This place needs a proper sanitary inspection. The other day, I went to buy some cheese, picked a pack only to realize it was completely rotten at the back! It definitely wasn't blue cheese, so no confusion here. Then today, I went in again to buy some Kombucha. As I removed the label, I realized the bottle was way out of the "Best before" date scope. The date was marked as 20/7, so 8 days overdue. Does this store even realize they can jeopardize people's health by not thoroughly checking the products they're selling? Additionally, why do they not give their customers the receipt with the prices & products breakdown? I don't care about the debit card receipt. Customers need to have the actual products receipt for their own reference.
I am very worried and feel offended: your shop logistic is NOT respectful of the current anti-Covid measures in closed places. The double check out line to the counters does NOT respect the 2 meters of distance between customers in both directions (left/right; back/forth). Furthermore you allow customers NOT to respect the checking out queue with people physically getting ahead any other customer in order to reach asap the next available check out point and literally getting so close to any of us (already engaged in our paying process) without any distance. I have lost family members out of Covid. You have to rethink how to make your shop a legal and safer place for us all to shop in safety. asap. Dr G. Adamo (FTCD)
The baked goods are excellent here if you get them early in the day before they dry out. If you can get the pretzel rolls before lunchtime they are lovey but after that they get dry and hard. Coffee is nice as well. They have a nice selection of organic foods as well and loads of healthy fruits, vegetables, and various other food items. Also they have a strangely extensive variety of American snacks like many flavors of pop tarts, as well as Baby Ruth's, Paydays, Twizzlers, Butterfingers, etc... This is a great place for a baked good and a coffee. They have tables to eat in or take away.
I am a regular at this store for nearly a year (usually 4 times a week). The service is outstanding, and I know most of the employees. Almost always, everything is "fresh", and comments to the contrary are not correct, given my 200+ times in this shop. The frustrating things are the price (easily about 20% higher than most places for similar items) and the selection (today, no parsley, no vindaloo sauce nor paste, no ground beef, no XXX ... etc.). For making meals, I have learned to be flexible, which is okay if you can think on the fly as to how to swap ingredients.
While it’s true that you can find brands and some types of food you can’t find elsewhere, the general quality of meat, fish and fresh produce is very low and prices are ridiculously high. As others have written you need to double check that everything you buy is still fresh: you find moldy fruit and packaged foods with very short “best before” dates implying that they’ve been sitting there for a long time. I’ll continue to go to buy this 2-3 things you can only find there but I’d rather go to M&S and the Spar or get Tesco to deliver at home
It must be irony that it's name and the products are not a match. I have come a cross too many times that the food on the shelfs were not fresh or even rotten. I have told this to two different managers twice in different times but no precautions taken. It happened to me today again. An avocado my girl friend bought from there and we noticed that it was totally rotten once she got home. Prices are over than average and products are not good and since these are only angles I can vote on, I can give 2 stars for their work.
Had come to drop my CV..As they mentioned they need full time staff..so i went in and met manager, without seeing my CV he said ' they' will not hire immigrants on my face which is rude behaviour to any person..In this case the manager would have mentioned outside like (Full time Staff required but not immigrants)..For rest of people who are looking to work there make sure you are not immigrants.so you can avoid this discrimation.
I am a frequent customer of this Fresh store. I go every single day, and today I went to the store running to get some essentials items and the store was 10 minutes to close. The security was very polite to me when I asked to come in. But the cashier shouted from the inside that I could not come in because the store was closed but, actually, 10 minutes were still left to close the store. I won't go any more to this store.
Not only do they have much more expensive products than you can find in nearby shops, but they also don't respect the opening hours. It's not the first time I've arrived at 21:50 and found that they've closed the doors. I point out that the sign says it closes at 22:00 and they look at me as if to say "this is the way it is". Not only have you lost a customer, very soon you will close this shop for being greedy and lazy.
OMG I just went to the Deli today and the old blond lady was very rude to me. She was making fun of me to her coworkers when she turned her back. I felt very disrespected and disappointed. I always go there to have my lunch because I work in this area. I had to leave and go to the other shop nearby. She’s not happy working there but a bit of manners is always welcome, that’s what we expected at least from an old person.
