We bought a Ssangyong off Brett at Heritage Holden in April 2021 and our issue is still outstanding. We asked to have the tow ball installed as part of the purchase as we intended to use this feature frequently. When a trailer is connected to the car (we have tested many), the indicator light on the trailer(s) does not work, meaning there is something wrong with the electrics that connect through to the trailer. Holden Heritage acknowledge the issue, but they have taken over 18 months to find a solution for us (issue still waiting to be fixed), meaning we can't use this function of the car without breaking the law. Over the last 18 months we have made a dozen or so attempts (including 2 drop offs and picks ups from the service center) to have the issue resolved. Each time we were told that the issue is fixed, then we tested a few trailers and it was not fixed. Approx 6 months ago the service team admitted this was a common fault at Ssangyong's end and they would follow up with the manufacturer to fix the issue. (update 10 Jan - The Service Team have said they've obtained the replacement parts now and will resolve this for us). When we've followed up with the business the service assistant, Steph, has been quite blunt and rude to my partner. We are not sure if she is actually forwarding on our many requests for a call back as we have only ever received one proactive call from the team. Brett, the Salesman, was helpful with the sale, but as soon as the deal was made, he didn't have time to provide us with any assistance to get this fixed. We were constantly chasing this business up for an update as to whether or not they can fix our car so that we can use this feature. We spent many hours going back and forth from the business in an attempt to have this resolved and as we are completing renovations, we spent many thousands on delivery and/or skips for items that we would've picked up or dropped off in the trailer. Please note, the one exception to this issue is the service we've received from Christian in the service shop. He is lovely to deal with, he is empathetic and he agrees that this is a frustrating issue. I believe once he has managed to get hold of the new parts, he will do his best to help us.

DO NOT GO TO HERITAGE HOLDEN LILYDALE If I could put a negative star review I would. I recently bought a new Colorado, the car itself is great and I really can't knock it, the rest of my experience was nothing but negative. I was told a different pick up date every couple of days and every new date I was given meant as a business owner I had to organise work days around picking the car up. I lost thousands of dollars with this stuff around of a process alone. The finance manager is rude and does not seem to give the slightest care about the customer. I asked for advice on the best seat covers regardless of price to protect my seats from everything that comes with being a tradie with a few employees, and the covers I received were absolutely useless, more of an apron than anything and did not cover the sides or back of the seats, when taking them out to return them I found they were sewn in around a small material loop in the actual seats, a small rip occurred at the very edge lining when removing these and because of this they refused my $420 refund of the rear covers that we previously agreed on. The guy at the dealer was nothing but rude when telling me they would not be refunding my money and made no effort to at least meet me in the middle. Nothing but dramas with this dealer. While I was in the waiting area another couple were waiting there and told me they also have had nothing but dramas with this dealer and would not be returning here for anything, and neither will I. I live pretty much opposite this dealer but will not even think about going here for servicing or anything at all, will travel as far as I have to before returning here. VERY POOR DEALER!

i have purchased a car from heritage auto group on the 10/03/23 after driving away with the car i noticed a few issues with the vehicle , air con not working , leak comming in through rear window leaving a substantial puddle on back seat every time it rains , also an anoying rattle comming from the dash , after 12 phone calls and being told someone will return my calls i have still not heard back from any representatives from this buisness . one would think that after spending $50,000.00 on a car heritage auto group would appreciate my buisness and promptly get back to one of there customers but this is not the case , i have warranty on the car with them and would like to get these problembs resolved before futher damage from the water is caused , it has also been very uncomfortable driving a car in the heat of the australian summer , i am now forced to proceed with steps of legal actions in order to get these matters resolved , if i pay to fix these problembs myself heritage do not legally have to reimburse me for the repair costs so time is critical as to keep the water damage to a minimum , beware of who you deal with ?

Great service started from the very get go. I had my car towed to Heritage Holden outside of business hours and first thing the next morning I received a call from staff member Matthew asking how he could help. I was then in contact with Laura on and off until my car was ready to be collected by 2pm that same day. Laura’s service was exceptional, Laura went above and beyond my expectations. Laura was empathetic and understanding of my situation tailoring both fixing and then servicing my car in a very timely and cost effective way. I was kept informed during the day and was given honest recommendations with absolutely no pressure to undertake any work that wasn’t completely necessary. Heritage Holden has made changes that reduced my service cost by the hundreds without voiding my warranty or compromising on quality of parts or customer service. And they washed my car. I was also offered a complimentary duel cab ute to loan which I need for my work and to transport my 2 children. Thank-you Laura and Heritage for turning a really stressful situation into a great experience.

My partners car broke down in lilydale and was undrivable. We went in to speak to them about the process and the customer service was appalling and the girl at the front desk was extremely rude. They then proceeded to LIE to us and tell us our insurance claim was rejected to which my partner called his usual mechanic and they saw that it was approved. My partner called back and asked why they lied to him and they said they did not want to work on his car and to fix it he would have to pay out of his own pocket which was not the agreement under the insurance warranty that was still valid. He was stuck without a car and was forced to pay $300 for a tow truck to preston and there was absolutely no sympathy or apologies, and the girl was continuously rolling her eyes and cutting us off whilst we were in there. Absolutely appalling and not surprising reading the negative reviews here. Will not be coming back. If there was an option to put 0 stars I would.

