Originally, I thought this practice was very professional and great. I saw Dr Kandana Perrera and she was fantastic, very knowledgeable, helpful and understanding- she deserves 5 stars. However, I saw two other doctors on different occasions and both times were atrocious. Not to mention that to get a hold of reception you have to ring four times before they MIGHT answer you- their professionalism is the worst thing I have ever witnessed. The first time I saw another doctor from this clinic was a telehealth consult, the doctor rang me an hour late without any of the receptionists reaching out to let me know it would be that late. I had Covid and I was very ill and needed medical advice on what medications I could take at the same time (panadol, nurofen and codral- is it safe to take any of them at the same time? or don’t take nurofen? or…?) to try and get my fever down. Finally, the doctor rang me and gave me advice but not very logical advice. She told me to take codral but after I realised that I couldn’t take anything else to get my fever down while on Codral as per her advice and I could only take 4 day tablets which wasn’t enough, it wore off after 2-3 hrs and I knew that I needed more advice to try and lower my fever. I booked another telehealth consult 2 hrs after the first one when I was struggling. Again the doctor did not ring me so I rang reception and to get hold of them took forever. Finally, they answered and told me 1.5 hrs after my scheduled appointment that I could not receive any more advice and that I could only talk to the doctor once per day even if I had booked an appointment. The doctor told me to ring her again if I had any problems and to call them immediately if I needed anything or if my breathing got worse. The doctor then told the receptions to tell me to follow her advice until tomorrow and would not take my 10 minute call even after I booked it and there was no communication to me about this until I rang them again. They also took the entire day to send through a medical certificate for my studies in which I had to ring multiple times to get. It was honestly astonishing and quite disgusting that they would not help me when I was struggling with Covid even after I booked and there was absolutely zero communication and she pretty much said we’ll wait till tomorrow but I needed advice. Awful, awful inhumane people. I was bawling my eyes out after this from distress and astonishment. Second encounter was with a male doctor who was very, very rude and arrogant. I needed a medical certificate again and it was via a phone call and it was very rushed he told me that he could not put on the certificate what it was that I was suffering from even though I gave permission and every other doctor I have seen said it was ok. He just wanted to be done, get off the phone and would not listen to me. He would not give me a certificate until I tested negative for Covid even though my symptoms had nothing to do with Covid. Your clinic causes emotional pain, stress and I cried every time after I spoke to one of the doctors or receptionists apart from Dr Perrera. These were atrocious experiences and honestly unethical. The receptionists also hung up on me when I was trying to talk to them about talking to the doctor when I was struggling with my medication while having Covid- awful!
Pushy and uncooperative doctors. Pushes people to get the medical tests than a proper meet-up diagnosis as they believe patients are lying to them. Never recommends patients anything that assists them with their conditions. Yes, doctors here "abide" the rules as they are afraid they will lose their registration. However, it is not for the best interest of their patients. In my case, no disability parking or seat belt exemption was recommended for my terrible back pain. It's only after a traffic offense, I even realized there are such exemptions (I was walking with the use of walking aids at the time of diagnosis but the doctor refused to give me disability parking). I avoided this place over an year of time after I realized doctors at this place are quite money minded. But I had to go back cuz of my traffic offense since that's where I have evidence for my back pain. Then, the doctors showed their true colours. If you are Sri Lankan of any sorts, I highly suggest to avoid this place for the medical needs. If you are Sri Lankan, this particular doctor assumes you are lying to him about your condition or hardship. It's something I have noticed several times. Quite frankly its racism against own race. Also we can call it prejudism/racial profiling against own race. He projects his bad racial experience on his own patients. But his profile shows as MBBS not as MD which means he studied from Sri Lankan tax payers money. He is a hypocrite asking other Sinhala people to be ethical, living and serving in a foreign country hating his own people. People in Sri Lanka have invested in his education under the free education scheme. I am not mad at anyone at this place. However, I do not want anyone else to go through the same experience. Sorry about the lengthy review. I had to cover it 360.
