In short, Grey is undoubtedly my favorite cafe in Queens, providing the perfect balance between a social and a study cafe. The menu items I ordered in the past exceeded my expectations and were consistent—meaning each time I purchased an item, it tasted just as good as the last, no matter which staff member prepared it. The lattes here are exceptional, not only in taste, but in presentation as well. The barista, Yong, is very talented and creates the most unbelievable latte art! To summarize briefly, other places pale in comparison to Grey but for those who care for a more detailed review, please read below: More often than not, I find myself returning to Grey Cafe several times a week as Grey provides the most fitting environment for me to complete my work. In terms of layout, there is a lower section on the ground floor where music is playing at a reasonable volume and an upper section void of music for those who prefer to work in the absence of sound. The lower section is spacious with several sizable tables providing a suitable space for larger groups (or for those who enjoy working in the close proximity of strangers). Single smaller tables also line the walls of the cafe with numerous outlets located beneath the seats. In the upstairs seating area, there are even more outlets present, a comfortable couch, and a second bathroom. I personally like the upper level for writing leisurely or painting and the lower level for studying or completing homework assignments. In terms of the menu items, Grey has a wide variety of drinks to choose from along with some dessert and sandwich/bagel options. Some of the drinks that I highly recommend are the Maple Latte, Lavender Latte, Coffee Cream drink, Affogato and Matcha Latte. If you order the lattes to stay, a barista named Yong can pour the most wonderful latte art designs. I got a monkey last time which made my drink even more enjoyable because it was so pleasing to look at! The presentation leaves me astonished every time. They also offer an Acai bowl which I am fond of because it is refreshing and made to order, coming with a variety of toppings like strawberries, blueberries, bananas, chia seeds, ect. (as you can see in the pictures included). A favorite dessert of mine is their delicious homemade puddings which come in 3 flavors: banana, matcha, and tiramisu for around $5.99, I believe. The banana pudding at Grey closely resembles the one sold at Magnolia Bakery, just more conveniently located—it is a must try! In terms of the staff members, Grey has the most accommodating and hospitable workers behind the counter. I have never had a negative encounter or trouble customizing my order which I greatly appreciate. All in all, if you have never been to Grey, try it out one day!

Recently had the pleasure of checking out this great cafe. I didn’t know what to expect coming into this cafe. It was a block away from my normal go to place but I wanted to see why this cafe had high reviews. I’ve been privileged to checkout other cafes in the area and inside the city for lattes or pastries, but for the most part, it was to be productive. I also think it’s quite difficult to find the right balance of ambiance, food/drink and the usual visitors to get the right level of comfort for a visitor to be productive. Glad to say this is one of the exceptions. The interior wasn’t fancy or decorative. It was just comfortable and cozy. It didn’t have the best of interiors but just good enough for one not be conscience about it. Majority of the guest i observed were there working or studying. The cafe had some outside seatings and two inside seating areas. The main seating area was on the level of the service counter. Most of the seatings were comprised of small tables, ideal for one or two people, spaced not too much apart and a large bench. The second level was a small elevated area where labeled for groups of “4 or more”. When I arrived at the cafe, there were no seats on the main level but the staff quickly took notice at the situation and guided me to the group area where there were available seats. Guessing the “4 or more” rules only applies when there are open seats on the main level. They had a lot of great selections for drinks and desserts. Being able to have variety of selections to try and enjoy while spending your day working and studying, makes this place a must for anyone looking for a good cafe to be productive. I think it’s the combination of food, drinks and people that makes this place a delight. I had an iced latte and a matcha pudding. They were both great. As for my personal experience, this place ranks among the top for being the most productive and comfortable setting in the area. Would recommend this place to work or study but would not recommend for a romantic date.

Oh my goodness! I can't contain my excitement! This place is an absolute gem! The coffee here is beyond incredible. As someone who prides themselves on being a connoisseur of oat milk flat whites, I have to say, this coffee is nothing short of perfection. And don't even get me started on the pastries! We indulged in a mouthwatering muffin and a homemade chocolate chip cookie that was out of this world. The flavors were simply amazing, and everything tasted so fresh. But you know what truly blew me away? The service. Paul, the mastermind behind Grey, was an absolute delight. He went above and beyond to make our experience unforgettable. He even treated us to samples of his delectable puddings - banana and earl grey. Let me tell you, they far exceeded our wildest expectations. We chose to sit outside, and it was absolutely charming. But I must say, both the interior and exterior of the place were just adorable. If you're on the hunt for a coffee spot that will blow your mind, look no further. This place is simply exceptional.

