After contacting at least 4 roofing companies here in Santa Fe, New Mexico and finding them way to expensive I was fortunate to try Gonzales and Sons Roofing located in Albuquerque. Two roofers I had tried set up appointments with me to come out and provide a quote. They did not show up or even call me at all. The other two I found out after getting a quote from Devin, who came out from Gonzales and Sons Roofing in Albuquerque, had provided quotes that were almost twice as much as the quote from Devin! He was on time for the appointment I scheduled with him and it took him literally minutes to climb on the roof and arrive at a quote I almost could not believe. He also said he would send out a crew that was very experienced and that they would finish most likely in two days to replace my roof. This was hard to believe as well but sure enough, it happened! A first crew came out on the scheduled day and removed the old roof pretty quickly and despite all the old roof tar, papering and gravel they removed, they left my yard and home nice and clean. The next crew that came out was just as efficient and clean and like Devin had told me, they did a great and quick job of installing my new roof and also left my yard and home very clean. It was amazing. Everything happened just like Devin said it would and I was not only impressed but very pleased with the results. Another thing that occurred was that the mailman failed to take a check I had arranged with Devin to mail in. I contacted Devin and he told me no problem, he would come out in a few days to pick up the check. Basically, I had a new roof completely installed and had not paid a cent yet but Devin's customer service skill allowed me to not worry and sure enough he showed up as he said he would to pick up the check with a smile and as previously told me to contact him for any reason. He was so responsive and accommodating. I just cannot say enough about my experience with Gonzales and Sons Roofing. I highly recommend anyone in Santa Fe needing a roof to save themselves considerable money by calling Gonzales and Sons Roofing. My review is long and wordy but it is because my experience has been that not often does one have this kind of experience these days with any company. These guys are great. I needed to help my mother find a reliable company for roof repairs and Gonzales and Sons Roofing is that company. The previous company offered to save her money with a patch and seal that promised 5 years of extended life and 5 years of warranty. Of course a year later when the patch failed resulting in expensive repairs to the ceiling below, the same company said it was a new hole and not under warranty. And of course they would be glad to come perform more costly repairs. Gonzales and Sons advertises multiple generations in the company and this is true. Looking back we realized they had been of service to my grandfather 20-30 years ago. I called Isaac (remotely from Montana) and found him very responsive and in earnest about helping my mother. They were out within a day to provide a quote. They were reasonably priced and completed the repairs within two weeks time. Bravo, team Gonzales!!! I work in a service/trades business and I know first-hand how difficult it is to meet the crush of demand in a timely manner. Everybody wants everything NOW so inevitably you'll hear from a disgruntled customer with complaints about timing. However, it is important to understand the their perspective and I assure you they are busting their tails to meet the needs of as many people as humanly possible. I strongly recommend this company. They have multiple generations of experience and provide a high-value service. Their prices were reasonable and I would just suggest this.....if you are comparing bids, even if they are 10-20% higher it is well worth the investment in having the work done once and done right. Gonzales and Son’s Roofing --- WOW!!! What can I say? This family-owned company has been the absolute best!!! Leo Padilla is a pleasure to work with; he is prompt, truthful and exceptionally reliable. Leo has numerous contacts for other work that might be needed around the house and around the yard – this guy knows his stuff! He does not over-sell any work; he makes recommendations and tells it like it is. He has gone out of his way to help us with our roofing repairs and planned for patch repairs inside the house with qualified staff. He also is great with follow-up; making sure we were happy with all the work. The guys that came out to help with the leaky roof after the big snowstorm were very friendly, explained the work, the material to be used and the time it would take to repair the flat roof. We are new to flat roofs and all the information provided from the guys and from Leo was very helpful and we gained lots of knowledge about flat roofs and their maintenance. The office staff is very professional and has been excellent to work with! I will keep Gonzales and Son’s Roofing on my HIGHLY RECOMMENDED list!!!!

