Chinese takeaway
"Very mixed - lovely veg spring rolls, fresh, but the sweet and sour very vinegary, and they forgot to put syrup with the dessert as was advertised"
"Serious doubts as to whether the food is actually cooked by Chinese chefs"
"Terrible customer service over the phone"
"Some portions are small, noodle was ok size and tasty, fried rice portion was a little small and meat ratio was quiet low too"
"Delicious, tasty food"
Very mixed - lovely veg spring rolls, fresh, but the sweet and sour very vinegary, and they forgot to put syrup with the dessert as was advertised. Last time there was no tofu in the tofu dish, I get the impression they take too many orders that they can deal with, and then leave bits of the meal out you have paid for. More
Serious doubts as to whether the food is actually cooked by Chinese chefs. Crispy duck had zero seasoning and was rock hard- impossible to tear with a fork. The two noodles dishes ordered were so salty they had to be thrown away. Will not be ordering again. The worst ‘Chinese’ food we’ve ever had.
Terrible customer service over the phone. Inflated prices via just eat and deliveroo the same meal I order over the phone (£7) when I speak to someone who will actually let me speak is £14 including delivery on deliveroo. I would suggest calling ahead and collecting if in the area.
Some portions are small, noodle was ok size and tasty, fried rice portion was a little small and meat ratio was quiet low too. In general foods tasty, I gave 4 stars because they don't accept card when you pick up and sesame prawn toast portions should be a little more. More
Delicious, tasty food. Well priced for the portion size. Staff and drivers inside the store were very friendly, ordered over the phone and food was ready promptly for collect in 15 minutes. Would definitely order from here again, one of the best Chinese in Barnet!! More
Chicken came raw. Called up to request a replacement be sent. Instead I got shouted at because it was supposedly impossible for the chicken to be raw. Luckily Just eat refunded me and I'll never order from here again. I don't think service could get any worse. More
Very bad service when I call them for placing a delivery they can’t speak in English. And they ask for case payment only as I was not having any cash I couldn’t order any food . I strongly recommend not to order if you don’t have any cash . More
So so service, staffs are not very interested in in store order, I ordered hot and sour soup, it tasted like a glue, far too much of cornflower to thickening the soup, the other dishes were okish, nothing special. And they don't take credit
I NEVER complaint about food but unfortunately I must say: Can't believe I wasted my hard earned money on that!! WORSE food ever. EVEN the crispy duck(basic simple Chinese dish) was AWFUL, very soggy and no taste. Salt and pepper prawn made
Very rude. I called up to make an order then she said order online. I said okay but I have a special request so can I tell you and I’ll order online then she cut me off very rudely saying you can’t just order that. I was like I’m aware I’m
Do not order from this place. We ordered a takeaway from here tonight and it has to be THE worst Chinese I have ever received. Tasteless, dry noodles, sweet and sour chicken Hong Kong style pale and tasteless, hot and sour soup tasteless,
One time on the order was old seafood that tasted off. When I requested something else for replacement chef who I presume is the owner said he’d replace it. Almost 40min I had to wait and I followed up and was told he won’t do it anymore.
I ordered thai tom yum with ho fun noodles, but i bet it was regular rice vermicelli, it was different from what i saw on internet (ho fun noodles were depicted as 1 centimeter wide and flat, like tagliatelle) and it was not as tasty as I
I ordered food for 3people and when it arrived it was hot and we also could not make out whose food is who because it was not labelled. When we were eating the food all of us had blocks of salt in the food and it was way too salty unlike
I liked the recyclable packaging. But it made the chips quite soggy. And smaller portions of the mains. The sweet and sour chicken was neither sweet nor sour and the sauce was quite clear. The chicken in the chicken balls was quite hard.
