Last week I entered this salon after making an appointment a month in advance.I had talked to the stylist and showed him What I wanted my hair to look like or something similar. During The time I was there the stylist was polite And attentive to my needs however there was a mishap where they triple booked my appointment and I was forced to go with something that I didn't really agree on. I am happy that the colour though came out well however I felt upset that I was treated in such a way after spending a significant amount of money on a colour service and blow out. The stylist said he did not have time to do my blowout and The Is receptionist and the stylist tried to convince me to leave with my hair recently bleached wet when that was something i didnt want because i had a big event the coming Saturday. I was upset because I had an event on Saturday and my hair did not reflect what I wanted nor was it in good condition. 2 days after I had Gone for my service I ended up having to go to another salon for them to blow out my hair and give me a haircut cause my ends were completely fried. It wouldn't have upset me so much if I hadn't called several times requesting to use my olaplex products And after doing my due diligence to ask for somebody who knew how to handle 3B 3C type texture. My ends are now A lot looser than when I came in And it upsets me because I am a curly girl and I leave my hair naturally curly. I'm afraid that when I wash my hair next I will not be able to leave my hair in its natural state due to the inconsistent curl pattern i now have .I spent 2 years nurturing my hair and making sure it was healthy. Just to now have to redo that process again. I feel as though I spent unnecessary money that I did not have . To add insult to injury they were going to charge me again to finish what was started . I ended up canceling that appointment after mulling over what had transpired .I was a 1st time client to this salon and I do not think I will be returning due to this experience. I do however hope that my experience does not deter people from going to the salon But I encourage people to do their due diligence when choosing a stylist and choosing a salon. I want to give the salon a couple tips -One if you have accidentally triple books a client let them know in advance before the process is started so they can adjust To the situation. -2 It would have been better for the stylist or receptionist to have told me in the beginning that they didn't have time and I wouldn't have asked for something different And I wouldn't have to go through the rebuilding of my hair again due to them rushing. -3 do your due diligence in making sure that Services are timed out appropriately. I'm sad that I had to spend a significant amount of money on something that I could have done at another salon And that would have been done a lot neater And where I would have not felt like I was being rushed out or that I was inconvenience. And though thankfully the colour came out Good it wasn't exactly what I requested nor is my hair in a health state anymore I was assured when I 1st came into the salon and when i had called several times that bond maintenance products were being used but it seems like that was a lie. It is better to be honest with your client and let them know that you do not have bond maintaining products and have them make a decision based upon that or allowing them to bring in their own product that they've used before that they know works. I'm sad that I will not be patroning your establishment again Because I am not sure that I can trust this salon to do my hair the way that I wanted to. I'm sad that I might not be able to wear my hair the way I normally do because the process wasn't done In a way that I could keep my Curl pattern and feel like my hair shouldn't have had this much breakage . Also i feel as thou i was over charged for the process . How ever i donot expect you guys to remedy this because of the other reviews i have read .

Long review So this was my first time visiting the salon and I'm afraid might be the last. I really wanted it to work. This review is based on my experience and not reflective of the other locations or staff. I originally scheduled an appointment the day before but had to cancel last minute. So I rescheduled for the following day. I have natural hair - 4c and needed someone who knew how to do my hair type and a silk press. Confirmed with the person on the phone that the stylist could work with my hair. On the day of the appointment, I was looking forward to it because it's mother's day weekend and wanted to look nice. I got a text that my stylist was out due to an emergency. Bummer. They offered to reschedule but everyone else was in the afternoon and I really needed it to be in the morning. Went online, found someone available in the morning at a different location and booked another appointment. Big mistake. I got there and met the stylist who I could tell was either nervous or new. I was trying to understand what came with the package I selected but couldn't get clarity. He kept going back and forth to the person I assumed was the manager. When I couldn't get any clarity, I showed a picture of a style I wanted but was told I wouldn't have time for it because he had another client coming in. At that point, I gave up. Didn't look like they were trying to work with me or understand my needs - especially being a new customer. I expected that they would try to get to know me and my hair journey etc..(that you get when you go to a natural hair salon). Anyway, he started by washing my hair and I kid you not, I spent only about 2 mins or less there! Did not touch the back of my hair I asked about a conditioner, I was told it didn't come with the package I selected..I have natural hair for goodness sake!! I need a conditioner.. I didn't even get a moisturizer to say the least! My hair was dry Right after the wash, he started putting mousse on my hair no oil, no moisturizer, nothing! At that point, I was done. After putting mousse on my dry hair, he proceeded to give me a cut that looked nothing like what I wanted. All in all, I didn't have a stellar experience. Plus no one showed up after my appointment, at the time they mentioned, so I would've probably had time to do another style. I did share my concern with a staff and I think she took some money off? Anyway, I'm sure there are skilled natural hair stylists there, so if you want one, my advice is, get on their calendar. Pros - efficient scheduling system - you can get an appointment easily