This was our first re-roofing experience and I cannot offer enough praise for Gonzales and Sons Roofing for their professionalism, excellent quality work, and very responsive nature to all my detailed questions. We replaced our 30 yo tar and gravel roof with the new tech TPO membrane. Finding a company that specializes in installing this new technology is critical for long-term satisfaction and Gonzales and Sons definitely has the knowledge and skill to manage this new technology. Installation was perfect, all seams and connections were secure and weatherproofed. Skylights and vent pipes were carefully wrapped and secured, and all canales were fully covered. The crew was great and took the time to explain and show me how they installed the material, especially how they ensure proper sloping of the material to maximize water diversion into the canales. Clean-up after the job was perfect; no trace of material or debris left behind, either on the roof or the ground. We will definitely contact Gonzales and Sons if we ever need roofing work in the future.

We highly recommend this roofing company! We needed a new roof and had contacted 3 previous companies and were undecided about all of them. Then our neighbors told us that they were going to have Isaac from Gonzales and Sons Roofing give them an estimate on a new roof replacement for their house. They asked us if we would also be interested in getting an estimate. Isaac came over and checked out our roof. We told him exactly how we wanted certain items accomplished, (vent turbines, rain gutters, trim fascia). He promptly emailed a very reasonable contract proposal. Shortly after that Gonzales and Sons Roofing completed a new roof on our neighbor’s house and did a great job! We were sold. We called Isaac and scheduled to have a new roof put on our house as well. Eddie and his crew showed up as scheduled, and did a great job, exactly as ordered! Everyone we worked with in this company was courteous and quite professional.

After a bad storm in Albuquerque, I found my roof leaking and in bad shape. The sheetrook and drywall in the bedroom was also damaged. I called 7 different companies for estimates and decided on Gonzales and Sons. Isaac came out to do an inspection and answered all my questions. He wasn't pushy and was very reasonable with his estimate. He was able to fit me into the schedule to begin work in a reasonable amount of time. Gonzales and Sons kept in communication by emailing me a professional estimate and receipt as well as following up to see that we were satisfied. They were on time to begin the job (in fact, they were early) and very professional throughout the entire process. This company is now my roofer of choice and I strongly suggest them for your roofing needs. (Now that I know they also do block work, I will hire them to build my block wall). They did an awesome job. We would recommend them to everyone. The work was done fast and professional. We called the owner with a last minute request for a whole new roof. Our house was for sale and needed a new one before we could close. His pricing was great and had the job done in less than two days. The job site was also clean and when they left it was like it never happened. There was not a piece of old roof or splash of tar anywhere. We had a lot of roofers come out and give us some crazy quotes. It seemed they knew we were in a bind and thought they could squeeze extra money out of us. Issac the owner came out inspected the problems and gave us a great deal even though he knew we were on a time crunch. Would not recommend Gonzales & Sons. Contacted them to have a leak repaired. The initial contacts were fine although not ideal (took about 3 weeks to get on their schedule--totally understand, they have other customers/jobs). However, the work was shoddy and the leak returned 3 weeks afterwards during the first storm after the repair. They gave me a 3-month warranty, so I figured it would be no problem. Boy was I wrong. I respectfully sent emails and left voicemails at their office. One of the 7 times I called someone actually picked up, took my information, said they would look at the file and call me back that afternoon. I have received no additional communications despite calling and emailing once per day, including giving them ample time to contact me prior to posting this review. They do not stand behind their work, their warranty, or their word. Find someone else.

I recently hired Gonzales and Sons to replace my flat roof. I was very impressed by Isaac's responsiveness as well as by the hard-working crew he manages. I had multiple questions about how some of my roof issues would be addressed, all of which Isaac answered promptly and professionally. As an added bonus, he was able to schedule the job within a week of my call, and the project was completed on time. Isaac also sent me a drone photo of the final results and everything looked really good. I went with white TPO and feel like this is going to serve me well, along with the other modifications the team implemented. I was also very impressed by Celina's responsiveness. She was always willing to answer my questions and coordinate with the crew. I'd definitely recommend this company to those needing roof repair or replacement!

