I am not one to write negative reviews however in this case I have no option. I have patronized this store many times since it opened. The store is clean and normally has good selection. My only criticism (until today) would be the lack of human cashiers, having only 1 on most times I have attended; often I was forced to use self-checkout due to lack of staff. On multiple occasions I have specifically went for one of the flyer featured on sale items only to find they were out of stock. There have been many times that I requested a rain-check for an out of stock item and was denied. Today when denied a rain-check for the 2nd time in two days, I then asked the cashier to speak with the manager. The store owner did arrive in short order and I explained that I had specifically came to by a featured item and both days it was out of stock. Additionally, I explained that I was not provided with a rain-check when requested. When I asked the owner/manager why they were not complying with their "in stock guarantee" his response was "we have discretion to NOT provide rain-checks for items". I told him this was not the first time (in fact 2nd in 2 days and 4th time in total) that I had requested a rain-check and was not given one. If they have discretion to not grant rain-checks what is the point in having an "in stock guarantee" at all? It is my hope that those who take the time to read this will follow my lead and no longer shop here until such time when they actually start to adhere to their posted policies.

I usually shop at Sobeys, but when I lived closer I would always shop at the Safeway here. What in the hell were they thinking the Safeway was WAY BETTER than this! Safeway had great options, great quality of produce, you could've have your Starbucks while you shopped. Whatever this place is supposed to be it's such a disappointment! Plus allot of the meat is Halal! As someone who donates to PETA and is very concerned with animal welfare, Halal meat is animal torture. The animals are not stunned before they are killed and are killed alive with a knife to the throat. I've seen videos on how Halal meat is produced and I was somewhat traumatized from what I saw. Don't believe me? Do some research and look for yourself. I'll have to go back and really take another good look at this place, they promise low prices but seriously I saw better looking produce at Sobeys which only costs about 15-50 cents more than Fresh Co. This place confuses me. RIP Safeway :'( Edit: I went to check it out again. They do have products you would find in most supermarkets. They do have regular meat non Halal stuff. Lots of imported food, lots of Italian food, little oddities everywhere that I'd like to try. They have a massive wall of every kind of bean and rice you could imagine. I'll be coming here for my Indian recipes they actually do have a decent stock of stuff.

Worst end to my evening and I didnt even end up getting anything thanks to an employee that handled the situation poorly and for that fact I won’t be shopping here again. Here’s a little backstory I went in to go and get coffee creamer ended up finding a lot of good things on sale. I had to pay with cash so I go to the till and this lady is in front of me and she’s trying to redeem some sort coupon of Or I have no idea, but the shorter lady that was maybe the manager or no cause she had to call the manager. Said it wasn’t aloud and continued telling this girl that she was not allowed to do that and pretty much in my opinion berating her in front of a customer . pretty much making it known that she’s wrong and that she screwed up and his girls younger so I felt kind of bad for the girl and that lady then tried to help me she couldn’t login and I got frustrated and I left all my stuff because I didn’t feel like dealing with this lady anymore. Your manager that night on December 28 didn’t do much to rectify the situation either. I get it everybody is trying to save money nowadays, but they should’ve better better solution than to be reading another employee in front of a customer.

This store is terrible! From the owner and down to all the staff. They are rude and seems they all have a chip on their shoulders and unwilling to help, that is if you can find someone actually working in the departments. The store always looks dirty and very unorganized no matter what time of day you go in or even what day of the week, the store always looks like a huge disaster. Owner clearly is all about the profit and not the customer experience he has product shoved into every nook and cranny and beyond making the store very cramped to try and shop. The shelves have product all over the place seems like staff are just throwing product on shelf wherever they see fit. many missing price tags on shelf and definitely check the dates on everything, I have come across many outdated products from fresh and frozen to dry goods. How do you have expired canned goods like soup in your store that says a lot to me about how it’s run. This store compared to the St. Albert store are night and day, St. Albert is always clean and inviting and shelves are always fully stocked and ORGANIZED. I really hate this store and wish they would have left it as a Safeway!

