till, the same sister was screaming down the restaurant asking if particular items were available. The entire experience, from entering to leaving, felt like a secondary school lunch experience. The food was mediocre. There was inconsistency with the size of the chicken fillet In the burgers - one was of standard size and the other was half the burger bun. Each meal came separately, the last meal came 10 minutes later and the starter arrived last, so much so the couple behind us, who ordered after us, received all there food and extras before us. Overall, I can’t possibly recommend anybody else dining here with the experience that we had. I feel the staff members were acting out of place and ill-mannered purely because no management were in the vicinity. Furthermore, the food wasn’t upto scratch: the chicken breast was overcooked, buns stale, “pigeon” wings, warm beverages, the lamb wrap had a kid size portion meat in it- I could only recommend the steak fries. I hope management find this and action the points I mentioned. I gain nothing from leaving this review, only the hopes that nobody else experiences what we had to go through.

@fiveladsuk @fiveladsgoodmayes Last weekend, we popped over with the kids to Five Lads for lunch. When I used to go to my younger sister’s house, we used to ALWAYS order their food without fail. This was our first experience of dining in. If you want good food that is value for money for the entire family, this is one of the places to visit! : 4 We visited the Goodmayes Branch and received a very warm welcome. The food came out promptly! The Five Lad’s Special came with: 4 Wings, 1/2 Chicken, Chicken Leg Burger, Gourmet Beef Burger, two sides and a large drink for only £29.99! I haven’t had their food for a while and I genuinely forgot how much I LOVE their chicken and chicken wings. They’re so succulent and every bite is infused with intense flavours (I chose extra hot). The Chicken Leg burger was juicy and very tasty! The Milkcakes were splendid! I could have eaten another 2, they’re so light/airy and exactly how milkcakes should be. Overall, a great family friendly place to add to your list!

Really disappointed, first time trying the food, will not go back. I ordered the food around 8.20PM was supposed to arrive at 9PM. Called them at 9.30 after line was busy they said give it another 15, 9.50PM I called they said they are waiting for the delivery driver. They shouldnt have lied and said another 15 mins coz there was no driver (paid for delivery). The food was ready. 10PM we go to collect the food. They should have said earlier that the driver was not available as I was fasting waiting for the food. Had to collect the food myself as I couldn't wait any longer was already 10PM. AND I was so disappointed, the burger was cold, was not even grilled properly and was dry, the 1/2 chicken order was leaking in the bag, the chips were cold, upset I had spent £40 on food that was not even worth that price. And unfortunately was so bad I couldn't even finish it. Will never order from here again.

My family loves the food from Fivelads, we used to eat meals from then once in an month since visiting Leyton branch in 2016, all of the food is tasty and freshly made. Staff is always friendly and welcoming. Their service is on top. Currently, their increased prices has made us cut down to twice in 7-8 months. I would love to see if they can add Lebanese style shawarma in their menus too. So needs a bit of synergy. Overall still our favourite food.

Ordered Five Lads since lockdown on UberEats and become a favourite for me and my dad, almost a weekly occurrence. Randomly popped in store for the first time and had a great experience, two girls at the front were polite and courteous, making suggestions in what to order and what was nice, without that sleazy feeling of being upsold. We also had an appearance from the main cook who gave us 5 complimentary wings as we made a mistake not ordering a platter and instead ordering items separately, he wanted to make sure we got our value! All food was freshly cooked and tasty, portion sizes are always generous and both me and my partner left with full bellies. 5/5. Couldn't ask for more, thanks!

