This is a fairly hidden cafe serving delectable fairly delicious food. Parking can be an issue but once you have that headache tucked away, you will enjoy the food the place offers. I like the inviting atmosphere this place has and the confortable feel it gives. I do find ordering method strangely weird. The qr code leads you to an fb page with pictures of the food and menu but you can't order it there. To order, you need to do it via the waiter. It's a head scratching ordering technique Anyway, as for the food, I did enjoy them. The chicken and fish had a balanced portion, with good delicious use of spice and salt. It's enough to fill you but not too much to leave you overly satieted. The only problem I have is the zucchini. When the batter looks, weighs and feels more than the actual zucchini, then you are eating batter flavored with zucchini and not the other way around. It's also a tad bit oily. I would probably avoid this.

I rarely leave one star reviews but i hope that this serves as a visual guide to anyone coming here to try their fish and chips. Honestly its very disappointing. I am not sure why they think its a good idea to serve a full (in bone) fish and chip aside from visual appeal if that the theme of the dish. It doesnt work. Let me explain why. Its a choking hazard and honestly this makes the dish very difficulty to eat safely. It makes the fish very dry and by the time you consume the rest of the fish it becomes cold. Also it ruin this otherwise lovely environment as the dish doesnt reflect the work that this restaurant is capable of. It is a lazy rendition of a fish and chip and gimmicks like this will ruin the reputation. Honestly dont try to change fish and chip as a dish. Other that this restaurant environment is lovely and the waiters are friendly. Just improve this dish. Please put yourself in customers perspective of what they expect from a fish and chip dish.

Very attentive and thoughtful service team! Came here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon with my friend and her 3+YO daughter. While sitting in the baby chair, her arm somehow got stuck to the chair (between the two rods). Her mom was able to free her arm after a bit of struggle, thankfully her daughter was able to calm down quickly after the small panic. The service team surprised us by giving the little girl a scoop of ice-cream and chocolate drizzle on the house ❤️ this thoughtful gesture cheered her up immediately! The mom also felt welcomed and less flustered. Thanks for helping the child and mother feel welcome and safe. Huge commendation to the service team

The food generally was ok. The Caribbean Bake Fish was a bit salty and Grain Modern Cioppino Pasta was too spicy. We cancelled one order, but the waiter forgot to cancel the order and it was charged under the bills. I only found out when we're at home as the payment was made by my nephew. My nephew did not check the items during payment and the waiter did not cancel in the bills. Both parties were careless. I'm looking forward to improvement in this area. Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience here. Thank you.

Food Fish and chips - nice Chicken chop - nice Bake fish - bit salty Spegetti - creamy , not bad Meatball - dry, please add some gravy Drink - worse cappuccino, might as well don't sell. Others like mojito, blue ocean ok. Dessert - tiramisu !! no mocha, no coffee no kahlua taste. I definitely can make better. The worse part service 1) forget to include my order, resulting waiting another 20 minutes, not a single apologetic word from the waiter, still can laugh and joke with no remorse. 2) dining experience is zero compare to last year. This time, all the staff laughing and joking behind counter so loud until we can't hear our conversation. Esp 2 plump guys with short hair. I paid almost RM 400 for dinner, but I think i would go somewhere else better next time. Please improve, or else definitely not recommended.

Comfortable environment, services nah it’s okay & not a lot item on the menu since it has serve two periods for lunch and dinner. I ordered tuna suku with verduras and clam spaghetti with white wine. The clam spaghetti was normal nothing special, the wine taste kinda off not really show out. The tuna suku burger was terrible & tasteless, it almost like cold serve raw tuna rockets salad no dressing to be honest. Which so odd was the dishes come with their red wine marinade beetroot and pickled onion. It taste doesn’t right on point! I can’t taste toasted sesame and saltiness from the tuna, too much unmelted butter and the pickled onion what you can expected local mamak put on their murtabak it only presenting sweet taste.It should be has some herb and peppery to bring out it onion savoury taste. First & last.

