Big thank you to Grid Motors I have a 2010GLK350 that had the electronic steering lock, lock in the lock position. Towed my car to two service shops. Both shops verified ESL was bad, but could not fix the issue as Mercedes has no ESL in stock and are on world wide back order. I started researching for solutions, came across videos from Grid Motors, I contacted Grid Motors, discussed my problem, they recommended the emulator. Sent ignition switch and key to Grid Motors. Grid Motors did one day turn around and I received the parts back in 3 days. Just finished removing the steering column, drilling out and removing the old ESL. Then reinstalling steering wheel and emulator. Connected battery, put key in ignition and car came to life, started up after a couple tries. Back on the road after being dead for about 35 days, thanks to Grid Motors and the great service.

Mercedes W204 ESL lock. Didn’t know about another W204 tick until she left me stranded. After some research, figured it was a failed ESL. After coming across Grind Motors/ Mustafa’s DIY, it stepped me through the process and gave me an alternative to restarting the ticking time bomb at a dealers quote of $3K. The bypass module was the way to go. DM’d Mustafa, he was quick to reply letting me know how to get the process started and turned the service with a great deal of urgency. When putting the Mercedes back together he was quick to respond with GREAT after sales support. Couldn’t be happier with the service provided and the accompanying value. Thanks Mustafa!

The ESL failed on my 2013 C Class Benz and it wouldn’t start anymore. Lots of calling around lead me to believe only the dealer could fix it. A 2-3 week back order for a replacement part turned into an indefinite wait. Other people have been waiting over 8 months. Who can leave their car not running for EIGHT MONTHS? I towed my car to these guys and they had it running again the very same afternoon for a fraction of what the dealer would charge. I can’t recommend them enough. 11/10 would bring car to again.

I've found the best auto mechanic in Hamilton! Mustafa and his team got my 12 yr old SUV back on the road on budget and on time. I've had poor experiences with auto repairs and poor customer service in the past but that wasn't the case with Grid Motors. Mustafa went out of his way to ensure the repairs were what was needed and then gave me the choice of parts and quality to fit my preferences. Best place in Hamilton for your vehicle’s electrical issues AND cutting new car keys. Mustafa and the team are the best when it comes to all things electric for your vehicle. They were through when it came to diagnose the starting issues I was having with my car when my other mechanic could not find the issue. MJ is very knowledgeable and quick to work and provide updates on your vehicle. I had a problem with my car that two other mechanics weren’t able to fix so I brought it to MJ. Not only did he fix it, but it was also a quick turn around. All in all, if you’re looking for somebody who you can trust to successfully diagnose problems on your car and fix them quickly, he is your guy!

My experience with Grid Motors was great! They helped me program an emulator with my key and ignition switch, which I shipped from the US. The service was exceptionally fast with great communication along the way. I received my parts in a well packaged shipment and it works perfectly. I was able to get my vehicle back on the road! MJ was extremely helpful in repairing my "start" issues. The FOB would unlock the doors, remote start but when the FOB in place in the dash, it would not allow the car to run. His repair was fast, and accurate. He had all parts in stock (unusual in these times of supply chain shortages) which made for a fast repair. I would highly recommend this company.
