Although the service was average on the particular day of my purchase at your branch at Century City, I still liked your store in general. However, I have a concern with one of your major footwear brands namely UrbanArt. To start off with, I got in touch with Robbie Stoller from UrbanArt footwear who totally brushed off my concerns about the lace loops being too sharp on my Ranga Nub 1 boots. I have all correspondence and it's totally clear that a footwear brand of this size does not care about a Customer's genuine concerns. With the lace loops on my boots having sharp edges, I not only have to be careful to not cut my fingertips, but my laces now does not last, and I hardly wear my boots Now, I have purchased these boots on 6 August 2019 however, I hardly wear my boots as I am in formal shoes daily due to work. And part from the lace loops issue (keeping in mind that I hardly wear my boots), I recently felt my socks feeling damp when I take my boots off after wearing. Upon investigating, I found that the innersoles in both boots are really thin, and as I lifted the innersoles to see what the cause might be, I found that there was absolutely nothing but a really thin layer (paper thin almost) underneath the innersoles, and that's it! On the outer of the boot, along the stitching around the nose of the boot, the upper is pulling apart from where the stitching is. This is super disappointing since these boots are not cheap at all. And one would expect a better quality product for the money that was spent. So taking into consideration the condition of my shoes, the fact that I dont wear it in rain AT ALL, and that I take extra care of my shoes in particular, one would expect these 'quality branded' shoes actually shows quality, which is definitely not the case here. The UrbanArt team who just passed my concerns on (and I have a few names that were copied in), seems to only be 'bucket passers' at a company that should be offering at least proper assistance to customer concerns. Instead, I was brushed off. This left a bad taste in my mouth. Now, UrbanArt continues to display only good vibes on their Facebook page, and make use of celebrities in ads and social media, but there is no platform for customers to raise concerns like mine. But I'd like more customers to be really careful when buying the rather expensive UrbanArt footwear as you might end up disappointed like myself, after spending good money on a product that should be a good product. We all want value for money, and this, this was not value for money! And the after sales service was putrid. Be aware when buying UrbanArt footwear from Footgear!

The worst customer service I have experienced in a long while. The worst was, this turned my special day out with my son into a nightmare. We walked into a relatively quiet store. Was helped quickly, I was feeling unwell and went to sit down. The sales guy helped my 8year old to fit on shoes, one pair then the second pair. The next minute he vanished. We ended up waiting for him, thinking that he went to the store room or something, 15 then 20 min passed, I send my son to look for him and he came back and told me that the guy is helping someone else. I waited a little longer, then approached another sales lady, she looked at me called someone else, the guy told her something in his native tongue and walked away, towards the door and went outside. She just stood there, looking at me, uninterested and not in a hurry to assist. I was about to explain the situation and ask her for help then I was like nope, call your manager..... He tried his best to assist. We left with one pair of shoes where we planned on buying two pairs, the shoes is a size bigger then what we wanted and i have a massive headache which still did not subside.

One word....EXCELLENT!!!! will make this footgear the one to shop at. At the tygervalley and kenilworth ones you cant hear yourself think with all their screaming and load music. The Canal Walk one is no screaming and the right volume for music. Customer service is amazing!!!! Christson (not sure how to spell his name, sorry) He provided amazing service. He was willing to help to find a size. Went to look for the size in the stock room even though the system showed they didn't have. And he went through the effort to call another store as well and to WhatsApp them because they were not answering their phone, even when I said it's not necessary he insisted and did it with a smile. At the kenilworth one when asking for assistance its always a mission for the other person and they don't really want to help and you have to beg them to check at another store. Not at Canal Walk with Christson helping you. He did it with a smile and out of his own will. Keep up the great work Canal Walk.