I ordered through grub hub. first I want to say I was craving an almond croissant and wanted a matcha latte to help with my cramps. I usually go to starbucks for these two things but they’re overrated and believe cafe food is better honestly bc they put more care into it, especially small owned cafes. So I ordered a almond croissant pumpkin muffin and iced matcha latte with oat milk and vanilla. 20/10!!!! I was shocked with how good it was because I never got matcha from anywhere but starbucks but it was delicious! the pumpkin muffin was sooo good. I wanted to get the chocolate but read another review about how the pumpkin was good and it definitely was. The almond croissant was delicious too but tasted chocolate in it also. not sure what that was about but it was good. Either way both are BETTER when warmed in the microwave for a few seconds. Definitely recommend and will be going here instead of starbucks.

Update- tea latte was good and the macaroons were a delight especially the earl gray and lavender . Lots of patrons on Thanksgiving! We are new in the area and was looking for a night coffee and dessert after dinner. We found this cute cafe along Northern Boulevard . Staff behind the counter were very nice. I enjoy cappuccino with cheesecake and am so happy to find that they serve Junior's cheesecake . Unfortunately their machine wasn't cooperating when we arrived. The lady manager was so apologetic and wanted to make it up because we waited for the machine to get fixed. However it was no big deal for us. Nevertheless she insisted and oh boy, the coffee she served was excellent. I thought I was in one of Manhattan's coffee shops. Anyway, she gained a regular patron. We will come back for sure. They have a lot of desserts to choose from. Highly recommended.

Things I loved about this cafe - 1. They have very good covid safety measures in place, seating is spaced well. 2. Even though the decor is dark, they’ve made it trendy and sophisticated, has a more mature vibe. Super clean. 3. They have a seperate section for groups. 4. Pricing is reasonable. 5. Staffs are very polite, prompt and professional. 6. Easy parking. 7. Stroller friendly. 8. Sustainable packaging. We ordered chai lattes ($5, medium), almond croissant and banana pudding. I advise you go with a plant based milk (+75c) for the chai as it was kinda heavy, though it wasn’t too sweet and enjoyable. The croissant was kinda meh. The banana pudding ($6.50) was good but they need to find better quality wafers, they had a weird powder texture that was ick. The ambiance was enough to compensate for these minor issues, I still think it’s worth a visit :)

The café had great ambiance, which matched their food. The staff and service was superb and made the experience of being there worthwhile. The drinks I ordered were an Iced Caramel Macchiato and a Grey's Signature Tea Latte (iced). The snack I ordered was a Lemon Matcha Loaf. Every item I ordered was flavorful and tasty. The Tea Latte was very strong, even an hour after when the ice had melted. The Caramel Macchiato's espresso was smooth, which helped bring out the rich caramel flavor. Finally, the Lemon Matcha Loaf was airy, and had a lovely, delicate crumb. I was able to taste the matcha throughout the loaf, which enhanced the sweetness of the lemon. I would go back during a less busy hour, if I have the chance to.

Been wanting to try this place. We came here long time ago (way before pandemic) and it was more like a art gallery back then. I was most impressed with the staff and my drink. The cashier was polite and efficient. We got 3 drinks. Moved to the side to wait for our drink and 2 minutes later, 2 baristers/staff behind the bar checked on us to make sure we were not waiting too long for our drinks. They were friendly and warm. We got a Latte, Americano and a Iced brown sugar Freddo (a new one for me) with oakmilk. My freddo was beyond... rich and creamy, flavorful and just the right amount of sweet. It was perfect.

Very nice staff. When I went there, there were 3 staff members working. I'm not sure if maybe some of the staff were still new and didn't have enough experience or if the cafe is simply understaffed for their volume of orders for the weekday morning I was there. It took 3 minutes of standing at the register before anyone was available to take my order (thats fine, nothing wrong there) and then another 11 minutes for me to get my order of a hot Americano (just black , no bells or whistles). The Americano was acidic to say the least. On a scale of 1 to 10, it had 0 zero smoothness. The cafe itself is very aesthetically pleasing and the staff was very nice. If you are stopping by on a lazy morning with a book or a friend, it would be a lovely trip. If you are on your way to work and stop by for a coffee or breakfast, maybe not.