I'm in awe and not in a good way, in a bad way. It has 0 Sobeys or Safeway vibes. It's literally a Giant Tiger's grocery department on steroids. Half the item I've never seen in my life, maybe because half the items are halal or imported from another country. Fruits and Vegetables borderline going bad, completely disorganized aisles, poorly faced with terrible presentation. Most bunkers just have product thrown in, not stacked. Prices are NOT competitive. Bring a quarter for the carts... I've only ever seen carts that take $1.00 coins, but these carts are different. Oh good luck if you find one in the lobby, the parking lot seems to be the location this store likes to store them. Hopefully you know what you're looking for, the clerks don't care or have any means to ask anything (Usually I don't care but the Sobeys brand preaches customer service, I did 6 years with the company, both retail and head office). Complete turn off. Won't be going back. If this is the way the store is going to be ran, it'll be out of business in a year. #BringBackMarcPoulin #BringBackSafeway

The door barely opens enough to get into the store and then there is an automatic gate that does what it wants. My young child got hit hard in the back of the head with it(no they were not just standing in front of the gate. We barely got through it before it happened). Managers response was “we have a caution sign on it.” I advised it’s not good enough. Manager also responded with it’s for safety, it’s ok with fire marshal code and to maybe be extra careful. He only offered and asked if we needed first aide after I rebute his response more than once. I advised that it’s clearly not for safety of the customers if people are getting injured (I’m easily not the first to complain about getting hit) and that it’s only for the companies “safety of their products”. So in the end if it’s not keeping your customers safe it’s not for safety, just protection for the bottom dollar. I am now strongly considering taking my large families business elsewhere for prescriptions. The only reason I have it 2 stars is because the pharmacy staff over all is amazing.

I absolutely love the product here. Produce is always fresh, they have all the international items that my partner and I desire - including Bulgarian Cheese! As I know this is a discount store I don't expect the best service, but I have had some dissapointing experiences during late night. With my personal and work schedule, sometimes the last hour of a grocery store being open is the only time I have to shop. I do my best to be considerate that there are working folks who want to get home, and I try to be out 15 minutes before close. The odd time that I have still been in 10 minutes before, there are up to 4 staff members and the manager leaning at the till watching me pack my $200+ worth of groceries. I know they are probably off the clock so I don't expect them to help me pack, but I felt very rushed out the door, when I was obviously trying my best to be as quick as I could. I wasn't going to say anything the first time it happened but this has been twice. In the line of business I am in, open till 10 means serving till 10.

Here's a tip for the manager of this store to DOUBLE SALES: Hire a cashier. Pay him or her to do NOTHING ELSE but stand at the cash, process customers' orders and take money. As an added bonus, the cashier could offer to pack our reusable bags. I would have spent $250 when I was in, as opposed to $100 if I did not have to restrict my order to a smaller size because I had to use the ridiculous self-serve checkouts. These self-serve checkouts are NOT DESIGNED for a "big shop". The store is beautiful, otherwise - well stocked and clean. Unfortunately, Wal-Mart got my "big shop" this month because there was only one attendant at the self-serves and no cashier at all at the full serves. It's not rocket science. Pay somebody to take money (not to do double duty as a shelf stocker). It's quite a simple decision, unfortunately, the no-brains in head office instruct the local managers to provide no service. Then they fire the manager because he/she is not making profit targets. Sheesh.

I have read several opinions which clearly show the serious situation of this store and I completely agree...the prices are not the same every time I pay, they are thieves, they do this intentionally, every time I check the prices there is always an increase on the products, since last year they have this problem, they increase the prices on people, if you don't check you will certainly pay more. I bought glasses $11 they charged me $20, apples $3 they charged me $8, salad $3 they charged me $7 and so on. I spoke with the manager of Indian origin he told me that it is because we change the prices every time, I told him that it is not normal, all the stores change the prices and they don't have this problem, why is it right here that you have this problem, I knew he was telling lies. in any case, be careful, and I think you have to make complaints to the consumer service so that they check with them and they stop defrauding people.

I cannot recommend this store at all, it’s a nice new build looks great, however more than once there was only one person on till, and one person on the self checkout, and more than once I had to leave my groceries cause I had other things to do, I went to superstore the day after to get my groceries, however the staff are friendly at freshco but it seems like they have been coached to not honour “scanning code of practice” this is unacceptable since many items I would of liked to buy, are 2-3 dollars over, sometimes double!… if the staff are being coached to not honour the Canadian law “scanning code of practice” I’d suggest bringing it up with head office or just not shopping there anymore, I intended to spend 2-3 hundred dollars but one till open, that’s not fair… negative 5 stars! And produce does not look good! Ouch. Superstore it is for me

  • AMY Teasdale

I went this morning for the second and last time. I had 8 things on a list and they had not one of them, and it was just basic stuff. Lots of empty spaces on shelves but other items were over flowing. Nothing that they had on sale was in store. Produce was one day away from garbage. Plus carts are a quarter and don't take the cart tokens. With Superstore right next door, there's zero reasons to go here again. It's too bad because I was excited for them to open. Edit: decided to give them another try, and found even more issues.. there was expired lunch meat, 2 days past the date, and when I pointed it out to a worker, I was offered a $2 sticker on it.. there was tons of soy milk that was expired that day as well. I told the cashier and she was rude and said some people prefer to buy it like that.. like, what?!

