My husband and I booked a 3D2N package and it included all transportation (pickup from Hanoi and drop-off in Ninh Binh), an overnight stay on a cruise (activities inclusive of kayaking, swimming, cooking class [quick spring roll lesson], night fishing to catch squid, biking, a cultural tour of Cat Ba, and all food), and then a home stay in Cat Ba (activities inclusive of a hike and all food). What I liked about the tour company was their communication. They were incredibly easy to contact via WhatsApp. We also asked for a mid-range cruise, which we got. The food was very good and the rooms were comfortable; however, hot water for showers was extremely limited. My main complaint is about the price. We paid around 5.6 million dong/person. Upon talking with other passengers on the cruise, many of them got a much better price. And one person who joined us for the homestay also got a cheaper price, and their package included a night kayak (ours did not). While it's nice having a tour company do all the logistical planning, it's a bit disappointing hearing how you overpaid for the same experience. My recommendation would be to shop around, as there are tons of tourist companies who offer similar packages and you may be able to negotiate a fair price. We thought we got a fair deal, but we also didn't shop around, which was our mistake.

Recomendables 100%, para repetir. En la oficina nos han atendido genial, nos han propuesto excursiones más alternativas y adaptadas a nuestros gustos. La 1a ha sido un viaje a Sapa desde Hanoi en tren nocturno (genial). Nos recogió un guía muy majo y muy puntual para llevarnos al tren hasta Sapa.Allí hemos hecho un treking con Mai, una guía estupenda de la etnia Red Dao, con la que hemos ido caminando entre arrozales y montes hasta su pueblo, por una ruta súper bonita en la que no había turistas. Allí hemos dormido en un homestaying de una familia fantástica, Su Mae nos ha hecho una cena y un desayuno alucinantes (probablemente sea la mejor comida que hemos comido en Vietnam) con productos de su huerta. Al día siguiente la guía Mai, nos ha venido a buscar y hemos conocido los alrededores del pueblo, su casa, nos ha enseñado a cocinar flor de calabaza y hemos comido con su familia una comida alucinante hecha por ella. Todo hecho con productos cultivados y recogidos por ella. ¡¡Una comida fantástica!! Después nos han venido a buscar en coche y ya estamos en el micro autobús que nos lleva a Hanói. ¡¡Todo genial!!! Muy muy recomendable :)

EDIT: I contacted the company and they were genuinely concerned and were extremely kind and considerate of my experience. I think they do have the customer’s best interests at heart, and my situation was perhaps just an isolated incident. DO NOT RECOMMEND. Money hungry company that will lie just to get you to book. My tour to Sapa from Hanoi with this company was one of the worst tours I’ve ever been on. I’ve traveled in Vietnam before and been to over 50 countries. I can confirm that this company’s tours are grossly overpriced. I also do not recommend Sapa in general. The entire area is full of trash. The hikes we did with Friends Travel were on cement roads littered with ramen noodle wrappers. Really disgusting. We walked through landslide risk areas and at times the paths were gone due to landslides. It wasn’t really safe at all. The bus ride to Sapa was horrendous. It was two hours longer than stated and I wasn’t allowed to choose my seat. I’ve never slept somewhere so uncomfortable. Even an airport is better. Do yourself a favor and save your money.

Quite simply, the best travel company there is! Excellence came as standard, from start to finish they were there for me. 24/7 support only a text message away. I got lost, they knew where I was and where I needed to be. I changed my accomodation at the last minute, no problem they re arranged my pickup. I cancelled tours at short notice, no problem , they offered alternatives. Throughout my wonderful journey accross the north of the country even though I travelled alone I felt that I had Friends.. Literally. If you want seamless travel ran by a dedicated team who are in it for the love of the job more than the money then this is the travel company for you. I can give no higher praise than to say thank you so much guys, my holiday of a lifetime would not have been possible without you all and I look forward to seeing you all again soon. Gisteren hebben we de fietsroute mogen testen voor Friends Travel Vietnam. Ondanks dat ik zelf geen grote fan ben van georganiseerde fietstochten doen, was dit een erg leuke ervaring. Met deze 3 uur durende fietstocht kwamen we op plekken in Hanoi waar we zelf nooit heen zouden gaan of aan zouden denken. We kwamen op de rustige plekken in Hanoi waar je even een heel ander beeld krijgt van de drukke stad. We hebben een paar stops gehad om wat van het lokale eten te proberen en om een paar leuke foto’s te maken. Onze gids wist genoeg te vertellen over cultuur en omgeving en op deze manier is het (juist omdat de Tour niet té lang is) een heerlijke invulling van de dag. Bedankt Sidney en team voor de leuke ervaring!

