We bought two female hamsters from this place but as fate had it one of the hamsters eyes fell out and as a natural instinct we asked him if it was infected prior to the purchase since it had just been 4 days and we were extremely cautious with the hamster there was no chance in hell of a trauma after we purchased it! At first he didn't even believe this could happen. Also found some worms in the food given by him and when I informed about it he said it was totally normal.(So called best quality high price?) Later on after some argumentative conversation and after a vet visit we reverted back to him with an apology stating that the vet informed us about injury or infection that could have happened before! Mr.Vikas didn't respond to it! We were told the hamsters were a about a month old and after finding out it was a plain lie we asked him for a male to help them breed, he didn't respond even after 2 days! This is when we enquired local shops and found out we get healthy hamster for 550rs per pair.. And this fellow was a regular ethical breeder!! He explained to us confirming the age told to us was a lie! Hamster Garden claims the hamsters to be of best quality in his shop, it's not a man made thing to instill a quality in it, it's a living being! And if it were to be of best quality why would my hamster's eye FALL OUT jus within 4 days!! I'd suggest to buy from other pet shops instead of this money minded place for a 10k worth package when the same can be bought in less price and then it depends on the pet owner how they take care of it. Update 1: (Reply) I never asked you for a refund or replacement! Not in this review, not in our whatsapp conversation and never in a call! Secondly a pair doesn't necessarily mean a matrimonial pair i.e., male and female.. i never said it was a couple!!! Pair means two of them! (could be 2 males or 2 females or a male n a female separately! As i took 2 females from you) 3rd thing obviously its not marbles to fall out n i clearly said it happened 4 days after i bought it from u!! so closer inspection before purchase it looked fine! Negligence? Hmm nice word but you aren't a vet , maybe consulting one and understanding the terms would be better as we did take our lil hammy to a prestigious vet hospital in bangalore and they said it's possible for it to fall out! Come on you had seen the pic of the eye! Lastly - This was my review not a platform to indulge in 'baseless conversation'!!

I waited for 6 months after getting a hamster from Hamster garden to write this review as it's hard to understand the quality/health of an animal right away. I bought a Campbell dwarf hamster from Hamster garden with black and white colouration, something which is rare to find in local pet shops (who only have Chinese dwarf and Syrian hamsters). The process was very smooth considering the pandemic was at its height. Everything was agreed upon through whatsapp and the person was kind enough to deliver the hamster and accessories to my home. The hamsters here are expensive than other vendors but that is the deal with any pet that you buy from good breeders. If you buy rare variants or healthier variants they are expensive. And it's better to buy from good vendors who don't indulge in shady methods of breeding even if you pay a little extra. Believe me, it pays in the long run as your animal is healthier and happier. The people running this place are knowledgeable and are quick to respond to any questions you might have about the animal and they guide you initially if you are a new pet owner like me. You may choose to buy accessories and food from elsewhere as they are cheaper. Even online, now many options are available. It's not fair to even expect pet shops to match the prices which you see online as they don't play in the same scale and reach. Yet, if you are vocal for local, you can support them by buying from them. I bought my initial supplies (food, bedding material) from them but found that buying online is cheaper and more convenient. Overall, I'd recommend these guys to anyone who wants to buy small pets. The overall experience is just great. Attaching pics of our 'Oreo'. The place has a good collection of various rodents available which are well cared for. You've got hamsters of various breeds of rats, Hamsters turtles, etc. The price of hamsters available here is much higher than anywhere in Bangalore. Although the breeder justifies the high cost due to ethical breeding and quality of the hamsters. Bedding material is available here along with food for the hamsters. They do not have any wire mesh or plastic cages as they recommend a glass cage. They have quite a few collection of glass cages but I was not satisfied with the size and again the high pricing. Accessories for hamsters are a wheel, water bottle, etc. These are also a bit higher priced than your regular stores. I purchased the water bottles and hamster house to be kept inside the cage from online at a much cheaper price. A Syrian Hamster requires a minimum of 8 inches wheel to run without arching it's back. A 10 inch size wheel is ideal. It's not available here nor anywhere else in entire Bangalore as small pets accessories are not that easily available in India. Please do call ahead and visit the location as the store owner might not be available at all times. He is quite knowledgeable about the rodents and also shares his knowledge with you. I had quite a few queries on how to care for a hamster and he explained it to me in detail about the same. I can say that this place is a premium hamster store compared to other stores in Bangalore.

