11/4/20121 We recently purchased our retirement dream home in St. Augustine, Florida and because “this is our last hurrah” we want to kick-back in luxury and enjoy retirement to its fullest. As a result we needed professional interior decorating advice and wanted high quality furnishings. For that reason it was important to find a quality furniture company who stands solidly behind their product while providing consistent customer service and support. From our first encounter with Havertys' and the staff at the Atlantic Blvd store in Jacksonville, Florida – we believe we found exactly what we needed to outfit our entire home. Right from the start we were treated with a level of professionalism without undue pressure or manipulation, without being pushed in any direction. Their advice appeared impartial with suggestions not to buy certain pieces which would either clutter our space or were not compatible with design objectives. Of most importance was the staff: Sales Manager John Barie was affable, knowledgeable, extremely low pressure and provided honest suggestions in helping us design our spaces. Design Consultant Jennifer Walterick, an award winning interior designer, came to our home to measure and get a feel for our space and our desire to incorporate some heirloom pieces we wanted to keep and blend with the newer furniture. She drew layout sketches and made truly helpful recommendations in deciding how to complete the various rooms. Her feedback was truly instrumental in realizing and reaching our goals. And last but not least, Sales Consultant Greg Tucker was on hand to assist us in some of our final purchases with the same knowledgeable but relaxed air of professionalism. Our salesperson Jennifer was Absolutely Amazing!!! She welcomed my husband and I as soon as we walked in yet didn't make us feel crowded and try to sell us on anything like some places as soon as you walk in. She was genuinely more interested in what we wanted as well as what our needs were than merely selling us something. We spent almost 2 hrs with her asking question after question and ended up walking out purchasing 2 sofas with their gold care protection plan, and an area rug all with delivery for an extremely fair price. We feel like we made a wonderful purchase. We had visited 5 other furniture stores prior to Haverty's. We would like to give a special thank you to the Manager Johnathan as well for helping us out with the over price on our purchase. Tremendous disappointment. Working on our FOURTH exchange for damaged bedroom set. Scratches, dings, dents, broken hardware and even REFURBISHED items. We're exhausted with the process - the phone calls, the emails, exchanges and deliveries. This is not the quality we expected or paid for. Our salesman, Marke, has been attentive and helpful but at this point, six weeks after paying full price for "new" furniture and still having little to show for it, I believe the Havertys reputation is irredeemable. ***(EDIT/UPDATE) Google won't let me do zero stars. After fourth exchange/delivery still left holding damaged furniture. We've resolved ourselves to the fact that our furniture will need to be reworked and repaired by hand. We'll go broke missing work and tipping delivery workers by the time they get this right. In the end we've heard plenty of apologies and ... "We'll make this right".... which really loses its luster after so many attempts and the fact that we're still left paying full price for at least one repaired/refurbished piece.

We've had the pleasure of dealing with the Atlantic Blvd location twice in the last few months. The first time was to purchase a couch and sitting chair after our local (Yulee) furniture store lead us astray for 5 months. The experience with Havertys was above and beyond our expectations. We were treated great, the salesperson was knowledgeable and courteous, and we had a positive experience. Our furniture arrived quickly and was exactly as we had ordered. We returned a couple of weeks ago, and the same salesperson directed us to exactly what we wanted (another sofa and a loveseat) and made the entire process efficient and positive on every level. We wouldn't hesitate to buy furniture from Havertys at all. They are highly recommended by us!

My sales person was Pam Samuels. She was so experienced, knowledgeable, informative, but at the same time she was funny, personable, warm and friendly. When I was dissatisfied with my first purchase, she immediately made it right with no hesitation she followed up with me and my sister-in-law, who bought me the recliner From Las Vegas, and she kept in contact with both of us through every step of the process, and afterwards I have been in Retail half of my life from the bottom to the top and if I had to choose someone to hire someone to put at the top of my business, it would be Pam Samuels I highly recommend her for anything that you need. Had a very pleasant experience at Havertys. Our sales rep Chandra was very helpful and made shopping easy. She provided the right kind of guidance in our decision making about furniture without being pushy. She had great follow up through the delivery process to make sure that everything was as we expected and helped us solve a small issue we had after delivery. I was impressed with Havertys follow email system and delivery tracking that lets you text for updates on the ETA for the delivery truck. They were also on top of the customer service when a small after delivery issue was discovered. Overall a far more pleasant experience than I expected when shopping for furniture.

