Horrible gym. The staff never bother to tidy up the gym floor and weight plates, dumbbells, mats, clips and plyo boxes are often left scattered all over the floor. The dumbbell rack itself is never in order either and no effort is made to organise it EVER. I can understand during unstaffed hours that the gym may be messy however during staffed hours, the gym staff make no effort to clean and tidy up the floor and instead chat behind the counter. In the cardio section there is often rubbish left inside the cup holders of the machines and it is left there for days on end. For 3 days straight I saw the same wipes being left in the cup holders and no one bothered to clean it. No effort is put in to clean the gym. Don't even attempt to blame the gym goers by saying "We have signs informing members of our rules regarding cleanliness" when you don't bother to clean the gym yourselves. An unbelievable amount of lockers in the facility are broken and many machines are poorly maintained making horrible squeaking noises when used. The 5kg weight plates are also a hazard to gym goers as they can cut their hands open due to the sharp metal being exposed due to poor maintenance. The handles on many machines are missing their grips or in many cases their grips have been messed up either broken, sliding off or twisted in ways which wrinkle it. Personal trainers fail to correct the poor form of clients which could potentially lead to injury and on top of that spend time chatting to other gym goers WHILST taking a client on rather than giving the client their undivided attention. The training environment itself is horrible as well. The airc conditioning is always turned on way too high not allowing gym goers to sweat and stay warm whilst exercising. The blinds don't cover the entire window which faces east so gym goers in the morning must face the sun when using certain machines. They lack equipment such as a deadlift platform and have equipment that does not allow for full range of motion such as the lat pulldown machines which are FACING THE WRONG WAY. Whilst it's good that they have a separate cardio section and weights section, what on earth are the rowing machines and treadmills doing in the weights section and why are some weights machines in the cardio section For anyone looking to take their training seriously or anyone looking to train at all I do not recommend training here. When you take into account the membership prices and the facilities AND the inability to find parking (not Goodlife's fault) it's simply not worth it. Edit: 7 months later and a face to face complaint and a phone call with one of the managers and not a single thing has changed. The manager admitted via phone call to only cleaning the gym once a day, making excuses such as "its a bit difficult during peak hour" even though during off peak hours the staff do nothing. Any cleaning that is done looks as if weights have been put back just whereever a spot is available and not in an organised fashion. Its a pathetic excuse to say you are understaffed and therefore unable to clean the gym when staff can be seen chatting together at the front of the gym on a regular basis. It is very clear that not a single one of the staff care about the gyms appearance and tidiness as I watched the head manager ignore a corner full of weights and dumbbells just left on the floor. Having been to multiple other goodlife gyms (Chelsea Heights, Waverley Park, Wantirna, Docklands, South Melbourne) this gym is hands down the worst.

When I first joined over the phone I was pretty sold and after my first tour was really rushed into singing contracts. I had to ask to be shown around and had to constantly ask someone to show me how to use things (I’ve only been to one other gym before so the different brands are slightly unfamiliar) I also signed up for the kickstart program but that is a totally rip off. 3 “sessions” for $59 which was a 10 minute intro and was never shown how to use any of the equipment. A week later, 40 minute session but PT didn’t listen to anything I wanted to work on and third session very much the same. I had to call the gym to chase down the program I was supposed to get and then got a text with a couple of exercises that would barely create a work out. This means that I was a month into my membership before I got a proper workout and I still didn’t know how to use everything. The Arena Fitness area is loud and obnoxious making it hard to concentrate when working out in the gym. It’s also really poorly maintained. The weights are regularly left around and are dirty and sweaty. The change rooms are mouldy and there is no room to actually change outside of the showers or anywhere to put your stuff down. I find my stuff constantly getting wet and the shower doors are always rusted. Very different to other gyms and pools change rooms that I’ve experienced and kind of important when it comes to hygiene. I’ve only been going for 2 months but I’m really reconsidering my decision and wondering how I can get out of this before my 12 months is up because I’ve been made to feel really uncomfortable in and around the whole gym and it takes the fun out of getting fit. I hope the team and or management takes this feedback on board so that mine and others experiences can improve.