  • A Davis

Decided to check-out FreshCo for the first time. Safeway used to be located in this location, but moved awhile back. While the store shelves were well stocked, I was really puzzled as to what would make someone shop here as opposed to Superstore, which is just a few minutes away on 137 Ave. With few exceptions (check out flyer for deals), Superstore seemed to be better priced. The packages of grapes at Superstore are usually bursting at the seams, while here, there was room to spare. This may be because customers picked through them, but probably not, since many packages seemed to have extra space. The store had a generous number of self-checkout stations and was pretty clean, but overall, the store still kind of had a Giant Tiger feel to it and seemed a bit sad.

  • Arliss McCutcheon

Nice big bright beautiful store. Good selection of goods, reasonable prices. So why don't I do my "big shop" here? There are NO full-service cashiers. EVERY TIME I go there, I am forced to use the self serve machines that are marked "12 items or less". So, apparently, we cannot buy more than 12 items at a time? Is this what Fresco is trying to tell the customer? Instead of hiring MBAs to dictate levels of customer service, hire a random customer. I will bet the random customer will tell these "experts" that all Freshco has to do to increase sales is to OPEN A FULL SERVICE cash! Get rid of these stupid self-service positions that don't work properly. And, offer to bag groceries! It's not rocket science. Sheesh. Even Walmart gets this right. And Walmart delivers.

  • Jenny

This is my first and last time ever coming to Freshco. There was only one cashier open when I was there on a Sunday at 5:30pm. There were about 5 customers in line in front of us. After waiting 10 minutes it was finally our turn to load groceries onto the belt and suddenly the cashier closes the till while a different toll opens. So we had to stand at the back of the new line after waiting for so long. We were so fed up we used the self checkout service instead. The machine is so faulty and kept giving us error messages when there were no errors. On top of that, there was a customer who was being followed out and yelling at a worker. Safe to say I will never shop here again. Expensive products and bad service compared to other grocery chains.

March 18 2022 749pm Most raciest store unless you your Arabic or Muslim I really liked shopping there but when I was looking at the fresh meat and pre cooked food got racialized for being native one made a comment I couldn't afford here and they laughed it was about 749 pm so if you don't look right it's a hard place to shop with out being judge they act like there better than everyone like I said great store till this evening ignorance at its finest then they walk out better than everyone my thought shopp here you will see now feels like I'm fallowed it suckes being a Canadian native in this shopping world lately worst shopping experience this year besides save on foods being profiled even if they talk in a different language it hurts

  • T. W.

I store is clean, and the staff friendly. Prices are reasonable and lower than Safeway, Save on Foods, and Sobeys. The pharmacy staff are the same staff when Safeway existed. I know them very well, and they are very professional. The store has a nice fruit display, but hardly any meat. The bakery department has a lot of choices. I couldn't find many lactose and gluten free options. There is no customer service desk or a place to check lottery tickets. If you need help or change, you need to wait in the self serve lineup. Depending on how many people are in line, you could end up waiting a long time. If you have more than 12 items, they would like you to go through a till with a cashier.

  • JC Yu

Much like superstore but not. Located just on 137 ave. The Freshco is supposed to be similar to superstore, in that it has cheaper groceries and a larger variety of international foods compared to your typical safeway, save on or sobeys. I have, at times, found the selection of day to day groceries limited and the produce can be a bit hit and miss but I, honestly, really like this place for the convenience and larger selection of international foods and finds. Much like safeway, Freshco also deploys the same cash back or discount for gas after a certain amount of money spent. So bonus if you need to buy groceries and want a slight discount on gas.

  • Thien Nguyen

The bacon and the oranges I had in my cart, scanned higher than what was posted above the items in the aisle. Showed the cashier the $10 "price scan guarantee" they had next to the checkout. Was denied and told that she was giving the price posted above the item only. The chicken and the pork loin advertised in the flyer in the early morning of the first day of the sale week was not in stock. This is my second time there and it feels like I have to double check everything that gets scanned. Had similar issues last time as well. Won't be coming back. No customer service counter to go to if you have any issues or returns.

