Recently went here to buy 2 bed frames and 2 mattresses. The staff who served us "Ann" was very lovely to us from start to finish, she tried her best to resolve the issues we were facing with delivery in a very well manner. The delivery service here is shocking, it is a total scam as we were told $150 will cover delivery + upstairs + assembly service but the delivery guys refused to bring the bed heads and mattresses up for us, saying " it wont fit" without even trying, I came and helped them push and the bed heads went up straight away. One of the guys was standing there pointing fingers without helping his driver colleague like he was trying to avoid his duty. He spoke too soon and had no determination to do his job. He then convinced us to have the mattresses returned and get a full refund so we can buy different mattresses. Then after they took our mattresses away we didn't hear from the store for afew days, so we kept calling to ask for our refund back and we were told they were going to take 20% off our refund of the 2 mattresses which is $320. I was really frustrated as we were not told this over the phone earlier. Long story short we made a complaint and had a second delivery to redeliver our mattresses and there were 2 different delivery guys. The driver stated " this will not go upstairs... I've been doing this for 7 years I would know if it will fit or not...you will need to call a carpenter to remove your hand rail for the mattresses to go up..." On this same day my sister and I both carried the 2 mattresses upstairs by ourselves without any troubles. We have taken photos as proof to show that it can be done. When I called to follow up about our mattresses, a staff instore was very rude named "Josie". She did not believe what we were saying to her and yet she was arguing back and talking over us. Accusing us as being at fault and forcing us to pay $150 for a second delivery. She has turned our very positive experience with FocusOn furniture with Ann into a very negative experience. Josie had no manners nor common courtesy for her customers. I don't recommend buyers to come here to shop, avoid this store at all cost! But if you had to buy something from here then avoid Josie and go to Ann for assistance instead.
I had worst experience on today on essendon branch. I ordered dinning table, chairs and another few furniture and some body from shop rang me one before last week to arrange delivery. Also he told me if im not get delivered by next week they are going to change me $40 per week as holding charges. But my house is still under construction because of covid builder can find the material s. I bought this furniture for my new house. Any way because they going to change $40 per week as holding charges i arrange delivery for my friend's house on last Thursday. But the didn't delivered. At least as a courtesy they didn't inform me saying they are not going to deliver. I took my day off and im waiting for delivery. Than i rang them and i asked for delivery then they told me still stock is not ready to deliver. I don't know than why they keep me rang to deliver without stock and giving me the pressure. So i went to essendon store today morning and i asked from the staff reguarding the issues. Then they told me again it's ready to deliver. I said I already arrange delivery but you guys didn't do. Because my friend going holiday for three weeks i can't find another place. If the delivered at that time their should not be a problem like that. Then i asked for deliver after 3 weeks because of my friends gone for holding and that didn't delivered first time as they promised. Staff are very unprofessional and the talk to me higher tone. Also they mentioned im going to loose my money too. I paid in full amount. Anyway I'm going to arrange delivery with in another 3 weeks. But i highly recommended not to go for this shop again because of unprofessional staff and changing their mind as their wish. They don't think about their customers. But i been different furniture shop such as koala living. Harvey Norman and bed and dreams. Thay are Verry professional and friendly. This is the last time Im going to buy furniture from focus on furniture. I had a very bad experience today. If anyone goes to this shop again just have a think twice before you go
DO NOT BUY FROM FOCUS ON FURNITURE!!!! We went in to look at Furniture for our new house. We explained our situation and that we didn’t know when our house would be ready. We were assured we could place an order and it wouldn’t be an issue that they would hold our items until we were ready. Then a month lasted they started calling us every week to book delivery in. After several fights with the staff they agreed to hold our order until the end of Jan. We agreed to pay storage as our house still wasn’t finished but they then told us that was not their preferred option. So we have had to rent a storage locker to store the furniture until our house is ready or we would have lost our 20% deposit. The whole experience has been an added layer of stress and nuisance when we were clear and upfront from the start. The staff have also continued to blame us and told us that we should have done a lay buy, how do you expect your customers to know what your processes are? Shouldn’t your staff have made that recommendation. Will never shop here again. Hopefully our furniture doesn’t fall apart

