HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I purchased some chairs from Have a seat, I also inspected the chairs before purchase to ensure I was happy with the quality. Unfortunately I did not receive anything good. The chairs were damaged, chipped and badly painted, I contacted have a seat immediately and they said they would replace all the chairs and told me to use the damaged chairs in the meantime until the new ones arrived. After this re-order their customer service went out the window. I sent multiple emails to follow up on the chairs, with a different excuse each time, they finally arrived 5 months later. Before returning the damaged chairs I asked a simple request to have the replacement chairs unpacked when I arrive to I could inspect them to ensure they are also not damaged- this was disregarded and I had to unpack the boxes in the carpark on my own. The first box I opened was enough to put me over the edge, the chairs were again poor quality with cracks all through the timber, I continued to unpack another 8 chairs out of the 30 I ordered and already 6 out of the 8 were badly cracked. I asked to speak with the manager regarding the issue, I was approached by the owner who really couldn't care about the issue and just kept offering a $200.00 discount (from a $3,600.00 order)I told the owner that I didn't believe this was fair. The Owner continued to argue with me in a very aggressive way, he kept interrupting me when I tried to talk and he yelled at me in front of his other staff. In the end he said "I will give you a $500.00 refund if you go away now" then he stormed off up to his office. I was in complete shock that he spoke to me that way to the point that I was shaking while one of the other staff members issued my refund. The other staff helped me pack up my original damaged chairs back in my van which I am thankful for as I couldn't wait to get away from that warehouse after all of that. The Owner of this business is a horrible and very unprofessional man. I hope no other business owner has to have an experience like this.
Definitely don't shop here! It says on the website that furniture is dispatched the day it is ordered. This is not so! I waited 3 months to receive some chairs, then the box arrived torn to shreds and the chairs were damaged inside! I have been waiting a week just to get someone to collect them and resend the chairs, made countless phone calls and sent emails, and still nothing has been done, we have this giant hideous box sitting in our shop taking up lots of space - and no chairs! I placed a second order over 2 weeks ago and was told at the time that the products are in stock and will be sent immediately, however 2 weeks later I have not as yet even received an invoice or any proof that the items will be ever be sent to me, despite so so many phone calls and emails. Definitely shop somewhere else, appauling service! Update: over 1 month after posting this review and I am still being sent the same broken chairs! Every time I ask for a replacement, they send more broken chairs. One of the chairs actually snapped when a customer sat on it. Thank god they were not injured. I am now waiting on the next delivery and hoping they are ok. I spoke to the manager John today and he was abusive towards me and threatened me and my business for leaving a negative google review! This is after trying to resolve the problems with him and his staff for many months! Absolutely appauling.
BUYER BEWARE....I really wish there was a rating lower than one star!!! A recent addition to the below is they are refusing to replace broken furniture until I remove this review. As a side note just had a good look at their reviews, the owners and employees of the company have reviewed their own business multiple times!!!!! We have recently completed a major renovation of one of our hotels and gave the supply of the furniture to have a seat, MISTAKE. The first stage table tops were splitting and the finish peeling off within months. They were nice enough to send replacement tops, the same ones, only for it all to happen again, ended up paying someone to strip them all back and refinish. The blame was placed on the overseas manufacturer and was told issue would be fixed in the next delivery. The next delivery arrived with multiple things missing and had to pay a carpenter to modify some tables so table tops would fit. I have now been chasing new table tops to replace existing splitting ones for 6 months now, that John promised would be sent, only for them to stop replying to my emails. Only gave 1 star because I had to, the experience of dealing with these guys is time consuming, unprofessional & well below commercial standard. STAY AWAY if you value how your business presents to your customers and your sanity.
We recently brought cafe tables, bases and chairs from this company. They arrived when expected and initially we were very happy with them, the look lovely with no damage. This lasted 2 days until the first seat back broke off when a customer rested back (not swinging) on it. Contacted Have a Seat but were told that the chairs could not be faulty and that our customers were basically jumping on them to break them. We originally ordered 16 chairs and they were delivered in mid Dec, it is now mid Feb and of those 16 chairs, 9 are now broken. All in the exact same place. All this company has said is that they have tested chairs from the same batch with someone sitting on the who weight 122+kg and they didn't break. They have basically called our customers angry vandals and myself a liar. Even going to Office of Fair Trading didn't help. Will never buy chairs from this company again. We are now left with 5 chairs that we shouldn't really use, as legally if we know that they are prone to breakage and someone gets hurt when another back comes off, we are in a legal minefield. To be fair the tables are lovely, arrived undamaged and on time.