  • C Lim

If you see my reviews, normally I won't give 1 star. If you going to buy beef, or pork, check the colors (Beef, burger patty etc) , lot of 'black color meat' is still selling at regular price, I also see black burger patty as well ! If you go Superstore, Walmart to buy the 30% off beef, or meat (1 day before expiration date), normally u may able to see 10% of deep color, but not black.. If you want more customers/traffic to your store, put some fresh produce, fruit at very cheap price, so customers went there, normally they will buy grocery, beef, meat, chicken and also fruit , so your MEAT, PRODUCE will stay fresh

  • Johnny Wilson

BAD just bad. Owner Raj is a joke take that raincheck plus 10% sign down you won't give rain checks when u run out which is often, produce massive fruit flies smells like stale water, staff morale i dont think ive ever met a more defeated miserable crew in my life and im not tallking about the useless 16 year olds that are trying thier first job.. This was Sobeys big answer franchise to these retards who couldn't start a rock fight in a gravel pit. Pretty sad when giant tiger is a more viable option. Raj save yourself some shred of dignity and sell before you do more damage

  • Osama Al-Khaldi

Store is nice and clean. Staff are okay but need a lot of training. Lots of products don’t have price tags, self checkout atms are so annoying and ask several questions like “do you want to scan your scene card “ the minute you touch the screen, this question should be asked at the end. Also it doesn’t accept some financial cards. Prices go up quick at this store , you may see a price for a product went up 3 times in 3 calendar day in a raw. not like other stores near by like superstore or Walmart. Everything said here I have tested it, tried it or experienced it myself.

  • Mark DesLauriers

Despite their name, this FreshCo location isn't very fresh. Since changing to a FreshCo from a Safeway, I quite often find their goods on the shelves (regardless of the department) near or past expiry. This was never an issue before. There is usually only one cashier working (and several self check outs) and there are seldom baskets up at the front. I live across the street from this location but find myself traveling further to the Save On or Superstore as the food quality/expiry dates are better and the store seems to be better staffed up front.

  • Lily N

First, I have to say the staff is friendly and the store appears clean at first glance with workers restocking and cleaning all around. They had a wide selection of products that are unique and not widely available. Now to thr BAD stuff...there are many putrid smells in the produce section. It smells like dirty rags and very very spoiled meat. There is a very bad fruit fly infestation. In the dry section, the bags of rice were broken and there was fly poop on some bags. When I got home, I washed my produce and wiped down the packaging.

  • Kurtis Heidt

Very clean store friendly staff but horrible selection of toothpaste no charcoal tooth paste which is one of the top selling kinds no brush heads or tooth brushes people dont brush there teeth here maybe instead of being ocd over store cleanliness and shelves perfectly stocked they should focus on ordering products to fit there customers needs went over to shoppers much beyter selrction actually had charcoal tooth paste and brush heads most people wont complain over you not having daily necessities they will simply shop somewhere else

  • Beatriz Barrientos Cabrera

Don't come to this place!! They have the worst handling of cold products, three times we tried cheeses and three times they came out rotten, literally green, we also bought some ice cream popsicles that were thawed and moldy, frozen again, the products were not even close to the date expiration, there was simply poor management of the cold chain. The customer service when we went to complain was terrible, they don't have enough staff so we waited too long to the point that we got fed up and left without getting our money back.

  • Kitschy Devil

Feels like I'm shopping at the superstore which is next door... I miss the experience safeway offered. There is no floral department, no bakery, no deli or hot food counter. I don't find the prices all that much different.. and honestly I would rather pay more for a warmer shopping experience. Feels like I'm grocery shopping at a hospital... keep in mind before you go, you have to bag your own groceries like at superstore, and there are no plastic or paper bags. You can buy fabric bags or plastic baskets. Underwhelmed.

  • K.

Produce is either very good , or in a sad state. Meat is decently priced. Some things are expired on the shelf. It seems there’s some pantry staples that are never in stock: and most of the time we backtrack to Sobey’s to purchase decent produce. Literally one person working checkout. Junkies literally walk in and steal in broad daylight: some dude tried to steal from my purse on his way out while he just walks out the store- clerks do not do a damn thing. I would be investing in loss prevention and hiring more staff.