We have worked with Greg on a few occasions. He's pleasant, helpful and understanding. I especially appreciate that he understood that I didn't want him hovering over us while we shopped. Our delivery was much quicker than we'd hoped for. And while there were unfortunate damages upon arrival and installation; replacement was painless and quick. Greg has followed up with us on every step of the process to make sure everything was just right. Will you pay a little more at Havertys? Maybe, but are you really comparing apples to apples with the other furniture stores in town? You do get what you pay for. And with Havertys, you're paying for quality and peace of mind.

Recently moved to Jacksonville Fl and a major part of the process was dealing with several vendors in setting up our new home. Without question Atlantic Havertys’ Furniture was the best vender in every way from initial contact to final delivery. John Barie was truly a pleasure to deal with, professional in every way, very helpful when assistance was asked for, and following through on getting things done. Jennifer was a great help in assisting us with design ideas and recommendations. Connie was wonderful!! I had visited the Atlantic Blvd location previously (about 2 months ago) and was finally ready to make a purchase. Upon arrival, she actually remembered who I was and what I was interested in - down to the color of the sofa. The wait for the sofa I originally wanted was really long; however, she was able to recommend an alternative that my husband and I really loved and, we were able get it within a week. We had a great experience at Havertys. We recently moved to Jacksonville but our furniture is still in California until the military can move it. We needed a couch and a desk immediately and they made the process easy. Our salesman Greg helped us find items that were in-stock for fast delivery. We were able to view the items in person, pay and get them delivered within a few days. He also called after the delivery to make sure it went smoothly and we were happy with our purchase. Overall, this company made our very stressful two part move just a little easier and that is much appreciated.

Went to many furniture stores before Havertys in search of living room furniture and was pleasantly surprised by the choices here as well as the excellent delivery lead time. We were greeted upon entering but then left alone to shop which is perfect. Havertys representative Marke was close by and knew when we might need help. He was extremely pleasant, knowledgeable and patient. Pricing is a bit high but the quality is also high. We would definitely go back even though there is a store much closer to us, just because of the service level Marke provides.

Melissa Bernardi was very friendly and professional: she helped us to find what we were looking for: 2 white leather chairs for our living room. Also, the team members support each other in serving customers. When I asked Melissa if the chair‘s cover is leather, she wanted to check the data first and then provide the correct information. The another team members stated that yes, this chair’s cover is natural leather. By supporting each other, the team saved our time, and help to make a right decision. Thank everyone. I worked with John a number of times. Originally I was a bit naive with furniture shopping, so I mistook his discussions for pressure. Over time, and after some less than ideal decisions to take cheaper routes, I found that he’s very unbiased and just wants the best for his customers, and he is just incredibly passionate about the company is with because the truly believes it offers a great product. A lesson learned, but returned a few times there after and always felt like he had my best interest in mind. Thanks John.

Purchased a couch. Was told it would come in four weeks. Now, after five weeks of waiting, we find out we need to wait another eight weeks!!!! I asked for a refund, hopefully they process it. I’m so upset. If I knew it would be 12+ weeks, I wouldn’t have ordered and waited! We do not have a couch right now!!! Also, bedroom set came and was installed. They installed the mirror with a blemish on it that I didn’t notice until they left. Now, I get to call and ask for a new mirror. Not a good experience.

We just spent an hour at the Havertys location on Atlantic & were excited to purchase our new living room furniture for our new home. Not one salesperson approached us or acknowledged our existence. There were a few customers being helped but it was not busy. I have always been a fan of Havertys products & customer service but this location was lacking. I have no idea if they work on commission or not but they lost out on a $4000 sale. I guess we will try another location or use the internet.

I think we had the best sales associate and Designer possible and that was Jennifer Walterick. She followed us around with her lap top drawing the diagrams as we explained what we where looking for. She made small be sufficient recommendations and never once gave any impression other than one of willing to help us. great personality with a great sense of humor. Its been awhile since I've had that kind of service. Jennifer, nothing short of beig your best employee. Thank you Jennifer.

I purchased a bed from Havertys in October. Gena, my salesperson, was very helpful with design and earnestly listened to my needs. Her personality and concern for my wants were genuine. An experience I usually dread was surprisingly simple and fun! The bed continues to be the centerpiece of the room. It's as comfortable as Gena promised it would be. When I'm ready to update my accompanying pieces I will definitely come back to Havertys and definitely ask for Gena! THANKS, GENA!