We bought a Syrian hamster and its required accessories by paying Rs. 7500. The owner Vikas charged Rs. 600 for home delivery within Bangalore. He delivered the Hamster, suggested where to place it inside the house and grooming tips. The Hamster lived only for two days. When I called and asked him whether we can return the cage and accessories, he plainly refused. He said there's no return policy and he can't guarantee on the lifespan of a living being. This is not what he said when he was trying to sell it to us. Service is pathetic and he is not a customer friendly person. I called him to request very politely to take the glass house and its accessories for a price that he offers and I also said that I don't need any refund for the dead hamster and the wood shavings. He was still rude and raised his voice talking about his nonsensical policies. If you need a good customer friendly experience and a healthy pet, never buy from this guy! He is very manipulative. It's a sheer waste of money and effort.

We picked up our first hamster pet from Hamster Garden a week ago. The place is small but very well maintained and very clean (no smells associated with typical pet stores). There are several rodents housed: mice, rats, Guinea pigs and different kinds of hamsters: dwarf, Syrian. There are also a whole lot of accessories we picked up: various kinds of food- pellets, organic grains, treats etc bathing globe, bath salts, chew toys, echo friendly bedding etc - it’s really a one-stop shop for all your hamster needs. It is premium priced but I definitely think worth it. If you want a low maintenance pet for the first time, and looking for a hamster in Bangalore - do pay Vikas and his rodent family a visit :) Ps: he was very prompt with sending us bills, documentation, even a catalogue for feeding, care, taming of the hamster etc. Vikas seems to be an expert on these pets and we look forward to consulting him on various aspects as we begin our hamster journey!

Very less options for things related to Hamsters. I mean if you are calling yourselves hamster garden and dealing exclusively with hamsters you ought to have more products than a regular pet store! Also the prices are exorbitant! The same hamster wheel (same color , size and everything) which you will get for 450 at glenands is being charged 790! I have had a few hamsters including Chinese and Syrian, and have also given them up for adoption when my mommy hamster had 15 beautiful babies, so safe to say I have been dealing with them closely for quite some time now and also been around the town to a lot of pet stores and adoption clinics for hamsters, but the pricing at Hamster garden was bizzare! Like thrice the more price on food, double-ish on accessories. And they don't even have anything except the very basic accessories. No chew sticks, no fruit sticks, no bendable logs, etc. Disappointed. :(

I absolutely love Hamster Garden. Vikas and Deeksha really do take care of you when enquiring and arriving to the place itself. I have never had a pet before and I finally wanted some companionship but of course as humans we are skeptical regarding taking care of animals at home. When messaging Vikas, he was extremely informative and helpful. I received a handful of information about hamsters and also a ton of videos for reference. Any questions that I had, Vikas was there to answer them for me swiftly. He made me feel very comfortable in adopting a hamster. Hamster Garden gave me a lot of support which we need when adopting. The product price this guy Vikas is charging is ridiculous for a small box of sand 620 which is not even 100gms. The toys made in China can be bought on Amazon for 50% less price. The food for hamster this guy Vikas is saying he manufacture seeds? Not less than 100gms food he charged 450, a 4 inch chew 450. If u go to thier store they only shout shout and ask you to bug take this take this and initially if u ask for invoice Vikas says no bills or invoice. It costed me 10353rs to buy 2 hamsters and accessories. This guy Vikas who is the store owner is extremely rude and charges unreasonable price. I don't recommend anyone to have this kind of experience. Be careful of the pricing as this guy will say I sent u earlier. Pathetic customer service Pathetic pricing extremely rude behavior. If u go here they will make sure they loot u.

My experience with Hamster Garden has been awesome. Vikas has been breeding his hamsters since 13 yrs. His understanding and passion for these tiny creatures is awesome. Though a lil high on the cost side, would still recommend to get ur hamster from Vikas. He spent an hour with us explaining about the hamsters and how to care for it. He has been available even for any questions and issues we had after getting the hamster. He has hamster boarding too. My earlier visit to petstores across Bangalore has been un-inspiring. The pathetic conditions the pets are kept in the stores ( except few ) and the disinterested pet store owners made me feel not to get any pets at all. They are not even interested in giving information.

Such a Fraud! They just talk about quality and mint money like hell! They gave me 150grams of assorted seeds as hamster food for 400 rs.. And sunflower seeds costing 300 rs for 150 grams. Hamster garden package attached!!! But i got 1 kg sunflower seeds for 150 rs and 1.2 kg (1200 grams) of assorted seeds for 480 rs.. And these are from good quality brands , lab tested.. Hamster Garden charges nearly 7 times more for the food!! What a scam.. Such a shame!! Dont fool people in the name of quality. I've attached a pic below with all 3 foods.. The sunflower seeds( 1kg - 150rs) Assorted seeds (1.2kg - 480rs) from good quality pet shops last is a small box from Hamster Gardens (150grams- 400 rs) charged high!

