"The statue represents Zambia's struggle for independence from the colonial masters"
"Found the statue a little disappointing"
"Reminds the people of Zambia of the freedom fighters and what great efforts they put into attaining the independent stature the country holds"
"It is along independence avenue and outside the Government complex building"
"The Freedom Statue, around the corner from the Lusaka National Museum, is dedicated to freedom fighters and those who lost their lives in the struggle for Zambia’s independence"
The statue represents Zambia's struggle for independence from the colonial masters. It's right in front of the Govt complex, a building that houses most government ministeries. The statue dipicts a man who was told to break free from the chains at gun point, failure to which he would be shot dead.
Found the statue a little disappointing. Apart from the fact that it is not really accessible, there is no real explanation of what it is about. The significance is consequently lost on people that don't already know its origin. Everything seems to be run down a little, and could need some TLC.
Reminds the people of Zambia of the freedom fighters and what great efforts they put into attaining the independent stature the country holds. This is represented by the strong man who breaks loose of the chains that bound him. By doing so,
It is along independence avenue and outside the Government complex building. It is an important historical statue for Zambia which is a true reflection of what happened shortly before Zambia got her independence. The statue is the true

It always reminds me of how we got our independence from colonial, how one man made an impact to the fight such that the white man gave up his rule upon seeing the black man break the chains of bondage at gun point.
The statue is in a small park just outside the National Museum. The statue itself is quite impressive and in combination with the museum I think makes a worthwhile way to spend a few hours.
It is a government building with conference rooms which can be hired by private or cooperation if they have a need for it, it is really huge and is made up of detached building.
The Freedom Statue is a worthy visit if you are in Zambia. Being that it’s located right near the National Museum I’d suggest making it part of a half-day trip.
It's a lovely place to be at because it has a good facility and it's nice nice place to worship . May the Lord continue blessing is people at this place
Historic statue of Zambia's independence. Easily assessable from inference avenue. They should leave it clear of flags so that it is clearly seen.