It's a real shame one of the last bulk billing clinic in the area has decided to charge patients, making healthcare less accessible at a time when people are really feeling the financial crunch. Will probably put off going to the GP due to cost factors. Since Sept 2022 the clinic became mix-billing, GP consultation will cost an additional $30 (out of pocket) for Medicare customers. Some exceptions apply, for example children under 16yo, baby immunisation, concessions/pensioners are still bulk billed. We've been told only the nurse administers vaccinations and she finishes at 4pm. Note: book before 4pm. Best to book an appointment to avoid disappointment as walk-ins are often turned away (advised drs are fully booked). Even with an appointment, we had to wait 40mins before being called, at the time we were the only patient in the waiting room. They only deal with one health issue per appointment, so if you wish to discuss multiple matters then best book a double/long consult. Healthcare plans also require a long consult. Long consults can only be booked via contacting the clinic directly - in person or telephone, not through the app. That being said HotDoc app is very convenient to see which Drs are available, and booking standard consultations including telehealth appointment for existing patients. There is a pathology on-site on weekday mornings. Lastly, Drs we have encountered are all friendly and courteous. The clinic is always clean and tidy. The receptionist could improve on their customer service such as advising patients when appointments are running late, we also had specialists saying they didn't receive referrals which was the receptionist's job to fax through.
I am extremely disappointed at the rude service received from Dr Seyed Hosseini. During my appointment he was not welcoming and made me feel a sense of rush to get in and out as fast as possible. When i walked into the room he did not smile nor say hello just ' close the door ' and waited for me to start talking. As a student nurse I require immunisations which many student nurse receive before working at the hospital and Dr Hosseini declined as I did not print out a letter from my university. I apologised for not bringing one and proceeded to ask him a question about acne, which he responded 'Do not interrupt me I have not finished talking' even though he had clearly finished talking after declining and telling me to come back next time with them. Secondly, I explained to him that I would like to use a medication I have been prescribed to in the past for acne. I told him beforehand that I have had skin training and have tried all products to combat my oil production but need medication to help me from the inside. He rudely responded ''Those bumps on your face are called acne and are hormonal and will be there until you are 30'. I disagreed and explained why my acne is not hormonal which he later checked under a light and said it was severe (So no, it is not hormonal acne). Overall, he makes you feel uncomfortable and is unpleasant to talk to about your health issues. I suggest you book a different doctor or another clinic.
A lot of these poor reviews seem to be mentioning wait times…. Have you ever been to a Gp before? No matter where you go, there are going to be occasions where an appointment runs overtime due to unforeseen circumstances, and you may have to wait. In terms of the civility of the staff, I have been attending this practice since it initially opened & would like to share my thoughts. Some of the doctors are indeed better than others, as would be expected from most practices. However, Dr Abraham, Dr Epa and Dr Perera have all been very approachable and considerate GP’s in my experience. Sometimes if an issue is not being appropriately addressed or taken seriously, which is not uncommon especially for females in the healthcare system, then I have needed to express that my concerns are ongoing. That being said, the doctors I stated above have always been respectful and compassionate. This practice is also highly convenient, being bulk billing (provided you hold a Medicare card). They also have an app which allows you to view appointment availability up to a week in advance and book your appointments via the app. Even when you completely forgot and it’s 3am you can head to the app and book your appointment. .
The only reason I went in here is because I work near the shopping the centre and thought be better for me. The first doctor I saw was kind and helpful but when went back to see my results for the procedure requested, I was with another Doctor Fereshteh Khodakhah. I thought I would be having the same experience as the first doctor but to my surprise she did not even explained the results of my tests. She asked me what happened and have to tell her the whole story again (She did not even bother to read my history on the computer )I have to ask her questions for her to tell me what's going on with me. And the way she explained and told me the reasons why I'm in pain sound so unreliable. She just said that the test says this. I have to ask her what am I supposed to do. (IF YOU DON'T ASK QUESTIONS SHE WILL NOT TELL YOU WHATS GOING ON) She said you have to see a specialist. That's it. What a bummer!! PS. If you wanted competent doctors then this is not the best place for you. Avoid this health clinic. Also was wondering - her English is incomprehensible. How does she even became a Doctor?
