It's infuriating that you have to take time off work to show up in person just to show your proof of payment or proof of a broken parking meter to fight an illegitimate parking ticket, then be charged a downright extortionate rate of $10 per 15 minutes for parking while you were there. Furthermore you are forced to plead guilty to get the fee waived because if you actually want to plead innocent you need to schedule a 2nd court appearance and take additional time off work, a detail which is not mentioned at any point until you are already there with the hearing officer. It feels like they purposely make it so hard and inconvenient to fight a ticket that any normal person will just pay the fee. Feels a little bit like extortion. In the future I will just resign myself to pay any unfair ticket rather than fight it (a process I have been through twice now and "won" both times), because it's impossible to actually walk away with a positive outcome (the 2 court appearances required to get an innocent verdict on a ticket would cost a minimum of $60 in parking alone plus taking time off from work on two separate days).

Atrocious marriage ceremony by the office of Judge Sara West I called Judge Sara West's office to schedule a marriage ceremony on a Saturday. I specifically asked the staff member whether the building would be open on a Saturday and where. The staff member assured me that it would be. On the day of, we arrived and all the doors on 4 fronts were closed. It was -20 degrees outside and we had to wait 20 minutes knocking on doors until a security guard saw us. For a service of more than 200 USD, I expected to at least get inside the building, but the lack of coordination leaves a lot to be desired.

I'm pretty disgusted with this place. My partner and I have ordered a marriages license twice from here at the end of November and mid December. We have attempted to call a number of times to inquire about where our marriage license is and nobody meets our call. We ordered this marriage license for proof in insurance so that my partner is insured. Presently, my partner is without insurance because after many attempts in communicating and ordering our marriage license, we have nothing.

It was good to be here and serve as a jury. I know you don’t have a choice but remember someone has to do it. Ci FEW TIPS:::::: there is no pacific parking for juries or reimbursement for it. you have find one on your own. Taking a Transit will be a cheaper option if you prefer. Sitting here all day is the last thing you want to do. Bring your , or/and a . Other than that, everything else has been a great.

Referee Harris is a shame. He seems to like to talk to anyone without an attorney or representative like he is a day time tv ‘judge.’ I am glad you can write to the Chief Justice, which the service center informed me how to do. If Referee Harris was just not so bad I would give a higher rating as ever other judicial officer I have interacted with has treated everyone with dignity and respect that is due everyone.

The facilities and personnel, by the standards of a county government office, are excellent. All kinds of services are offered here, and the building is architecturally interesting and well-maintained. However, it is, in my opinion, silly to subject people on the services side to the same security as people entering the courthouse side. Maybe separate the two?

Quaintance is a corrupt judge. The lady hated me as a teenager and sent me to numerous facilities where I was abused. Someone lied on me to CPS and she made it her business to get assigned to my case and took my daughter from me. I asked for her to recuse herself since we had prior issues. But nope. CPS and Hennepin county is corrupt and racist.

Judge Jeffrey Bloomquist ignored all of the actual evidence in my case. Instead, he believed all of my ex-employer's lies, even though the facts stated by her didn't add up at all. He also seems to have no awareness of professional ethics. He either needs substantially more legal training, or disbarment.

Jury duty is inconvenient but a necessary duty for our free society. New Jury room is great, clean and efficient. Has a business center for those that can't just pause their lives. Center itself is remarkable. Don't want to do jury duty but when forced to - It's a good place to serve.

I needed to renew my Passport and Driver's License. I asked my boss if I could leave early (not easy) and because they close at 4:30 I had to take a Lyft which was $12. Well I got there and they were closed... They close at 4 not 4:30. Really really upsetting.

Parking is ridiculous. They charged me $18 to park when I'm required to be there in person for jury duty. How did they figure out reimbursing people for mileage, but they aren't able to validate parking at their own parking lot in their own city?

Got called for jury duty, was expecting the staff to be typical rude government workers (cough cough DMV cough cough) wasn't the case at all everyone on the jury staff was super friendly nice helpful welcoming and just all around great

This courthouse is an awesome wedding venue for an intimate wedding! We found some awesome spots to photograph portraits and the historical building is just gorgeous! Had a great time here as a wedding photographer!

No parking; horrible sidewalks all ripped up for disabled people and the court area is just full of nasty people taking advantage of their position. Security people were awesome and helpful to disabled - thank you.

  • Diana “Electric” Current

Great place, lots of different area's of public services, not to mention Minnesota skyway system to stay warm/dry, the Government Center. Is where you can get most legal issues resolved also.

  • John Walker

Nice view from the 24th floor jury room. I haven't seen US Bank Stadium from this angle. A few years ago the jury room moved out of the basement and onto the 24th floor with these nice views.

  • Jonathan Bates

Efficient and professional, just like most municipal operations in Minneapolis and Hennepin County. And an iconic piece of architecture that defined the early Downtown Minneapolis skyline.

  • Roshan Rajkumar

It is a public building and courthouse. Security cue was quite long, but security team tried to manage expectations in a professional and polite manner. 70s building, but nice interior.

  • Mabel Simon

Never can talk to any one and I would like someone to send me some papers to fill out for a birth certificate for my daughter. This was even before the virus.

  • Rachel L

I had a quick and awesome experience at the service center while renewing my license. The worker was very nice. I was in and out in under 10 minutes!

  • Barry Saxton

This place is terrible I have called them several times about my birth certificate and they have not answered there phones nor sent it to me

  • Hack Man

Jury duty is no fun. Parking is a nightmare. Public transportation isn't much help. The courtrooms art state of the art, at least.

  • abi getachew

  • Lawrence A. Maxcy (MAX)

The folks that were down there were more than nice. Since I already had a permit to park they waved the fine on the rental.

  • Lisa Moshfeghi

Kangaroo court. Might as well have Daffy Duck as judge and jury. Guilty until proven innocent. Incompetent and corrupt.

  • JerkBox JoJo

I can't give it 5 because it's a court house. It is what it is. No ones happy to be here unless you work there.

  • Patrick Kennedy

Double standard B.S. and nothing good comes from going to court usually jail time.

  • Michael Haseth

Every single aspect of everything in this building is inefficient and terrible