We went to this agency because we saw very good comments on the internet and the truth is that it was a success. Thao and his team gave us a warm welcome. They organized a tour for us through Sapa, Hanoi, Ninh Binh and Phong Nha since our demands were rural and nature tourism. Thao gave us very good support from WhatsApp and was always attentive to us and our comforts. We were unlucky with the weather one day in Phong Nha and she changed our flight, hotel, etc. I wish every time I travel for tourism I had a travel agent like her. Wat hebben wij genoten deze dag. In de ochtend hebben wij een fietstocht door Hanoi gemaakt met Phong. Hij was als een fietsende encyclopedie en wist van alles te vertellen en had op iedere vraag een antwoord. Ook de flexibiliteit van de gids is geweldig. Zonder problemen werd de tour aangepast omdat wij plaatsen die de excursie aandeed al hadden bezocht. In de avond een food tour gedaan met de gids Cherry. Naast het geweldige eten hebben we ook genoten van de gids. Wat een leuke meid is dat. Kortom een geweldige dag verzorgt door een geweldige touroperator en begeleidt door geweldige gidsen

Dung was very kind, responsive and helpful. He offered free coffee (a good one!) and free laundry service. We booked all the transportation through him (Tam Coc, Sapa, halongbay). You may get a cheaper price if you book it yourself at around 11usd, but the convenience was worth another couple dollars. The sapa tour they arrange was nice, but less authentic then I've expected. Obviously conditions were medium level, but it's part of the experience :) Not sure if it worth 185usd/p though. Do your research :) you can see some sapa tour pics attached.

Wij (Nancy en Mario) hebben onze hele 23-daagse reis geboekt met Friends Travel Vietnam en het was geweldig. Zonder uitzondering was elk hotel, gastgezin, reisverbinding en activiteit geweldig. After feeling overwhelmed by the number of Halong Bay cruise options we researched, we immediately felt like we were in good hands after sitting down with Dung. Booked a cycling tour from the agency straight after I landed. I was in a small group with 2 other people, and Leo made the experience enjoyable. We went to a temple, St Joseph’s Cathedral, “The Eiffel Tower”, and stopped by a dessert place to try Vietnamese delicacy. Some hidden surprises along the way! Cycling around Hanoi is definitely not for the faint-hearted, however you’ll feel safe in the hands of the guides at Friends Travel Vietnam.

The best place in Vietnam if you want to organise your travel! They organised all my travel to sapa, halong bay and the Ha Giang loop, all was perfect! The transfers, the food, the hotels, and the communication super good! Dat, one the guy who work in the office, was really nice, friendly and always willing to help, I forgot my kindle in a bus and he went to the place to collect it! Super recommend! ❤️

Hoewel wij eigenlijk via LocalVietnam een aantal dingen geboekt hadden, bleek in Hanoi dat FriendsTravelVietnam de zaken regelde. Dat was geen probleem, want ze waren fantastisch. Activiteiten, tours, hotels, chauffeurs en treintickets: het was allemaal prima geregeld. Het WhatsApp contact verliep zo soepel dat ook ter plekke dingen makkelijk nog extra geboekt konden worden. Ik raad ze iedereen aan.

Did a morning bike tour with these people last week, it was great fun and included a phô lunch at the end. You need to be a skilled and confident rider though- the traffic and roads can be tricky.
