I am very fortunate and have sold my property to a cash buyer with no conditions and just a 2 week settlement - amazing! Selling my own property was a rollercoaster of emotions. There were highs and lows, excitement then disappointment. I am an anxious person so found the process quite stressful but I am glad I persevered and didn't go with an agent (I did doubt myself and talked to one after a few weeks regarding him taking over the sale). I haven't sold a property before so I can't compare but I guess you would have the same hopes then being dashed when the potential buyer didn't make the offer so it's probably not that less stressful using an agent. My only regrets (these were my own choices that I wished I'd done) are not getting a floorplan & drone shots done (my property is near the beach and I think showing that proximity would have gotten a quicker sale in hindsight). Please don’t waste time and money using an RE agent. It doesn’t matter how old you are as long as you have access to a mobile phone or computer with Internet you will save a lot of money selling on your own. My neighbour and I sold with For Sale by Home Owner. My neighbour sold theirs on first inspection and saved $14.2k, I saved $16k respectively. A lot of conveyancers and RE agents will tell you that you may not be able to get the price you want. Trust me buyers are coming to buy your home and location. The basic game of negotiations isn’t rocket science either, don’t tell buyers the price you want initially as they will negotiate it down. I let buyers make offers first and allow the market to create competition with consideration of time. My neighbour and I love FOR SALE BY HOME OWNER. WE’LL NEVER USE RE AGENTA AGAIN.

This is the second house we sold using For Sale By Owner platform. Thank you guys for facilitating this. The first property I sold, brought me and my wife more than $30K comparing with the best prediction we got for a real estate agency. The second one was price wise just there. Overall with the better return and no agent commissions we ended up with at least $50K more in our pocket which for someone who works for every cent it means a lot. Thanks "For Sale By Owner" I and my wife could not be happier. PS Second house took a longer time to sell and stayed under offer for 62 days. Although it was no effort for bringing our ad back "Under Offer" I think "For Sale By Owner" should change their procedures and don't automatically move the property to "Sold" after 60 days of being "Under Contract.

They organised the photographer (same business that works for all the local real estate companies). The process of writing the ad and receiving enquiries was really straight forward and they do offer 24/7 advice with the package. My ad popped up on Realestate.com and looked fantastic, any updates were reflected promptly. My property was under contract within 2 weeks of being up.