Best coffee place in the Bayside area. I'm a regular and come here 1-2 times a week to work or hangout with my fiancee. Great atmosphere, coffee, and staff. Great place to work, do homework, have a good drink, etc. --- I ordered the wrong "grey" latte (I ordered the "grey foam latte" which has coffee instead of the "earl grey" latte which just has tea) and when I went up to the counter to ask if they would switch the drink for me, the employee said I'd need to pay for another one. Completely understandable and also disappointing since it was an $8 drink. I mixed up the drinks since the names were similar and didn't want the caffeine from the coffee so late at night. Not a big deal.

Ive only had the yogurt from there. It was good. Whenever I went there, I would get the green tea latte and the late. The latte is good and the quality of the matcha could be better but it's a coffee shop not a tea shop so I understand. The coffee there is good quality but the atmosphere is the true Star of the cafe. Their inside seating is spacious and comfortable. Their outside seating varies in style. There are semi enclosed outdoor seating, there are tents for shade, there are tables and chairs of all sorts decorated tastefully with plants and lights creating an atmosphere that shelters you from the busy streets of northern Blvd. Seriously, you will greatly notice that you're just on the sidewalk. Wonderful place to have coffee and hang out.

Grey Café is an excellent café if you want to relax and hav good coffee as well as pastries, cheesecake, and ice cream. The offer a unique collection of food. The family and I had just finished watching a movie and it was a little late, but the good news was that Grey Café was open till 11:00 PM, when most close at 10 PM. The place is large and the main area allows people to bring their laptops and have a nice casual time while they eat. There’s also another room which caters to groups. If you want a nice relaxing time with a nice atmosphere you can’t go wrong with Grey café. The food is good the people are nice and we give it a five rating.

This is a really cute spot!!! I was surprised to see it packed out at 8:30pm on a Friday night! They have the main floor seating, upstairs seating for groups 4 or more and outdoor seating as well!The staff were incredibly welcoming and engaging. Unfortunately, I only had the Lemon Ginger Tea w/Honey which was perfect! My sister, however, had the Ham and Cheese Croissant and the Macaroons which she said was amazing! I’ll definitely be back again to try some of their pastries. They had a few vegan options which I really appreciated! Not to mention, everything looked super fresh and yummy!

LOVED IT HERE. This cafe is probably one of my favorites. One of the best kept and cleanest I’ve been to so far in Bayside. The vibe is really cool, and the service was incredible. I enjoyed my time here. The baristas were sweet and extremely attentive to my questions. It’s such a cool place to relax, do some work, read for a bit, hangout with friends, go on a casual date, etc. Parking isn’t available but there are metered parking around the area, and street parking if you don’t mind looking.

There are close to 25+ cafes currently on northern blvd. I think its a Korean thing? New cafes opening every single Day. After trying all 25 cafes GREY cafe hands down is the best one. Their coffee taste amazing they really put love into their drinks. Staff: the staff is my favorite part of GREY young fresh hip Staff that cater to customers always Atmosphere: ample amount of room, not just inside but outdoor space as well. There's a spot for everyone. Music: Always fresh, new, very mainstream, clean. Rewards: GREY has a rewards program by punch card, by an X amount and the next is on them. Seriously SKIP all the other CAFES. Come to GREY you want regret it!!!

I’ve been going here for the past 2 months to study and do work. I love the atmosphere and coffee here, and service is always with a smile which can’t be beat. It gets busy but they have tons of seating and 2 bathrooms since we all know what coffee can do so that’s appreciated. I do wish they had a grilled cheese on the menu and more vegi options for food. The barista did make me a cheese croissant without it being on the menu u so that was very nice of them. Iced Caramel latte with Oat milk is my go to.

