just like some of the reviews here - they do not care about tenants, it was a nightmare to end the lease there were not much on record no pictures just very simple checklist of the conditions at the start of lease (please do save yourself take as many pictures at the start) when it comes to end lease they would record every spot in the property and try to put all to your account. Well, unfortunately for Gunn&Co they Never thought of tenants would become Buyers! Thank you for the unfortunate service, we are now planning to buy our own property and of course they lost another buyer we will never to deal anything with Gunn&Co again Be Safe, Less Trouble, Stay Away from Gunn&Co. Reply to the owner Anthony: you are truly not aware of the situation and only follow up when it was all over and review posted here. There could be over hundreds of photos taken before the start of our lease but it was all within your internal department archives. It was never shared with us tenants in the conditions report and on the final inspection of our lease all the imperfections was suddenly happened to be on us. All proof only stands on one side only about end of our leasing but there was no proof to us of before commencement. My partner and myself only wanted the inspection to be over as soon as possible because every delay every day we were paying the utilities just to let the agent to do her work hence we agreed to rectify the issues as soon as possible and done with all. Understood you could be on very defensive mode here but it’s over, Anthony! Perhaps you could start to go through all your current leasing paperwork or digital files and photos and conditions reports with photos with your agents now rather than going back investigating all the past trying find proofs that we are simply posting unfair ratings and reviews on your company…no drama. Tenants and landlords beware. If you love being spoken to like pure garbage - choose Gunn & Co. I was a tenant with their agency, and I experienced hardship, having lost my job at Emirates along with half the world in March 2020. After finally getting the courage to seek support, I was treated like a second class citizen by their “rent relief team” (Leigh) when enquiring about LEGAL rent relief in line with government arrangements. The email trail beggars belief to this day. Thank god, my landlord showed human kindness, which they did not. Their communication was rude, patronising, unprofessional, judgemental and inappropriate, with commentary passed as to the legitimacy of my hardship, along with an illegal pet bond demanded from me for a rescue dog I saved from a property destroyed in the Black Summer Bushfires. How dare I have a dog if I’m poor. Thankfully now, I have a job, I own my own home and have an investment property. But I will never forget how unnecessarily horrific they were to my household, in a moment of global pain. It showed their true colours. I’m now happy I had this experience. Because it’s given me insight, empathy for others struggling and informed my choice in how I spend my money. I would choose ANY other possible agent in Melbourne to manage my property purchases, sales or leasing or deal with my tenants, simply to avoid Gunn & Co. I’m so incredibly fortunate to not be at their mercy any more and I remember it every day. I truly hope you’ve learned from the pandemic and trained your team in basic human decency. Do better. Your tenants might be future landlords.

I met Vesna a few years ago, she had come highly recommended from a neighbour whom had bought a house from her. Vesna then went on to sell my house, she was very professional and always courteous and friendly, Vesna gave good and accurate advice and also when time to present the house also added some help with the presentation. I recognised that Vesna was a hard worker doing her best at all times to achieve the best result, in saying that is also a great communicator and very fair, respectful to all parties involved. I would give 0 star if possible. These guys try to rip you off at the end of leasing. I have been leasing for many years with many different agents, always seeking for professional end of lease cleaning when moving out and never had any issue with bonds. These guys apparently have a very different standard. They will try to get you pay for everything that they somehow found in the property. Just remember to note every damage or wear or tear regardless how minor they are in the condition report when you move in. Just a friendly reminder to the leasing team staff here: please do the right thing, don’t lose your integrity because of the job and the company you working for… I will avoid Gunn & Co in the future.

Anthony is a refreshing change in our Real Estate experience in Newport. He's assessment of the value of our property was against the rest of the market and other estate agents in the area. After giving up on selling with other agents because the offers were too low. I received a call out of the blue two weeks later from Anthony, he had a buyer willing to offer 25k higher than the nearest offer. Anthony's buyer was ready to settle unconditionally in 28 days and the engagement cost us 2.5k less that other estate agents in the area with no advertising fee's.