I had a Telehealth appointment due to the fact I have cold and flu symptoms, that’s fine. I have had negative covid tests. The doctor, Mohammad, called and I explained my symptoms as a huge fever, cough, night sweats, headache, whole body ache and weakness. I told him haven’t slept 2 nights or gone to work it has been this bad and taking two Advils and two cold and flus every four hours which are not helping. He told me ‘to keep my fluids up and have Panadol and Nurofen’ I wanted him to have a look at me - and had to pretty much beg him to even see me and get mad he didn’t want to do anything about it. He conceded and he said only if I come at 1pm (no earlier or later or leave) and to do another negative rat. Last night I was at the point of going into the hospital it has been so bad yet they don’t care, are rude and sassy and genuinely do not want to help. I called back up and the receptionist just says ‘what do you want me to do’ and was even sassier to me than the doctor. What has happened to this place??? Why are you doctors if you have no intention to help anyone???
Please don't book here if you have mental health issues or anxiety. I had a distressing appointment with a GP here in which she brought on a physically distressing panic attack, told me I was being unprofessional and that I wasn't allowed to see any other doctor for another 3 hours (in front of a room full of patients). The treatment I received was utterly shocking, humiliating and completely unethical. Furthermore in that vulnerable moment in which I felt completely unsafe, I asked if there was any one in the surgery to speak to and was told to leave while I was physically incapable of doing so. I'm sharing only so another patient won't have the same experience I did (it was detrimental to my mental health at that time) thankfully I was able to find a caring doctor at iHealth Centre Indooroopilly and would recommend them a thousand times over this surgery.
I have been seeing Dr Epa for many many years. I cannot recommend him highly enough. He is what ant patient would like to see in a family GP: Care, Genuinity, Knowledge, Listening to Understand, Transparency, Effective Communication, Empathy and Availability to help and follow-up. Definately 5 stars and no I am not medical Dr. but an academic one. My wife, 3 kids and I are genuine patients patients of Dr Epa since he was at Chapel Hill practice and now after he moved to this Indooroopilly one. These practices have also been very well presented, clean and with ultra friendly admin staff. The Indooroopilly branch has a pathology within the practice and pharmacy next door too. So it adds another level of efficiency and convenience.
Since we arrived in Bris a few months ago, we have been attending the Healthcare Doctors Clinic in Indooroopilly, and we’ve been very happy with the attention we’ve received from Dr Abraham. Dr Abraham is a caring and thorough doctor, with a calm and reassuring “bedside” manner. The surgery is spotlessly clean and tidy, with ample seats in the waiting room, and a well provisioned patients toilet inside. There’s usually easy parking in the little parking area just outside the surgery. We generally book ahead and that always works well for us because we’ve never had to wait long to see the doctor. This surgery bulk bills, and there’s no cost to you (only to the taxpayer!) if you have your Medicare card.
I'd been seeing Dr. Kahn on and off since the start of the year. I then visit another specialist of my own accord, who points out something Dr. Kahn should have and could have seen and began to treat back in January. So now I have to wait even longer to get something else done that I've waited for for years. Furthermore, when my partner was getting an assessment done that had nothing to do with their weight, he brings it up, very rudely. This office is negligent and worthless, Dr. Kahn should lose his license, all he ever says is 'I want to keep an eye on it.' He never takes initiative for anything and now I'm having to delay major medical plans. I'll never be setting foot here again.
Do yourself a favour stay away from this place! The doctors DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS THERE WEEKLY $$$$$. They try and charge people for services without telling you before the do it its a shock when you come out of the doctor's room! so then I contacted the department of health for them to investigate it, the practice manager lied to the department of health telling them they contacted me and gave a resolution I had not heard from them. the department of health gave a resolution. the same day this happed I have a letter dated the same day from the practice manager stating they can no longer care for me there due to false allegations! ITS NOT WORTH ATTENDING HERE!
