AVOID THE HAIR SALON Here is what happened to me: I inquired on the phone if they stock a certain brand of permanent hair dye and if they had a colourist specialised for that brand. They confirmed that they had. I booked a consultation with the said colour specialist. We discussed and agreed on the shade and I made an appointment for the following week and paid to secure the booking. I arrived for my appointment and a colourist (other than the one I was booked with) showed up saying she was going to dye my hair. I reminded her that I was booked with another colourist but I was told my colourist was busy and I would have to wait for min 45 minutes and they didn't have the shade I chose anyway! I requested to talk to the manager at that stage. Manager apologised but she couldn't give me a satisfactory answer as to what had happened. She just said she didn't know what happened! I asked for a solution as I was under time pressure and told them I could perhaps choose a different shade if they showed me the chart. Few minutes later, the manager and the colourist (not the one I was booked with) came with the chart in hand. However, this was the chart for semi-permanent shades and it turned out that they didn't stock the permanent shades anyway!!! Both the colourist and the manager were quite dismissive and nonchalant. The colourist was even attempting me to coerce me to accept/choose from the semi-permanent range!!! I told them I knew what I wanted and was very specific about it and I explained it clearly right from the beginning. I found the way they tried to coerce me to accept whatever was available, rather than offering me what I wanted very insulting. Their dismissive, 'we understand your frustration' type of cliche approach rather than offering a real solution was very infuriating. The last drop was the manager telling me they would refund the booking payment as if she was offering a gratuity!!! The result is a complete waste of time without any compensation. AVOID THIS SALON! THEY DON'T HAVE AN EFFICIENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM and THE MANAGER IS INCOMPETENT.

This salon has consistently disappointed in terms of service and results. I have been a loyal client for over 4 years, however the last year has proved to be abysmal. I have had several bad experiences, from not being booked in properly (I travelled over an hour to be told they don’t have time to do my hair as it was not scheduled correctly) to balayages that have been a total waste of money & nightmare blowdrys that have ruined special events. The final nail in the coffin was my last appointment before my engagement. I had requested my balayage to be brightened up before my big day. The stylist added a few highlights however she used a toner that darkened the entirety of my colour - the complete opposite of what I asked for, a nightmare like this before such an event is appalling. When I displayed my dissatisfaction, baring in mind this was the end of the day and no other individuals present other than me and the stylist - she began to raise her voice and speak to me in a very uncomfortable tone. I have consistently been let down and have never left feeling that my hair is looking great especially after paying at least £250 at a time for a balayage. I have recently gone for a balayage at another salon and the results and service I have received has been a complete contrast. It has allowed to me sit and reflect on my Harrods experience and the stark contrast makes me regret every penny spent at Harrods hair and beauty. I would avoid this salon at all costs. Edit: After contacting Harrods regarding this review, the manager insisted after an ‘investigation’ that Harrods always strive to do their best and refused any kind of refund. I would really like to emphasise to avoid this salon and their lack of customer care.

Absolutely appalling service. Staff have no clue what treatment you require and are very rude. I have physically walked in to Harrods (decided not to book my appointments over the phone) to book mine and my mum's nail appointment a few days ago, since I shop in Harrods quite often. I deliberately told them that we need one normal manicure and one manicure with gel soak-off. Staff booked me in for two normal manicures and tried to prove to me that it was my fault and that they can't do it because they require more time, even though they were available (as I was told later on reception when I demanded refund). What made me even more angry is that just two hours before this i had a medical pedicure booked with Harrods wellness department, again stating that we need a soak off beforehand and I was again told they can't do it, even though I have mentioned we need a soak off. Why book me in, if you have no clue what you are doing! I literally walked straight out of Harrods walked in to Harvey Nichols (it was only 2 minute walk from Harrods), waited for 10 minutes and they have done both mine and mum's manicure and pedicure with out any problems, and the customer service was SOOOO much better. I will never go to Harrods beauty salon again and will not recommend it to any of my friends or family.

