Super popular gay club in Taipei, maybe the most popular. Don’t go before 11, as it will be almost empty. The standard beverage is reasonably priced cheap beer like Budweiser cans. People don’t go for drinks though. It’s for the atmosphere which is dancing your heart out. Smoking is permitted inside, so be aware of that. If you have a group, you can get a table. The dance floor is downstairs with a calmer atmosphere upstairs that looks down over the dance floor. Kpop hour is around 12, during which you can see lots of guys on stage dancing to kpop hits. Go with a group if you can. Going alone might be a bit awkward, but if you do, joining a group could be pretty easy. Entry is 400NT, but comes with two beers, so not too bad. The party goes late here, finishing around 5AM. Always a super fun stop on Friday or Saturday in Taipei.

Came here twice in December, on a Friday and a Saturday, and had great times both times. The club was jam-packed with local guys in their 20s and 30s, with a few ex-pats and tourists in the mix, definitely a lot of cuties. When I say jam-packed, it is almost uncomfortably so (i.e. you can barely move), especially on the dance floor after 2am. The crowd was fairly tamed and cliquey earlier in the night (groups of friends at tables keeping to themselves), but once the dance floor filled up (around 2am), the place got pretty wild and boys get much friendlier. The cover charge was quite reasonable, NT$500 that comes with two drinks ($250 is the price for additional drinks anyway, so it is essentially free cover with a 2-drink minimum consumption).

We arrived at 11:20 and the waiting line was already three-block long. We gave up after 15 min waiting. Anybody want to check out the place better come real early (like 8pm ) to secure a spot. Update : I got into the club by going 2 hour early (at 9pm; the official event starts at 11pm). By 11:45, there 's still NOTHING, no dancer, just random people try to dance to make the most out of the expensive ticket (1000$ for a guy , w 2 free drinks). People got bored, try to kiss/hug other and caused a scene. NOT worth your time If you've ever visit Silom soi 3 in Bangkok, it's wayyy more fun

The 500NTD cover includes two drinks, but the service was garbage. Arrived at 11pm, stayed until 12am during Pride. Generic house music until the Kpop started, smokey from cigarettes, small dance floor for the cover they charged, and a line of 300 people waiting outside to get in when we left. I dont understand the hype. No one was dancing. There too early? Maybe dont charge a cover if nothing happens until 1am. I saw videos of the place after we left and it def picked up, but it still left a sour taste in my mouth. Just garbage house music waiting for something better...

Totally not-recommended. I will NOT go there again nor recommend anyone.. The taste of the DJ is just the opposite of good to me. The so-called K-POP/ Asian POP turned out to be partly old-fashioned remix of Taiwanese songs, not really danceable. The dancing pool is small. Music is terrible. The WORST THING is they clear the stage when you can finally have a bit fun dancing on stage, and they have a group of boy dancers dance their arranged girl dance. Boring and a turn-off. I spent 500 NTD to get expelled from the stage twice and turned off by their official performance.

WORST PLACE EVER. An ideal place if you're looking to waste your time. After reading many review we've decided to visit g star on a friday night at 12am. It was kinda pricy and cost 500 for man and 800 for woman. Sadly, we were so disappointed to see that the entire dance floor was empty, it was me, my friend and the selector up until 1am. The bartenders were'nt nice and the music was noisy electronic Kpop. We waited until 2:30am before we left just becuase we didn't have the heart to leave the selector alone. I had to leave after going inside because the club is so filled with toxic Cigarette smoke I felt sick and had to go outside to recover.... it would Have been nice to stay longer because I was talking to a nice guy but so disappointed that I felt sick from the smoke inside. I had to tell him I need to go outside because 1 in every 2 people are smoking inside with no extraction fans to take the smoke out... such a bad experience for such a nice club. Wish I could have stayed inside and bought more drinks.... maybe the laws will never change in Asia.

he asks for an ID at the reception.. the guy hasn't even looked at my date of birth.. after that you have to queue for the bar 20 minutes of waiting and the Entrance ticket allows you to have a consumption but it does not offer everything so you have to add money according to the glass chosen and for just a beer you have to go to the end of the bar.. in fact you have locations depending on the drinks... in short it the organization is weird...the music is local and it smokes inside...in short, I won't be back.also only cash..no Crédit card

Popular dance club in Taipei. Arrived after midnight and the crowds were just starting. Western music was played initially however that changed to K Pop a bit later in the night. This was very popular with dancers showing their moves on the stage. Entertaining to watch. Cover charge of NT500 gets you in the door and a couple of beers or a big mixed drink. It was very strong. Many smokers and you will go home smelling like an ashtray however if you dont mind, it will be an enjoyable night.

Very bad experience. The staff is very impolite with foreigners (no smile, rude answers at questions) ! Even the price is different for us. Just because we are white (My Korean friend paid same price as Taiwanese so that's racist). If you come here alone you will feel boring because everyone stay in a table and no talk with strangers. I will never come back here. It's expensive and you can only breath the smoke of cigarettes. Abrazo is free and much more better !

A really terrible terrible place. The staff are rude, they have a high cover charge and they didn't even bat an eye when we told them it was my friend's birthday and they said it was the same price. There is a lot of k-pop and a lot of young boys but unless you like minors it is not worth you time and $$

This is a fun club with a happy and friendly atmosphere. It's also pretty popular and gets crowded at the weekend. If you plan to go you should know that smoking is allowed (and it seems like everyone smokes there) and the selection of drinks is a little limited. Other than that it's a great night out!!

This is a great bar. Cover 500 TWD which can be redeemed for drinks, equivalent to 2 cocktails. Lots of young local boys and girls. Expats are the minorities which make the experiences better. Friend staff who play with strict rules irrespective of color and nationality. So please be respectful of rules

The warm up DJ's music is bad. It just ruin the mood. Your ticket is for 3 beers. They said we can change 2 beers for a cocktail, i thought it will be a good cocktail, no its not. Just stay w your beer. The staffs, not friendly. Bad experience for a first-timer. Not going back.

Full of people but no one was dancing until around midnight lol I didn’t enjoy much of kpop playlist but hey that’s the trend. What can you do lol After staying here for about 3 hours I smelled like an ashtray other then that all good.

Nothing happens here. I think it will shut down soon. Don’t bother visiting as it’s waste of time. We went at 10:30pm and there was not a soul in sight. They were cleaning the place and it smelled bad. No music, no DJ, nothing.

The staff aren't always friendly, the price is steep, and they always play the same music (kpop). But... This is still the busiest and arguably the best gay club in Taipei, plenty of people have a great night here.

Went there on a Friday night. By 12:15AM, nothing was happening at the club. No entertainment, no DJ, no MC, nada. Boring. Not worth the entry fee of NT 350 ($12 USD) which gets you one watered down drink.

The venue resembles DJ Station, Bangkok. Packed on Friday and Saturday nights. People are friendly. NT$500 for entry and two drinks. Drinks tastes sugary which surely energise you for the whole night.

FUN is the best way to describe G Star. It’s always a good night and the drinks are good. If you like K Pop and dancing, you have to go. I’d give 5 stars but you can smoke indoors which I don’t like.

I always had a great time there, newest songs, and nice vibes. They always have good shows every Fridays and Saturdays. As I am a guest there, those staffs were nice to me, feel welcoming there.