Took my daughter to get shoes last Saturday 14.09.19, was blown away by the service and awesome energy of the staff there. Every one of them went out of their way to please. Even offered me water or coffee whilst I waited for her to choose. Don't believe I have ever experienced better service, from any person, or store, ever. Congratulations team and congratulations to your management for the superb staff training. They actually seemed happy to help and not like they were doing us a favour, which sooo many service industry people seem to think they are. Exceptional

Staff are absolutely phenomenal. Positive, happy, helpful and entrepreneurial. A breath of fresh air to be honest When me and my son walked in the door we were offered coffee by the floor supervisor. When I asked why they go to those lengths, he explained that the store was not too busy and he likes his clients to feel welcome. This is unparalleled service in the retail environment and the service made me feel more like I was in a boutique high end store than in a big brand national retailer. Pleasantly surprised

I was shopping yesterday with my 78 year old Mum to find her suitable trainers for her biokinetics class and we were very impressed by not only the selection of shoes at FootGear but by the service.We were assisted by Matilda who couldn't do enough for us; she was friendly; professional and had loads of patience! The complimentary drink was a pleasant surprise. I highly recommend this store if you're looking for competively priced shoes and greta service.

I had a really great experience buying shoes there today. Matildah was extremely welcoming and helpful. She was able to recommend shoes, help me try them on and laced them up for me so that I could make sure they worked for me. She helped me get the right size and her product knowledge was great, all of this with a friendly personality and a smile. If you looking for some new shoes you won't be disappointed. It was a pleasure shopping there.

I bought a pair of sketches from you guys for walking in March. The people were nice but you shouldnt be pushing this shoes. The back of the insole is coming loose. Shoe looks brand new still but 5 wears in and the in sole at the back is pulling away. Please stop promoting this shoes. I would bring these back if I thought you would take it back. R800 wasted. My trust is also broken with you. Won't buy a pair of shoes by you again.

I have only been to Footgear a couple of times with my sister. I haven't bought shoes there yet but she has and at a good discounted price. The store is well stocked with good brands of shoes. The assistant at the entrance has a welcoming smile and is knowledgeable, escorting us to what we were looking for. The rest of the staff well trained and friendly. Thank you, well done and keep up the good work.

Been shopping here since they opened, always get something for the whole family. They even stock baby original Nike and adidas ✅ Matilda is basically the best sales lady ever! She will fetch you your size and recommends different styles to fit the shape of your foot Eg. I have wide size 4 feet but also slightly pronates and she recommended the Adidas cloudfoam which a so comfortable

came here at 7pm today and wanted to return my shoe, the lady asked me to go to another footgear because they cash up at 6pm! Who cashes up 2 HOURS BEFORE the store closes? That means that no customer can pay cash? So they loosing out on sales? The lady told us if we came at 5 she could have helped us, what working person can leave work at 5 on payday like this is insane

I recently dealt with Phumeza Nkozwana on two separate occasions. The first time she meticulously removed some black marks on the sole of a shoe. The second time she promised to source me a shoe from another branch. To my amazement she called me the same afternoon to say that the shoe is ready for collection. Phumeza is a pleasure to deal with and an asset for Footgear.

Good and reasonably priced outlet to buy shoes. Many of the shoes manufactured in China though so watxh out for that. Visibly lower quality and never lasted long for me when I bought those. Go for the ones made in Philippines or even Vietnam.

I was served by Armstrong today. His service was outstanding as he went the extra mile to provide me with various shoes until I found the perfect one. He needs to be commended for his commitment. I will definitely be visiting thr store again.

Quiet store, easy shopping... had the wrong shoe handed to me, went home, called in and when I got there the next day, the correct one was already at the counter ready and waiting... that was a good make up for the booboo.

Eclectic collection of shoes for a wide variety of styles with no speciality. While I was in the store I saw as many people enter as leave without finding what they were looking for.

It can be chaotic at times but they’ve got a great selection and we’ve been buying a lot of our kids shoes here over the years. Staff are usually pumped up to help which rocks.

Its not nearly as FULL as Kenilworths one , for that i give it 4 stars lol, it has enough options but not as big as Kenilworths store. Overall it was pleasant.