As a mother with 2 little kids and having trained in various gyms over 18 years I can vouch for Goodlife Fountain Gate as being one of the best if not the best in the South East region of Melbourne. Firstly this gyms' equipment is exceptional having more than enough equipment available for use. Further, the gyms' equipment itself is fantastic. The cardio equipment is new and high quality, the machines for body building are amazing, there's loads of variety. I'd therefore say this gym covers both fitness junkies and body builders.. or anyone in between:-) I personally havnt done classes but are well aware of the amazing and motivating room which smashes out eg HIIT classes etc etc in the mornings which look and sound pretty cool. Trainers are awesome here, very professional. Staff greet you warm and are welcoming upon arrival. Bench with coffee machine woo hoo and comfy seating in foyer. The location itself is great being within Fountain Gate complex which is soooo convenient for a mum, or anyone I guess. On that note the gym is great having a high quality creche which is a great option for mums. The main area has floor to ceiling windows with nice view which feels really refreshing and motivating when you're training, alongside plenty of floor space, just love it. Reiterate, state of the art equipment at Goodlife Fountain Gate. Really happy as both being just an individual and mum to be a part of this gym, and the environment, culture in addition makes an effective and hardd work out feel much more motivating:-) - More than happy Goodlife Fountain Gate member.

I must agree with other comments about this gym centre that the sales people are extremely pushy and aggressive. I went in today just to check it out the facility and pricing. However I was being forced to sign up today and don’t even given any time to consider it or a trial class. It’s so hard to get a trial class from them as I feel like it’s either their way or the high way. Not sure what’s the 5day pass mean and now I feel like that is a scam. Just wanna to tell this centre that pls respect the consumer right to have a choice as you are not the only gym centre around Narre Warren area. People deserve a choice even they come to you for inquiry. Give people a chance to choose and don’t be so pushy. This marketing strategy won’t work as it turn me off straight away. I rather go to Casey Arc leisure centre for almost the same price with more flexible membership option and much better facility. Worse sales people that I ever met. Young and inexperience.

I've been a member of GL Fountain Gate for about 7 years now after trying out many other Gyms around the Berwick/Narre Warren area. It's the longest time I have ever stayed at a gym for due to the friendly inviting staff and lovely positive/up lifting members. A gym I have always felt comfortable going to as it has such a diverse range of members from the youngest to the elderly and those in between!.. All different body shapes/sizes and abilities.....A gym that caters for all without feeling 'self conscience' ... Has a small area at the back of the 'cardio area' that has a couple of spin bikes & pin loaded machines which are great for those members that prefer not to go into such a big space of free weights & pin loaded weights... It's a perfect combination. Luke the Manager is always approachable as are all the staff!.... Highly recommend GL Fountain Gate for all!

I've been a member at Goodlife Fointain Gate for 10 years now and some things never change, like the great customer service and friendly staff, first class facilities like the open plan gym area and cleverly thought out function zone. It's the little thing and attention to detail on and off the floor that really make a difference, oh and did I mention the wet and dry therapy areas, Arena section along myriad of other classes and friendly Personal Trainers who are always more than happy to help you along with your goals no matter your level of fitness. Breath and achieve. You really will enjoy this Health Club and with a range of people from absolute beginners all the way thru to professional athletes it really is a good space for everyone, and they are all so friendly. I have been going here for 3 years now and the place is filthy. I have mentioned it to the club manager many times but nothing ever gets done. There is dirt, dust & peoples spilt protein powders all over the floor. A lot of equipment is extremely worn and broken. All the ropes, handles and seats on most of the equipment has tears in it. Sauna and steam room are a massive breeding ground for a disease as they are never cleaned! Showers are completely filthy like a public restroom on the side of a highway! I have sent them pictures of it and they always say they will speak to the cleaners but nothing ever happens. Timber in the sauna is filled with mould and the floors have never seen a mop. All the tiles in the showers are filled with black mould and I am yet in 3 years to see it actually be cleaned.

Greedy money minded institution I had an awful experience with the team. PLEASE DO NOT SIGN THEIR CONTRACT GYM IS A RIP OFF I was living in Narre Warren from November 2020 and thought to join this gym near to my place for a year. First of all their services are way too expensive compared to the ones around. I simply signed up as I had a friend to workout with there. My rental agreement expired and I moved places. This inhumane person on the service desk refused to cancel my contract which would have expired in November 2021 as per the terms. Reason given was that they did not take payments out of my account and these greedy people want to take their losses out of my pocket. How is this fair??? Why should I be paying for their lockdown ?