  • Penny Johnson

Worst store ever! Only 2 cashiers ever open regardless of time of day or day of week, and 2-3 self-serve terminals open. Never NOT had a mistake on my bill. Constant turnover of staff which says a lot. Will not answer the phone. Complained to head office and was assured I would get a call from manager whichnever happened! Lots of competition in the area so don't waste your time. Only good thing about this store is the superior pharmacy staff (carried over from Safeway) who appreciate your business and try to keep it.

  • Rene Mahe

Went to this location for convenience. I didn’t want to drive to Safeway, I saw they price match and called to make sure they had the brand of product I was looking for, they did. To my surprise when I got there, the don't price match most stores! They don’t even price match Sobeys/Safeway! Just Walmart, superstore & the other Fresh Co’s! There’s no signs or notice of it unless you’re at the till where the debit machine is. With that being the only sell for me I won’t be back.

  • Solongfairlady

I've been here a couple of times dont mind shopping for food here but the staff are very ignorant, judgemental and racist. Ive never felt more uncomfortable going to the checkout with my food and having them give looks and make rude comments. My question is why are these people still employed and nothing is being done to get this resolved. I'll be taking my business else where as they are unprofessional and unwelcoming. Buyers beware !!!

  • Kirk Dewhurst

Fresh new store in an established location. This was a Safeway store that was changed to its new iteration, Freshco. It’s Sobeys cheaper brand like No Frills is Loblaws discount grocery store. My wife and I enjoyed our experience here. The prices are reasonable. The store is well lit and clean. Lots of international food selections, especially middle eastern food. There is also a pharmacy here. We will definitely come back again.

  • Laura Campatthebell

I like the store and layout. Some food made in store has no labels for expiry-calories.. Very large selection of imported foods! My only complaint would be the staff/cashiers were very unfriendly and actually quite rude on more than 1 occasion. The self checking is very touchy and locks you out often. The ladies who watch just sit there and complain at you. Un friendly and not helpful..not sure why they work there.

  • Hilal Shakarchi

Great selection of products, at a good price, however products come and go. Sometimes you find a product , another time it disappears and is no longer available. The employees can't even check the system to know if a product is still being sold, hidden somewhere, or if it will be available in the future. It's easier for me to shop at Walmart where I can check online what's in store before driving for nothing.

  • Selina (Sphynxee)

So far I prefer this location as far as freshco goes. There's a lot more alternative vegetables and fruits to choose from. The stock seems much fresher and the prices are still very reasonable. I like there is an attached gas station you can get a discount for after purchasing groceries. Ample parking is available. It's easy to access. Lots of lighting and it's very clean and organized as well.

  • sanjiv kumar uprety

This store has been improved a lot from the time it started. It has got a wide varieties of ethnic items; east Asian and south Asian produce, food and grocery items. I especially love the quality produce here. All the items which are on sale, mentioned in flyers never run out. The staffs are professional and helpful. Except some of the items, all have good price too. I certainly recommend it.

  • Nicholas Scott

Prices are comparable at any other store for basically everything. The produce is always in rough shape and products are always past expiration. Have to dig through bread and buns just to find some that aren't already 2-3 days past the date same with dairy and egg products. I don't enjoy getting home only to realize it goes bad today. Major down grade over the Safeway that used to be here.

  • Crystal Gibson

I have been to this location a few times, and the customer service I have received at the till is unacceptable. The cashier's are fast but very pushy!!! You try to bag your groceries and the belt is moving pushing other customers groceries into yours. If they had two belts available ths would and should not happen. Also the self serv is not user friendly. I do not recommend this location.

  • Trish Breckenridge

Absolutely terrible store. Dirty, bugs on plants and produce is mostly turning bad. You can barely find anyone to help with a question. Prices are not low and food is not fresh. Everything has been frozen and shipped in. No fresh bakery, deli or floral department so they’ve got a lot of nerve calling this dumpy store fresh anything. Will never hand another cent to this loser store.

  • Jay Jensen

I can't put no stars. But this store is always disorganized. Last time I went I told myself I would not go back. Today I forgot the last shopping experience and went. Most products were not in the proper place on the shelf and when checking out the prices didn't match the shelf price. I think the manager may need to hire people who do a proper job and not just shelf fillers.

