My 1st visit was for Valentine's day and was Absolute *PERFECTION *.The first visit, from start to end it was the most friendly ,polite, professional service from reception , to the treatment room.We felt special from the time we entered the hotel on a Red Carpet , then welcome drinks in foyer before we were promptly led to our treatment room. The ambience was set with dim lighting and candles etc in foyer of the spa. The treatment rooms were prepped with everything we requested to make a perfect 1st impression when entering. The room had a shower and toilet in it , and you change In the same room so the privacy is great. No need for changing in 1 place and leaving your belongings then migrating like other spas. The massages were well worth it, full body massage from the head and face to the tips of our fingers and toes! Very calming music again adding to the serenity. We could not wait to return for every other special occasion that was next. I felt a new tradition in the making your staff were wonderful the first visit and your service was great. Loved every single moment of the experience. Went back for my birthday it was once again beautifully set up, adding the candles and petals are so worth it and really does make a diffence. Because this room had a tub In, there wasn't a shower and toilet, but there was a toilet accross the hall which was close by. I had back aches and the spa was the perfect idea as a gift.

I initially gave this spa 1 star due to a below average pedicure and an eye treatment that didn't work. I was promptly contacted by the spa and offered a refund for the eye treatment due to the fact that you need to have 8 treatments to see a result. This is not specified on the website. I was also offered a redo of the pedicure at my convenience. I was then asked to remove my review if i had it in my heart to do so. I removed the review. After thinking about all of this I feel it's only fair to let customers know that it's not worth putting your money into adding an eye treatment to your facial unless you are going to go back 8 times and if you are going for a pedicure and callous treatment please check that your heels are smooth before you leave. The staff are friendly enough at the spa and they treat you well, but I think they need more training. I had to explain which treatment I was there for and was still unsure if I received the correct treatment. Nice for a day out and some pamper time but don't expect the treatments to actually work. Only reason for the 3 stars is because the place has potential.

An absolute delight! I spent my 22nd birthday here and it was worth every minute. Upon arrival we were offered complimentary tea/coffee. We were then escorted to our room by their extremely friendly and welcoming staff, we were mesmerized by the rose petals decorated room. Tranquil, relaxing and romantic! The massages itself were exceptional. Our masseuses continually checked up on whether the pressure applied was fine, that we were comfortable and if the room temperature was still to our liking. We were treated to the 2 hour massage package consisting of the wallnut back scrub, full body massage, head and neck, feet and hot stone therapy. Throughout our massage our beds were heated and our legs even elevated for comfort. After the most sensational and revitalizing massage a hot tub with bubbles, rose petals and complimentary bubbly was set up for us!! What an exceptional experience. Can't wait to revisit!

Very disappointed with the service we received. Our appointment was for 19h15. 19h20 still waiting at reception for attention. Also no communication from the booking clerk to therapist with regards to the Spa Special that I booked. Had to ask for assistance.Taken to the room. Sub standard, hotel room (as opposed to spa room) with the headboard and pedestals still attached to the wall. Very small and cramped. Carpet needed to be vacuumed. Unhygienic to say the least. 0 for ambience. Therapy was mediocre, however the therapists covered up with their professionalism. Very different from the last time I went, that was 5 star and different premises. They need to up their game for me to go there again.

Despite a very unpleasant experience at the Musgrave coastlands branch, we were impressed at how the owner had handled this after I had brought to her attention. She was very apologetic and assured us that there was measures in place so as to avoid this from occurring to her other customers. She proceeded to refund us and also gave us products for the injuries sustained by her staff. Thank you so much Alvina for meeting us and also for your efforts in reassuring us that this would never occur to any other customer and further for restoring our faith in busting your spa again.

This is my go-to spa for my facial treatments and would definitely recommend Fluer de lis (musgrave). Their service/treatments has been consistent, I've tried many salons in Durban and in my opinion consistency and value for money determines whether people become regulars or not. The staff are friendly and professional, I've been able to make bookings via email, which I find very convenient. There are some upgrades taking place in the parking lot but I've never had a problem finding parking. All in all they are worth the 5 stars.

