After many visits I am finally leaving this review. I've waited a long time as the store was new and I understand it can take some time to get things in order. However the store has been open for a long time now and on 9/10 visits I am waiting a minimum of 15 minutes for my food whether I order in store or through drive thru. I now order ahead via the app to escape this wait time yet somehow I still find myself waiting 10-15 minutes in store when it already took me 10 minutes to drive there. The wait time was something I was happy to look past though, it just became part of gyg, knowing only to come if I have the time to wait. My food on most occasions was good, sometimes it is cold - weird considering how long it takes to make my order but alas even cold gyg tastes okay so again I've been hesitant to complain. In recent months I've changed my order to nacho fries or a bowl instead of a burrito - so I definitely know what you expect when I come in. On my most recent visit after again a ridiculous wait time I was handed my food with no apology and then opened my food to see it no where no full. This was the straw that broke the camels back. As i said I have been a frequent visitor since the store first opened and have been okay with long wait times and cold food but when I pay $15 for one item I expect it to be full. I have put in a complaint via the app and they have said that is my fault and that the food has obviously shifted to the side. Why would I care if my food has shifted to the side if I just mix it all together anyway. After buying the same thing probably weekly now for the last few months I can ensure you that my food last week was no where near the quantity it usually is. I am shocked that your customer service team has the audacity to put the blame on the customer and not even say sorry. I wasn't looking for a hand out, I was just wanting to let the team know so that they can make sure it doesn't happen again, instead the company has taken no responsibility and continues to imply the food has simply shifted.

Sounds like this comes out of a movie but this is what happens at Guzmen in Melton. Arrive at 10.30pm with the parents for some late dinner and we order 3 enchiladas, two were correct and the third item took 20 minutes to arrive and with the wrong ingredients? Was the counter worker half asleep or was not interested in what the customer was ordering? - we had to ask for our large chips which also did not arrive and when they came with the enchilada the chips had to be taken back because they were cold. I completed my food and went to order a cone to which the next worker didnt even hand me my ice cream? What on earth are your workers doing Guzmen !? During this moment as I was standing I noticed my pants were ripped from the perforated chairs because the seated chair had been broken from the arm, thus having metal sticking up from it hooking onto my pants. ( can you believe this was my actual experience, because I am totally serious). I was told boss would call me back tomorrow because he/she was going to sleep who was not at the store and here I am two days later trying to call the store and there is no answer. With the evidence of my two family members this may seem like a moment I share this woth ACCC and also am compensated for my pants. Fix your store and do your duty of the health and safety towards your customers or close your close because this is not on for anyone who wants to simply enjoy their experience ! We spent $81.00 and would of preferred 2 minute noodles after this experience. The female manager on the night was nice and thats basically all that we appreciated with two of the enchiladas. A family outing becomes a moment of complaining which I absolutely do not enjoy doing for the sake of it, step your game up.

What shocking service I have never experienced anything quite like it. Ordered on the app and the app froze after submitting and it didn't provide an order number, it did however take the money out of my account. I asked for them to check my order and was told there was no order and it hadn't gone through. (I was understanding at this point you know things happen) so I showed my receipt and asked for a refund. I was advised that I couldn't have a refund or the order that I wanted without resubmitting and would have to raise a PayPal dispute or put in a request to head office for a refund. They refused to help claiming its franchise and basically not their problem. We reloaded the app 3 times still no order. I requested to speak with a manager because surely this was incorrect information that the customer is the one that is to be out of pocket $65 and responsible for chasing it up themselves. I was told the same thing in addition to this "This actually happens alot" if it happens alot I'm wondering why the issue isn't fixed and how the process is still to wipe your hands of it and make it the customers issue. This went on for over 20 mins when on the 4th reload of the app showed my ordered number and they then found my order which had been sitting there time stamped 20mins earlier going cold and soggy. I asked for a refund again as we didn't order cold and soggy food and was told I would need to request with GYG head office as they cant refund. To make it worse they had the cold drinks in with the food. This was the first and last trip for us. If you do end up at this store do not use the app!

We came to GyG for dinner on Monday night instead of our usual Mexican place. Wish we hadn't. When we were ordering, the young girl taking our order looked so bored and was talking in a way that made us feel like we were bothering her. I actually felt really uncomfortable, so I didn't order what I wanted because I just wanted to get away from her as quickly as possible. We ate dine in. I've ordered menulog before, and my food was cold when I got it but I figured it was just because it had cooled down during travel. But no, from the kitchen to our table, the pulled pork on my nachos was warm in some places and ice cold like out of the fridge in other places and same with my partners burrito. So now not only was the service poor, but the food was cold and soggy AND hazardous. I have been feeling sick in my stomach since Monday. Food poisoning and salmonella are serious, and your staff need serious training in food safety. To be able to assemble the food is not enough, they need to understand food safety before they are allowed anywhere near anyone else's food. And IF the already have it then they need a refresher. They forgot my partners drink until we asked and the girl who bought that out was nice. Dont think we'll be eating here again.