The most horrible service I have ever received! I loved Lacey and how she does color. But as long as she works there I refuse to see her at this location. They depend heavily on an automated system to schedule, reschedule or cancel appointments. I made an appointment to see Lacey today for my niece and myself. They had an 10am available and an 11:30am. I took the 10am and try to schedule the 11:30 for my niece. I called the number Lacey gave me like 10 times last night to schedule it and couldn’t. It would only let me schedule an hour later for 2pm. I tried calling since 9:27 this morning. I called 7 times and dm’d Lacey on instagram and no one got back to me. I even texted with the stupid robot. I was calling to change my appointment to the 11:30 am slot that at 10 am was still available. I started calling about every 10 min to notify that I was running late due to traffic and no one would answer. So I kept driving to our appointment, we drove 2 hours. At 10:25am I get a call from the manager that they won’t be able to see me. As I’m parking in the front. I ask if the 11:30 is still available and she says no. I tell her that I’ve been calling since 9:27 this morning to move my appointment, I tell her how her texting system wouldn’t let me change the appointment even though it was still available if they would’ve answered the phone, or replied to my text, or Lacey could’ve answered me on instagram. I even emailed!! No accommodations or apologies were offered. As a customer I knew I was running late due to traffic and attempted find a solution for the business and myself. I did my due diligence to not waist there time and mine. I tried to communicate and compromise and was welcomed with negativity and excuses that the manager was late and didn’t check messages or their emails for 2 hours! I went inside and told Lacey I won’t be back. The inner working of the office has nothing to do with the customer. To top it off Lacey was still busy with the client the was scheduled before me. How was she going to help me at 10:25 and she was still drying hair from the previous appointment ?! Anyways I was very confused and unhappy. I cancelled my nieces 2 pm appointment. My normal hair service that I do twice a year, usually runs me $350 and up (tip not included), and we were 2 customers willing to pay. I hope the inner workings of the office get resolved so business loss of $700-$1100 don’t keep happening. Walk in to schedule; don’t call, don’t text, don’t email. They don’t answer maybe that way communication between you and this business will be easier and better.

i went here in february but the experience still haunts me. called and texted with the manager before scheduling my appointment, she quoted me $200 or so roughly, but when i was told the price was upwards of $500 after my hair was done it was hundreds more than she quoted me - was literally shaking and crying i couldn't even hold back the tears (so embarrassing because ive worked service for years i never put employees in a position like that but i was so shocked). when i told them my quote and first time discount discussed with the manager, they managed to bring it down a little but it was still WAY more than i could afford, and i didn't even have a good experience/get the result I asked for i had silver/white hair going in and just needed my roots touched up + a pastel pink dye job. i showed desired pictures and said "soft pastel baby pink" i walked out with HIGHLIGHTER pink. also halfway through the blowout and extra stuff they talked me into, the hairdresser had another appointment and couldn't finish. i have thick curly italian hair - i felt awful sitting there with dark pink highlighter hair and half my head being ripped at with a brush and left unfinished. someone else eventually came over and KIND OF finished the drying but it was so poorly done and honestly a nightmare experience for something that should have been really easy - dying over white/silver hair...... the second time i've ever been to a salon and was enough to make me never go to one again. i should have just spent $40 on overtone and done it myself but i wanted to treat myself for valentines day from what i understand, the management is a major issue here. this feedback i'm leaving for the management. as i'm sure a lot of people going here for touchups get a fine simple service. but this experience still haunts me and you have to know that. unacceptable way to run a business. don't overbook your workers, don't misquote people and then charge them hundreds extra.