He spent a lot of time on my roof and provided me a detailed description of my issue and a plan of attack. Max and the crew did an excellent job with our double-wide. Sure I could have gone cheaper for a double-wide, but I probably would have paid later for this. The estimator from Gonzales and Sons Roofing conducted a thorough examination of my roof, presenting me with detailed photos of damaged tiles and worn-out underlayment. With the monsoon season approaching, I prioritized quality over cost and decided to proceed with the underlayment and tile replacement. Despite the estimate not being cheap, the timely arrival of materials and the crew's efficient work resulted in the job being completed in three days instead of the projected four. The end result was a beautiful roof, and their thorough cleanup was commendable. Gonzales and Sons is the perfect contractor. When looking for a contractor, I seek a licensed and insured professional. I want someone who is responsive, gives their word, keeps their word and does quality work. Gonzales and Sons did all of that and more. I called for a repair estimate, they arrived when they said they would (a few minutes early). Gave me an estimate exactly as I asked, (for a repair and a complete replacement). Then when time came to do the work, they were here exactly when they said they would be. Worked diligently until the job was completed. Did a high quality professional job. When they were done they cleaned the entire area and then left. I am impressed with their work ethic and work quality.

It has been a pleasure working with this company from beginning to end. I was working with a short timeframe to have a new roof installed and Isaac went out of his way to inspect, write up a quote, and they were able to schedule within a few days. The work was done faster than I expected and was done exceptionally well. They were flexible with payment options as I live out of town and wasn’t able to drop off payment. I received three other bids and Isaac’s was the most reasonable but also the only company willing to work with my short timeframe. I did my homework searching for a roofing contractor. I got bids from multiple companies. Gonzales & Sons won my business from the first meeting with their Project Manager Max Sanchez. Max knows his business and this market. He kept me informed every step of the way and made sure we were always on schedule. I took the day off and monitored the project and Max’s crew was first rate from the time they started until the end of cleanup. If you are concerned about getting a reputable and reliable roofing company without losing sleep, these are the guys. Great price and great roof.

Isaac and his crew are trustworthy. That's a lot to say about roofers in this town. I've had my two most recent roofs done by them - one flat, one pitched (shingle). Excellent work. I noticed a few spots where the flat roofing was separating from the parapets a couple years after the job (probably more because my stucco is old and cracked, and not because the roof was faulty). I called Isaac and a day later a crew came out to seal the gaps quickly and effectively - with no additional charge. Isaac will come back once a year to inspect and touch up penetrations and parapets.

I needed a new roof (have been putting it off for some time now) and the receptionist Celina and Isaac the master roofer were professional, knowledgeable, gave me quotes and advice on which type of roof I should have installed. He came out the same day I called and gave me an estimate that was a very good price. They were patient with me while I worked with my insurance company and when they came out to do the roof finished in one day and did a great job. Had Gonzales and sons replace our roof two years ago. It has been nothing but problems since we have had 3 leaks do to roof nails being outside shingle coverage. The gutter guy showed up two days late with no call just showed up randomly with an attitude raising his voice to my wife when asked why he didn’t show up when he was scheduled. Now that we are selling they say they have no record of doing the work. I don’t blame them I wouldn’t want my name on anything they did either. It has been two weeks and no call back!

I am very happy that we chose this company to do the roof. We did a metal roof and TPO for flat parts. Both look great. Isaac was wonderful to work with, he answered all questions. He was there on all days of the work. The crew was there on the scheduled day, on time, and were quick, efficient and did a very good job. We did have an small issue with the HVAC/Electrician that was subcontracted, but Isaac was great in offering resolutions for the issue. Overall, I think they were very great. Thank you.

Issac is great. I had a new beautiful 3d shingle roof put on my house about 4 years ago. I noticed a little minor cracking of the sealant around the skylights and let him know. He thanked me for being proactive and sent a crew out in a couple days and they resealed everything. Even though it didn't really need it. My neighbor's comment on how nice it looks. They were fast, efficient, and did a spotless cleanup. I highly recommend Gonzalez! Great job guys!

I have decided not to use this contractor because Invigorate offered just a good of a deal and they have sales people who will listen to their customers. This company did come up with a good offer but did not answer my questions upfront. I wish this company well and thank them for their bid. But, I would not recommend them.

The roofers did great work. They replaced a leaking roof vent and showed me pictures so I could see the problem firsthand. The entire roof of the house addition also needed to be replaced.
