First of all I would like to address the terrible service employed by this sham of a business. My mother a doctor, who had just graduated after completing her phd from monash went to this abhorrent store and was in a hurry to leave because my sister was in the hospital- she wanted to at least see how she was doing. She had a terrible experience which she then preceded to make a review on, and the repulsive manager replies to this review by saying they were a victim of abuse??? please tell me how is it abuse when my mother did not say a word for an hour after you darkened her to a much further extent then required, please tell me why my mother was to shy to complain about the apprentices long nails which hurt her scalp please tell me how it’s abuse when half of the treatment spilled on the floor q and the apprentice even failed to mix it with water, which guess what my mother did not say a word after it was finished , 2 for the price of one is a joke all she wanted was for you to redo the first step because your inexperienced apprentice failed to listen to instructions. Lastly I would like to condemn the sly manager for spouting random words to my mother as she was leaving the store, saying “don’t come back again”, is this truly appropriate behavior for a manager to publicly say? This was never about the price you continue to lie in your replies, even accusing my mother of false abuse . It’s actually disappointing for my mother to leave this store saddened from a god forsaken shop, if it was at least a high quality store I would’ve considered leaving the matter but this is the opposite . Terrible service from a terrible manager who fails to address her mistakes and lies even publicly.

I arrived on Thursday in Melbourne and needed to find someone to style my hair for a wedding I was attending on Friday mid morning. I had been to 2 other hair salons, before I found Michelle's place of business- Hair World Fountain Gate. A sweet gentleman barber, served me and he consulted with Michelle and they were able to fit me in first thing Friday morning. I felt really good about coming to have my hair styled here. Friday morning, I was greeted and seated by a young lovely team member and then Michelle, the business owner came and asked me what style I wanted. I showed her a photo of the hair style I wanted and Michelle proceeded to show her finesse and expertise in transforming my hairstyle. I don't usually make conversation and I am a private person, but by the time Michelle had finished doing her part of styling my hair, I had made a friend. Then Jo came and did her part in styling my hair and she went as far as literally becoming my fairy godmother as she finished the hair style with glitter. I felt like a rags to riches/ Cinderella to Queen story. I believe the best and most professional hair salons are the ones you come away from, feeling like a Queen or a King. Thank you so much Michelle and your team for helping me go into this wedding feeling a million bucks!

Chose this place after reading the reviews. Maybe its a one off, but I didn’t have a good experience. Arrived for a cut, and the stylist Michelle suggested going for layers. I showed her a picture of my previous cut with bangs and insisted that I wanted to cut The bangs to the previous length as they have overgrown. Didn’t even spend 15 mins with me as she was in and out. I had to point out that the layers were uneven twice in a row, while she kept reassuring that the fringe was okay. In 10 mins, she finished and walked off, and didnt even brush my hair once. My bangs now look floppy and uneven, and possibly the worst. I paid and left not wanting to spend another minute in the salon. Michelle seems okay but the I guess she just wanted to be done as I was her last customer. Maybe their other services might be better but I would not go back again. During my ride back, my hair kept falling off, on to my clothes, as she didnt brush off and she didn’t show me how the back of my hair looks. So i dont know how the cut looks from the back. Anyway my rant’s over. I will stay away from that place. Maybe the other hairdressers in that place are much better? Edit - Changed the name of the hair dresser.

Went in for a wash and cut after reading reviews on google, I’ve never been there before. The hair cutting process itself was so painful as the hairdresser kept tugging at my scalp. When it was over, the cut was very underwhelming and they didn’t even style my hair. Just used simple hairdryer. I could have done this at home. When asked why it wasn’t being blow dried properly, they said it will cost extra. Fair enough but they should have offered me this option first. Anyways, I wasn’t impressed and couldn’t get out of there quick enough. Went home to check, my hair is jagged and not even even. The horrible cut was more obvious now as the hair dried fully. Worst experience ever and I’m very low maintenance hair wise. I paid $57 for a wash and a horrible cut. Thank god I didn’t pay extra for a “blow wave”. Now I will have to go to another place to get this fixed!

Visited Hairworld Salon here in fountain gate to get perms done for my hair for the first time and without a doubt it was the best experience I ever had. First of thank you to the lovely Michelle and Alisha for taking such good care of me they were so friendly and nice and I felt like I was at home there. Michelle did my perms and she was so gentle with my hair that I didn't feel any pain at all. Alisha took over after and did and amazing job washing my hair and drying it. The perms came out amazing just the way I wanted it and at the end Alisha was very nice to write me down the instruction of what to do afterwards. I am 100% coming back here because everyone just makes you feel at home. Would highly recommend to others to visit them cause they do an amazing job. Also thank you to the barber that washed my hair at the start. Pierre :)

I had a very poor experience with Chloe who cut my Son’s hair. I couldn’t tell if she didn’t like kids or she didn’t like her job. She was clicking her fingers to get my Son’s attention as if he was a dog and at one point told my Son not to touch her, for reference my Son is 2 years old, of cause he is going to move when a noisy clipper is going near his ears. I stopped the hair cut half way through as she seemed like it was like a hassle to cut his hair. So now my Son has been left with half a hair cut. Previously I’ve gone to a only kids hair salon and they engage with my Son and sing to him to distract him from the hair cut but this Chloe girl wasn’t engaged or passionate in any way. I would not recommend this place at all for children’s hair cuts and we definitely won’t be returning.