Very overpriced. Organic vegetables are sold for twice as much as in Tesco Jervis without noticeable quality difference. Also, you will sometimes find moldy vegetables, which is not what I expect from a shop called Fresh. But I live in the same building and it's a good option for a quick shopping, i.e. when you urgently need some ingredients for cooking. Also they have a nice selection of good quality teas.
Cesspit of a deli. The three howiye aul ones working on it were one by one, insulting every customer in the queue who ordered a roll, mocking them and making sly comments to their coworkers under their breath. Their attitude is horrendous. How did someone actually hire these people? The most absurd experience I have ever had. Will never return to this dirt hole of a shop.
Great sanwhiches but the attitude of the staff on the sandwich counter leaves a whole lot to be desired! Very poor indeed. While the individual at the counter was NOT an Irish National, he could do with some Irish charm training, just not a nice attitude to have in this day in age from the Service sector. I went across to the spar and got a sandwich without ANY problems!.
Very expensive, rude security. They are usually closed at least ten minutes before their published opening time so go half hour before closing or it might be black tea in the morning. The positive: they have a wide range of Belgian speciality beers and craft beers with a six for price of five deal to soften the exorbitant prices. There is a SPAR 100 metres away.
The name says it all. It's a supermarket and deli chain in Dublin. Although my rating is weighted heavily on the quality of food. Unfortunately it loses stars based on their price point. Fresh do fantastic sandwiches and offer tons of options but you do pay for it. Not a cheap food/snack option. Definitely at the higher price point of sandwich shops
Out of all people working there I get approached, I was having looking around like everyone else in the shop. One of the guys who works there approaches me Asking me 'what you looking for? Why not ask others?? Did you think I was gonna steal one of your items?? Like keep your distance! had to leave lost interest in buying anything from here
So overpriced. When I arrived into town I went over to get some essentials for the apartment and ended up with a 50€ shop. I thought, wow, Dublin is expensive! Then today I went to Tesco express and realized I just payed double for everything the day before! Plus Tesco has some much more options. Go the extra 200 m to Tesco.
Everything but Fresh. I don't remember literally one time that I get a vegetable, fruit which is not already rotten. Most of dairy products on the shelves are already out of date. This applies to ALL FRESH MARKETS. It's just a good place if you are a passer-by, want to have cigarettes, wine or snacks. Don't go for the rest.
The fruits are almost never fresh. The berries are sold even if their expiry date has passed. Most of the time they have mould. Not recommended for fruits or vegetables as they are also over priced. On the other hand, you can find a variety of healthy food stands here.
I dont even have to think about this place i l know every thing is Fresh, I love the ciabatta from here and the deli counter is mouthwatering.. very efficient counter staff and I've never had to wait long at the cashiers. Oh and the whole shop smells lovely
Ridiculously expensive prices 65 Cent for a single banana 26 Cent In Marks and Spencer's just across the road to your own 95 per 100 grams at salad bar that's one egg in their salad hell on earth can they justify prices like this
Lots of selection, decided on a chicken roll for lunch, my mates was 4.30, mine was 6.45. I asked howcome and they explained u got cheese and coleslaw on yours. So chicken cheese and coleslaw roll is 6.45. Heavy price tbf
Covid aware. Very helpful and friendly staff. Nice clean shop plenty of space to walk around in. Good food and to top it if have cafe instore ( no more sitting in the rain). And the crem de crem WHEELCHAIR FRIENDLY …
They do great carvery sandwich like allot of other Fresh stores... Plus you can also pick up some nice pre-made dinners like shepards pie For a smaller size store it carries a good range
Prices are inconsistent, I'll get the same roll different days and price varies from 4.50 to 7.00 with same toppings every time, bought the wedges, one day theyre 3.50 and 5.25 the next
A bit expensive, but very high quality products, not keen on the bouncer glaring at you the whole time you are in there, found it a bit intimidating and uncomfortable.
It's not as busy as usual, owing to the lack of office workers in the area, but they still offer s great service ,all good now with street busy with workers returned,
Friendly staff and eclectic range of food and soft drinks. Staff have good sense of humour. Clean, fresh and intelligently laid out. I like this place!
Good selection of food with some options you can't find elsewhere. The only donwside are the prices that are much higher than in other supermarkets.
Very quite and it's very expensive to buy groceries there . But the hot food is nice , and the portions aren't to expensive. Very clean as well .