After a month of living with a not good hair cut/balayage from another salon, I walked into Hair & Co essentially in tears- I had lost my curls, my hair was super dry/unevenly colored and I couldn't stand to look at it anymore. Like most women, my hair is a big part of my identity and so I came in and set the bar pretty high. Jenny and the whole Hair & Co team made me feel right at home from the moment I walked in. They offered me a beverage (I chose Rosé... I needed it), I waited very comfortably for my appointment in their cute little backyard space, and when I finally sat down and Jenny assessed my hair, I knew that I was in good hands. Jenny is a hair scientist. She took into account my curl pattern, my hair's natural root color and what the rest had been dyed to, and she made some amazing executive decisions to make my hair beautiful again WITHOUT having to re-dye it and dry it out further. She used some deep conditioning treatments that day as well as recommended the perfect shampoo/conditioner and products to use in my hair once I left. Check out my Before and After! As if this review couldn't get better- one of the hair products Jenny recommended doesn't really work well with my hair, so today I called and they told me I can exchange it for more of the product that did work, up to 14 days after purchase. Jenny changed my summer for the better and I'm so thankful!

I am new to the area and was in need of a haircut. With curly hair and nightmare experiences throughout my life, I am very nervous about going to new places for haircuts, etc. I was hoping to have a color renewal as well (COVID has really not be a good look for me :P ) and after looking through many reviews and photos I booked an appointment with AnnaLisa. I was right on time to my appointment, but at the wrong location (make sure you triple check your address when you're navigating for the first time!!!!!!! - the locations aren't so far away that you will notice the error just based on the timing) and so by the time I got to my appointment at the correct location I was 20 minutes late. AnnaLisa worked with me to accommodate my hopes for the appointment while still maintaining the same scheduled time so that her next client wouldn't be stuck waiting on me for that extra time. At first I was so disappointed that I made the mistake because I thought I was not going to get the outcome I had been looking forward to, but she did everything in her power to make the color and cut work out in time, AND she talked me through the whole process so that I was very clear on how much she was cutting, what the color would look like, how the style would be done, etc. I look forward to hopefully continuing on with a new regular hair stylist after a long search!

I really sorry to write a bad review, but I'm so sad of my experience. After doing a lot of research, I made an app for color and cut with Toni Ann. I went here and asked for as blonde as possible and haircut, I wanted something fresh for a summer. The stylist was nice and It looks like she knows what she is doing, but at the end my hair looked terrible. It was full head highlights, but at the back, I have a lot of untouched hair. The area near my ear colored horrible there are stripes with a different color yellow/orange/brass I look like a tiger. I think the stylist knows that she did a bad job cause she took a picture of my hair "before" and posted on her instagram story, but she didn't even take the picture "after", cause it was horrible, so she didn't want to show this picture on her instagram and later I saw that she deleted the picture "before". Not only color is awful, the haircut was the worst. I asked to cut my hair one straight line bob but I got granny's haircut with layers so now I can't go with a loose hair, I have to grow my hair out for at least 3 months and pony tail is my only option. Staff were nice and hospitable, that's why I gave 1 star, but the result is awful and I paid 400$ +80$ tips and what I got is awful haircolor and haircut which is embarrassing to go out with. I will never come back.

I went in for a haircut and style, which includes a shampoo and blow dry, and a curl/flat iron add on. The total was $85 for the stylist I chose and I paid half online before I arrived. I let it go that the stylist was running an hour behind schedule and I let it go that the flat iron wasn't quite as good as I do at home, but what made me decide to write this review was that after the blow dry, the stylist asked me if I wanted the flat iron I booked, or a silk press. I asked what the difference was and they said a flat iron is using the flat iron on large sections and a silk press is using the flat iron on small sections. I have thick hair so I chose small sections. They told me that since I was getting a haircut, it wouldn't cost much more. I said OK -- big mistake. Because they charged me $95 for the flat iron. $95 is more than double the original price quoted and nowhere near "not much more." I ended up paying and leaving a tip because I'm not great at sticking up for myself. Though I did tell both the stylist and the receptionist person that if I had been told the price of the silk press, I wouldn't have said yes and neither offered to remove it. Overall, I think the stylist was nice, but I really didn't appreciate the significant price increase. I just felt lied to and taken advantage of.