Just ordered from here for the first time, was extremely impressed with the quality and flavour of my meal (loaded box). The chicken tasted fresh and was hot, the fries were crispy and not greasy, the food was delivered quickly and packaged very nicely. Felt like a much healthier meal than some of the overly processed and fried stuff you’d expect from a takeaway. Great prices also. Overall, I a fantastic experience and really enjoyed my food! Thank you. I’ll definitely be returning in future (love the name of this restaurant too lol)

I ordered a beef burger which tasted very bland- no salt or pepper or even cheese. Tried adding loads of sauces but still was very bland. My 4 Yr olds kids meal had more flavour than my beef burger. Visited on 27.05.23 @ 21:00 - reason for the exact date and time: so the owners can identify staff working at this time. They are VERY UNPROFESSIONAL - especially the young man preparing the food (not the chef). Constantly chatting to his female colleagues very loudly, signing, laughing, mocking previous customers, etc. No customer service awareness at all. Even my 14 year made a comment of how unprofessional this particular group of staff were - as this is not the first time we have been here. Owners need to speak to staff and ensure they portray as professional image of their brand. Big difference between this and Leyton branch. In the end I had to go over and have a word... so bad!!!!

MY WIFE COULD NEVER COOK THIS GOOD. This place by far has to be the best grill in town. I’ve ordered takeaways and have dined in the shop many times, and have always found that the food is fresh, well priced and delicious. Make sure to order a milkshake when you go, better than the local dessert spots around! They typically have good promotions through different channels, like Uber eats and when I dine in, it’s always super clean and a lovely place to dine in with the family. The service is exceptional! I would definitely recommend this place if you’ve not tried it yet!

We arrived quite late on Sunday evening, about twenty of us and Five Lads easily managed to accommodated for us. I got myself a "Half boneless chicken" with the Lemon & Herb seasoning accompanied with a corn on the cob & a drink. The chicken was so tender and full of flavour. The corn on the cob was also well done and buttery. Staff here are super friendly, always willing to help and suggesting things to try on the menu. The food at Five Lads is Halal certified. I popped into this cosy little restaurant and I am so glad to have made the discovery of how beautiful their food is. Their burgers, particularly their smash burger, are honestly out of this world. A joke of a place, ordered food through uber. The bag which had the lamb chops was incorrectly packaged. Which leaked through the bag onto my carpet. Absolute joke, the staff didn't admit their mistake but blamed the driver. Missed some of my order, burnt my food last time. Ruined my food and didn't have the cheek to replace it. Their policy replacing bags if ripped before sending out food for delivery is a complete lie. Both bags given was ripped and not checked. Never ordering from this place again.

I have visited this place a few times now. The pricing of the food is decent and the interior is clean. They have friendly staffs and even though the inside doesn’t have many seatings there’s usually space to sit down without waiting. One downside would be that they don’t have a range of sauces. I usually order the chicken burger and wings, in either lemon and herb or medium marinade, as there hot marinade is very hot!

Good meal deals here and an all rounder for quick gatherings. Food is what you would expect from a peri peri and burger joint. I did find their peri rice to be well below standard, rice was hard and didn't taste great at all (recommend sticking to fries) I do find that charging 50p for peri salt is a bit cheeky where most fried chicken places add it for free!

One job they had, even though I call the restaurant and they said they put everything , the circled burger was missing. I'm surprised exactly that one was missing. Also they messed up the rest, cheese was missing in some meals. Because the paper on their side say so, it doesn't mean everything is there! I'm sure the burger was somewhere around the kitchen. I guess it cost them more admitting they messed up...

Just popped in here for lunch before going to my next site. I was recommended the new smashed burger with turkey bacon. Absolutely banging! The patties were nice and thin making it super tasty and well cooked. Will be coming here again. Great value for the quality. Well done lads!

Place is not huge for big a party max group probably 16 food is good nothing that stands out but deff not bad. Price is just right matching service and quality. Staff and customer service were pleasant. Ordered the 15 wings platter and about 5 wings were under cooked which didn't taste nice. The lamb chops were over cooked and lost it's moisture and tenderness. The only decent food was my child's food. Might visit again but not anytime soon.

Arrive and order 5 hours before you actually want to eat. The time is takes for your food to reach your table is shocking.
