I witnessed an injured baby possum as I was driving past Gordon Public School yesterday. It was bleeding, however still alert and moving. I called up the Local Vet (Gordon Vet Hospital) and asked if they would take it. The receptionist kindly said they would care for it, but they could not collect it. I dropped it off at the vet straight away. I called up today to ask about the baby possums welfare (as I am not a soulless person) The receptionist said there were no notes left and she had not heard about a possum being here. She then asked all the staff and said no one knows. She then said "it probably died". I appreciate this place taking in an injured Australian wildlife. However I am concerned that it appears no notes were left and staff did not communicate regarding the possum I brought in. Perhaps if I had offered to pay, then maybe there would be notes availible. Therefore there is no real closure for myself who transported the possum and the couple who were standing by it (who said at the scene they would contact the vet to see how the possum would be) For these reasons I will not be recommending any of my family or friends to use Gordon Vet Hospital

The best care ever! My beloved cat, Noa, unfortunately, had to leave this world on August 7th, 2023. She was 18. It was devastating to see her condition deteriorate rapidly within just 10 days, but all the staff (vets and nurses) went above and beyond in providing care. They updated me on Noa’s condition twice a day, and I couldn't have asked for better care. I am still grieving badly, but their genuine and compassionate support for Noa (and myself) truly helped me through this hard time. I want to thank all the people involved, especially Kay (who provided care beyond her scope) and Sally (who had left the Gordon Vet but was still there for Noa). I also want to thank Helen and Dani for sending Noa to heaven peacefully in the best possible manner. I wholeheartedly recommend Gordon Vet. The moment you step into the clinic and are greeted by the gentle smiles of the nurses, you'll know you're in good hands.

Extremely happy with Imogen and the team. I had lost ALL faith in vets after going to GreenCross. Thankfully Gordon Vet Hospital surpassed all our hopes and expectations. Imogen was incredibly caring, clinically competent and finally solved the issue our cat had. The vet nurses and reception team seemed genuinely happy and were super friendly each time we’ve returned. Follow up care after the surgery for our cat was like night and day compared to what we’d been through at our old vet. Unlike at GreenCross where the final price always ended up being at the top of the quoted range, at Gordon Vet Hospital the quote was far more reasonable and the price ended up at the lower end of the estimate. Highly recommended this vet.

One stop affordable vet for my puppy! I live locally and never realised these guys were there as they're hidden off the ramp heading from Ryde Rd to Pacific Hwy. I was looking for a vet to vaccinate my American staffy pup and these guys are fantastic. Pricing was great as the vaccination included a thorough health check consultation which other vets levy an additional charge for. The Vet (James) took his time, was very friendly, answered all my questions and provided recommendations too. Puppy bag with info, sample puppy food and leash was a nice touch. The front desk staff were also friendly and professional so not much else to ask for. Nice to have a first class, affordable vet locally.

Our animals are very much part of our family. GVH look after our cats and dog with respect, expert health advice, thorough testing and complete care; there nothing like a stressful time requiring emergency treatment or circumstances to test a vets service or integrity. They're facilities are fantastic, the staff highly experienced and consistently developing professionally, parking is easy, they are flexible and they always follow up their care with phone calls days, weeks and sometimes months after events; checking on the patients and their owners.

Booked an appointment for a PennHip with my Dog Remi. Was referred by a fellow club member at a dog club with glowing review and they didn't disappoint. Its clear to see why they had a 4.8 rating out of 5 with 175 Reviews From the initial reception intake the ambience was inviting. After talking with John Morgan i certainly felt at ease and in good hands The X-rays were completed in a timely fashion and the dog was in good spirits post the sedation Highly Recommended will be travelling to this vet for all my needs.

Exceptional veterinary hospital. I have been taking my dog here for many years and although I now live in the Eastern Suburbs, I still drive across town to see the Vets at Gordon. The staff are highly skilled, compassionate, friendly and helpful. My 9 year old dog has had 2 knee operations (1 on each knee!) and the outcome of these surgeries far exceeded my expectations. I have been incredibly impressed with the care provided during all of our visits. I would highly recommend Gordon Vet Hospital.