I made the mistake of going to Hair and Co to re dye my hair that had grown out. They told me that I would need to have more than just highlights since my hair had grown out but they promised my hair would be the honey blonde color that my ends were. It was much more expensive but I was willing to do that. Instead of doing my hair how they promised they ended up bleaching my whole head. The ends of my hair were fried, it was uneven, and my hair was extremely damaged. It looked like a DIY bleach job. When I called to see if I could get my money back, they said all they could do was offer to fix it for free but I had already been to another place to get it fixed. They said they could give me a complimentary service but I am never letting them touch my hair again. Other than that, they said that there was nothing else they could do and refused to give me my money back. All I wanted was my money back as it was very expensive and they ruined my hair. I hope no one ever goes to this salon and experiences what I did. To top it off when I told my roommate about the experience she let me know that she also got her hair horribly messed up here. The hairstylists here are real professionals. I have thick, dark hair with a lot of premature greying, which has made it very difficult to get the proper color & look with past stylists. After years of highlights, processes and dyes my hair needed careful attention due to its porosity with dyes. After our first process, Annalisa and I both agreed I'd have to come back for another second session in order to lighten the color again to achieve the result we wanted. She was so understanding and stayed in contact with me the entire week before our second appointment. Annalisa and the team (also big thanks to ToniAnn and Jenny for their help!) went above and beyond to use the right products and preserve the integrity of my processed hair. I truly appreciated the thorough explanations (being in the healthcare/science field) of the reactions in each product. Their cohesive teamwork and attention to details were impressive, I hadn't experienced anything similar with any previous salons (some very high end) since I started dealing with my grays 16 yrs ago. Needless to say, i am so grateful to have this professional and lovely establishment in my neighborhood, thank you!!

Had my appointment today. Very disappointed. Usually I color my hair myself, but because I am going on vacation, I decided to go to the professional salon to color my hair and to get a haircut, plus I wanted to try peekaboo hair color and this salon was the first that came out on Google for that, so I called and they made an appointment for me with Emmi. When I came in everybody were very friendly. I showed Emmi pictures of what I wanted(hair color, peekaboo color, as well as, the haircut). She seemed very understanding, but when it came to the results, she did totally and completely the opposite of what I was asking for regarding the color of my hair and especially the haircut. I was so disappointed that I started to cry. Thankfully Cristine came to the rescue. She fixed the haircut, but the hair color I will try to fix it myself tomorrow morning. And the peekaboo the number one reason why I wound up at this particular salon, doesn't look like it was done professionaly, but it looks like someone touched the ends of my hair with the Brilliant Green. It's a shame that Cristine wasn't the one that I had my appointment with in the first place.

Stacy Ann did absolutely genius work with my hair. I came to her in a truly sorry state, needing to have most of my always-long hair cut off. I never thought I could possibly like how I looked with short hair. I think there are probably very few stylists out there who could have done such an absolutely brilliant job with what she had to work with when I walked in the door. She was incredibly patient with me and made me feel totally comfortable and at home and like she had zero judgement for my terrible hair. She put her years of knowledge and expertise, very skillful hands and artful eyes to work, to create something that made me feel brand new and cool and flirty, instead of ashamed of my hair how I’d been feeling. I really don’t even have the words to describe what an incredible job she did. She has an amazing aesthetic eye, and she’s so good at what she does. The salon environment overall was also really great—it’s a very beautiful and welcoming space; it felt like such a great atmosphere to be in. I absolutely 100% recommend Hair & Co. and Stacy Ann specifically!! Thank you so much, Stacy Ann and the whole team at Hair & Co.!

Update 2: One of the owners followed up after the negative update and was apologetic and very thoughtful. Understanding that there was nothing to negate the added stress on the wedding day- they came up with with a fair way to make things right moving forward. I appreciated how it was handled after the fact. Update 1: They called 1 hour before my bridal updo appt and said the person they scheduled me with just doesnt do updos. And I could get a blow out. I know mistakes happen, but this was egregious and really dampened the day. They also have done nothing to make it right. The receptionist was sorry, but the salon itself seems apathetic. Original Review: Had an appointment for cut and color with a new stylist, Daniel. He was exceptional and help guide me on cut and color with out being pushy, and I am beyond happy with the results. I have long, fine thick hair and the long layers he gave me frame my face so well and put some bounce back in my hair. Looking forward to my next appointment!

Went twice to get my blonde blonde on and get a haircut. Won’t be going again. Friendly staff but I really came away feeling scammed. First time, the stylist asked if I was interested in looking at some color saver products, I said yes... then the receptionist handed me a bag at the end with shampoo and conditioner and $40 price tag. I was flustered so I took it, but she didn’t show it to me or let me smell it or anything, just rang it up. Second time, she mucked up my color and made my hair purple, so had to sit for an extra 45 min while she undid the mistake. Didn’t get a blowout or style, left with wet hair, was late to work and but the charge for the blowout was still on my bill. Luckily I read the itemized list before paying and they took it off. Also my hair had a pink tinge for a week which was...not cute. Overall, the stylist felt a little careless and inexperienced. It was unreasonably expensive and I felt scammed, not pampered. I don’t recommend this spot.

