I give this place high marks because despite their size you can find just about anything you want when it comes to comic books and graphic novels: current, collector, used, etc. They have coffee coffee table books and paperbacks that will make you fill young again. I am really impressed with the variety of comics. As a kid in rural NC it was so hard to find anything, and this little place has all the Indy works too. Nice shop of vintage merchandise as well as new stuff including walking dead. Located in Seminole Height's you can pick up a comic and read it nearby at Southern Brewing which is family themed bar wth large garden and non alcoholic options.

Don't be fooled by the outer appearance. The place may look sketchy, but man is it a good mine! As someone who loves both vinyl records and comic book memorabilia, I had a field day there. I wanted to purchase a bunch of old vintage Star Wars cards, an Ink Spots record, and a VHS of Return of the Jedi. All of that in total would have come out to over 50 bucks. I didn't want to spend that money, but I knew I'd kick myself in the butt if I didn't get that Ink Spots record. The guy behind the counter saw that I was torn, and he took 50 % off of the cards, bringing the total to a little over 30 bucks. I will definitely be coming back again and again!!!

The weirdest comic book shopping experience I've had. When you walk up to the door there is a list of NO's on the door which sets you up for the customer service you'll receive. They have a HUGE back issue collection and a large amount of toys which was really awesome to see but the prices were completely outrageous. 500% markup on most items. There are more signs through out telling you what you can and can't do which gets kinda annoying. The place is nice, cool and clean but the amount of rules are pretty off putting. If you're going just for comics or instruments it's a nice place but if you want customer service go somewhere else.

Green Shift is a unique small business in the heart of Seminole heights that sells, comics, graphic novels, used speakers, record players, instruments, records, DVDs, cassettes and even 8 tracks tapes! You can get your instruments restrung or buy your strings there. They used to have a dude you could take guitar lessons from, but not sure if they still do it since they relocated a few years ago. We've been going to this place since 2012 and they have always been kind, honest, and helpful.

I've been shopping here for fifteen years and always have a great time. The folks working are kind, welcoming, and have deep knowledge and love for the products they sell. If you want a personable, neighborhood experience this is the place to go. But if you're looking for a big box "do whatever you want and they have to force a smile" experience then its not really your place. Be nice, respect the stuff, and you'll get the same in return.

My favorite comic shop in Tampa!! Not only do they have an amazing new titles section, (A whole rook just for them!) I could spend hours in the back issues room! I always find something I like while browsing the boxes back there, and at $1 a comic, I can't say no! I always go to Green Shift first whenever I'm looking for 90's titles and early 2000's runs. I love this shop so much, and the owners are great people to talk to.

Dude is really rude and too expensive for ok quality and generally unpleasant. He got visually upset when we took longer than 30 min to look through any records. Very small cramped and expensive for basically bargin bin quality. Wouldn't want to come back to be rushed when digging through trash. MID AF

That guy is a.....A-hole i walk in and say hello and received silence..... I walked out and said you have a great store after spending $15 on comic bag and boards and received silence once again. I'd rather buy my comics coliseum of comics they treat people like paying customers not like trash.........

Wish I went to the old location. This location just doesn't look right. Owner is a nice guy, but everything is cramped. I like the fact he got music but some of those vinyls are over priced(not even good vinyls). If you only there to buy a comic or two, bring cash. Using card needs to be 10$ and over.

One of the classic comic shops of Tampa. I've spent countless hours there over the years. Full of nooks and crannies, you felt like an amazing discovery was always just around the corner and you were usually right. They're moving this weekend to a new smaller location. Good luck guys!

This place is the pits now!! So small. Next to nothing in back issue selection. I can't believe this is the greenshift that I've been frequenting for damn near 25 years!!! So sad to see it as it is now, and it's pretty safe to say I won't be coming back. RIP greenshift comics!!!