We had ordered an oak table with a white top and received a oak top table .l called back and asked why that was the case and the lady who originally served us said an oak top was ordered but she remembered l asked for a white top .both my son inlaw and my son who went to pick up table said that the lady who did serve us originally was not to pleasant with them upon arrival she did tell them that they were entitled to check the product but said it is checked in the warehouse and then sent so he trusted there inspection for defect not to be a different colour.l called back and questioned why they were not to pleasant when my son inlaw had come to pick up the table and low and behold she raises her voice and becomes very defensive which caused me to be upset dissapointing to receive the wrong product and more dissapointing with the staff attitude will never shop there again
I have never received such poor service in my life. We first struggled to get a sales assistants attention even though he was just standing around. When he finally acknowledge us, he gave us very sharp closed ended responses and was not helpful. We then spoke to another sales assistant and she was so defensive and rude, she kept walking away from us even though we still had questions about the sofa. I honestly don't know what I did to receive the service she provided. We left the store after our interaction with her as I was honestly so upset with how I was treated. We went back into the store as I was still interested in the sofa, the first sales assistant was standing right next to the sofa and did not acknowledge us again. I will take my business elsewhere and I will never come back to this store.
Came in store in back in january. Had really good service from a lovely gentleman. Came in today after searching for a few months for what we wanted. Lady that served us was disgraceful. When my partner and I were deciding on a couch and were looking for the one from before she yells at us "Is that the one or not? Does it really matter?". Ah..Yes if I'm spending over $1000 On a piece of furniture that is going to sit in my house then YES it does matter. We just walked out.. went next door and ended up buying a very similar one for a higher price because the service was fantastic. People pay for service not just the product.
Purchased our Vancouver chaise couch (now called Ontario) from Focus on Furniture Essendon in 2018. It has moved 3 houses already and into another one soon! Has definitely defied the test of time! The guys from Focus on Furniture Essendon were very helpful and knowledgeable. Made our couch purchasing experience a great and smooth one. Hence, early this month, we ordered another couch and a new bed from them for our new home☺️☺️☺️ Couldn’t be happier! I highly recommend Focus on Furniture for your home furnitures!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Came here to buy a bed for my daughter. the first lady to assist us was sidetracked from another customer and walked off from us. Whilst we were waiting for assistance, we saw the 'manager' talk to the same lady to tell my daughter to get off a bed. She came over walked up to my 2 year old to get her off a bed we wanted to buy. I had to call her back just to get assistance. The service here is disgusting, I would not recommend shopping here at all.
Went to the store to get some furniture for our new house, but none of the staff come to serve. Store was very quiet and two ladies were sitting in the register. but looks like they couldn't be bothered to talk to a customer. I furnished my whole house with focus on furniture 10 years ago. Planed to do the same this time, considering double storey house to furnished, they lost a big sale. Good luck to the company when they have employees like this.
I’ve been to their DFO branch twice and both times my customer service experience was really bad. One of the CSO even made inappropriate comments to me and my friend, so unprofessional. I went next door to Freedom and had such a good experience. Well that’s a good way to lose customers, I bought my dining set from Freedom instead. Time for management to look into training their staff properly, grumpy faces are not appealing to customers.
Our first and probably the last time that we will be buying anything from FOF. Their after care service was shocking as we had to return a dining table three times before getting lucky the fourth time with no apology from the store. When we finally got the correct table, the delivery drivers made up for the bad experience that we faced. JD and Justin were the most polite and caring staff and need some sort recognition
Finally a company that makes quality and comfort into the same pieces! I had my price bracket and was shown a few to choose from. Great customer service from Dom They had stock, so we agreed on a delivery date. I have received a follow up call from the store.. ensuring I was happy with my selection, and got a call from driver letting me know when he arrived. And that was on time too. I will be back
Firstly received a wrong couch then received the correct one. The correct one is faulty as the leather has got dent marks on it and the company wont replace it with a new one. The worst part is they wont accept their fault either. I am gona take this matter to accc. Dont buy anything from them u will get ripped off. Once they have got your money they will make you run around.
The post-purchase service fell short of our expectations, particularly in the case of the management team. When I sought to communicate with the area manager, Tahlie, her customer service was lacking. On a positive note, the delivery drivers were outstanding to work with, and despite an error in judgment, the sales representative remained pleasant to interact with.
Disgusting service and attitude from a “gentlemen” (if you could call him that) named Dom If you hate customer service so much, please stop working in it. Attitude, rude and just outright aggressive I encourage you to shop elsewhere throughout DFO where there are actually people who value not only you but your purchased product
Would not recommend the Abbotsford lounge. Feathers always coming through the material, the material is pilling after only 4 months and despite rotating the cushions it’s very lumpy and uncomfortable. We expressed concern that the material may do this but the sales assistant assured us it was very high quality. Oh well…
The staff were friendly but gave you space. The store is clean and inviting as well as easy to navigate. Our new dining table is the perfect addition to our living area and fits so well. I would highly recommend Focus On Furniture Essendon. We couldn’t help ourselves after buying our couch there less than 6 months ago.
Great store set-up and good options. Unfortunately customer service on 30/06/23 was non-existent. We walked around looking for assistance whilst staff tried to avoid eye contact. It was an hour from closing so perhaps they did not want to risk staying back organising a sale. Great for them, terrible for the business.
Love their designs however, after receiving a faulty product over 10 months ago I've had nothing but bad experiences with their customer support. After emailing, contacting the store directly and their main service, I am struggling to have someone response to my enquiries. Wouldn't recommend or return myself.

Recently purchased furniture from Focus. Our sales person was Ann and she was great. All the staff we have dealt with have fantastic. The delivery guys Adam and Mo were very helpful and very professional. Would definitely purchase from this store again

Previously shopped at another store and was pleasantly surprised to be helped by the same attendant Tegan. Very approachable and took my decor ideas seriously. Her jokes helped to take the stress out of planning for a new home.
They charged me for delivery for whole sofa set, ended up delivering just 1 piece and other 2 pieces i had to pick up. Staff is too rude very unprofessional specially the guy name dominic. plz make sure you don’t get scammed
Mum bought a lounge suite from here, Josie was very good in assisting, and allowing time for mum to decide on which suite she was happy with. Delivered 2 days later, delivery guys were good, put the furniture together.
Lucky to get 1 star. I would stay away there quality of furniture is appalling. Then when you try to claim with warranty they just use the excuse mistreatment!! STAY CLEAR there staff also need an attitude check!
