It's some of the students with whom I have to share this resource that knock my rating down to four stars. While most are kind and respectful of the people around them, there are those few kids who have to let everyone around them know they're cool because they're in college, now. Loudly. Obnoxiously. Intrusively. Library hours are sometimes inconvenient, and even though it's meant to prevent people from treating the building like a motel, during the day, it's impossible to find a seat because that's where some students go to sleep. You'll find some sleeping between shelves, too. Oh, and the elevators! I wish those of us who actually need to use them the best of luck getting to whatever floor they're going to. You'll have to battle a bunch of lazy kids for space. Staff are helpful. Quiet floors are usually quiet. Wouldn't be a bad place at all if it weren't for those few kids.

Everything I could ever want from a library. Though it is open to the public, it is closed to all but students during the weeks before finals. The loudest sound on the fifth floor is the air conditioning. The special collections department has some real treasures if you can go when their office is open. Overall an excellent place for students to study, with group rooms open for reservation, or solo desks for those that want to study or read alone. The CURVE on the second floor of the south building is excellent. 1.5 million dollars worth of technology only available to students or professors working on projects. Its the place to go to get stuff done.

*Update* They extended their hours, especially the weekends, awesome! Still no 24 hours but that's fine. This library has everything a student needs. The best things about it is that they have printers almost every corner of some particular floors, great. They have electronic stuff to rent or borrow, nice. Enough computers, mostly Windows but they have Macs too. The library bridge is an awesome touch to the building. Floors for different levels of noise, they get quieter as you get to the top. 5th floor has "zero noise" room! It's great if you wanna focus on studying or even sleeping!! Please no snoring lol!

**Facility**: 4 point. not enough lighting, tables not clean. trash on the floor, bathrooms are always messy. 1 point for finally they increased the temperature. 1 more point for the charging station. **Books**: 3.5 points. Many old books... Environment: students vape inside, laud noise sometimes even on the quiet floor. **Service**: 3 point. Security is slack and rude. staffs show lack of service spirit. Service desk always unattended. **Hours**: Fri-Sun hours not friendly for studying.. **Management**: <3 point. reactive management. For the library did not improve much over the years.

Beautiful library that used to be open until 2am and was very accommodating to non traditional students. As usual the new President of GSU continues to sell out the school to corporate interests at the expense of the student body. The library has been abruptly closing at 9pm in order to facilitate a consumer base for the new Zaxbys restaurant student lounge. This is unfair as it strips students of much needed access to public printing and computers. Of course Blake doesn’t care. It’s a shame what this once respectable school has come to since he has taken charge.

It’s a decent library in the city of Atlanta for both students and the public. As long as you have a government ID or passport you can get in. The first four floors are kind of distracting due to study groups; there are useful resources though especially on the 4th floor for PSYC and anatomy. On the other hand it’s a good place to meet new people as well. The first floor has many useful equipment free of use ranging from staplers to computers. On the 5th floor it’s quite and a nice place to study as shown in the photos.

As a PAYING STUDENT I am very disappointed in the staff here. The man with long hair told a nursing student to "look at the bulletins" to find her TEA's testing. Never once offeredto call and help a future life saving individual. Its disgusting how unhelpful the staff is. It took 2 trips to the library and finally the more helpful security staff says to try the office on the third floor . But for the man with long hair working behind the main counter should NOT work there

I love this library! There’s multiple floors, the higher up you go, the quieter it is. The parking at G deck is convenient too since there’s a bridge on the 2nd level that connects to the library, perfect if you have to stay late at night to study. Also, parking in G deck is $2 after 4pm during the semester, free on weekends. I’ve found a few ducked off places in here to study that we’re great. I’m going to miss this library when I graduate!

It's pretty nice, they have plenty of resources available to students. If you print something, there's hole punchers and staplers if you need them. There's white boards but you need to bring your own markers. The second and first floor is noisy (people eat on these levels and hold group study sessions, some are straight up talking on the phone) so if you're hoping for peace and quiet, try the 5th floor.

Library has horrible unaccommodating hours! A school of this size should have their libraries open 24 hours! They close very early and open really late somedays! Great source of resources but good luck trying to be studious when the library closes midway when the sun is still out! Forcing you to find another place of study!

I have never had a problem with the actual library faculty, but the students working can be a little bit rude. I know this isn't what they consider a 'real job' , but it would be nice to be acknowledged more politely when seeking help/service.

It is a really nice place to come in study. Especially early morning or late at night when there are not as many people around. The printing system is also very useful and is a tool I know I will use more later in the semester.

Very nice, clean library. You can schedule requests for meeting rooms, but they are kinda small. The higher the floor, the quieter it gets, so if you don't want to fall asleep, I recommend the lower floors.

  • Lisha Watson

Great but if you don't have a computer on your own and trying to study its impossible people make entirely too much noise . Library should be quiet on every floor but other than that great .

  • Greg Treadway

This is truely the center of campus. Everything revolves around this place. Easy to study and find everything you need here. If you're not sure about campus, go here and get your answers.

My only problem is the noise at times. the fifth floor is rhe quiet floor but at times people dont respect that and interfear with others ability to get work done.

  • Brian Rubin

Absolutely stunning library. Its a great place. The staff is ever so helpful. Really nice and peaceful atmosphere very conducive to learning and reading.

My best experience at GSU was in the study rooms. The view of the Decatur and Courtland Road from L201 is always worth it. Great place to study at.

  • GA State Student

Great place to study, or even relax between classes. Some of the furniture needs updating, but other than that it's a student hotspot.

  • Carol Kim

Very good library, well equipped, maintained and cleaned, quiet and very conducive for studying, good wifi, friendly staff. I love it.

  • Jessica Sanders

This is probably the best university library I have been to in GA and TX. It is visually stunning. What a well run library.

  • Peter Saddler

Excellent library with an awesome environment! Very quiet, tons of computers and you can even eat there also!