I usually come here during the summer to work while kiddo is at her summer program for a few hours. It's one of my favorite cafes to work / hang out at. Food, drinks, atmosphere is great and most importantly, strong wifi ☺️. There are plenty of seats and outlet along the wall. One large bathroom that's kept clean. Love the coffee and tea selections here! The earl grey latte is a MUST HAVE and the staff is so friendly and helpful in explaining all of the delicious choices. I've been to Grey multiple times and I've never had an issue with them. The other day, I was served a latte with some milk that went bad but only realized it upon my next destination. I reached out to them, and they apologized through Instagram and offered a complimentary one my next time there. And I got it! On top of that, the manager apologized in person, and offered any thing else on the side. AND on top of that, the owner came out to do the same. EXCELLENT customer service. Will continue to support this local business and I hope you guys will too!

Grey Cafe in Flushing is very welcoming and familial. Sunny, the owner, is affectionately called ‘Aunt’ by her staff, welcomes everyone with a radiant smile. My brother and I ordered two matcha lattes. While working there, Sunny treated us to two additional chai lattes. The presence of her family adds to the familial ambience. A visit to Grey is not just café experience, it’s like joining a loving family gathering. Truly a 5-star gem! ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Cute cozy urban cafe with two floors. Staff is very friendly. I had an iced chai latte with oat milk and cinnamon. It was delicious and would definitely recommend. I ordered here for the first time today. I ordered an iced pumpkin spice latte which was soooo good. My only issue is that it was not as pictured on door dash. Nonetheless it was delicious. I also ordered a banana pudding which was not very good. The pudding was a very watery consistency and there were only a few wafers inside, which were melted and soggy. Being that the banana pudding is listed as their #2 best seller, I expected better. Hopefully they can improve this for the future.

The decor and ambiance of GREY Cafe is really chill and cozy. We were attracted by the great smell of their coffee every time we passed by. When we heard that they serve pastries from Balthazar, which is one of my favorite bakeries in NYC, we decided to give it a try. We ordered their Almond Croissant, Cranberry Scone and 2 cups of Hot Latte. The croissant and scone were good, just not as fresh as what we had, which was a little disappointing. Their Hot Latte was delicious with good portion and reasonable price.

I went there hoping it would look as pristine as it looked in review pictures but, to my disappointment it wasn’t even cleaned up from the day before. The staff was super sweet, no complaints about service. I just wish the seating is improved and cleaned up.

The only place in the eastern part of queens that meets the vibe check and is a comfortable place to work for a long period of time. Great quality of coffee and food. The staff is very nice, talented, and welcoming. I've tried to go to other cafes but nothing compares to Grey Cafe. First time trying out this cafe since the renovation and really like the new interior design! The spacing is nice to meet up with people and study as well. I tried the turkey sandwich and it was better than I expected. I like how the bread was soft and complemented the cheese and sauce proportionately. The hazelnut latte was recommended and tasted great as well. Would def come here often!

Fantastic! Me and my friend haven’t seen each other in a bit, so I invited her out for some coffee; ordered two drinks, we both had a Matcha Frappe, absolutely delicious!!! WiFi was excellent, and the atmosphere is good. Definitely recommend if you want to invite a couple friends over for some coffee, or just want to chill and do some work or even just play some games!

Grey Café is without a doubt, one of the best coffee shops in Queens, NY. Original products and the best coffee taste in Gotham City. The customer service is so warm and superb, starting with John in the front desk. I would say that Grey Café will always find a way to surprise you in different ways. If you’re looking for a real coffee with a barista hallmark, this is your place.

I've been there so many times, and it is a great place. Staff and owner are super friendly and wilk assist and provide suggestions. Go there and you won't be disappointed. Love it

This cafe is my fav place to come to study. But the only reason it doesn’t get a 4+ is because of how loud the music is. I am currently sitting here with noise cancelling headphones trying to study and I can still hear the music through it. I have to ask my study partner to talk over the music for me the hear. Love this place. Coffee’s great. Ppl are nice. Ambiance is chill.

Love this place. Not only do they make great iced and hot drinks, but their desserts are so good. It’s difficult to get really good gluten-free sweets without sacrificing either texture or taste but they have cracked the code. Whether in-store or getting delivery, your order is delish and quick.

Lovely place, drinks are ok nothing special but this is just a normal cafe with extra decorations. Nice plenty seat & cute setup outside for a nice day. Staff wasn’t as friendly when I was there. was giving don’t bother me vibes.

