I've been going there for about 1.5 years now and I've always had the best experience with Jack and his team. I am a student and I'm not from Montreal at all, so I was a bit hesitant and nervous about going to a mechanic in the city (we all hear the stories!), but I've always felt like the work and the price they asked for were very honest. If something needs to be changed because of satefy issues, Jack tells me and offers me different options depending on the price. I never feel pressured to change anything that can wait. I think Jack's service is great, it *almost* makes me look forward to my next appointment! I plan to keep going there. ** Last weekend I had a problem with my car (making weird sounds when braking on highway, got me very worried), so I got my car towed to this garage knowing it would not open before monday morning. I went to give them my keys this morning and explained to them what the problem was and I had a diagnostic around 1pm. I don't suggest making a habit of showing up without an appointment but I was really happy with the service I received nevertheless. Turns out it was not a big deal at all and I got my car back at the end of the day, but I appreciate the fact that they took consideration of my concern. Thanks Jack!

First time using this garage today, and will come back again for future repairs! Dealt with Jack - gave a fast diagnosis of the problem with my car, and options on how to deal with it--from inexpensive option to full replacement. Good advice, honest dealing, and competent repair work. Highly recommend, and have passed on the message to others already to use this garage. Thanks Jack! EDIT below - For second visit to this garage, Nov. 9, 2021: Returned to this garage today for oil change and tire change to winter tires. Work done was fast and efficient--car was ready for pickup in ~3 hours. In addition to the requested work, the garage installed some new wiper blades that I had purchased elsewhere, but had left in the the car with the intention of installing them myself later. While this is a small job, the work was done without any mention nor any charge. To me, this is demonstrative of an attention to detail to customers--like small touches you might experience at a restaurant or hotel. Thanks again, Jack - I'll be back again!

I called ahead and asked how much would a oil change and coolant flush be and my reply was $40.00 for the oil + $50-60 for the coolant (depending on the size)= $100. I said great and i dropped my car off later that day. The next day i came in and my bill was $40.00 oil + 89.99 coolant + 42.74 for a sensor on a tire. Totaling =((((($172.69))))) Then the boss was no where to be found! i refused to pay. Firstly cause they went right ahead and touched my tires and broke a sensor and fixed it... What? Then overcharged my coolant flush by $30-40. The reason i choose this place was because it had good reviews and my quote was cheap. I ended up getting my car back by paying $150 and it came with overfilled oil (by over an inch on the dipstick). My tire pressure was 36psi on all the tires when its supposed to be 30 and they took out the sensor on my tire now so my car constantly alarms me something is wrong with the tire on the dashboard. Finally its over.. I took pictures of all the receipts. I would suggest not going here ever!

My windshield sprinklers were not working as the nozzles broke due to winter! I thought it was delicate work so I took my car to this garage! The man on the counter gave me an appointment for two days later without seeing the problem! I came back two days later, he sees the issue and tells me that he will have to order the nozzles from the dealership and it is 46$-77$ EACH (Excluding taxes)! I was unaware how much it will cost so I asked him to order it! He said he will call once the part arrives later that day! It has been a week, I have not received any call from them! Meanwhile, out of curiosity, I checked for the part on amazon and found THE PAIR of these nozzles for 15$ (delivered in 2 days even during holidays) and that I could replace them myself in 5 minutes! I just made the repair and saved myself atleast 120$! In a way I should thank them for not calling me back! Avoid this garage by all means, total waste of time and a complete rip off!!

J'ai commencé à pousser quand le prochain rendez-vous disponible était juste pour être accueilli avec plus de rires moqueurs. Je comprends que c'est la saison des pneus, mais vous devriez avoir une certaine intégrité et une raison de base pour ne pas rire d'un client potentiel. Pour votre information, je ne conduis pas souvent ma voiture et j'aurais bien aimé attendre un rendez-vous plus tard dans le mois. J'ai utilisé ce garage dans le passé mais je prendrai désormais mes services ailleurs avec plaisir.

Bon service, j'ai dû changer une roue et un pneu suite à un flat, ils n'avaient pas le pneu, ils l'ont commandé et je l'ai eu le lendemain. Ensuite, mon autre pneu du même côté commençait à dégonfler, à cause qu'une roue était bossée. Ils me l'ont débossée le jour même et cette histoire a été réglée en moins de 2 jours. Le prix est bien, l'employé qui était là était super gentil et il m'a bien expliqué le problème. Pour une étudiante ne venant pas originalement de la région de Montréal, j'ai été contente du service :)

Honest mechanics with fair prices. I have bringing my 300 000+ km Toyota Echo for oil changes and repairs at this garage for over a year now. If ever my car needs a repair, they always call to update me on how the work is going + cost of parts. They let me know when a fluid change or repair can wait, and when something needs to be done asap. Metro Namur or Plamondon are only a few minutes walk away, which makes getting around easier when you have to leave your vehicle there for a few hours.