  • Kelly Petterson

Poor customer service, and product is less quality compared to Superstore, EXCEPT for Westgate meat shop, best meat with excellent prices. Fruits are usually not fresh, watermelon is bad every time, Superstore is much better, staff not friendly Update: 15-October-2023, went to buy meat and unfortunately saw a mouse, this will be the last time to visit FreshCo at 137 Ave

  • Gerald Luke

Well let's see come in the store no wet floor sign no one keeping floor clean no manager on duty I slipped in your store and no worker cared one saw me fall and didn't care lucky I only got a little pain in my arm could talk to lawyer if I was that type of person take better care of your store and tell staff to pay more attention I won't be back and I will tell everyone

  • Steve E

If you want a place with less selection, inferior products, long slow lines, confused self checkout with no help, discarded food items at self checkout, etc.... then this is the place for you. It's not for me and I expect a place like this to be managed better. I have a lot of options nearby, and will continue to go to those places. I will not revisit FreshCo.

  • Bobby & Brenda

BEWARE I was in the checkout and the woman checking out, was rubbing her snotty nose on her hand and then scanning peoples products. I brought this to the attention to the manager and he got hostile and aggressive. This is not a good place. The manager should not be a manager, there’s janitorial jobs for people like this beware. This is not a well kept Store.

  • Chris J

TERRIBLE STORE, RUN THE OTHER WAY. IF YOU WANT MICE AND MICE DROPPINGS IN YOUR GROCERIES THEN SHOP HERE. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. THE STORE MANAGER, RAJ, TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. DOES NOT CARE FOR THE STORE OR THE CUSTOMER. YOU CAN TELL BY THE POOR QUALITY CONTROL IN THE STORE. HE IS RUDE. STORE IS DISGUSTING. I WILL MAKE SURE FRIENDS AND FAMILY NEVER SHOP HERE.

  • Abner Juntereal

Was to excited to run to this place after my work but quite disappointed Asian section not impressive. Some products not scanning properly (need to call for help and use other product’s code just to process the transaction) Compare to Lucky (same size and location) Lucky superstore is way better compare to varieties of products and services being offered

  • Cassandra Black

I HATE FRESH.CO!!!! Some rude employee was being rude by ignoring me and taking me all over the store just to get a bag of chips. The fruit is not fresh and has a slimy residue on it. Wanted to return but didn't have a receipt. I've wasted so much money on there produce and its all frozen and never fresh. Please don't come to fresh.co because its all lies!

  • Thom Andrews

I liked the selection at the Safeway in this location. Went to the new FreshCo and it feels like there just isn’t as much stuff, or maybe it’s just the way it’s laid out. The store was clean and bright and had lots of staff so that’s good, but I feel like the other grocery stores in the area have more of what I actually get, so I don’t think I’ll be back.

  • Austen Ginther

Very uncomfortable and eerie atmosphere. Contrasts starkly with the homey and cozy environment of the Safeway that was the previous business in the building. Sobey's should never have put a Fresh Co here. They offer expensive food that is low quality. The only reason for 2 stars is because they have an expansive International section, which is welcomed.

  • Faisel Ahmed

We went to tahini's Kitchen inside this fresco because of the advertisements we've seen based out of the Toronto location, we were mildly disappointed as the butter chicken shawarma and Jamaican Jerk wraps were cold and the pita was not freshly made as advertised. My two boys ages 8 and 11 also found at the Sharma was a very small size.

  • Alessa

One cashier lane open. Had to go to self checkout. Also pretty disappointing when your employees would rather talk to their friends at the self checkout, directly beside me, than assist with the red light is going off because of an 'unknown item'. I'm just going to go to Costco next time. And I sugggest anyone reading this do the same.

  • Laurie Thomas

A very sad pharmacy! 2 weeks in a row we searched for chewable melatonin. Pharmacy staff did not care that the shelves were not stocked with this product nor other shelves that were bare in this area for over 2 weeks. The response was "we don't stock that area". Very poor staff care and concern. Sad. Zero customer service.

Don't come here if you don't plan on buying anything because you'll be searched by the ignorant staff. Came in here looking for a gift card which they didn't have, and once I was leaving they wanted to check my bag. NEVER COMING BACK Don't recommend this grocery store. Superstore is just down the street .

  • Iman Sandouga

Raj is an absolute joke of a manager. He’s rude, condescending, and seems very misinformed on what’s going on in his store. This freshco is brutal. It’s dirty and unorganized, the produce is not good and the shelves are not stocked and Raj doesn’t seem to care. Will not ever be returning to this frescho

  • Jannette Anderson

I was excited to see how the prices at Fresco compared to Superstore & No Frills. I definitely won't be shopping at Fresco. For eg the large jug of Salsa at Fresco was $8 & I pd $6.39 at Superstore 2 days ago. Plus there was absolutely no chip dip to be found in Fresco. Nope won't be shopping there....