Dr Catherine Chen is amazing and the only vet I trust with my three cavalier girls. Other vets have always been judgemental, but Catherine listens and works with you to come to a compromise to what is best for my girls going forward. Last time my tri went in to have a dental and she was completely happy to be there even went back in with the nurse wagging her tail while we were waiting outside! We even drive the distance since moving as we completely value Catherine's skill, expertise and manner.

I have tried several veterinary clinics in this area, and Gordon have consistently been the most thorough and compassionate office around. The partners are fantastic, and all of the staff are thoughtful and caring. I never feel rushed there--appointments are booked with enough of a margin that the vets are always able to take the time to fully discuss what's going on with your loved one. Particularly as a cat owner and a person who does cat rescue work, I can't recommend Gordon highly enough.

In my experience with Gordon vet i have nothing but praise for the very kind and professional team working there. Anytime my cats Alley, Aslan and Lulu go in for a check up or anything else, i am confident in the team that they are very well looked after with the utmost importance and care. Recently visited with our little cat on a late sunday morning. We called in just before they were due to close & they were happy to stay back and check over our cat so we didn't have to run to the emergency vet. DR Helen was incredibly kind and professional. She eased our worries & treated the medical issue with our cat. I feel very confident bringing our cat into see any DR at Gordon Vet Hospital as I know each staff member is genuinely caring and passionate about helping animals.

This is a great vet practice - caring, honest and straightforward to deal with. We own a miniature schnoodle called Bali who has been to GVH all his life and the service has been great, plus we get polite reminders when he is due for this next routine injection. Dr Scott Lackenby has a lovely calm bedside manner, is able to communicate clearly and puts Bali at ease. He was recently de-sexed (I mean our dog, not Dr Scott) and despite this he was back to his normal mojo very quickly.

Have been taking my dog Potato here for almost four years now, everyone in the Gordon Vet team are so friendly and caring we wouldn’t even think of taking him anywhere else. It really says a lot that when we’re driving up into the carpark of Gordon Vet, Potato can immediately sense where we are and gets EXCITED to go in! The vets here are always very thorough and honest, and they also offer a gap payment only service for certain pet insurances. Highly recommend.

Compassionate, caring and highly skilled veterinary surgeons who treat their patients and owners with respect. The nursing and administration staff are efficient and remember their patients by name which is a lovely touch. A lovely vet practice which despite our Golden Retriever Finn’s complex medical history, is always welcoming to him and he never displays any signs of anxiety when attending. Dr Helen is lovely and a firm favourite of ours!

My family and I have lived in the area for over 30 years and we have never been to any other practice. The care and compassion the vets have shown towards our babies has always been of the highest standard. I would particularly like to thank Dr Coggins for the care and compassion she has shown towards me in recent months with Salem (who unfortunately was PTS this past Sunday) and also with Lilah. This practice has a real gem in her!

First time going to Gordon Vet Hospital with my little pooch. Parking was fairly easy. The front staff very friendly. We had Vet Dr Imogene who showed genuine interest in my pooch & was very knowledgeable when asked alot of questions. Dr Imogene made us feel that we could trust her to do what is best for our pooch. Very happy to go back. Price point - they would be slightly on the higher side. A good place for your best friend

I discovered Gordon Vet through the Facebook local community group and also read reviews on all the vets in my area... the service did not disappoint. The online booking system is fantastic which means less phone calls and more time to focus on the customer/animals at the clinic. The SMS system is also great - you get a reminder prior to the appointment, updates of how your pet went during surgery and even a follow up phone call!

Well it's never nice to have to take your beloved pet(s) to the vets but sometimes you just have to. Gordon Vets are similarly priced to others in this locale but they are well organised, off street parking and the vets are compassionate about the care of animals. Even separate entrances for dogs and cats ! See attached photo. Educated, literate cats queue up outside (ir's actually the practice's resident cat).

It’s a shame the only reason I go here is when my cat is feeling sick. Excellent service but most importantly top of the charts skills when it comes to helping our little friends. I have a lot of respect for people in this field, not an easy job to have. You can tell all the workers here give it their all. This is a place you hope you’ll never to have to visit but when you do you will be looked after.

An absolutely amazing vet. We have used Gordon vets for a number years and they have been truly superb. Their approach to the animals is incredibly empathetic and caring. Of particular note are Scott, John and Helen who have consistently delivered a superb level of service to our many dogs. Without a doubt they are far and above the best vets I have ever used. I highly recommend them to anyone.