Would’ve given two stars until I got hit with sneaky up-charges at checkout. Do NOT go here if you have type 4 hair or any style black women typically wear their hair in. I had the worst blowout for a weave ever. The stylist was nice but clearly unequipped to work on weaves despite the salon assuring me they can. When he “finished” neither my weave or braids underneath were fully dry - fully thought I was being punk’d. It was clear he was rushing to finish my service for another client who came in and I had to go home and finish laying down the frontal myself and despite me going under the dryer a couple times (by demand) my hair under the tracks was still wet. You as a stylist should how to properly dry hair no matter how junior you are…. This salon needs to do better - don’t say you work with certain types of hair when you don’t. And tell your clients UPFRONT what the charges are. Will not be returning

Hair and Co has a beautiful sunlit space in Brooklyn with very, very experienced and versatile stylists! Melinda has been doing my cut and color for years now and when she moved to Hair and CO I made the move with her! I feel very lucky to have found someone that takes the time and energy to style my hair with an outside of the box approach. I have flat, thin blonde hair that she has somehow transformed into looking volumous and healthy. I am very specific about my hair!! Despite its total natural look, there were definitely a lot of pro techniques that got my hair looking like it does, and she has perfected the art and the science of it. I have also referred my curly haired friends as she is really very experienced in all types of hair. I myself usually get a balayage which is always perfectly blended and sun kissed, with a toner that also gets rid of any unwanted yellow tones. Thumbs up!

I came in Saturday morning and everyone was very welcoming. They sat me on the chair and they asked me how I wanted to cut my hair. Mat was hospitable but I felt the service was sloppy and not very detail oriented. Mat tried to finish the hair cut quicker then he could. He missed several details which I mentioned I would like to be done and on top of that he had poor knowledge of using a blade and cut me on the back of my neck several times. At the time I didn't realize and when I got home it made sense why my neck was hurting and why he never showed me with a mirror how the back of my head was. He was clearly dishonest and didn't have the courage to come forward and apologize for his mistake. Instead he stayed silence, didn't show me with a mirror on the back was cut and told me I was done. Terrible experience in general. I will definitely not return or recommend the salon to anyone.

I’m sharing this so that no one else ends up like me. I went in for a blowout, layers, and a trim, and left with half of my hair density. I showed Lacey what I wanted, she asked if I wanted to thin out some of my thick hair, and I said yes because I assumed it was a trim, not a shearing tool. Next thing I knew, half of my hair was on the floor and even one of the associates said it looked like someone sheared a dog . That was $120 with tip (I felt guilty about not tipping even if the service was terrible). I left, and cried. After emailing the owner they were very helpful in arranging a Re-do. Hilary did the BEST she could do to even out the choppy sections from Lacey’s work, but even 2 months later my hair feels so different. Overall, great Management and Hilary is an angel, but questionable stylist staff.

Underwhelming experience unfortunately. I was super specific about what I wanted and did not seem to get it. Was also given tense energy if I tried to discuss any tweaks based on what I was seeing as we went. Looking for a hair salon that has a culture of being open to feedback and putting the customer first as opposed to a pressure to do it right the first time. The pressure that they put on me to have a positive outlook on something that I didn’t like only got them a one time tip, bad review and a customer that will never return. Generally nice people, i just wish they had an customer based culture (and not only when the customers opinion is positive). Would’ve definitely been a returning customer if I felt herd, atmosphere was nice otherwise. But your hair is your identity, it’s pretty important.

After showing up for a consultation for my son and showing a video of what I desire for him and he desired as well as well the job was not completed So dissatisfied with the results and explain to the manager, that if I came back that my request would be fulfilled being the 1st one there for their appointment and the last one to leave when it's closing it's never a good sign over a good sign I trusted this place once have went with my gut instinct the 2nd time but I didn't I tried them a second time and again they failed never to return back to this place again I can't understand why it would take 10 hours To do one person's head person's head my son has gone to other establishment where has only taken them 2 hours.

