I do not recommend anyone have dealings with Harcourts Glenroy, they seem very professional over the phone at first, however conduct in unfair practices around their fees and go back on their word once decisions have already been made. I recently enquired about the costs associated with breaking a lease. Before submitting my official notice of vacation, I took the initiative to inquire about the fees involved in order to have a comprehensive understanding of the costs associated with breaking the lease. I spoke with David on the 10th and specifically requested an estimate of the expenses. I was happy with David’s verbal explanation and proceeded with breaking the lease. After I had moved out of the apartment is where things took a turn for the worse with Isabella (the other property manager). I received an invoice where the majority of the costs on the invoice align with the figures quoted by David during the phone call, with the exception of the letting fee. Regarding the letting fee, the invoice states a total of $814.13. However, David explained during our conversation that it would amount to 1.5 weeks of rent, prorated based on my occupancy compared to the initial lease period. In fact, he even demonstrated this on a system during the call and indicated that the total prorated letting fee would be in the range of $180 to $240, depending on when the new tenants sign the lease. I contacted Isabella at Harcourts to discuss this invoice and they have gone back on their word from the initial discussion, refusing to honour their commitment and refusing to provide even a simple calculation as to how the $800 figure is made up. After multiple attempts of follow up I’m now resorting to leaving reviews in the hopes that Harcourts will do what is fair and provide a positive outcome for everyone. I want to make it very clear that this isn’t an issue with the landlord or the fee that is being charged, more so an issue with the amount of the fee and the lack of accountability and integrity on harcourts end for not honouring their initial estimate. Let this be a warning to anyone having dealings with Harcourt’s Glenroy to ensure you get everything in writing before ever making financial decisions on anything they say. Avoid this place like the plague and choose another agency.

We sold our property at auction and throughout the whole process we found Frank and Marc to be professional and we were kept fully informed about all aspects of the campaign. Not only the number and types of viewers but also any comments they made. When we had a lock-down Frank remained positive that they would be able to achieve an acceptable outcome.