Ordered takeaway online at 6.20 and order accepted and gave a delivery time of 7.15 - 7.40, every 10mins the time updated and got later and later, tried calling to find out what was happening but no one would answer phone. Eventually the
Food was absolutely fresh, delicious and clearly prepared with love. It's my first order and will definitely be ordering again cos Fortune Cat's got the best Chinese food in Barnet. I swear I should've tried them sooner but I guess it's
I ordered the mixed sea food Pad Toi. On arrival the smell of the food was obvious of food that was not fresh! The fish smelled awful. I love seafood and believe me I can tell whether fish is fresh or not and have ordered this dish many
I don’t usually post reviews but I am so disappointed even the next day I feel I must. The delivery time changed once the order was placed to a later time acceptable maybe taking into consideration the pandemic . When the food arrived 4
If you’re thinking about eating here, I wouldn’t! One of the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had, went through just eat to get our food from here. Got a text at quarter to 8 that our food was delayed, and it took an hour and
ZERO STARS. just ordered from here as my son said the one in East Barnet was good. I had my doubts but ordered anyway. roast pork picture was clearly not crispy belly pork when it arrived and the pork was clearly re cooked, dry and not
Crazy for fortune cat. We are foodies with high standards, but We loved our meal so much. We have ordered from them on two occasions, not left disappointed, the only disappointment was the food ran out. We ordered the pork buns, satay
Had a couple good experiences with this place but wow has that changed. 1hr 20mins for the food to arrive. Ok fine. Inedible food. NOT!! Shredded beef could not eat!!! So tough. The chow mein was like a block. Chicken balls cold. Duck
I agree with a previous review about be careful what dish you order. I had to phone to complain about the Lemon Prawn I just ordered, which has left a horrific taste in my mouth - the sauce was just lemon and sugar (or sacharine so it
DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE NOT WORTH WAITING OVER AN HOUR AND A HALF FOR DELIVERY ONLY FOR THE DRIVER TO TELL ME HE WONT COME TO MY ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. After waiting for an hour I asked for an update via text on just eats and the
I ordered salt and pepper prawns with vermicelli. No doubt the food taste good but the vermicelli is just 6/7 wooden forks full filled with chunks of onions. That is so deceiving. If one doesn't like onions, they will be hungry after
Awful experience!. Really robbers!. My young son paid for an order with his friends and they have not delivered!. They are really robbers!. Disgusting!.. Taking advantage of young people who have very little money. Shame on you!!
Never have we ever tasted such inedible seafood fried rice (half the rice was undercooked and the prawns had no flavour whatsoever) and the chow mein noodles was simply unpalatable. What a disappointing experience!
First time ordering. Food was tasty, packaging was great and delivery was fast. Can’t really fault them. Hope to place more orders in the future. Hopefully customer service also lives up to expectations. More
Just had crispy duck and fried rice. Both inedible. The duck was undercooked full of fat and not even a tiny bit crispy. The rice was hard and tasteless. Won’t order from here again. Very dissatisfied More
Always a pleasure to eat here very busy place very fresh food very authentic not too expensive but if you want to eat good Chinese then you’re not gonna go wrong here because it really is very good. More
Never had a bad service from them, if I have to order food it's from them ♥️ 1000% would recommend. I ordered chicken fried rice and chinese BBQ roast of chicken with Chow mein side. Delicious ♥️ More
Thank you very much! The food is delicious and it is a great amount/portions and value for money. I love the type of mushroom they use, not button mushroom types what you can find anywhere. :)
Food OK but I wish you label food as we regularly do big orders and the prawn/chicken dumplings get muddled and people have allergies! Same with veggie and meat options! It's not that hard.
Ordered by delivery- driest sweet and sour chicken I've had. Was so hard I couldn't actually eat it. It tasted like it was a day old. Portions are big though but wasn't good food. More
I stumbled on this place as my son gave me some salt & pepper wings. Absolutely delicious! Now they have replaced our regular Chinese takeaway. Would highly recommend! More
Do not order from here. Everything was over-cooked, over-salted and, in some cases, inedible. Wonton soup was bland, with congealed noodles and grit-filled wontons that I
Vile! Ordered last week and the sauce was gloopy and the chicken was just cheap cuts and thick pieces of skin. The whole thing went in the bin. Won't be ordering again
I ordered a vegetarian meal and mixed with the black bean sauce were pieces of pork. That shows not just the incredible mess they must have in the kitchen but how
Always amazing quality food, and speedy delivery! Each dish comes in its own bowl and great selection of vegetarian options. Can’t fault. Highly recommend!! More
Roast duck and roast pork are too saucy. They are supposed to be dry roasted bbq. The sauce is too salty. Char siu bun is ok. Deep fried bun is average.
TL:DR = Awesome selective dishes but some were disappointing. Generous portion size and great value. They also sell my favourite brand of Milk Tea <3
Nice lady who answered the phone and served me at the counter. Nice fresh food everybody enjoyed their meals. I would recommend this place
I am so confused by the reviews here, I’ve been having takeaway from Fortune Cat for the last two years and 99% the food is outstanding.
This is what i got as teriyaki salmon. This is boiled salmon w sauce added as an afterthought. It looks disgusting and couldn't eat it.
One of my favourite places to get a takeout from on a friday night. my favourite is lamb spare ribs, chips with bbq sauce.
Was a cold and lazy night last night for Cooking so decided to get Fortune Cat. Chicken ball Beef stew with Hofun
My husband and I just ordered Chow mein and crispy shredded beef with egg fried rice.
Delicious food, I had duck noddle. They give you big portion.