So pleased to know there is personal attention taken without pressure to buy. Mr. Barie was very knowledgeable about furniture in store and what was available. I told him I was looking for certain pieces and he directed me and showed me exactly what I needed. I also told him I was not buying immediately because we are building. He told me they may be getting more in and would email me to let me know. It was great to know there is true customer service without pressure.

From the show room to delivery, we received exceptional service! We love our furniture, our sales lady was great to work with and the delivery men did a great job putting everything together. We received our furniture about a week after ordering it. We were very impressed with how fast we were able to get it. I would highly recommend checking this store out. They have tons of home office furniture to choose from, which is what we were in the market for.

We were greeted by Parker who directed us to the area that we were interested in and told us about Haverty’s . Parker allowed us time to shop and was readily available when we were ready with questions. Parker was knowledgeable about the products we were looking at and very patient as we changed our minds after making our first choice. In the end we are very happy with our choice of a new bedroom set and the ease with setting up financing & delivery.

I always have loved Haverty's furniture! I can walk in and never fail to find something I just love. This is my second round of furnishing my home. The first time my furniture was beautiful and I had it for 13 years. Oh the furniture is still in the family because my daughter loved it and all the furniture looks great in her home! We have been Havertys customers for over 25 years. We made another purchase last Saturday. It is like dealing with friends. The sales manager John Barie made us feel very very comfortable. We had a friend years ago Alan Daughtery who was a sales person with Havertys. John made us feel like we were dealing with our old friend. Jessica the designer was very helpful and a delight to work with. Great experience with professionals.

Always have loved Havertys. With my purchase last year I spent an extra $600 on a 5 year warranty.. Part of the purchase was a $4000 sectional which has several issues. Called Havertys for service and was told to call someone else. I believed the warranty was with Havertys. I was never given any additional paperwork to the contrary. As I continue to jump through hoops I am wondering if I will follow thru with my next purchase.

Thought Havertys' was closing so I went over to see them on Atlantic Blvd. I was only browsing for I was waiting on groomers for our dog. I have purchased at this store before; the sales reps customer service is very kind and helpful. The store is very clean, and the furniture is lovely. They do still practice precaution and masks still in place while shopping. I did purchase a little something I saw... do recommend visiting.

I was looking for a sofa using a swatch of fabric for color I wanted. Gena was very helpful in showing me sofas and helping search for thru the color samples available. After selecting the sofa I wanted, I was able to take fabric samples home to see which I liked. When I returned to purchase a sofa and a chair, Gena wasn't available, but Greg was friendly and helpful in completing my purchase. Very nice store and sales staff.

Kate and Jenn did a wonderful job assisting us on our selection of furniture. They were knowledgeable in regards to furniture & decor, patient, kind and listened intently as my husband and I discussed the vision of what we were looking for to complete the space in our home. More importantly they made sure we were please with our selection. I thoroughly appreciated the time they took and would highly recommend Jenn and Kate.

We already knew what we wanted since we were just adding a dresser to our current bedroom set and we let the salesperson know when we walked in. The salesman was so annoying and followed us as we looked at something else. Felt like he was lurking over our shoulders. He shouldn’t get a commission since he didn’t sell us anything. The person that helped us check out was fantastic but I won’t go back to that store.

I was shopping for a sofa and loveseat and ended up purchasing from Havertys . I had been to 3 different stores prior to Haverty's and then a couple more after. Greg Tucker assisted on my first visit and was informative and helpful without any sales pressure. The quality of the pieces I purchased seemed better than some of the other stores we visited and the prices were reasonable as well.

Our sales person was excellent! She let us look at sofas on our own and then answered all of our questions. The interior decorator helped us choose pillows in a different color and we ended up buying a rug because it was on display with the sofa. The prices were affordable. If we need more furniture, we will definitely look at Havertys again.

Corrine was absolutely amazing, knowledgeable and patient. She first helped me on the phone for at least 25 minutes the evening of April 5th, then in store for an hour on the 6th and finally for at least an hour today on the 7th. I purchased a sectional and will probably be back for more.

I bought my first piece of furniture from Havertys in Winston Salem in 1968. Still buying from them in Jacksonville, Fl in 2022. Their tech, Steve, is quick to come out and remedy any problems or concerns. Their furniture has always been the best. I love Havertys.

Parker took time to listen to want we were looking for and advised on various options. He guided us to a "perfect fit!" that met our needs and offered discounts for a great price without sacrificing quality.

Parker went above and beyond to show us the things we were looking for. Jen was a wealth of information when speaking with her in regards to a few decorating questions. A+ service!! We’ll definitely be back.