  • Remy Burney

This gym is not clean, especially the showers when you go after 7PM probably because you have all the dirt from the day and the staff can't bother taking a mop and spend 2 minutes cleaning the floor. The wifi is not good either, not remotly fast and with deadspots everywhere. Despite some complaints they just never listen and fix things. The website is not working correctly, you try to use it to contact them ; it's either not possible because of bugs on the website, or they will never get back to you anyway. They are really good at taking your money though, and reminding you when you haven't paid. They should focus on client retention insted of trying to get new people in.

what a great experience I had today at goodlife Narre Warren which led me to cancel my membership straightaway I was taking shower and found out no soap then moved to other one same story no soap at all in any bathroom. I pressed the buzzer for help. A staff member came but Rather Than Helping me out by providing soap he was giving me lecture to never press it again. I asked for the soap but he kept on lecturing about the button I pressed . waited long time he never came back . Pretty disgusting customer service and for their faults they want to blame the Gym members. What a dumb customer service.

Being someone who was too self-conscious to join a gym, I honestly can’t speak highly enough of Goodlife Fountain gate. I have had nothing but a positive experience every step of the way. From the moment I walked in I was greeted with a friendly face and a welcoming environment. All the facilities look clean and well maintained. I have had great support with Dan (PT) and all the team that I have come across so far. I know I have a long way to go to reach my goals, and I feel I will achieve them with the guidance and knowledge from everyone at Goodlife.

It’s a very good gym - a lot of times over crowded though. The gym has all the amenities which one need for a workout. They provide special classes as well. It’s neat, clean, well ventilated, open, very well lit. The bathrooms are neat & clean, so is the sauna. The staff is very polite & cooperative. Special mention of one of their managers - Libby - she’s customer service par excellence. So well-meaning, trustworthy, supportive. I’m now a member for Life because of Libby and the overall facility, flexibility & freedom GoodLife provides

Over a 3 week stay to see Frieda and fam here in Oz, really wanted to stay disciplined and fit -really please to be introduced to Goodlife gym by my sister, a regular, who showed outstanding customer care during the time, and that customers come first before their own.gain. I had access to state of art gym and sessions on Arena, which takes HIIT workouts to the next level, far beyond what I knew . Thanks for Keeping my health, fitness and energy levels right up there all the way through - who leaves a holiday fitter than they came !

  • Kathryn Nuhanovic

Don’t sign with this gym. Really disappointing how they trap you into a contract and take away 1 of the reasons I choose this gym in the first place. Changing the lady’s area into a boxing arena which the last few times I’ve gone have not seen 1 person in there or the area in use. Every time I went and used the lady’s section it was always in use and always had people in there. It’s okay for them to completely cut out one of their benefits for this gym. They will still take your money. Wouldn’t recommend.

  • Karin Orchard

I am absolutely disgusted with this gym, I would never recommend them to anyone. They took money unauthorised twice out of my account for myself and my husband and when I questioned them about stealing my money they did nothing about it and I'm still waiting for my money back. They have staff that lie to you and also have staff that are rude and unhelpful. I have sent several emails no reply and made calls and the manager doesn't call you back. If I could give zero stars I would have.

Hard to find wasted 15 minutes. Not at location they have listed on Google maps. It's in Westfield. No signs and direction in information map wrong. It's on top car park above Coles near max employment, escalator opposite concierge level 2. Or outside entry next to American grill. Friendly reception, Decent gym, large, heaps of equipment, fairly clean (most equipment put away), music not too loud, and midday patrons pretty respectable. Sauna and steam room. Decent showers with soap.

Now this is a gym ! One of the more roomier good life gyms with a big range of new equipment. Lots of squat racks, benches and cable stations so no one misses out. As this gym is huge, it does not get crowded, even at peak hour. I prefer to come here when I’m in the south east. Love it love it love it baby. The staff are sweet and helpful also :) and super approachable. Cute vibes from here. The exercise class rooms are big as well ! This gym has it all x

Fantastic gym to train at , Staff are always lovely and welcoming. The group fitness timetable accommodates for everyone and is tailored to meet their needs, offering a diverse range of les mills classes . The creche offers a range of activities for all the kids , The girls in there have become like family to all of my children over the last ten years, and I have the comfort of knowing they are well cared for whilst I train . Hands down the best gym ❤️.

  • Kodge K

In terms of facilities it is a great gym but uses questionable sales tactics and offers no flexibility if you are unwell or going through hardship. There is a fee for everything so if you cannot commit to a long term contract do not make the mistake of joining this gym. They really need to have a look at the procedures they have in place and fees they charge. I've moved to Outfit24 and it is the complete opposite, i feel like a valued member.