BEST SPA TREATMENT EVA on the 24th of June my girl friend and I visited the Fleur De Lis Spa it was our 1 year anniversary we booked a half day spa treatment on arrival we had welcome drinks and friendly smiles from all the stuff members which made us feel so welcomed. thereafter we was taken to our room which had a very romantic feel to it .my girlfriend was absolutely amazed and loved every minute of it .I would like to thank the Spa Durban team for making this day a special one for us and one to remember for ever !!!!

my sister and I visited the spa on the 19/8/14. I was absolutely impressed by the exceptional service from the time we made our booking till the day of our appointment. friendly service by the receptionist and staff , the massages were out of this world(I actually fell asleep). what completed the treatment blew me away , my sister was actually given gift as a present and I must say I would recommend this spa to everyone , especially if its your birthday :) and yes I too am a therapist that's why I was so wowed.

I went for a full body massage on Saturday and wow amazing as always. Staff is very friendly and welcoming, the facilities look great, soothing music in the back ground. I appreciate the pre warmed bed, ahh so relaxing. Sithabile did my massage and I must say it was probably the best I have had. She knew exactly what she was doing, I came in with body pains and I left feeling relaxed and lighter. I must say this Musgrave branch always delivers excellence, I’m coming back for another treatment soon

Absolutely amazing value for money!!! My wife and I booked a couple's package for a last minute birthday treat and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. We were served hot drinks on arrival (waited for 15 minutes but they made it worth it) and were spoilt with an amazing treatment. The massage was heavenly and our therapists were very friendly. We were also served tea and pastries mid treatment and were spoilt with a special birthday cake treat at the end. Definitely returning soon!

Had an amazingly relaxing and rejuvenating spa and massage experience at the Musgrave Fleur De Lis Spa @ Coastlands . All the staff seemed very friendly and courteous , welcoming was pleasant . The therapist knew what they were doing, very knowledgeable about massage techniques and client service experience, well spoken and attentive. A job well done by the therapist Landiwe Cele and Cleo Gaza not forgetting the lady that made it all possible Alvina Naidoo.

The message was great, very affordable for 4 people and very relaxing, we did have to wait an hour for other people to finish their massage even though we had ours booked. We didn't have to sign any forms questioning us about pervious injures or allergies that you would normally find at these establishments. So do beware to let them know before hand if you have any of these issues. Thankfully we didn't. Overall a good experience. Would probably go back again.

Booked the Sunday Destress for my Mom. She had the treatment on a Friday. In the week leading up to the appointment I had to make several calls to make and amend the booking. Every time I called, the reception was friendly and warm. My mom enjoyed the treatment and the extra treat of cake and tea at the end. She appreciated the thoroughness of the therapist. Earlier reviews of construction noise is no longer a problem. Would recommend.

Amazing..wow...the ladies are fabulous and very caring and accommodating. They are absolutely awesome. Great spa experience from Vuyi and Wendy at Coastlands Hotel. Very friendly and attentive staff. Rooms were comfortable and well designed. The one gripe we had was that we weren't advised that there would be a group of kids in the spa as well. We paid for a relaxing, quiet day only to be disturbed by this group of excitable girls. An apology would go a long way. All in all, would come back just for Vuyi and Wendy.

Had a fantastic "girls day " ..super cheap rates but excellent service for the price. They are able to fit up to 3 in a room for friend groups, however the therapist seem to lack the ability to work noiselessly and at one point after a full body massage switches on the bright lights without any warning which was quite annoying . Otherwise everyone is friendly and the place is neat and clean. Super value for money!

The dirtiest spa ever. In hotel rooms where bedside tables have not even been removed from the walls. Towel on massage table was dirty had to ask them to replace it. Look at dirt on the heated blanket where your face will go on the photo included. The yellow that you see is the dirt on a white heated blanket. No spa music in fact you listened to a vacuum cleaner. This place should be avoided. Disgustingly dirty.