Chagaccino is delicious. The flavor was perfect, strong and slightly sweet and the perfect amount of creamy. Love the ambiance and staff were really nice and helpful too.

Very nice vibe. Lots of seating. They have a lower level, upper level and outdoor seating. I ordered a signature drink. It was a iced cafe crème with oat milk and a warmed pumpkin muffin. They accept Apple Pay. The decor was industrial and the music was chill. They have sandwiches, açaí bowls, bagels, avocado toast and plenty of pastries to choose from.

The owners are extremely kind and down to earth. They were so welcoming, the staff were attentive and great. I was a little skeptical to visit as I wasn't the biggest fan of the previous Cafe at this location, but Grey Cafe transformed the space into a more efficient, aesthetic space. The bingsoo cups were very good, definitely worth trying

It wasn't busy at the time. The food was good. Mainly pastry snacks. A place to sit and chill out to music and some drinks. During the day its mainly used for Wi-Fi access. At night its used for small get together.

Pastries there are good, espeically the cheese danish! Sandwiches are pre-made and not as good. I loved my mocha frappe until both me and my boyfriend found pieces of soft plastic inside of the drink so we ended up throwing out our drinks. I’d come back here if this was based on flavor and ambiance, but the plastic was a huge disappointment.

Went for the first time yesterday. Staff is absolutely incredible. I think the manager was there yesterday- and she definitely leads by example. My matcha was yummy and not grainy! I literally stayed until closing to study and no one bothered my friend or I to get out lol! Will be back!

Very nice cafe that's spacious. Great vibes, plenty of seating room and space. Outdoor and indoor experiences available here. Variety of menu options, along with canned cocktails and beer. Love the caramel macchiato , food is alright. Overall highly recommend.

This is not a cafe or coffee shop. This is a library where you will see everyone is studying on their laptop. If you go there in the evening to have some chat with your friends; you will feel extremely uncomfortable. Service is great but the atmosphere is not friendly at all.

I’ve been coming here for a while. The food is pretty good. The service is great. Today, Nicole was pleasant and patient. So was the guy that prepared our drinks. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing. I’ve come here after work as well to do some work. Overall, a great place.

Enjoyed a quick macchiato here, the coffee was very good, a nice balanced roast, not too acidic as many new lighter roasts can be. The one thing keeping me from a five was the price, I spent nearly $5 on this macchiato and the drip coffee was also $4.

About 6 workers, placed my order for a coffee- it’s not out till 20 mins later for the barista to tell me that they ran out of my drink. She asked if I wanted something else- I said no assuming I would just be refunded but she goes to the back and proceeds to make the drink that was out of order?

First time trying both items and was very impressed with the bingsoo. Would say it's on the pricier side compared to the size but I would definitely come back for it. They layered it well so every bite has mango syrup and toppings.

Very busy here. Really cute inside, there are enclosed areas outside to sit as well with very cute decorations. The chai was a bit milky for my liking but the pumpkin muffin and almond croissant were a delicious afternoon snack.

Nice vibe. but bring a coat for some odd reason they keep the other door completely wide open in the middle of winter. It’s freezing! seen a lot of customers put their coats back on while studying. Love the music though

This place is great! They have delicious vegan desserts and their acai bowls are AMAZING!! They are big and packed with delicious fruits and oats. I never knew they made them until today and I wish I knew earlier. Other places in the neighborhoods don't make them as good!! Give them a try!

I waited and waited and waited to order a cup of coffee while the young lady behind the counter had a long, drawn out social chat with the customers in front of me. Oh, there were five other staff members milling around. Went to Cafe Oasis and was immediately served.

Chai latte season is starting now. Wow their oat chai lattes are amazing. Super delicious. They have some pretty good cappuccinos too. Order the Belgium chocolate chip cookie- wow super yum. I used to come here when it was Browny. I can’t wait to try their affogatto.

I don’t leave reviews but this place deserves it. I have never had a bad experience. They deserve the good ratings that they have. Keep it up guys.

Had a chai latte with cinnamon— was delicious! Good place to study, but make sure to bring headphones to block out the music and occasional blender noise, they have plenty of seating too! Some outlets as well.
