Gateway Fellowship Center is one of the best churches I've never been to and experienced the grace and holy spirit of the Lord. There is undoubtedly a great blessing from God upon this place. The lead pastor John Van Pay is a incredible leader and his teams are amazing, friendly and very engaging to their community. This is non-denominational church supported by the community and parted of Chi Alpha campus ministries (ΧΑ). The small groups are truly barebone of this church youth/family ministry. I enjoyed their company and community outreach. The leaders are great and they have such a big hearts for all new member and "lost sheep" of Christ. They have a awesome kids centers next to main congregation. I heard the student ministries is amazing. The moms love them. Only been in SA for a few months, I had to say this is a wonderful home church for everyone who seek and accept Jesus Christ salvation into their lives. Overall, this is a humble church and one of the fast growing churches or a "body of Christ" in San Antonio. I believe God is doing amazing work and discipleship in this area and beyond. There is a big oversea ministries that Gateway coordinates such as Russian, Vietnam, Mexico, Europe and Southern America mission trips. Come by and say hello to the amazing staffs and member. Even though I have been member of CHBC for about 5 yrs, our family have visited Gateway Fellowship Church several times. Gateway Fellowship Church is close to my neighborhood and less than a mile from home wich makes its location very convenient for my family: wife, son, daughter and myself. We don't have to travel a long distance. Gateway is a Christ Centered Church where the word of God is read, studied, preached, practiced and prayer is a priority. Gateway Fellowship Church is multicultural, multiracial. It has grown to 6 services including now one on Saturday at 5PM. Gateway has a great service in Spanish on Sunday at 5PM preached by pastor Mario after the outstanding worship.! Gateway Fellowship Church has one of the best WORSHIP!!!, SMALL GROUP and OUTREACH programs I have seen. Its leading pastor John Van Pay is a Godly man. He has delivered great messages every time we have visited. We feel welcome every time we visit and have been blessed with the word of God and prayers. I feel that we need to start by joining a small group. I am also praying to see if its the will of God to move to Gateway.

IT'S TOO DARK FOR ME. ❤ Gateway, however I strongly dislike the dark environment! I don't like that they have the lights off during teaching/sermon times. I don't mind that they are off during worship but I need light to read my bible or look at my phone to follow along with the pastors. I feel like I'm disturbing people around me with the brightness of my phone. I probably wouldn't mind, if it was only a couple of verses that I could follow on their display screen. However, when the pastors reference other side verses, they don't always put them on the screen and it's aggrevating! One of the pastors also made a comment, that people need to bring their bibles to church and I wanted to scream! LOL Like what for? We can't see the words, it's too dark in here!!! Anyways, this in my only complaint and what is keeping my family from making Gateway our home church. I find myself watching from home to avoid this problem.

I tried and tried and tried to get involved with this church. I called. I left messages. I sent emails. I sent correspondence thru the website. I begged so many people to help me. I was in a horrible place and very depressed and sad. Only once did anyone return my call and she made me feel like I was bothering her. I also received two emails in response to all mine. Neither offered anything except prayers. I tried desperately to find a church locally when we first moved to SA. I attended this church every Sunsay for 2 months. They weren't God centered. I tried. Not only did I not find a church but now I have no faith at all. I tried and fought to keep active in a church family because I knew my belief was fading. Oh well. This organization doesn't care. Why should I?

We’ve been moving a lot and as we settled in Texas we started to search for a church. Long story short we couldn’t truly find one that our family felt we belonged. That was until we found Gateway! The people are amazing, although I never really looked forward to church. At nine it just wasn’t interesting to me. As I got older though I found out about the youth group, and my parents brought me for the first time I fell in love. I made so many new friends on the first day, and I’m still learning how to become closer to God. Not to mention the camp for the youth I now can’t wait for. Gateway I couldn’t live without you. 100% recommended

My husband and I loved the Pastor but the music was very loud. You could feel the bass so much in your chest it was uncomfortable. The lights were also kept so low all throughout the service that when the Pastor asked you to open your bible to follow along, there was no point because you couldn't see the pages in front of you. If you like a churches that are concert churches then you will love this church, but for us the music being so loud and lights so dark this church isn't for us. We're bummed because since moving to San Antonio, this was the best Pastor we found.

