As others have said, the issue is not with any staff member in particular but the service as a whole and specifically over a timeframe going back 12 months where the service has dropped significantly. The practice used to be well organised with good communications. It's not been possible for me to re-order repeat prescriptions from the app but without any specific reason - you're just left unable to get your medication unless you go into the practice. Called the practice twice, 20 minutes on hold the first time before getting my call cut off, then a further 38 minutes before I hung up as the call was just ringing out. It's not possible to book appointments using the Airmid app, NHS app or NHS website because the practice has disabled this functionality, making it even more difficult to book appointments. Administrative services like medical pro formas are also massively delayed, 12 weeks minimum whereas other practices have a 10 day turnaround. Personally the staff I've dealt with have been nothing but friendly and polite but communications and patient care leaves a lot to be desired at the time of writing this (Feb 2023). I hope the practice gets back to it's smooth running ways otherwise I'll end up changing practices for a better level of care.

I called on the dot of 8am this morning and it took 90!!!! Calls, also getting cut off and with some perseverance I finally got through at 8.45am! This is not acceptable at all. I know the practice are run off their feet and this is why I am writing this review for the manager of the practice because I didn’t want to have to shout at the receptionist over the phone although I was totally stressed out at this point! I am only in my 30s but what if that was an elderly person needing an urgent appointment? Something needs to change on the booking line or let patients book online telephone appointments, I have no complaints at all about that system as I order my medication via it. It would take the pressure off the phone lines and staff, but also be so much more convenient for patients. Please let me know what you are going to do about this in the future. Thank you
Please don't register here. I did before covid and it's been an absolute disaster. You simply cannot get to see a GP, I haven't since pre Covid. Despite being told over the phone I was risk of sepsis during covid by a nurse I was given advice not to go to accident and emergency. I eventually paid privately to see a consultant who was shocked at the standard of care I had received. I'm waiting for hospital test results for months, I'm supposed to have had a phone call about blood work, nope didn't ring on the day they said they would. If you ring in the morning for an appointment they just send you to urgent care or a and e. Really poor service levels, it's a shame as they had some nice people there pre covid. Definitely worth finding another practise if you can. I will be changing myself once I've done a bit of research.
Gone downhill unfortunately. I would of recommended this surgery previously but now I will not. I am going to be starting the process of leaving. Over the last few years there's been rude, patronising doctors, telling me I'm an overreacting new parent when concerned about reflux and allergies, (turns out he did have the allergies I thought he had) More recently I visited with suspected quinsy, the gp prescribed antibiotics and I spent the next few days in the worst pain, before going to hospital where they told me antibiotics would never clear the abcess alone and needed to have it drained. You queue for an hour from 8am to get through and be told no appointments and go elsewhere or try again the next day.
Everytime i call i am 8th in line and it takes 30min to finally get your turn. For appointment I ring 3x because first two time i had only 20min break so i could call them, which was not enough.. i didnt want to leave bad review, because the doctor I saw was actually really nice. But she suggested blood test, which i booked for.the day I can come. It was postponed 2x to the day I cannot. To rearrange it i had to wait on the phone for anothwr half an hour and finally my blood appointment is 3 weeks after i was originally seen. Probably it will take another month and 3x lost sample to get results to me. This practice is a joke and i will be looking for another one..
This service used to be really good. Years ago I never had an issue with getting an appointment, and now it’s impossible. What concerns me is the safety of patients. You call them and are in a queue (I’m usually happy to wait), only then to be cut off or it’s left to ring and ring. I’m trying to book my child’s flu vaccine and have had to use the e consult route. I don’t know what’s happened to this service but it needs some kind of help getting back on track.
The brick work and access ramp are good and the automated door works with silent efficiency. Unfortunately that's where the positives end. The Practice is fantastically understaffed and therefore gives a service that can only be described as utterly rubbish. From the moment they don't have the staff to answer the phone right to where you can't get an appointment- terrible.
I don't know where to begin here My 15 year old has had prescription lost 3 times. And they put in my 4 months old NHS number wrong so when taking him to the hospital they couldn't find anything on him Will be changing doctors would not recommend
Absolutely useless. Receptionists are extremely rude! You’re in a cue for ages and half the time that you eventually come off hold you are then left ringing for ages and no one picks up.
Never had a problem. Granted there's waiting times on the phone first thing, but got a same day appointment, in and out in 5 minutes with what I needed. …