I am SO happy with "have a seat" even though I am not in the Cafe business. I cannot thank Andrew enough for coping with my emails and calls, enabling me to make the right decision on what I needed. I had previously ordered a table top only in what was supposedly a "faux marble" look table top in white, to sit on my rattan based coffee table, but ended up with with a GREEN one from another supplier advertising as WHITE! Didn't know if "Have A Seat "would supply just one, but they did and I cannot believe it was delivered with no damage two days later here in Adelaide !! I wish all companies had people like Andrew to assist customers and their needs, but truly impressed with the prompt Delivery!! Can't get that type of service here in Adelaide even when it's Sent from Adelaide! Thanks again Andrew !!
I found this company on line when I was looking to purchase some outdoor tables for the retirement village I live in. After speaking with Have a Seat about the tables we were interested in and obtaining a quote for the supply and delivery, the tables were ordered and delivered promptly. Assembly of the tables was easy and after contacting them regarding fixing the table tops and the correct way to do this, it was achieved without any problems. The tables have only been in use for a few days, however, they seem to be good quality and the price was very good - time will tell. I would have no hesitation in recommending this company and their service.
Visited the team at Have A Seat on a Thursday... Was greeted by friendly smiles, great service and some fantastic suggestions + pricing that's hard to beat. Gave myself the weekend to think styles, sizes and designs over and proceeded to place an order on the Monday. Tuesday arrived and the delivery team called with an ETA that was pinpoint accurate and by midday I had and entire new arrangement of tables and chairs to admire! Quality service and honesty My name is Pierre and I have been working in the food industry for 23 years in Australia. I have dealt with many suppliers over these years. This is the first time in 23 years that I decided to write a review for a supplier because if I do not do this, I don’t think would be honest to myself. Because I opened a restaurant in Myer in Pacific Fair on the Gold Coast, I worked with the company “have a seat” (based in Sydney) for the first time. I have never seen the kind of service, the quality and honesty I received from this company. The price was very reasonable.
I ordered 6 chairs for residential use, Andrew was kind enough to accept my small order and treated me like a value customer. He was polite and efficient, my order was sent through within minutes after the phone call. The communications were great, delivery was on time as quoted and each chair was in bubble wrap and in boxes for transport. They took great care to pack the chairs, and their service is amazing. I found this company from a cafe owner, who had purchased all their nice chairs from Andrew. You and your company deserve to be recognized (from Joyce)
Very disappointed in this company! We had furniture on hold having paid 30% deposit for a restaurant we were contracted to build. The company we were working for has gone under and owes us tens of thousands of dollars. The owner Scott from Have A Seat could’ve done the right thing by us and returned at least some of the $3300 deposit for the furniture (that hadn’t even left the store) but he didn’t and couldn’t care less about anyone else. Choose your suppliers wisely people, especially the ones like this that just want to take your money no matter what.
I liaised with Andrew from Have a Seat and placed placed order on monday afternoon and received them on wednesday in Brisbane. Wasn't at premises when delivered. Noticed a box badly damaged and one of the outdoor chairs was damaged. Took photos of chair and box, emailed to Andrew, where I received great customer service, no questions asked. The replacement chair was delivered the next day to QLD. Would have no hesitation in recommending Have a Seat or using them in the future. Bad quality & service. After ordering two different table tops they were both faulty when I received them. With chips & a bend in one of the table tops. Would not order from here again, had a lot of trouble when contacting them about this issue. I was originally told I could return of they weren't suitable & was happy to pay the delivery & restock fee. However the issue of the faulty products was not in my control so I am disappointed i was still charged the delivery cost from Sydney to Melbourne & Melbourne to Sydney when the issue was in their hands.
Terrible customer service and no care for their customers. I was sent the wrong chairs and after trying to get a response for 6 weeks they offered me to return the chairs if I paid for shipping PLUS would charge me a 20% re-stocking fee - when they had sent me the chairs I didn't want. They blamed the supplier for changing the chair had little interest for resolving the issue. The staff member I spoke to tried their best but blamed "management policy". Definitely do not buy anything online from this company.

Had to get some seats QUICKLY, and given the current state of deliveries my confidence was not high!!!! Rang “Have a Seat” and they promised delivery by the end of the week. (Yeah right). I paid on Monday and the seats arrived carefully packed on Wednesday!!!!! So relieved!!! Very happy customer here. What they say is what you get! We will be buying from these guys again.
I am so pleased with the 4 "wishing chairs" from Have-a-seat. They are really solid and able to accommodate my rather tall, heavily built son, where some other chairs do not. They fit neatly with the Fantastic Furniture Monaco table, and look very elegant. They were also delivered on time! Thanks to Andrew and the staff at Have-a-seat.
We purchased 6 Spoke Bentwood chairs in natural, the chairs are exactly what we wanted and the delivery was very quick, they were also packaged very well and arrived safely. I can highly recommend Have a Seat and have referred them to friends, the purchase was online as we don't live in Sydney, it was a very simple process.
We are a small Motel located in Victoria. Finally allowed to come out of lockdown on 22 October 2021. Decided we needed to update Chairs and Tables and contacted Have A Seat.