Sad I joined this church for 5 years and devoted the most time I could as a single mom. It was never enough and my daughter and I were both turned away for volunteering and involvement due to life circumstances preventing us from attending what they thought was most important. I reached out multiple times to resolve the issues but no response. We have not been to church since. I have been a Christian and attended church my entire life but this church left us questioning everything.

My family and I have been attending Gateway for the past few months. I must say this, the atmosphere and the people are incredible. You can definitely sense the presence of God and the Love of people simultaneously. They love to share the Gospel of Jesus and their preachings are expositional thus far. I think that my family and I have found our new home were we are going to serve at. Looking forward to what the Lord has in store for us...

1st time here and..... Went to 9 AM service and honestly I think they are way too much into recieving then to providing the word to the Church. The message was delivered by the "Generosity Director". He spoke about a $120,000 pay cut , football, and his family. In addition to all that the 10 plus people on stage for worship was a lot. Music was loud and lights too dim to follow with my actual Bible.

I’ve been coming here since I’ve joined Chi Alpha at UTSA last year. The pastor, John Van Pay is one of the many people who have made me feel so welcomed. I’ve gotten to meet so many amazing men and women that are strongly rooted in Christ, since I’ve came here I have been able to rededicate my life. I want to thank everyone at Gateway for helping others to become devoted followers of Jesus!!!

I cannot adequately express how much Gateway has changed our family's life. It's awesome to be part of a church where you can see and feel a genuine love for each other and our Lord Jesus Christ. Gateway is a community of real people coming together to worship, build each other up and reach people in the community to spread God's love. My life has forever changed since coming to Gateway and learning more about Christ through the timely messages and modern delivery. This place actually teach my kids from the Bible during their service! My kids LOVE going every week and they preach only biblical truth! They emphasize small groups, and also preach some things that other churches seem to shy away from, like biblical fear of God and the importance of the Blood of Christ. If the truth is important to you, This is a great place to worship!

Absolutely love the messages provided and the service opportunities for the community to learn about the intensity of blessings that God provides to sinners that repent and show commitment to live in the Christian lifestyle. Love the support groups and everything about this place of worship. My boys love the kids adventure church and the fact that they pray is priceless!

I feel Gods Presence so strongly at this church!!! I've been looking for a church to grow spiritually and my walk with the Lord! The ladies inside the nursery are awesome I feel so comfortable leaving my baby there. I love how they use so much scripture!!!!!!! And encourage us all to bring our bibles!!! The pastors aren't afraid to speak the truth!!

I went to service this morning for the first time. I'm in the military and have just moved to the area and have been looking for a church with a wide diversity of people like my former church in Colorado Springs. I truly felt the spirit of God in this church and will definitely be going back!!

My family and I love going to Gateway. They make everyone feel welcome, they share the gospel, and they do a great job in helping you become a devoted follower of God. No pressure, just honest to goodness Love, community and family . Give Gateway a try, I promise you'll love it.

My boyfriend and I had auto issues. Had to pull over and do repairs. The people there at the church were a big help. The pastor gave my boyfriend a ride to the auto show for parts. Super friendly and helpful. If not for that ride, I don't know what we would have done!

Best church we have ever attended. They care about every person who attends and take the effort to know you personally. The staff is friendly, humble and passionate about Jesus. Highly suggest attending, especially if you have children. The youth program is amazing!

I visited last week and it was nice. Everyone was very welcoming and my three year old son liked the kids stuff. The music was a little too loud though and gave me a headache. I'm gonna give it another try and maybe sit further back to see if that helps.

Service was INCREDIBLE and right on time for me. The atmosphere was relaxed..and the worship was AMAZING! The heart of the pastor was genuine and his way of teaching was great. I will be back next week to continue in the lesson, and I cant wait!

It's home to all those who consider Christ their Lord and Savior. A place where God is worshiped, the lost find salvation and the saved are sent out to make disciples, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

I love this church. The pastor is amazing and so is the whole team. I feel at home and at peace when I'm there and so does my little one. We have been attending for several months now and are so happy we found this church!

Awesome worship band Godly lead Pastors, amazing youth and kids leaders, felt at home since day one! One of the things that impressed me on our first visit is that the program says : Lead Pastor Jesus Christ...love that.
