My neighbor got locked out of his apartment, he left his keys inside by mistake, he is an old guy, can you blame him. We called up these guys, and they charged him $285 for simply drilling 2 holes and then turning the cylinder with a pair of pliers. The guy on the phone at first wouldn't tell me a price saying the technician will, but after I call back asking why they charged so much, he states that it's a "power tools" charge. They asked for even more money to replace the lock because it's an old style door/system... I am not sure how other reviewers on here who have also been locked out of their apartment or houses claim the prices were reasonable having their locks/cylinders changed or new keys provided. I don't usually leave reviews but I am so disgusted by the service these guys provided taking advantage of an old person on top of leaving a door unsecured, that I have to let others know before calling them up. My recommendation to anyone else looking for these kinds of services, try any other locksmith other than this one. $285 charge only to drill 2 holes, nothing else was done. (pictures provided below). Absolutely disgusting and unprofessional.

Technician was two hours late and there was no transparency on pricing. Charged me $300 to replace simple mortise cylinder, way above any other quotes I got from local locksmiths. (Cylinder kit costs about $20 at the local hardware store.) I called back the same technician after the fact for a quote on the same services and he said it would be $95-$150. I finally got in touch with manager, who assured me dispatcher would call back to partially refund. Never got a call back. Save your money, go somewhere else for lock changes, or change cylinder yourself.

Awful. I called during normal business hours about getting a new very simple lock installed. I asked if they charged for initial assessment and they said they only charge for work completed once they check with the boss about pricing. They told me one they got here that its $125 for just coming to look! On top of that it cost $175 for the 5 minutes of work they did. In retrospect I should have just figured out how to do myself. Beware, these are gougers...look elsewhere.

Complete rip off $190 to change locks on an outside gate?? Then when I decided not to through with it. The technician who came out said it $20 dollars because he came all the way out here what kind of nonsense is that?? I gave him it but never again will reach to them again. Inform customers over the phone!!..We are in tough times don't take advantage.

Flatbush Locksmith & Security Systems responded quickly to our call and got right to work. Despite challenges with the changing measurements, he changed four old-fashioned locks in a single morning. A truly well-done task that was performed adequately, as well as a very courteous guy.

They were an hour late but called to let us know and apologize, and they still showed up within two hours of the call (it was a non-emergency lock change). did an excellent job, even realigning our stuck locks, which had been a problem for years. Very good service that is also nice.

I'm partially to blame as I went along with things and got completely taken advantage of. I paid way to much! He didn't do the job right the first time around and was an hour late the next day to fix his simple mistake (the door didn't actually lock). Would not recommend.

Ok, here's the deal. I read about 'Flatbush Locksmith & Security Systems', on Yelp of course, and gave a call, spoke w/Eric I believe. Had a problem with the apartment door lock fixed it and charged me $80 and gave me a warranty.

Techenician On a Sunday morning, they arrived readily and immediately, with no callout fee. The problem of the UPVC front door not closing and opening was diagnosed and resolved. Charged the previously mentioned amount.

A very friendly and experienced gentleman who arrived promptly late on a Friday afternoon. He quickly resolved the issue and is really polite and sincere! I have no hesitation in recommending him. Excellent work!