Chloe is a sensational barber, beauty therapist and hair dresser. Any business is lucky to have such a talent, caring and experienced hair dresser/ barber. Chloe turns any hair into magic! My husband and I found Chloe (by luck) many years ago in the city at kings domain barbers, she turned his tired hair style, into a perfect well manicured fashionable cut. Chloe is kind hearted, fantastic listener, passionate hair dresser and beauty therapist, wonderful with children (including poorly disciplined children- she has fantastic patience!) pets and the elderly. Did a walk in to HairWorld Fountain Gate to get my hair done for the first time after a year or 2, and was greeted by Michelle. She is the most sweetest and humble person. She took care of my hair and gave me a great experience showing me and walking me through everything she was doing to my hair. She also was really careful around my scalp as i have a skin condition. I went from blonde to this in one sitting and im grateful for her help today. I am in love with my hair and can’t wait to go back to michelle for touch up when needed. I really recommend this place! as the staff are all very sweet and welcoming ❤️

Hairworld has been my always GO TO hair salon! All i needed was an ashy blonde ombre! Michelle and Camella did an amazing Job transforming my hair into something magical ♥️ my hair is full of volume, massively thick and is always so hard to work on a desired color! Michelle and Camella spent hours on my hair and treated it so gently.. i was literally shocked to see the outcome of their work! was so worth my money and time ! I recently had the pleasure of visiting a fantastic hairdresser, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. The stylist Meshal was incredibly skilled and attentive, making sure to understand exactly what I wanted. The end result was nothing short of amazing; my hair looked and felt fantastic. The atmosphere in the salon was welcoming and relaxing, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this hairdresser for their professionalism, talent, and the wonderful transformation they brought to my hair.

Kamilla was so nice and talked me through the colour and the process really well. She knew exactly what she was talking about and the whole salon has a really friendly atmosphere. I booked in the day before for first thing in the morning on Sat because when I have walked by in the afternoon they always look so busy and happy I did especially because I knew colouring was going to take some time. Came in to this salon very nervous with just a photo and rough ideas but with Michelle's brilliant knowledge, experience and eye for detail - ive left so happy and feeling much better. Michelle & the team are amazing! I had my first experience here today, I booked in last minute & even though they were full & busy (silly season) they were more than happy to put me in! Customer service is A1, the staff are so lovely and even the music was mean! Definitely coming back & recommending to all my girlfriends thank you soooo muuuchh! Wanted a slight trim on the lengths of my hair and a curtain bang. The lady literally played around for a while she twisted!!! my curtain bang and did a straight cut, u don’t cut curtain bangs like that, my hair looked so choppy and unfinished I had to go to another salon and fix the mistake this salon made. So disappointing considering they weren’t even busy. I looked on the floor and there was literally no hair except some from my curtain bang. Never coming here again.

I walked in this morning and was delighted that I could finally get my hair cut after two years. I was initially hesitant because some hairdressers wasn't welcoming and friendly. However, today I met Kamilla, and she is excellent! Her personality keeps you engaged. She styled my hair exactly the way I wanted, and we had a great conversation.I highly recommend her and would give her a 5-star rating for her exceptional service.

Yesterday I took my daughter here for a haircut. The whole salon had a friendly atmosphere and Michelle was welcoming. She did an exceptional job with my daughter’s hair, as there were complexities involved in cutting it. The result was a very tasteful and professional cut for a very reasonable price. I also noticed that they provide a private room for Muslim ladies wearing hijabs, which I thought was wonderful and inclusive.

I’ve been coming to Hair World fountain gate now for over 4 years the service is always amazing and you never feel uncomfortable. Michelle is a great hair dresser and has years of experience and speaks with knowledge. I don’t let anyone else touch my hair as the products used here are top of the range. Prices are always fair. I have also used their waxing services which was great barely felt the waxing process quiet gentle.

My new happy place! Michelle is just so awesome. She makes you feel comfortable and listens to my ideas and actually suggests a lot of things that are better than what I originally planned. You can really feel that she's extremely knowledgeable in what she does. I only do reviews when I'm either extremely happy or extremely disappointed. For her it's definitely the former. Definitely highly recommended.

From the moment I walked in I was greeted with smiles and was excited to get my hair done. Staff were incredibly talented and genuinely so welcoming to talk to I loved it here! Michelle has been doing my foils for some time now and recently I decided to take the plunge and get extensions. Michelle being experienced in this field knew what was right for me. This was the first hair dresser I called on a Saturday to colour my hair on the same day, they were able to fit me in quickly!! I was anxious about my hair as it needed to be fixed. This salon has friendly, professional and highly knowledgeable staff! I booked for a haircut but Michelle also corrected my over-toned blonde colour that happened to me at home (grrr - my fault!). I was impressed (and very happy!) she took time to achieve the desired outcome and I walked out with a fabulous hair! I very much recommend this salon.

I had my hair blow waved, and then straight by camellia , she was great and did really well with straightening my hair . My hair is curly and not easy to be silky straight .loved her work :)). Also last week I had my hair done by Jess she did half head foils she absolutely nailed it with the colour I wanted .both ladies were nice and friendly.

Had a my hair done. Had the regrowth done by a guy. Wasn't very good. Didn't really to to wash the back of my head to get the colour out. Towel dry my hair but didn't bother to brush or comb it. No products put in. Had to ask for my fringe to be trimmed. Would not get my hair done by him again. Would not recommend him. He wasn't very engaging

Absolutely amazing service by all happy welcoming talented staff. The owner hairdresser has been so very helpful with care tips for my hair, my hair has never looked and felt go good....I would definitely recommend this salon to whoever, the prices are great the vibe in-store is warm fun and they play some groove sounds too.