First time trying Guzman Y Gomez. Will not be coming back again. - Ordered 2 burrito meals and a quesadilla. (Dine In) - ordered at 11:30am, at 12:00 we realized no one walked around with a tray to find us. - Went to the counter to ask what's going on, we were handed a takeaway bag that had been clearly just sitting in the warmer. - Asked why we hadn't been given our meal sooner, they said they "walked around and couldn't find us" even though we'd been sitting here for 30 minutes with our table number clearly displayed. No idea why it was in a takeaway bag, even though we had a "Dine In" on the receipt. - Quesadilla ($8) had a smallest bit of pork in it, with some cheese. No idea how they are charging $8 for it, for something that would cost $1 worth of ingredients. - Burritos had ZERO flavour, and smallest amount of meat, mostly packed with rice... Another joke. - The chips were the best thing about our whole order. Total order was $52 dollars, complete waste of money.

Amazing store run by amazing team!! We were tired and famished after a long day. We were planning to go to the city for food.. but drive past this place and saw that they were open. We drove in thinking we could possibly order takeaway even if they were closing. We were greeted by Justice who melted away our fatigue. She was all smiles and we loved her positive energy. She was very patient, waiting for us to make our choices despite it was near closing time. Mom wanted chicken tenders and she went out of the way to fry them for her. We thought we were gonna take the food and eat in the car but Justice invited us to dine in and explained that they could not serve after 12am but we were welcomed to dine in. We were elated as we wanted to sit and enjoy our meal after a long day. Thank you Justice. We enjoyed our meal thoroughly and thanks for making our day pleasant. ❤️

What can I say … drive thru absolutely ridiculous food was wrong then fries cold my husband had to run inside to get these fresh . Then we couldn’t hear a word they said over the loud music they had going thru drive thru from in store . Then few you g girls laughing carrying on at window with a make there who was serving us . We felt like this is run by immature teens . Then as we took food in as was cold there were 3 staff members sitting out side on table chairs eating smoking . Isn’t this a family food done in area no customer service what so ever this place is so slow ridiculous service . You have lost us that’s for sure . Teens maybe hire adults to run this show bring it back from 3 starts to 5 .

Guzman y Gomez you let the whole experience down. Drive through staff amazing and helpful and that is where it stopped. Ordered a Soft taco, Beef Quesadilla in a meal deal whole thing came to $21.80 overpriced. Then the food was rubbish. Chips cold. Beef Quesadilla was lacking filling was only in 1 quarter of the bread and the slow cooked beef was chewy and dry and and flavourless. The Taco presentation was lazy. I wished I could have taken a photo but was driving. The taco was open with minor ingredients vey Poor. I suggest takes some tips from Taco Bell. Taco Bell wins hands down. .get your act tougher Guzman y Gomez.

Staff were efficient and friendly, they’re quite good for a store that’s just opened! Got a few $3 tacos and it hit the spot perfectly. Good price for a good taco. Got two of the cali burritos and they were perfectly filled with flavour, not too much guac or fries; every ingredient had shown. Tried the frozen pink lemonade with vodka and it was such a good cocktail! Had to finish the night with some churros and it came out fresh, hot and satisfying. Sooo pleased with it all. For anyone ordering, take into account the busy peaks for lunch and dinner time, and also how busy drive through is, because these guys can get really busy, and doing really well for a new store.

By far the worst food we have had from a GYG. Took well over an hour before it was delivered, the order was pending for 30 minutes minimum. Food finally arrived after an hour and was absolutely disgusting, it was that soggy it may aswell have been delivered in a bucket of water. The Breakfast burrito was tatseless as was the quesadilla, the added chorizo consisted of 3 peices throughout the whole burrito. To top it off they forgot the churros and hash browns. Pretty poor GYG, it's a shame as Caroline Springs has been perfect.

On sunday the 5th nov 2023 My fiancé went through drive through and it took a crazy long time but that’s not even the worst, We woke the next day incredibly sick We were given food poisoning. We have spent all day throwing up, and on the fkn toilet because of your food Not to mention my fiancé has a casual position at his work, so if he doesn’t go in, he doesn’t get paid. It’s also his birthday tomorrow so he may be potentially sick which is just awesome (sarcasm) Thank you so much for making us sick.

Was excited about GYG opening in Melton but a total let down already. Download the app so I could order in advanced but the app doesn't even show the store at all and closest one was burnside store Went in person and couldn't give me a time frame to order and collect food since I was on my lunch break. The lady greeting people in the line didn't even bother to go and see how long the wait would be. Talk about great customer service. With 15 to 20 staff members standing around in the parking lot you'd think they jump in and help out to make it a more streamline opening but was wrong about that too. Great work GYG off to solid start

Where do I even begin man. Anything that could have gone wrong, went wrong. My partner and I got two bowls with added ingredients different to each other. She ordered extra guac, I ended up with the guac. She removed onions, she got my onions. We both added coriander, I got both serves of coriander. Wait time is suspect but I understand on a Friday night their might be a delay. But when you have a dozen staff (yes I counted) goofing around without a braincell between them it's hard not to notice the problem. Absolute dunces working at Melton GYG

The veggie nachos and burrito are actually quite enjoyable. Comming from a meat eater that is a big compliment.