It's quiet on a weekday afternoon. Friendly service by the waiter. Tasty food. Grain Modern chicken cutlet - Deep fried breaded chicken chop is crispy and juicy, well matched with the creamy egg yolk spicy sauce. Carribbean baked fish with salmon roe - The perch fish is fresh. The aioli sauce is made of just mashed garlic, olive oil and a pinch of salt. Light taste but delicious. Grain Modern Cioppino pasta - Seafood (prawns, salmon, clams) are fresh. The tomato based broth is flavourful with a hint of spiciness. We were given a free lava cake during the birthday month. The cake is served warm with a scoop of Gula Melaka ice cream. Yummy.

This comment refers to the new outlet in Farlim. Noticed that Coffee Element has been replaced by this shop. Excited, walked into the shop to check their menu. No one greeted me. And the waitresses looked unhappy and unfriendly (too obvious not to notice). Saw an empty table and asked one of the waitresses nicely, friendly and politely, “Excuse me, do you have an empty table?” She looked at me as if I’ve given her so much of inconvenience, and replied with a flat “No we don’t have table.” I don’t feel entitled, and I don’t need or expect anyone to prepare a red carpet for me, but at the very least, there must be basic courtesy. A friendly advice to the owner: please train your staff to be more courteous and welcoming. Many thanks for your attention.

We have our lunch here just now ,just want to say that the staff was totally no attentive at all.And we order our food overall can say the food was tasteless.And while we having our lunch half way ,suddenly the waitress come behind me and say she want to deco the lamp for Halloween ,due to our table is beside the lamp !!! From my side the service was totally in a lowest class!! And also when the waitress clear my table is was very rushing and she drop the spoon on my bag ,the way she ask to cleaning the table was in very poor attitude and without wearing mask !!! No recommended and is my first and last visit !! !!!

I came alone so I could only order two things: Australian Rib Eye (paired with El Molino Merlot) and White Wine Clams. The steak was exquisite, cooked perfecrly as I requested and definitely well seasoned. The clams were too creamy for me, but it was meant as a sharing dish and not a solo portion. The taste of the wine did come through well. Ambience is really good and service was prompt. A good place for a quiet dinner.

Signature spicy chicken chop Fried zucchini Clam with white wine Visited Grain Modern Food few years back and the experience was pleasant. Super delicious. The spicy gravy was fantastic, a must-try for those who are looking for a twist from ordinary chicken chop. It would be nice if they could offer variety of fried vegetables or legumes, instead of just zucchini. Clam was served in generous portion, milky and thoroughly "wined"

Restaurant is well-decorated, looks spacious and sufficient gap between each table. Ground staff serving us also have a pleasant smile and attitude, took note of small details that might not be picked up elsewhere. White wine clams and Smoked Duck Carbonara Pasta was too creamy for me. Like their Crispy Shrimp Salad very much. All in all, a very wonderful experience to be there. ✅Modern simple interior design, the foods are tasty and yummy. Advised to make reservations if you planning come on weekend, weekday less customer. Cons: ❌ 1. Parking lot not friendly, if park at a lot beside the pos laju, the “uncles” will come and charge you, if park at alley, then I worried the safety. 2. Decent Western cafe serving some delicious food with good service. The chicken cutlet has to be my all-time favourite cause I'm a spicy lover. I've repeatedly ordered most of the time I'm here & even in their PG island outlet.

A very recommended store. At that time, when it was rained, we forgot to bring our umbrella, so we had to run into the store in the rain. The environment was very warm and comfortable. Two stars, one for the greatly designed interior design and another is for the coffee. Dropped by to have a light snack and drink, so we ordered the Modern Fried Zucchini, which is either tasteless or very salty due to imbalanced seasoning and very oily with a very soft textured zucchini. Totally not impressed, especially if the employees can't pronounce their restaurant name and menu items correctly. Feels like a bit of waste for such a beautiful location. Needs more improvements.

Food nice. Special abit and creative. But not all, salmon was good, chicken cajun was bleeding. Not cooked properly. My main concern in the f&b is service. I ordered my food. Waited 20mins. Ntg. Call the waitress and they checked and just started preparing. When food is out, not cook properly and have to bring back to kitchen and recook. So more waiting If the food is nice, but the service is bad, you will not be happy coming out from that Restaurant. NOT recommended to come.