My first time at Harrods hair and beauty. It was my birthday and I wanted a nice manicure for my dinner party, far from it! My appointment was booked at 4pm. After keeping me waiting for 20 minutes, I asked someone to find out what was happening as no one came to inform me they were so delayed. I also told her I could not be late to a hair appointment I had booked after because it was somewhere else and so I had to leave Harrods by 5pm. The nail technician was not the one who my booking was with, and she didn’t seem very happy to serve me. I had 2 different technicians just to remove my shellac?? After removing my shellac, it was already 4.40pm and I asked them if they will be able to finish my manicure on time to which she said yes. At almost 5pm she still hadn’t even started with the base / polish and I told her I wouldn’t be done on time, and I couldn’t be that late for my hair appointment which I was already going to be late to. She then said we could just leave it without polish so basically I ended up with no Shellac / gel manicure that I originally booked in for! And on top of all this inconvenience, they still charged me the FULL amount for a Shellac manicure that I did not have! Worst experience !!! Very disappointing…

I came here for a facial to this salon after a recommendation of a friend. I was pleasantly surprised by the interior and great service. I received a very good basic facial that relieves you of tiredness. Its so relaxing that I went to sleep during my treatment which only aids the full benefits of the actual facial. Upon leaving I noticed that my skin was lighter and plumper and the frown lines I'd been wearing on entering the salon had disappeared leaving me looking less grumpy. I'm very satisfied with my facial and given the short time I had in the salon (One hour) it was a very effective method in counteracting facial fatigue and I would highly recommend. Thank you for making me look human again. Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, Value Facial was excellent; my therapist was very professional and very knowledgeable! Relaxing environment.

To start off with the reception team are a complete nightmare! Extremely crowded not enough staff the only one that can do her job is joye I went for my mani & pedi absolutely awful the lady was late for me (can’t remember her name) then told me she couldn’t do the service because SHE was running late. I eventually sorted some thing out and had it done. I then went for my hair appointment, I waited in the waiting area and was greeted by the lovely young ladies that wash the hair it’s always a warm welcome from them. I then had my hair washed by the woman with blonde hair but was nice (also can’t remember her name) she sat me down with Ali after washing my hair. I was appalled to say the least, he was talking about all the members of staff in a very rude way. The blowdry it’s self was awful if you book I recommend to go with Angela for a blowout.

I went to Harrods because it's virtually the only place in London that has a private room for Muslim women that wear hijab - like me. The reception team was a mess - really unprofessional and the women seemed all over the place. My stylist Sadaa was lovely and friendly. However, it was only after my haircut that I realised that it's actually pretty awful. She only did one layer so there's no graduation in my hair and the bottom part is heavy. It's difficult to explain. It's probably the worst hair cut I've ever had. And the price was astromical. Won't be going back and wouldn't recommend the particular stylist that I saw - I can't speak for the other stylists that work there.

Had my colour done by Claudio and cut by Thomas. Absolutely beautiful results by both. Left feeling like a new woman. Claudio advised me on what colour would suit me and left my hair in great condition. Will be back for further balayage to finish it off. Thomas then listened to exactly what I wanted and gave me an expert haircut with amazing layers and volume whilst keeping my hair length. Finished with a stunning blow dry and the end result was really very lovely. Cue admiring glances across the salon from other patrons. It was my first time here. I wasn't expecting to have found my new hairdressers but I'll be back. Its not inexpensive but worth the results.

I got a haircut with Ali and I was extremely disappointed. I showed him a picture of what I wanted and left the salon with a completely different hairstyle. He didn’t ask me what type of blow dry I wanted he just dried it pin straight. I asked for a bottle of still water which I never got. This is not the service I expect from Harrods. I’ve come to Harrods for haircuts before and after todays service I will not return, it seems stylists are in a rush to go home (as I was the last client of the day) rather than take the time to listen to what their clients want.

Harrods hair and beauty is in my opinion the best most high quality salon in London. Everyone there acts not only professionally and with courtesy but is also extremely kind and caring. I often get body wax, eyebrow threading, shellac manicures, and hair extentions retaped and every time I look forward to a pleasant experience. My hair dresser -- Thomas -- is one of the nicest people I've met, he had done a splendid job with my extentions every time and made them look more natural and beautiful than I thought possible given how short my hair was at the time.