I love Spa Durban! They have a great location really close to the Gateway Mall, and my massages are always super relaxing with great therapists. It isn't the most upscale spa in the world, but it is very nice and cozy and the value for the money is fantastic. They have very affordable packages and amazing couples packages. My husband and I come here every time we are in Durban and have never been disappointed!

First time visiting this specific spa and noticed that all the bed towels in the treatment room were not changed. Would not have realized this had I not switched on the lights prior to the treatment. Highly unhygienic thus creating a highly unpleasant experience. Only after informing the therapist were the towels changed. Personal hygiene is expected to be held to the highest standard in this line of work.

Massage therapy was great. However had to request for music, as there was zero ambience. Staff then brought in a portable speaker, put it too loud - after a while we then found a comfortable volume. The therapists also do not adhere to the full 2 hour treatment time, they started late and finished 15 mins earlier. Regardless the therapist Precious and team (x2) at Musgrave branch were incredible.

Definitely value for money, the experience was luxurious, the therapists were wonderful and well informed. The only down side was having to do the 1 of the treatments (manicure)in the passage area due to the spa being busy which I understand but the hotel needs to afford more space to the spa it's a place of tranquility and every treatment should leave one feeling exactly that.

Been here twice. Affordable packages and professional staff. First spa treatment was in October with Natalie who was extremely professional with excellent bedside etiquette. Second spa treatment was today with Lindie who was good. Only factor preventing 5 stars was the fact that the bed table was dirty and the towels were damp. Overall, excellent experience and value for money.

Was a great place for a massage. I only remove a star- because I appreciate the owner knowing that staff should be speaking English when treating clients. Even if English is not their first language. I do not speak other African languages and being in the room not knowing what they were saying around me to other people was a bit awkward for me… but I would definitely go back.

Oh, this was an experience to remember. They give you one attendant and she does everything. I had a massage, facial, ped, foot scrub. You'll have a private room to yourself with a shower (bring soap) and everything is catered to your needs. My experience was a little thrown off because there was construction going on and it disturbed me. The prices are good too.

Had 5 star treatment done by Ntombi today. It was amazing. Firstly the place is clean tidy modern relaxing ambience and Ntombi professional, applied right pressure during massage making sure I was comfortable with it. I left feeling gooooooooood!!!! The only thing I'd say is always double check your price before starting. Otherwise I'm definitely going back.

I have been to a few places for massages but this is by far the best that I have experienced. My therapist's name was Lungi, her hands were so amazing I could barely tell the difference between the hot stones and her hands. Possibly one of the best spa experiences of my life. We were greeted with smiles, went through Covid questions and had our temperature checked. This place never disappoints. I have been to most of their various branches and the standard appears consistent. Staff are courteous, friendly and very professional. Lovely relaxing atmosphere. Overall, a good experience and good value for the specials. However some areas to improve : Inconsistency between therapists, some excellent some not so good. You should consider sorting out validation for parking. Time taken for therapists to get things organised between treatments, eats into treatment time.

If you want to be wowed this is the place. Service is very good. Very clean. And staff is so pleasant. They give awesome massages and if u going as a couple they have very romantic options and settings in a room. . If u going out after they have options where u could shower as well. The most efficient friendly informative staff! I had such an excellent therapist Priscilla, had a mani/pedi and a brightening mask for hands n feet, just found having a pedi on the bed uncomfortable, hopefully in future it could be done sitting on a chair, definitely be going back for other treatments

My daughter and I had a joint treatment. This was an awesome spa for her first. The staff were awesome and my daughter loved it. Only one complaint was that the towel to put your face on when doing the massage was dirty and used. But it was quickly rectified and the treatment was wonderful.

The worst massage I have ever had. Staff is very unprofessional in their manner and when speaking to clients The lady did not know basic massage techniques and kept pushing on bony prominences. Also witnessed her playing on her phone while massaging my feet. Will never go back

I chose the 2 hour spa deal and when it came to the last treatment, it was really rushed and not done properly at all especially when there was so much time taken in between treatments where we were just waiting for the spa therapist. It was disappointing.