Ok so let me tell you...Melinda is the best stylist I've ever crossed paths with, and I've had my share of hairdressers all around the world. She is one of those magical people who take you on a journey from the time you come in til when you leave, and she makes everything so effortless. Because she is such a fascinating person, having conversation during the cut made it feel like it was done in a blink of an eye. She swooped in and made my hair look fantastic! She knew exactly what I wanted and I didn't even have to pay attention during the cut to make sure it was going well. A talented stylist who gets the job done with charm and gusto...You must visit Hair&Co! P.S. They shared some excellent coffee with me.

I have cochlear implants, which means I often can’t hear for most of a haircut session (I have to take them off during the wash and cut, which leaves me completely deaf), and Annalisa was super accommodating and understanding on how to work around that! :) She also gave fantastic advice on working with the hair type I have and instantly recognized that it was naturally curly (even though I arrived with my hair wet from a shower— I thought “How did she know?!”), and I love the look she gave me! I’m a first-time customer, but I’ll definitely be coming back. Thank you for the fantastic haircut and experience! I was nervous to find a place in NYC and will definitely be recommending this place to anyone else.

Did a walk-in and was thrilled they were able to take me, what a treat! I worked with Kathy who was wonderful, bright and friendly the moment she introduced herself. When I sat down she asked what I wanted to do, i have really long curly hair, I had no idea beyond, cut off dead ends and shape it up, she made some great suggestions and really listened to my input. As she was shampooing me she asked if I have any allergies, something I don’tthink anybody’s asked me before. The products they use are vegan and non toxic, I feel good using them. A little over a hour later I walked out with a healthy head of curls, and cleaned up ends. I look forward to going back again to keep my hair healthy!

Got matched with Yenni and it was a wonderful experience. The level of care and attention with my hair was awesome, and her easy going and honest sensibility made it so easy to bring up all of my hair care concerns / questions. (Although she just seemed to get it right away so I didn’t have to ask too much!) I’m Asian, with naturally curly and coarse hair. I appreciated her ability to work with my natural curls and preferred level of maintenance. I have already booked my next appointment with her and am looking forward to it!

I was pleased with my cut and color, but the sneaky extra charge for the color supply was obnoxious. They make you sign a contract but don't mention the details of the possible costs of those extra charges. $40 on top of the $120 means they lost a customer. I hope it was worth it. I'll never go back due to the underhanded way they tack on extra fees, and were chipper and cutesy when I questioned the charge. Yes, my fault for not reading the super fine print, but cost variance was not listed. There are too many other salon options out there to return to a place that doesn't fully disclose costs - especially when I asked beforehand. Nope, I cannot recommend them.

Found this place on yelp while looking for salons that have experience cutting natural hair. I really wanted to like this salon. It's super close to my apartment and very chic. Sadly, they are entirely ill-equipped to cut and style natural hair. I called ahead to ensure I had a stylist who has experience cutting and styling natural hair only to be saddled with someone who thought it was okay to comb my 4C hair while it was dry and left it so dry after the first wash that I had to ask for a second wash with additional conditioner. If you have natural hair, please stay far far far away from this place. On the upside, the manager was courteous and understanding.

Oh my where do I start? I have been living out in the middle of nowhere for two years in WA state. I have been cutting my own hair for that time and looking like a total mountain woman. I was in town for a wedding and needed a nice hair cut and style. Leonor (maybe Lenore?) transformed me from Anne Hathaway's character at the beginning of the princess diaries into the princess of Genovia by the time I left the salon. She gave me fantastic suggestions on the cut and style. I loved that I didn't feel rushed to get in and get out like other salons. My hair feels so healthy and I look and feel like a new person

I came in here to get my hair dyed and wanted a neutral to ash or cool brown tone. I left with almost burgundy hair in the sun. I asked for them to fix or tone it and they did so I really appreciate that but was told that the goldwell brand of hair dye they use skews warm and no matter what they do o will leave with a warm undertone. I really wish this would have been addressed before they dyed my hair as I will have to go somewhere else to possibly get it stripped. Nothing wrong with the salon just a warning to anyone who comes here for hair dye.

I accidentally went to the wrong location (make sure you don’t do the same!). Anna Lisa was amazing - she kept her next client’s needs in mind and was clear in communicating time needs, but she also did everything in her power to help me get the results I was hoping for. AMAZING cut, color, and blow out. She talked me through the whole experience to inform me of how/want she was doing what she was doing, and was super friendly all around. It’s not a cheap cut/color, but I think it was well worth the money for the care and expertise. 10 stars+++!