I recently had my first experience at Harrods Hair and Beauty with a lovely stylist called Thomas. He did a cut and keratin treatment on my hair - for which I had shown him a wish photo for inspiration. Thomas spent hours doing my hair with such care and attention to detail. I am over the moon with the results! My hair is so soft and silky, and the cut is exactly what I wanted. He even went so far as to cut my hair in 2 stages so I could make sure the length was perfect for me. I honestly can’t thank him enough! Will definitely be visiting again ❤️

extremely disappointing service- I had a haircut with Angela- an Elite stylist (150£ haircut)- incompetent, does not know how to cut curly or wavy hair despite what the website claims. She had a fixed idea of what the final look should be like and she persisted with it despite not being suitable for my hair or for my style. Very very poor haircut. I usually attend the Selfridges salon where my hair is cut by a similar level stylist- the difference is not comparable. It is shocking that Harrods tolerate such a level of incompetence.

Not even exaggerating when I say this is the best salon I have been to in the world. Andre’s styling is truly art and I will return again atleast once more before I leave London (currently visiting from Canada) His work is flawless and perfection. This is evident in the photos. I loved chatting with him and his styling made me fall in love with my hair all over again. Also the service from the girls at front desk, in addition to complimentary coffee and bottled water was lovely. If I lived in London I would come every week!!!

What can I say? Pardon the pun but he’s literally a cut above the rest. George Akkad is an experienced and talented London hairstylist. I always get loads of compliments when I get a cut and style done by him. Been going to him for years. He has done London fashion week and loads of celebs. Cuts all hair types – especially my curly hair – to perfection. I have unashamedly followed him from salon to salon. I recommend him to other curly-haired friends. He’s just the best! In high demand, so book appointments well ahead.

Never ever get your brows thread at this place. I did my brows thread with (wouldn’t even called her technician) Nim**s*a. I inform her many times to kept my brows straight. She completely destroyed it and gave me extremely arched brows that will never be recover within a year. I canceled my own birthday and two trips. This department also refuse to response me back. Not to also mentioned I got multiple wounds from the session. How is that even possible? Very upsetting

My first time at Harrods hair and beauty. The nail technician didn’t had her badge with her name so I can’t tell you. She had cut my skin while filling the nails. I had removal and application of shellac £65.Please see my photos. I have been asked for coffe and water , but been served only with the still water. George is very experienced hairdresser, also highly skilled. He made an excellent job of my hair . From the moment I walked into HARRODS Salon I was looked after in an extremely professional way. The team are amazing, respectful of client’s expectations and inspire confidence in all that they do. George completely restyled my hair and I feel extremely young and happy , I love it ❤️

My mother and I went to the newly refurbished hair and beauty salon on Friday 6th august as a treat for her birthday. We were given a booth and the ladies who did our treatments were fabulous. We were even given two gift bags which contained some gorgeous huda beauty cosmetics. It really made it more special for us and helped to make a memorable experience for us both.

I’ve seen Rosie for my haircut recently and she was incredible. Really listened to what I wanted and did just that but more. I’ve never been more happy with my haircut nor got so many compliments on it. In terms of salon itself - top class as you would expect. Clean, comfortable, spacious, great products and everyone I’ve dealt with incredibly polite and attentive.

Smooth and efficient booking process. I used a gift card from January 2020 in March 2022 and even though it had expired the manager fully understood that I avoided closed spaces untill I was vaccinated and extended validity of the gift card for 24 months due to circumstances. First time and I'm not a tourist. Decided to try a haircut with elite stylist. Nice atmosphere and calming vibe in the madness of the city. The result was wonderful and I thought the price was spot on for the experience of the stylist, hair treatment and customer care. It's not 5 stars because I felt post pandemic nothing is what it used to be.

Coming from the US, I had my very first haircut experience at Harrods Salon. I’ve had many people cut my hair before and I have to say Thomas has done the best job on my hair. George is an absolute genius! I’ve been to top hairdressers in London but he is by far the very best. He understands hair, you don’t just look amazing leaving the salon but he cuts hair in a way that looks fantastic, and holds its shape and movement until your next cut! I wouldn’t trust anyone else! This was my best waxing experience in London. The place is very hygienic, therapists are very nice and professional and know what they are doing. The room was spotless and very comfortable. I have seen Elizabeth and Neeta and both were extremely good. Totally worth the price and much recommended.

Angella is a unique talent for cut and style. You will never find better ANYWHERE. However standards at the reservation stage and services that used to be offered without fuss, eg. Coffee water ate very deteriorated. Only Angella would cause me to return.