€8.50 for a small box of cheerios, have they made a mistake on pricing or are they actually trying to rob people blind, my guess is the latter.
Although store is opened till late it is bit costly than some competitors, maybe they can keep the costing affordable and expand customer base.
Cold deli is spot on. Hot deli not do much, it's ok if you like Cremated rashers and sausage with white strips. Staff are nice and friendly.
Absurdly expensive (ex a small tuft of old Asparagus for 7€). Strange selection of products. Fine for a bottle of wine, but not much else.
Staff seem to close 10 minutes before the stated closing time so please update closing time to reflect so people are aware. Cheers
Good for quality food and making a fast lunch/dinner on the spot with their already cooked food. Basic products are very expensive
Nice small grocer but very high prices except for deli rolls and sandwiches. Includes a tiny Insomnia coffee shop with seats.
This place is Rip off €7.45 for a roll with cheese butter lettuce and chicken. Avoid this place Spar up the road way better
Don't advertise working until a certain time if security does not let anyone in 5 min prior to close. Won't be coming back.
Such a great place for interesting food! The staff are so friendly especially Olive who was a big help to me …
seven stars to manager, supervisor and checkout girl who should get at least one compliment before she get into work
Good selection of food, decent deli counter and self service salad bar but can be a bit pricey for every day items.
Wouldn't let us in at 21.55 despite being open until 22:00. Small store so very easy to be in and out in 5 minutes
Out of the 3 stores from the area, this is the best stocked. I found it to be a bit pricey though.
I like fresh it's got good selection of fresh foods, drinks, coffee and pre packed food also
They often make mistakes on their favour and charge you too much. Always ask for the receipt
Excellent cakes and deli. Great selection of rare sauces, pickles and sometimes groceries.
Very expensive but decent quality. It is a very big space and had a good pastries section.
Very expensive. Quality standards for a lot of things. Quality superior for the vegetables
Had Spicy chicken baguette over here, didn't taste that good. Just another normal eatery.
Yes it's around the corner but also super expensive for basic grocerys and an ok quality
CUSTOMERS ARE NOT WEARING MASKS IN THIS STORE AND THE MANAGEMENT DO NOT CARE , STAY AWAY
Make sure you check tour veggies before buying, as some of them might be not so fresh.
Stear clear of the deli, the chicken fillet in my roll was completely raw and rubbery
Good for quality, gourmet and healthy food and great for breads and bakery priducts.
Expensive but worth it, great staff and the choice and quality of the food is good.
High quality fresh food. The salads are to die off. Great variety. Love this shop.
Pretty decent place.. Price is a bit on the higher side though. Helpful staffs..
Great quality of food, efficient and friendly staff. The location is very good!
As the name says, foods are fresh and bit costly compared to other food stalls.
Variety of food. A bit pricy. If you're lucky you get sample of food for free
The name says it and keeps the promise. Great for lunch take away and salads!
Blonde woman working behind the Deli could do with learning a bit of manners
Amazing selection......Fantastic Staff and Food.....best Deli in Dublin 1
Decent variety of products. friendly staff. Fresh vegetables and fruits.
Clean, good variety for a convienience store. But on the expensive side.
Freshly made salads and sandwiches. Also great selection of groceries
Everything's nice fresh coffee and a bite to eat ✨♥️♥️♥️✨ …
This shop is great local. Always clean and the staff are are great.
A handy shop in the IFSC with a good selection of food and alcohol
They sell expired products! Watch out for dates on fresh salads!
Rotten the chicken fillet was burnt and the roll was like a rock
Reasonable supermarket complementing others in the same area.
Not fresh bad people from the off very rude and racist
Nice shop with high quality products, but expensive.
My favourite grocery store even tho its overpriced
Very Overpriced for certain things, but open late.
Pricy and the quality rarely justifies the prices.
Love pre pack sushi there... And a nice cafe....
Lovely shop with wide variety of fresh produce
Food often not that fresh but always expensive
A bit pricy but is perfect for small shopping
You can eat very healthy food and very fast!
Pricey and lots of expired products on sale.
Outstanding store. Have everything you need.
Great and fresh products. Expensive though.
The old lady at Deli is rude to customers.
Expensive like everything else in the area
A little expensive but worth every penny