As one of the founding members of Fenix Fitness all those years ago, I have found Goodlife Fountain Gate to be an amazing place that has been the cornerstone establishment for enabling my holistic fitness goals for many years. The trainers and staff have been a steadfast part of this process, and I am grateful for the creation of a sense of community that I have felt so much a part of. Thank you all for your help and motivation.

  • Diresh Halpe

I was referred to join Goodlife by a friend of mine and I was impressed with the service and quality of this health club. The consultant helped me get started on my fitness journey and showed me the value of getting started and not saying no to myself. I felt that consultants truly cared about me as an individual and it was overall smooth getting started. I highly recommend this gym to anyone that needs to smash their goals.

Have been going to this gym for a while now with some of my friends! We have all noticed one worker, I believe her name is Bella, she is extremely rude and makes interactions super uncomfortable. She has an attitude no matter what time of day, it really brings a bad feeling to the environment to the point I don’t ask for help even when needed because she speaks rude and acts it. Needs to be dealt with!

  • Felicity Martin

I have been a member of Goodlife Fountain Gate for a few years now and I absolutely love it. The classes they provide are my favorite! They provide so many different ones to choose from and the times work in with me perfectly! The staff are always keen to help no matter how big or small my enquiry! The gym is always kept very clean and tidy. I would recommend it to everyone :)

  • Shaun Trotter

Started at the gym 12 months ago after being at another local gym for 18 years. Found Staff are awesome, RPM bikes were not so good but now new ones are there and the classes and instructors are awesome. Start doing Arena Hit classes and I have to say WOW! Coaches are great and helpful. People participating are friendly, loving it. Keep it up Goodlife. Job well done

  • Linda B

The way the gym supported it's members throughout COVID lockdowns and their ongoing communication is great. No doubt they've been through a hard time but they keep investing in the gym and it shows. From a personal perspective, they've also been great to deal with. They're unpretentious, understanding and if you're lucky enough to deal with Libby she's the best.

  • dimsimp7

I was having some troubles with my billing account and it was pretty frustrating. I went into talk to Libby, and she was so lovely in helping me out with the issue :) Amazing customer service, and the problem was resolved pretty quickly. Another lovely lady also helped me out, but I never got her name - thank you to both!

  • Mole Coolar

Great gym and facilities. Staff were friendly and extreemly helpful. They really focus on customer loyalty and try to keep you. One thing I don't like is the sauna/steam room is not available 24/7 and most of the time the gym is full of people so it's hard to avoid peak hour.

  • Adrian Hansen

Well equipped, plenty of space and options for members. Cassie made joining easy, no big sales pitch just asked me what I wanted out of a membership and then showed me the options. I'd recommend this gym to anyone looking for a modern gym which is affordable and friendly.

  • David Wing

As an experienced user of gym equipment, I find the range of machines/weights excellent. The facilities are clean, with very good change rooms. Inexperienced users may struggle unless you are prepared to pay for “personal training”. Definitely suits my needs

  • Courtney Maree

Amazing gym, and staff. Started my fitness journey 2 weeks ago, and have had the pleasure of having Dan be my PT and he is amazing! Couldn’t recommend him enough to anyone! The facilities are well maintained and they have a great variety of classes!

  • Subhashni & Shane Younger

Love the arena classes. Great training atmosphere with knowledgeable trainers. Always improving and getting the results you after, the trainers recognise people are at differing levels and ensure everyone is catered to at all times

  • Shawkat Ali Rezaie

Bunch of liars do not join this gym Day 1 when I signed up they told me I told them I do not want to do a contract but they told me not to worry and that I can cancel with ease and any time but it turned out to be all a lie

  • A Afg

Such a rip off gym I paid more in penalty fees for no reasons when funds were available each week for direct debit. When I wanted to end my membership I still had to pay extra 4 week's.

  • Nalika Kulasekera

Well equipped, clean gym. The manager Luke is an easy person to talk to and understand his members needs. Overall it's a great place to be in and get fit.

  • Aj

Worst management. They deducted money without your authority be aware from these scam people and not sure they will give your refund or not

  • Ee Znt

Service of cancellation took so long to get the refund so better don’t take the membership if you are not sure

  • Anita Johns

Clean facilities, great gym with a good variety of equipment and a large cardio area

  • Briony Louise

I love the atmosphere of this gym, feels like home ♥️ …