I am very upset and disappointed with the service provided by Dr Sayed Hossein Hosseini when I took my 6 years old son for ongoing headache going on for the last few weeks and he has been waking up at in the middle of night time with the headache. He told me, there was no red flags and I was overthinking. Dr Hosseini did not even examined my son and was dismissive. He only agreed to organized the imaging as I pushed for it and my son is now awaiting Neurosurgeon review after my own GP followed up the results. To date, I have not received a phone call from Dr Hosseini to inform me the results of the imaging. He is unprofessional, condescending and very rude.
Booked an appointment because I have strep throat currently and need antibiotics asap. Called to check if I would be alright to come in, and was told that will be fine. After waiting in the lobby for twenty minutes, I tell the doctor I have strep throat and he basically pushed out the door with a covid test, unfortunately most pathologists are closed now. I don’t mind getting a covid test at all but I should have been told to go to a fever clinic instead of wasting my time coming into the GP. Very frustrating to say the least and now I will most likely be delayed another day in getting antibiotics. Please communicate better. Receptionist was nice at least.
Went here today on the Saturday booked in for 9.50 got called at 9.20 to say the doctor was sick and that they had no reservations had to speak to the receptionist for 20 minutes as I could see a 10.20am time slot available online Went at 10.20 waited an hour for the doctor Doctor prescribed antibiotics and an injection and told me to go to the chemist next door to get both but I would have to book another appointment for the injection as she needed to see other patients Doctor was extremely rude and condescending and had no idea what she was doing (googling what to prescribe me for my condition isn’t a good start)
We have been consulting Dr. Epa since we arrived in Australia (2 months). Although we had to wait for a while after passing our appointment time, the doctor, nurse and the staff successfully fullfilled our requirement. I feel that the waiting time is because the doctor spends time asking questions so that he can provide a good solution according to our medical condition. Overall, a very good place if you don't mind waiting a bit so that everyone gets good care. Not all medical conditions can be diagnosed within an exact time, I believe. I appreciate the staff being attentive and calm when treating to our son.
My husband and I have been looking for a good GP that we can trust - you know, there are good GPs and bad GPs (who just want you to be in and out). DR ABRAHAM was very experienced, knowlegable, and took the time to explain in detail about our different medical options. He is calm and compassionate, has great communication skills, attention for detail, and he takes full ownership of the medical process from beginning to end (instead of palm you off like a statistic). My husband and I feel like we can trust his medical expertise. I'm inspired by the great service - this is what healthcare is about. Thankyou!
Wish 0 stars was an option do not go here if you are disabled/have an assistance or guide dog unless you want to wait almost an hour for an appointment only to be blatantly discriminated against by drs and staff alike, have the dr you booked with refuse service very rudely, lied to about there being no other doctors with available appointment and upon further probing be told there is but none of the doctors would take you as a client because of your medical aid. As a result I couldn’t get ahold of important medical testing information I had come to get the results of. Horrible experience
Dr. Epa is the best GP I have ever had! He listens, understands, cares and is very considerate. He is always on time and doesn’t make you feel rushed. He has always been spot on with my diagnoses and treatment. When I haven’t been able to see him, I see Dr. Abraham who also shares these qualities. The clinic itself is lovely, very clean and modern. My only criticism (which is only minor and just slightly annoying) would be that reception rings me 10 minutes before my appointment asking if I will be coming (whilst I am traveling and am almost there).
Despite reading some of the others reviews, I found Dr Sayed Hosseini to be a very kind and caring doctor. I am normally quite hesitant going to male doctors as well as I have had bad experiences in the past. But Dr Hosseini really took the time to make sure I was healthy even during a routine prescription appointment, and I found him to be very caring and compassionate and took more time with me than is usual with bulk billing doctors. I am looking forward to him being my new local GP.