I’ve been going to Garage Décarie for 3 years now and, I never felt like I should be spending more, that said, whether I had a small touch up or a bigger job, same care, same service and same efficiency every time.. As a woman I’m always a little skeptical about the services, honesty and prices at any but at Garage Décarie, especially where Jacques is concerned. I feel right at home and totally confident I’ll be satisfied, every time. I highly recommend Garage Décarie.

My family and I have been dealing with Jack and his associates for over 10 years now, many different makes of cars (Mazda, Nissan, Pontiac, VW). Always great quality service and gives trustworthy advice. Prices are better than most places and they will let you know when something is wrong or if it can wait. Like most garages it is best to call ahead and schedule an appointment, but they do offer emergency services as well. I recommend them to anyone looking for a great garage.

I got my winter tires installed here. Even though I did not have an appointment I took a chance and stopped to ask if they can do it today. Jack worked his magic and found a way so my tires were changed within the hour. I suggest calling ahead of time though (it’s going to start getting busy with winter tire season around the corner). I highly recommend them. Courteous and professional. I would rate them over 100% if I could.

I live in valleyfield and work at St-Mary's hopital. I lost a lug nut on my way and needed to replace it really fast. I called and they didnt have the piece with them but the owner ordered it and when I asked if we could replace it in the next 2hour he said yes and find a place for me. I arrived there: professional, sympathetic, fast and on time. in 10 min it was done. It's a nice place too! I recommend it

Jack the owner was rude..he wished me good luck to find someone to change my tires, elsewhere. I popped in INNOCENTLY before 9 am asking if they had a spot i would leave my keys all day 9-5 to change my winter tires. (I work next door) He kinda let me have it saying i had to respect an appointment. No problem my real mechanic Joseph said he will see me tmr:) No need to be rude with a customer.

I went to this garage because it is close to my place and also because it has good reviews. I did not like the people that work there and the way they were talking to me and the guys that were there. For me customer service is #1, very important and the way they were giving us the information and responding was very demining. I am sure I will not go back there!!!!

Stay away from these people. They are a total rip-off. I came for a wheel alignment, and it turned out to be bad control arms. They took $40+tax just to tell that without doing nothing. What's worse is they wanted $772.33 for two control arms replacement given that it's a 2001 car!!!!! Another garage did the replacement for $330 same exact parts.

I've been going to this place for about 1.5 year now and it's hands down the best place I've been to. Jacques does his best to help you avoid unnecessary repairs. There is never any pressure to do something that can wait 6 months if you can't afford it right away. I'll be going there for all my car maintenance needs from now on.

I have finally found an awesome mechanic. I switched to this place about 2 years ago thanks to the reviews on here after a couple of bad experiences with another garage nearby and I have no regrets. Jacques is honest and doesn't try to get you to spend more than you have to. I highly recommend this place!

Always a positive experience dropping off my car there. Fast, reliable and seems pretty honest to me, even though I'm not a car savant. He even went the extra mile into not resetting my car radio code while changing the battery, which is pretty darn impressive if you ask me! Keep up the great work!

I highly recommend Garage Decarie since the owner, Jack, genuinely cares about you and the proper maintenance and function of your car. I went for an oil change and he went above and beyond with the service. He helped me change the lights on my car as well. Super nice guy, would 100% go back.

I paid them to install new summer tires in my set of summer wheels. A year later, 3 of the 4 wheels are leaking air badly. It is not a problem in the tires or the Alloy Wheels. It was a inefficient installation. Avoid this guys, go to an accountable garage for tires.

Un 4.4 bien mérité d'après mon expérience. A trouvé un jour convenable pour le changement d'huile et traitement anti rouille. M'a même conseillé de ne pas le faire car il y avait de la pluie ; l'eau aurait défait le travail en partie.

I had to get my splashguard fixed ASAP, and I made an arrangement in the morning and they fit me enough to bring my car in the afternoon the same day. Was done quickly and efficiently and they were nice! Highly recommend!!

Called for a tire change appointment, got one the next day. Came in, they took about 20-30 min to change the tires, and they placed my summer tires in my car carefully with plastic. Great service!