  • Nichole Wells

Great prices, fresh produce, store is very clean. Then to top it off the customer service I received at self checkout by Charlene was fantastic. The way she treated me and had a fantastic attitude you can tell she loves her job! Thank you Charlene for making my shopping experience a wonderful one!

  • Brian Kimzey

Unbelievable! The price on the shelf, for a case of cat food $8.49. I was charged $11.79 per case? The shelf price for a 2kg bag of dry cat food was $8.79. I was charged $10.79? Is this on purpose?? Most likely!! I will Never shop here again!! You have been warned! Once a Safeway always a Safeway!

  • O Kasio

Below average store experience. No customer service desk and supervisors tend to take their time to come and override a transaction when requested by the cashiers. In my last visit, the poor cashier had to put a call five times for someone to show up with queue building up!! Not going back there.

  • Izzy

Grocery store. They advertise how their prices are so much lower than everywhere else, but honestly? It really isn't. A lot of their prices actually seem even higher if you look at the unit prices. Canadians are getting ripped off by big grocery chains, but sadly there is nothing we can do.

  • Amanda Payne

This isn't a favorite place to shop, but their prices are a bit lower. When I go for Yogurt....if it's on sale, most times they either don't have the stock to fill it or the staff to fill it. It drives me Bonkers! I dont shop here often because the weekly sales are rarely available.

  • R R

This stores advertising for lowest prices is false as they do not price match with the lowest prices in the city even when provided with a flyer. Their raincheck policy is supposed to be a rain check plus 10% off and their manager refuses to give out a raincheck when asked.

  • Taison Gelinas

The Safeway that this took over was perfect. It had a great bakery. I don’t understand the change. The new place is called FRESH Co yet there other than the fruits and veg, there is nothing fresh. No bakery! How can you call it Fresh Co if you don’t have a bakery…

  • Paul Charbonneau

As much as like trying different things most of the available groc were more ethnic and very little of what i was looking for, meat prices were par with any other big box stores so not much savings in that dept, the produce looked very fresh. over all its just ok

  • Zuj Tali

Poorly staffed and the manager, Raj, is unprofessional. You can tell this store is poorly managed, not enough staff. I had a complaint about having to wait when there are a dozen un manned tills available and Raj just talked in circles, absolutely useless

  • Nicolas Karas

Managers seem to be rude and unkind the place can't even afford to keep their employees and they try to hide policies that would benefit the customer they are shady and the cashier's run the belt like a treadmill and their an athlete trying to win a race

  • M F

Beautiful store with nice layout. There was a great assortment of food and I was able to find all I needed. The prices were very good in comparison to other grocery stores. The staff were respectful and kind. I will definitely be shopping here again!

  • Shiv

Asked for help to find an item in the store and one of the Freshco staff (lady with dark short hair) refused. When I asked if anyone else was available to help me she said no and walked away. What a garbage store with zero customer service.

  • Brad Durie

Very disappointing store. Feels like a copycat of superstore. Produce leave much to be desired, very poor lay out. Should have left this store a Safeway where there was quality meat, produce and bakery. I won’t shop at a freshCo again.

  • josephine Bwari

Very poor customer service in the meat department. Their meat is always expired and this happened to me 3 times. When I brought the issue up with the guy in that department, he rudely told me if you are not happy you can leave. I left

  • Pravatika Rai

Bad customer service. The lady at the self check out today March 14,2023 @1600hrs was rude. They are selling fruit cake that expired on Feb 24,2023 with no regret. She simply told me to rerurn item n get my refund..what a nerd she was

  • Carmel Customnail

I stopped in to grab a few things for nachos.. I didn't get very far. Not sure what the rest of the store looked like but their tomatoes were not nice the avocados were horrible. And I didn't notice the prices to be all that much less

  • Camilla Narayan

Freshco definitely has a great selection of non alcoholic beer for those people who like the taste but not the intoxication. Their prices are pretty close to the best value you can get and you can also earn scene points if you are a

  • J C

Poor service only one cashier 5 people in line mentioned to the cashier about a lower price on a item didn't make an effort to price match no 2 percent milk in stock for almost 2 weeks. Sure miss Safeway. Won't shop there again.

  • Grasshopper Vision

Amazing store and a large variery of products. Cean store with good deals. Reasonably priced. This Store is a good alternative for those who like doing their grocery shopping at Nofrills. And fuel points for loyalty is a bonus.