A hidden cafe within Bukit Mertajam town. Very nice ambiance. Good environment to spend an afternoon n chit chat with friends there. Food taste good for beef burger. parking is easy to find. I was here from KL and looking for some good quote place to bring my mom and sister. This is a small space restaurant but then environment and service is super good. We have a good time there… All the food was nice and served as requested. Food is not salty or over powered. Coffee is well served.

I ordered shredded chicken carbonara and chicken cutlet. Both were served with spicy sauce, which personally, I feel it is a bit weird particularly for carbonara, but don’t get me wrong, they did indicate spicy in their menu and for spicy cravers, this is a must try! Price towards higher side, portion could be more generous bit. Atmosphere is great!

Chicken cutlet is good normally other place will not put much attention to their side salad for but this place their salad is really good pair with mango and pomegranate really goes well with the fried chicken The wakame salad is good. Nice environment and lovely ambiance. Its quite new here, so pls allow at least 20-30 mins of waiting. Food presentation for fried chic chop is quite pathetic, as you can see there’s only 6 biji of pomegranates *smh (RM18+/-). Food portion need to be improve as the amount of mash potato provided are very disappointing. Not fulfilling. Taste is ok, but not for the chicken breast.

Love the ambiance here with minimalistic decor. Had the privileged to sit nearby the counter, and was surprised to see all the young waiters are all equally polite asking customers’ feedback on the food. I must say that their service totally worth the detour! (Not to mention they had to always guide customers who came in wrongly wanted to go to the next restaurant )

Awesome place with modern vibes. Calm and relaxed ambience, suitable for romantic dinners. Ribeye steak was cooked properly, with delicious sauce, on point herb butter, and wonderful sides. German potatoes were delicious. The meatballs were superb. Definitely worth going back again for the affordable meal.

I was there today I’d say your service sucks. We ordered 2 drinks and asked for 2 glasses of water. 20 minutes for them to serve water after reminding them 3times. We walked out cause it seemed that they were not interested to serve us. Somehow it felt like racism…never again!

Food was good, the signature chicken cutlet was a bit spicy for me. The price is more expensive, RM40-50 per person. Also, be aware that reservations may be required.

Good food and coffee too. Unfortunately the salad was served with old and yellow arugula leaves, I understand if it's 1 or 2 leaves but I removed almost all of the leaves. Had to send it back. The chef needs to check properly in future. Otherwise I a good place. I'd return.

Had to book before going i guess. I was sitting outside so it meant I need to have a blood drinking gathering party with all the mosquitoes. I love cats but they have a cat there which was a bit annoying noisy nnjump on out table of food. But the environment design was good

Well,for the penang all season brunch,on Facebook page mentions that kitchen close in 4:30pm,but I reach at 3:55pm but they told me already close, I tell them the pages show the time is until 4:30pm and they said today close early, it’s very sad …

Service is satisfying. Flat white, wedges and zucchini is normal. The glass sauce is too small. Owner can consider to have a bigger ones so that customer can dip the sauce easily. I had to pour out to a plate to eat the wedges and zucchini.

A new place to eat in BM Town!! The restaurant is very cozy and well designed. Ordered beef burger, signature fish & chip, ribeye steak and chicken chop. Most of the dishes are good enough but the ribeye is a little bit salty. Recommended!

Food is quite nice, served pretty quickly especially a full house during dinner time. Love the salad dish served together with the chicken chop. Nice environment.

The restaurant is hidden in a small road so you can't really see from main road. Foods are serve with good presentation and taste good. Worth for a try.

The lamb is very tender. And shrimp salad is tasty too. No complain on service and wait time, though there are not much customers when I visit.

Nice food. Limited seats. Recommend to reserve table before coming.

Place is fine. Food is nice especially salmon with the belly soup it was yummlicios . Satisfied overall. People should come and try for real.

It's not a big shop but the environment is cozy and good. The foods are nice. Portion is good and the price is reasonable. Would visit again.

Some of the food were nice but mostly medicore at thus price point, service was bad, asked the waitress about availability, but ignored us.

服务很好 氛围很不错 奈何我没有提前预定，被迫坐在外面 但是服务员也搭配了灯 风扇 我吃的海鲜pasta 和 汉堡 觉得一般般 味道比较淡