Everytime we visited this healthcare , doctors are so ignorant & doesn't care about time at all , they want us everytime to wait half an hour at least & if we are late by a minute they will definitely refuse to take our appointment , I think the doctors here needs to be teached punctuality , You are doctor doesn't mean you can be ignorant or not punctual ,we value our time , please teach .some manners to the doctors here specially the old doctors Humble request , thank you
Do yourself a favour, stay away from this practice! Especially dr seyed hosseini! Unprofessional, rude, arrogant! We got distressed, upset and disappointed after seeing him. We wish we could give negative stars. They don't even worth one star. He is a complete time waster. He simply did not make any effort to diagnose our child's condition. We were early and have been waiting for a long time, only to be rushed while being seen. Not to mention his attitude..
I don't recommend that GP wasting time I have a appointment at 4:10 and i saw the doctor 5pm. Nobody was the just me The Lady on front desk receptionist she was busy with child on the pfone. When I was waiting one man come and told her receptionist please can you cancel my appointment the doctor was taking very loud and rude to me he said and the recertificationist she said that is normal the doctor toking bit loud OMG for 45 min 2 complaining very bad.
I have had several visits to this clinic over the past few months. Each time, I have been seen by Dr. Epa. He is an excellent doctor; showing great care and attention to his patients. He shows kindness and is more than happy to take the time to make sure you understand everything that is happening. Not only that, but he seems to be always running on time!! Highly recommended. Best clinic experience I’ve had since been in Australia. Thank you Dr.Epa
My partner waited over an hour to be seen for an ear infection. Doctor proceeded to give him more ear drops even after he said he used them and they didn’t work. He’s had the infection for 2 months so would’ve thought they’d give him antibiotics. Doctor got annoyed with him after my partner said he couldn’t come back on a Tuesday. Would never go back here again unless I was bored and wanted to waste an hour of my time
Easy accessible location a very diverse group of doctors and medical staff I have to say the staff are very friendly and helpful as much as possible to be honest I’m not sure about their bulk bill system and how it works cause I have been charged for visiting a doctor even though I do have Medicare appointments are usually right on time the clinic is wheelchair accessible and it is usually easy to book an appointment
Dr Epa's service, profeesionalism, kindness and knowledge is on the next level. Me my daughter have been seeing him for 3 years now and no health issues that was not resolved. Just the way Dr Epa greets and treats us already provides relief. I can't thank him enough together with the friendly staffs for all the help. More power to Dr Epa and everyone in this clinic. Highly recommended. God bless you all ❤
Theres a bit of improvement from the Doctors and how they take care of their patients. The only problem is the people at the Reception. They won't answer calls on the phone and can't understand their accent. I would highly suggest to get someone who is very articulate and has an excellent communication so the patients could understand them and that they can manage the patients properly.
Don’t attend if related to Mental Health. Refused to discuss the topic at all as didn’t have enough time - was the second appointment of the day and went in early for a standard consult that lasted just 2 minutes! Didn’t even triage RE: immediate danger or concern. Disgusting and not following proper protocol regarding assessing for mental health care plan. Almost worth reporting.
Dr. Asma Hafeez and Dr. Afifah Tahir are great, but unfortunately before you're able to see them you have to meet the most unhelpful, rude reception staff. The rudeness is what really annoys me but they are also very unprofessional. It is a pity as I like those doctors but not sure how much longer I'll use them based on the service I receive from reception.
My partner had worst experience ever. Doctor was incompetent, didn’t listen, didn’t show any duty of care for his patient. When I wrote an email to the practice manager to bring my concerns to their attention, we were told to find another doctor. I honestly don’t know how they are allowed to practice medicine and look after vulnerable people.
I was provided the worst referrals! Not only were they useless, they did not send away any of the referrals. Complete waste of my time and money. I ended up finding all help needed on my own. The receptionist has very low English skills and the Practice Manager was not helpful at all when I followed up sending my referrals to other places.
Unimpressed cant describe the lack of respect I have for this clinic. From losing vital paperwork from specialists to shortchanging clients in terms of money and time, they seem to really have it all. Haven’t booked an appointment yet with them where the doc hasn’t been running late. Will not be seeking help from these guys again.
Very happy with Drs but the centre is not managed well. Both ladies sitting at reception had flu like symptoms with one wearing surgical mask n other mask down the chin n asking me if I have any flu symptoms. Neither other patients or there attendants were asked to wear mask which I have seen compulsory in many clinics.