Awesome spot! Love everything about it. Owner is a great dude, very knowledgeable and friendly & always willing to help you out. Great spot for unique Audio gear, pedals, & random guitar parts etc. Wish more places were as laid back and down to earth like this.

  • The Review Guy

Went there looking for guitar music books ended up stuck in there for almost an hour looking at everything else too. They have a lot more than books they also have vintage guitar amps, pedals, and audio equipment. Will most definitely shop there again!

Always a pleasure to stop by here, no matter who is working. And there is something for every entertainment lover. Comics, records, instruments, books, shirts, DVD'S, etc....if you can't find something here then you're a very boring individual.

Today was my first time going to Green Shift, the owner was extremely nice and let me stay a little over his closing time. I walked out with one of my grails for an incredible price. I was lost for words and couldn't say anything but thank

  • Philip Joseph

Records are in (G) to (P) condition and waaaaaay over priced! Like, extremely overpriced, I don't know who's doing the grading and who's doing the pricing but they've never heard of the Goldmine Grading process or doesn't seem like they've

  • Marie MonsterQueen

Very nice place. The owner is very kind and I like how it's a mixture of music and comics it's been awhile since I've been to a record store and it's nice to find a place you feel at home at. I regularly plan to come here from now on.

This is by far the Best comic book shop in the Tampa Bay area..I myself been buying comics from Don since 1992, and has always been treated like a star.. The other comic shops wish they had the success that Green Shift Comics has...

  • Steven Palukaitis

Great store--the term "don't judge a book by its cover" certainly applies to this place. New comics, a giant room of back issues will keep you busy for hours! Keep an eye out for their secret sales on back issues!

  • Terica Williams

Great place to find a rare piece of musical history or a great price on a new guitar, turntable, or comic book. Worth the drive from Lakeland anytime. We always find a treasure at Green Shift.

  • Mike Novak

Great shop, huge back issue selection, realistic prices. Lots of cool rock and roll nostalgia on top of the comics. Best store in Tampa, out of towners should go here first too.

  • homeskillakilla r

  • Mac The Comic Hunter

Great shop, and very knowledgeable on their comics. Best $2 book selection ive seen... small selection, but its worth it. The quality of their books is outstanding! - Jonathan

  • Brittani Wodicka

Nicely organized, guy at the counter was very helpful and is willing to order whatever is not in stock for a discount! Gave us a cool stranger things tee for free …

  • Daniel Ertle

Great place to find back issues & guitars. Their back issues are extensive including Japanese titles and magazines. Only complaint is the parking situation.

  • Ezell Lester

Nice place to find old comics and action figures from a forgotten time, glad to see it's still in business even though located in a smaller spot...

  • L Crumbsy

Always a pleasure to do business here. The owners very knowledgeable about stringed instruments and has always provided me with excellent service.

  • Andrew Gibson

Been going here for a few years now. Great place. Great deals. I actually just went yesterday and I'm going again today. Highly recommended

  • Sarah Jones

Really cool place. Has a wide variety of comic books, musical instruments, and other memorabilia you would find in a big comic book store.

  • Dan Schirato

Awesome selection. Reminds me of a lot of the older places around home. One of those places you can get lost in tons of classic stuff.

  • Kevin Koharski

Small space but a great selection of 1 and 2 dollar comics. I'll be returning often to round out some of my collection.

  • Kyle Willis (Art of Kyle Willis)

Ubered here and they wouldn't allow me to use their restroom. Well, you lost my business. Hope it was worth it.

  • Colleen Schirato

Great place for comics. Tons of back issues as well as all the new stuff. Awesome collection of records too.

  • Zachariah Edwards

Amazing selection and some great deals. Love being able to look through comics and look at records as well

  • Hampton Station

Awesome! Great selection of Used Records Comics and Vintage Instruments. A Seminole Heights original.

  • Ernest Haynes

A little bit scary shopping center, and they didn't have any Christmas music. Your mileage may vary.

  • jay mon

Awesome place with a big variety of comics. I've been going there for years since I was a teenager.