I always had dogs and cats but since a few days was really attracted towards rodents. Was lucky enough to have found this amazing place. Would surely recommend visiting Hamster garden and getting the rodents of your choice. It is my first time with rodents and I had no clue all I knew was hamsters were cute. But when I visited, the owner of the place was so patient and explained so well all the pros and cons of having them, clearing all my doubts and helpingme choose the best for me. Such a knowledgeable person, shows how much dedication he has put into the care of all his rodents. Nothing like what I had expected it to be. It is not just your normal pet store. Please do visit. 10 on 10 it is.

I went there to pick up my Hamster and the person there was very welcoming and took time to explain everything to me inspite of the language barrier I had. It is quite expensive compared to the other stores but they do have good quality hamsters . My Hamster is in good shape and doing good. I felt that the accessories could have been cheaper. I will update the review in a month with the status of my Hamster. Edit: I recently used their boarding facility for my Hamster as I had to travel for 19 days. They took care of my Hamster like their own. I was very happy when I picked my Hamster back. This is the best place for any hamster needs in Bangalore. Very much recommended.

Ethical Breeder! Might look expensive when compared to online or other local pet store. Guys, the way the rodent is being bred is more important that the money we pay! I am happy to have found you guys! The first time I visited this place I was schocked to see the way these rodents we beautifully and comfortably kept. I was really happy as I just had visited a local pet store and they crammed almost 15-20 in a single cage. I would have given this place a 5 star had my hamster not died while she was boarding with them. Not that I blame them for her passing away (she was over 2 years old; maybe sick), but what really put me off was that the owner of the place did not even message me until she had already passed. He knew quite well that she was really sick, but did not care to inform me. The first thing you would expect from a pet hostel owner is empathy. I was shattered to know that I could have said goodbye to my Hubble but the owner did not let me have that chance. Would not recommend this place

My relationship with Hamster Garden started in 2017 with two dwarf hamsters from Vikas. I had to leave town in 2018 and Vikas was kind enough to adopt one of my Hamsters who lived a long life with him. I eventually bought two gerbils from him in 2021 again and they were absolute joys of our life. Vikas not only provides good quality stuff but also gives free advice and consultations (quite long ones if required). He is knowledgeable and helps eagerly. The prices are slightly on the higher sides but the quality is great. Of pets and the accessories. 5 Stars !

This guy is selling hamster only to make money nothing else. His excuse for high price of the hamster is to maintain the proper blood stream, as he is telling and to stop mixing of breeds. I don't understand this logic at all. Anybody wants to sell the hamster they can buy, breed and sell it to the market. But I think his vision is to only make money from this hamster. Why we need all the accessories to buy hamster? Yes I do feel when you are in business, you need to make money from it. But the way he is doing its completely unethical and bogus.

This was the first pet for our 6yrs old kid. Because of covid limitations we wanted something that's manageable and keeps our kid occupied. We found HG through a ref and Vikas and team are very knowledgeable about rodent as pets and the facility has everything. They explained the different pet options they have and helped us decide on taking up a hamster. They set up the entire house and accessaries shared, reading docs n videos. Very neat and clean facility with everything available to set yourself up with a convenient pet.

Initially i thought things r little costly here, but after seeing the hamster and products provided in package i think they are worth it.. ❤ would have rated 5 if costs were little less though. Haven't visited the store offline, ordered and got all the amazing products delivered to my home in 24 hrs. Overall, i am very happy with my decision to buy from here.

Hamsters are not that healthily bred as it is claimed by owner. I got a hamster from him and after couple months it has developed neurological issues. She'll die in few days because of it. She couldn't even live 1/3rd of her expected lifespan. The prices are also very high, what's the point of paying higher if the hamster will still be genetically unhealthy.

Hamster garden is the best place to bring home a little pet - hamsters of all kind, mice, micro-squirrels, rats, and more. I got 5 of my little mice from here and I treasure them dearly. They also have big/small cages, toys, food and other accessories. If you require a vet for emergencies, visit Cessna lifeline hospital as they have an exotic vet specialist.

Most pet stores keep items just for the sake of sale and many don't even have proper toys or accessories for hamsters, but this place is hamster haven. Would suggest all hamster owners to purchase from here because of their commitment to quality and service.

They have good collection and only keep things related to Hamster and Rat. I am having Hamsters from past 2-3 year and bought many accessories but here same thing you will get in double. Overall good collection but price is not reasonable. You can buy exactly same thing 30-50% cheaper online or any other pet store.