Very poor service. Quite money minded people. A doctor asked us to take an x ray to report us on the same day and we were able to make the x ray image available to him immediately. But the doctor didn't inform any thing. When I call them the following day, they are asking us to book another appointment.
It was honestly fine. I was worried by reviews, but by baby and I were seen only 15 mins late, Dr Sangeetha Ponnusamy was excellent and knowledgeable, and I was bulk billed. It was free and effortless. Highly recommend Dr Sangee, especially for young babies and children.
Great experience with child.. Doctor was really attentive and the tests came back same day, and they made sure we were ready for treatment right away. Good experience in person and using telehealth. Good availability for appointments and staff friendly and helpful.
I have seen Dr Hosseni a couple of times before. He is always friendly and he is very good at calming the patient. He can be very firm but this is necessary for him to do his job. I can feel that he has the patient's best interests in his heart.
Booking a slot online doesn't mean anything when you have to wait an hour for your consult. They could have at least told me if the wait was going to be longer than 15 mins so I could come back in due time. No respect for people's time
Don’t even bother ringing this place. You wait 10 minutes on hold for the call to disconnect. They never answer their phones! The audacity to ask patients to wear a mask yet the doctors and reception staff aren’t even wearing one.
I’ve been a patient of this clinic for years. As have many members of my family. We all have had nothing but excellent care. Dr Epa and Dr Husseini both very knowledgeable and correctly diagnose consistently. Highly recommend.
Dr. ASMA HAFEZ has been incredibly amazing to me with my skin issue in past 6-7 months and finally after going to 3-4 doctors, she was the one who went to roots of my problem and solved it for me now. Thank you so muchhh
Highly recommend Dr. Epa. He is very professional and sincerely look after the patient. I was really impressed by the follow up and every detail he has gone through telephone. Thank you Dr. epa you are best in town.
My 19 year old daughter came home crying and distressed after a visit to Dr Hosseini. He didn’t believe her symptoms, called her a liar and mocked her... unbelievable!! Beware, choose another doctor if you can.
GPs at Healthcare Doctors are very thoughtful and caring but especially Dr. Seyed Hossein Hosseini is genuie and take a good care of patience. knowledgeable , friendly and caring Doctor. Highly recommended!
First I want to preface this by saying the rest of the doctors I have nothing but good things to say about and have helped me immensely, so it's unfortunate I have to make this review.
The doctor who took care of me today was really patient and really nice , she took time to explain me everything (I’m not familiar with the Australian health system) , I recommend a lot
My family have been patients of Dr EPA for over 5 years. We have found him professional, caring and extremely knowledgeable. The staff at the clinic are helpful and friendly.
They opened at 8 am. My appointment was at 8 am. The dr didnt even get into work until 8:40 am - the receptionist had to call her at my prompting. Absolutely ridiculous
Dr. Epa is always timely, his mannerisms are pleasant and he makes a lot of time to listen to what I need. I think he is a very accommodating and professional doc.
Dr Seyed Hosseini is the best GP I've ever seen in practice. Super knowledgeable, no-nonsense, very caring & has been excellent with my son too. Would recommend!
The front desk staff are rude and do not care about your mental wellbeing at all. They are rude and inconsiderate - save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere.
Just be 5 mins late for your appt you will get seen as soon as the doctor is free thank me later I've just saved you a 20-40 min wait... GREAT SERVICE NOT …
Useless. I booked and they said to come in 10 minutes. I arrived and I waited over 50 minutes to be seen. Very very disappointed will not be going back ever.
Doctors are great, but that woman on the front desk is absolute cow. She is disrespectful and just arrogant like please your a receptionist.
An appointment is an appointment if i book for 12pm i expect to be seen at 12pm and if not an apology would be nice Waited 30 min
Hung up the phone three times after waiting more than 10 minutes every time, bad customer service
3 stars because we love Dr Epa but admin/reception staff can be blunt and sometimes rude.
Dr Epa is always very nice and professional . Have seen him for many years
Dr Mohammad khan is best