  • Sam Donaghey

I would like to give a higher rating but 2 of the last 3 visits here they were out of stock of their flyer front page sale items (I specifically went for) and I had to get a rain check. Nice and clean. Ok selection otherwise.

  • Rick Stew

Place is always a zoo, big produce, no bakery, bad selection, isles very small and narrow so you can't really distance from other people. Poor store layout. the safeway that was in this location previously was 1000x better.

  • Lisa Makarowski

You need to watch every price when going through the checkout. The prices on the shelf are not correct. I had 12 items and 7 were priced incorrectly. They are always short staffed and out of stock. I will never go back!!!!

  • M J

Was able to find cottage rolls here so that automatically makes this store awesome! Now if they get fresh peameal bacon, that would be 10 stars! Many good deals, fresh food options, and a large Indian food selection.

  • Leila Daoud

This is the worst run grocery store. The staff are lazy and rude, the management is clueless. The head office runs great specials that are always sold out at this location even on the day the flyer comes out.

  • Rick Gagnon

First time at FreshCo. Used to shop here when it was a Safeway. Was immediately impressed with the variety price and quality of products. Excellent produce and meat department. Will definitely be back again!

  • Nathan Trefanenko

The store is ok. I find the layout a little odd and the food selection is very ethnically diverse but missing alot of items normally I purchased when safeway was there or going to sobeys or save on foods.

  • D. R.

Interesting store. Can get some unique ingredients. Word of caution! Always check the expiry date. It's clear They don't care about expiry dates, I have ended up with some rank food. Pretty disappointing.

  • Icey Dad

Super clean with awesome staff. Everything I needed was in stock and a great price. Was looking for ethnic spices and manager Colin knew just where to find them. Amazing service! Thank you!!!!!

  • josephine Scopis

Not a bad store, a very wide variety of diff kinds of food which is awesome! Very clean, staff is very friendly and helpful. Also reasonably priced and will price match which is fantastic!

  • JUDITH GALLIMORE

I just love this location. I get fresh products and international foods. The meats are always fresh. My cashier Charlene was such a breath of fresh air. Definitely a location to visit.

  • Sabrina Szakacs

Great deals, however the person watching over the self checkouts, was extremely rude to my husband, who was just trying to find the bathroom. He ended up waiting until we got home.

  • Brenda Defer

I was excited to check out this new grocery store, expecting great prices and selections. There's no deli or bakery, and the layout is not very good either. I won't be going back.

  • Anas Ayyash

This store has impolite employees and their dealings with customers are very bad. Also, the managers do not respond to any complaints. I do not advise anyone to deal with them.

  • Shahnaz

I used to love shopping here however not much to be excited abt , fake pricing to distract customers, low quality vegetables and fruits . Most items are overpriced.

  • Hillary Bain

Nothing was fresh, not even the packaged food. Nothing was organized and there was an alarm going off from the entrance the whole 5 minutes I was in the store

  • Cheryl O

Friendly staff, good sales prices as well as everyday pricing. Also a nice and clean store. It feels good shopping here and supporting a locally owned store.

  • Kaleb Smalridge

Fresh co's items are wids spread... Like any other grocery store but a cleaner environment, more selection andndefintelyba beyterbliclvoptionbsnd display.

  • Chrissy M

Much better than Coliseum FreshCo. MUCH better. Not always empty shelves or excuses on why the advertised item isn’t in store ever like coliseum FreshCo.

  • Happy Truck

How does a store called FreshCo have no fresh baking? It looks like almost nothing is baked in store. Self checkout has no bags. Safeway was way better.

  • Corinne Hafner

It is so nice and open, so neat and tidy. Lots of product on shelves. Prices are comparable to Safeway. I would go back to buy meat. I was happy with it

  • Richard Donald Vert-Fifield (Void)

Amazing store to shop at good prices amazing staff Chantelle at self check out is always amazing to us we will definitely be coming back here

  • Tahir Mahmood

Good for groceries. It is better to check the prices and compare them with other stores before buying. Not always you will get good price

  • Kathryn P

Sooo bright in there, way too bright. Produce not in thr best shape. Bought frozen apples and they are literally a Blick of freezer burn.

  • Allan Hinton

Dismal couldn't care attitude from young female staffer in meat dept. Couldn't find sale item, no help from this person who walked away.

  • Sarah Shah

The rearrangement in the bakery section of the store looks nice! And the west gate and tahinis section are always a go to for me!

  • Steve Hynes

Lots of parking, clean store and good variety. Aisle seem a little narrower than most grocery stores but still not a problem