I have not had a haircut in a very long time. I read the reviews hoping they were true and they were. As soon as I walked in I felt welcomed. Jenny the stylist, sat me down and asked me what I wanted an explained what she thought I'd look great in. She was so so nice and professional. I was even happier than I d expected. She saved my hair. I didn't think my hair could turn out so beautiful! I'm so pleased that I found a great stylist and a great salon! The staff is super friendly as well and I'm looking forward to going back sooner than later.

I had an AWESOME experience at Hair & Co. The staff were courteous and friendly. However, Stephen is the BEST!!! He listened to my concerns about my hair and asked me questions and answered all of mine and he gave me exactly what I wanted without comprimising the integrity of my dry and damaged hair. He is very professional and courteous. Stephen can do it all...color, cut, style and do hair extensions that lasts for two years. He recommended products and told me how to care for my hair. Plus this is the first time I have ever had a stylist that has similar hair texture to my own and he was able to give so much advice on things I didn’t know on how to prolly care for my hair. This review is for Lacey at the Myrtle Ave location. She took the time to understand my aesthetic and need for low-maintenance color. The end result was beautiful, with just enough of my ideal look without it being an impossible dream that would fade away in sun and salt water. It's already growing out nicely. Icing on the cake was that she styled my hair curly at the end instead of your standard-issue blowout. It. Looked. Awesome. And she talked me through how to style it myself. It still looks awesome. Horrible place - used to be decent but it has gone downhill since i was there last. I booked an appointment online and then when I was getting ready to go. they texted and tried to push me off to another stylist with no real explanation. I replied back and they ignored my texts. I called in and then they told me that they overbooked and that my stylist would not see me AT ALL, even if I came in. I had been a long time client - going there for years. And this how I was treated. Horrible. Never. Going. Back.

Booked a post-shut down appointment with my former stylist and happily paid deposit to secure appt with her. Was called a day b4 appt that my stylist was not returning. Salon apparently rescheduled another stylist without telling me or asking me and then charged me a no-show fee. Now refuses to return $, despite emails confirming all above and their agreement to fix the charge. Shoddy business practices and basic fraud from this merchant; charging for something they couldn’t deliver. Sad and disappointing.

I have been afraid of getting a haircut because i thought short hair wouldnt look good on me or id just look like Willy Wonka, so Ive had long hair for years. I finally decided get a haircut, and i chose this place because it was near where i lived. It was pricey, but I am TOTALLY satisfied with the result. My stylist (sorry i suck at remembering names), she had green strips on her hair, did an amazing job. I'm glad I chose this place and I will sure come back when I can afford it again!

I live in the area and this was my first experience at Hair and Co Brooklyn. I wasn't sure what I wanted and went in and had a picture of the type of color I wanted done. The stylist Emmi talked through it with me giving me options and suggestions. After discussing it she began the wonder work. The time went by quickly and at the end, I loved the result! I am now blonde at the end and will. E for sure going back here to get it cut and color in several weeks. Awesome place and stylist!

I had a great experience with Kathy! She helped me hone in on a style that would frame my face, while asking my preferences along the way. She is a true professional and took her time. A lot of reviews talk about being up sold and surprised by the final price here; I did not have that experience. I told the receptionist how much I wanted to spend before a tip, and that's what I was charged when my cut was finished. Kathy also gave me a free color consult. I'll be back, for sure.

I was a model for Stephanie, i got a balayage and let me say she was so professional, informative and comforting. Its the first time i go to a salon to do my hair & come out with no complaints, starting with the vibes and workers every customer left happy like i did. They also sold me possibly one of the best products ive ever used on my hair, i am careful since it is very sensitive & thin and literally the product has done miracles to my hair. My experience with the stylists at Hair & Co is always one of the utmost skill, professionalism, and pleasure. Drew Irmen is my main stylist and I can tell you I will never go to anybody else. He understands exactly what I want every time; he knows EXACTLY how to shape a cut so it grows out perfectly; he's not pushy, is incredibly knowledgeable, and ain't bad to look at, either! Great place for a terrible cut. Un-even length on the sides, zero edging around the ears, and ruined the shape on the back. It went unnoticed until I came home, took a shower and I washed the styling product off. I had to go to another place to get it fixed.