We found a stray, agitated dog in front of our house last night. We phoned but got no help from the Council ranger who gave two options: tie him up in front yard overnight or "let him loose, he'll find his own way home" :( So we phoned Gordon Vet: they stayed open a few minutes so we could run him up and he could have a bed and dinner. Thank you Gordon Vet Hospital, hope he gets home soon!!! :)

I can't rate Gordon Vet Hospital any higher. I took my 11yr old staffy in for surgery with the beautiful Imogene Ewen (amazing surgeon) and was managed by incredibly professional front office staff (Maddie). My dog, Coco was in the best of hands. The after care service is detailed and their love of animals is so very clear to all who enter. Exceptional service for the North Shore.

We always do the annual checkup for our dog here. Staffs are very friendly & helpful. Vets are caring & professional. However, when I purchased the Bravecto Spot-On Dog Orange 4.5-10kg 250mg for tick treatment from the clinic, it’s a whopping 40% more from what one can find on the website. It’s advisable one check on the prices of those merchants before purchasing in the clinic.

Our family has been taking our pets to the Gordon Veterinary Hospital for over 10 years. The vets and staff are always very caring and they have fantastic facilities, so that many procedures and tests can be performed without a trip elsewhere. When we go away, one of the lovely vet nurses has always house sat for us, so the dogs can be in the comfort of their own home! Caroline

A great vet is one of those things like a good mechanic. Essential your your own mental health. Gordon Vet Hospital is exceptional. Sally is one of the best vets we've had and is a real person able to deliver medical advice with full understanding of the associated potential range of possibilities, clearly, without the panic. I transferred my dogs here a couple of year's ago from another local vet clinic as a quote for some oral work was significantly cheaper and have never regretted it. Not only good value, but excellent care, great follow up and support and my two dogs love the free liver treats - making the visits a positive experience.

Would like to sincerely thank Helen and John for looking after our Patch (16yo jack) who had tick poisoning. We called very late on Sat afternoon and Helen was very accommodating and saw Patch. Have been going to this vet for over 20 years for our previous cat and 2 new cats. We have since moved away from the area, but we still come back here as the service is exceptional. The staff are so caring, compassionate and knowledgeable. The waiting times for appointments are quite short and they do not try to sell you unnecessary products / treatments.

We have long loved this vet. We've taken numerous beloved family dogs here and never received anything but top notch care. I have never been more grateful than when I rushed my suddenly sick senior dog to Gordon Vet and John took care of him and got him back on the right path. I was able to have 6 more months with him. Fabulous vets and lovely staff.

Absolutely love the service here. I switched from other Vets to this Vet as the staff here are quite attentive and really care about your furry baby! Thank you so much for your help with the little black cat Teddy, who became lost, and was hiding under our house. When I finally got him out I brought him to Gordon Vet who were able to trace his owner. Staff were very helpfully and caring when I brought him in and let me know that he was back home warm and snug.

I was recommended this place by raw feeding community as raw feeding friendly, and it didn't disappoint. Easy to book online, super friendly stuff members and wonderful Dr Sally. I took both my cats to her and she does magic, the cats aren't scared or anything, and don't even blink getting a shot.

I took our little girl Coco for her very first vet visit yesterday. Dr Helen gave Coco a thoroughly check-up and provided me with useful information as the first time puppy owner. Coco is now enrolled in the puppy school and will return back for her 2nd vaccine in a couple of week!

My family and pets have always had a great experience here and the reception staff is always very nice, helpful and knowledgeable. Recently my puppy was sick and Dr David Loneragan helped us out and was easily accessible to me. We will definitely be coming back here next time!

They are the most understanding and caring group of people I have met. After my dog had to be put to sleep a sympathy card was sent with her paw prints and bit of hair attached and beautiful words of sympathy. A lovely thought. I would recommend this practice to anyone.

Very professional and caring service for a dog who has anxiety problems. Also provide services to our two bunnies so we do not need to visit an exotic specialist. The long opening hours are perfect for our busy family and being available on public holidays is a bonus.

Not that the dog is always entirely happy to go there, though they run a great operation with some. Convenient, clean and very communicative. Never do I doubt that the staff their live working with animals.

Really good with dealing with Covid by inviting patients to stay outside and they come to you. They have lots of people helping out. The only thing is that it is quite expensive compared to other vets.