Workers are very busy at times but they are always looking towards the service entrance to make sure people aren't just standing there and waiting but on this visit we picked up our order we didn't check the meals and assumed all was good six buckets of chips were in the order and paid for but only one bucket of chips were there and it was inconvenient we were given the money back and they were sincerely sorry for the order so food great and all good thanks Guzman y Gomez

Went for dinner have been a few times tonight 29/5 was served by a young lady who was clearly in training as another server was overseeing her take the order this young lady (wish she was wearing a name tag) was the best server I have had in a long time so polite friendly and a big smile when bringing the food to our table exactly the same service and the same friendly smile she deserves to be praised and will be an asset to your store.

- Quick Service - Plenty parking - Adequate staff - 5 star overall It was very busy but would say service was very quick. Good thing is the management has adequate staff on site even on weekend, despite being so busy we got order in just couple of minutes. Has plenty parking ️ available as its in big parking lot. Food quality was good too. Packaging was also nice. Only thing that we miss was external ceiling heaters were not operational, however they were installed but just were not working.

Being a home grown Aussie, and not very familiar with fast food mexican food, I was pleased to say that food quality was exceptional, tasty and very fresh. A notable worker named Abi who I think was a manager, was super helpful in selecting my meal. Super friendly and made the experience overall pleasant

Great staff with very fast service, being a new location they are looking to make a good impression on the locals and it seems they have done just that. My only gripe is when I order online and go in to collect I have given them my order number and waited then had to provide it again because it was missed. Waited 30 minutes in drive through and the food was stone cold. We usually get from deer park and we will be going right back there instead of Melton. Couples things. 1. They always mess up my order, even when it’s just myself and one other customer first thing in the morning? Massive lack of attention to detail/care at this location. 2. They skip out on the Pico de gallo+ other extras added to burritos. Every time man…every time. I’m paying for it, so let me have it???! This generally isn’t a GYG issue. Just a Melton location issue. These are pretty simple things so being new isn’t really an excuse.

Nice outdoor area, quick, yum. The staff are all warm and smiley too Edit: also, they have free salsa tubs! Normally I use the one near Caroline springs, and they're fine. This 1 is a disaster. i got my order in about 5 minutes while the place was packed. fries were nice, neither dry nor undercooked. the soft tortillas were nice but at $9 for 2 small tacos i expected a little more filling, especially meat. what little flavor the slow cooked beef had was mildly unpleasant. the chicken was neutral. the worst part was the so-called cheese which tasted like pure concentrated salt.

Best GYG in Melbourne right now! We're from Williamstown and came here for my birthday Burritos are filled perfect and don't favour rice over the other ingredients like the other stores do Keep up the great work guys!

Took the kids to Melton restaurant for lunch. First time attending and wasnt familiar with their menu. Asked for some assistance with the menu. I enjoyed my first try of Guzman y Gomez. I had the Cali Chicken Spicy & chips and it was great! Considering how busy it was, I was surprised as I thought it was going to be slapped together, however it was jammed packed full of ingredients, spicy and very enjoyable for takeaway. I will definitely visit again.

I dine in almost weekly, staff are always so so friendly! Dealing with the public is HARD, your positive attitudes do not go unnoticed ⭐️ and of course the food is gooddd !!! ☺️

We dined in, Staff were very friendly as soon as we walked in the door where they also explained everything that the meal comes with. Food did take a while to come out but it was to be expected as the line was out the door and drive through was also busy. Would definitely go back and give it another try.

Love Gyg but the last couple of times I’ve had no cheese on my burrito and I made sure that my one does comes with it. Also I ordered a small meal which means I should of got a 390ml bottle but instead I got a can ‍♂️

Honestly, this is my favourite food ever. I always get vegetarian nachos. It was a pregnancy craving and now just my go too meal. I would give 5 stars except the nachos are not always consistent. Sometimes ingredients are missing like the beans. Still my favourite thing though. More

On day of opening service was super fast. 2 days later I decided to go again but at drive thru. From the time I entered the drive thru Que and received my Sunday, took 18 minutes! No more than 8 cars ahead of me. Will definitely be going back to burnside.

I know your new but dined in and had to send everything back. All the order was either wrong or cold. Yes it was all replaced but not great when your waiting again for new food. Also at the time we were there isn't wasn't very busy.

Fun experience. Meals are a bit pricey, but filling. Needed more staff to clear and wipe tables.

Look I've been here many times. But the last 2 times I have gone. The churros have been stale.. And this time I went they missed items from my order. Overall the staff are lovely. But I probably won't come back for a while.

Everytime i come to this location and ask for smokey Chipotle salsa they give me Chipotle mayo, they don't even bother to ask which one they assume it's Chipotle mayo.