My pregnant wife and i brought a second hand car here last November, the condition of the sale was that they would repair a small scuff mark on the front bumper, we were promised it would look good as new. 2 days late received a call say the car was ready, when we got there nothing had been done to the bumper. After lengthy uncooperative conversation with the used car manager they agreed on their promise to fix it, they sent the car away to get the front bumper resprayed, 2 days later went there to pick it up. 12 months later the clear coat from the bumper is peeling, called and said I'm happy to drive the car down for you to sight it but then explained that we would like it fix by one of our repairers to avoid the same thing happening again. Then we got called difficult because they made a promise they didn't deliver. Thought-out the whole process they never showed any sympathy, customer service is rude and disgraceful. I would avoid at call cost.

Appalling service from the Service Department at Heritage Holden. Two weeks ago my car was booked in for a repair on a leaking water hose (under warranty). Dropped the car in only to be called 90 min later to say one of the parts had not arrived. I was told to bring it back the following day. I did this (mid morning) and on my arrival they went to see if the part had arrived, It had NOT. I was promised a loan car once the part had arrived. One week later, the part had arrived. And booked in for the following week (today) when a loan car was available. We get a call first thing this morning, "hoping we didn't need a loan car today". I need a car to get to daily medical appointments in Box Hill. We have been taking the car for 2.5 years to Patterson Cheney in Vermont, but thought we would try Heritage as Lilydale as it was a little closer. After this, we will be back to Patterson Cheney if the car is not traded in before for a KIA!

I wouldn't recommend Heritage Holden spare parts department to anyone! I am in the trade and I was quoted a price of $151.40 for a airbag clock spring for a commodore. I drove 15 klm to be told he was a new staff member, he made a mistake and it was fifty dollars more. I rang another dealer whilst at that yard and I got a trade price of $180, I ask them to make it right and match it. They refused it. When I explained how much inconvenience the new guy caused and the refusal of honouring the quoted price or any goodwill to match the other dealers price the explanation given was "I'm only an apprentice". Appalling, unsupervised staff, a new guy and an apprentice running spares. Needless to say I went to the other dealer. I will never return to Heritage Holden and I will continue tell everyone I know to avoid this dealership. No wonder Holden commodore sales are down. Holden let's not go there!

Took my car to heritage to source a oil cooler hose that only heritage stock The current hose on my car was very worn and expanded. Was told that they were not going to let me leave until they replaced it. Paid the $165 to have the hose fitted, more coolant, and the cooler bled and test driven. The next day was driving my car and the temp was red hot. Pulled into my local mechanic freaking out! They let the car cool down and attempted to bleed the airline, but also advised that due to taking it to heritage to take the car back and have it done. Took the car down there to be told there were no mechanics on that day (friday) and that I would revieve a call on the Monday to book the car back in. Not sure which Monday they were talking about, never recieved there call and when called they were 'too busy' to have it re-booked in to do the job that should have been done in the first place.

My wife was looking for a small SUV and we had tested some of the main contenders such as the new ASX , Suzuki Vitara and went to Heritage Holden to test a Trax. Although we decided against the Trax the salesman Scott asked if we were aware of the Ssangyong Tivoli. I had previously researched this car but had ruled it out. It looked good so we went for a test drive. My wife loved this car and I was impressed with the features ,quality finish and 7year warranty for the price. We purchased a Tivoli and are very happy so far ! Well done Scott and Ross for your assistance and not the least bit pushy. My only criticism would be maybe a little faster with getting back with a query. I don't know what the future holds for Holden but based on my experience with Heritage I would say that at least give them a try. Phil and Pam.

If I could give a lower rating I would! There customer service and eye for detail is shocking! Our brand new car broke down just after they serviced it to find the service team had forgot to replace a part. It took them over 24 hours to agree to pay for a tow truck then told us it would be ready by lunch. No communication by the end of the day we then followed it up to be told at closing time it was ready. Picked it up to find fuel gushing out and had to drop it straight back off. After 3 weeks with no communication we finally got it back yet they said there Closing so they'd leave it out the front. Not telling us what was wrong or what they'd done. We had to request a hire vehicle which they were reluctant to give us. Shocking service. Good customer service and an apology goes a long way.

Unfriendly customer service. I am so proud to drive a Holden, yet i was so appalled at how uninterested the staff at Heritage Holden Service Lilydale were regarding their customers, considering the iconic brand they are privileged to work for . Serious attitudes issues when a staff member cannot fake a smile or open a door for waiting Service customers at 7.30am drop off . Should of walked away , certainly will in future. **UPDATE ** Thanks Ross, Michael did call me today.Unfortunately offering me a free car wash does not resolve my issue with your poor customer service. i find no fault with the service on my car, however i have been to your service center 3 times and my experience has been consistent ....underwhelming by your customer service staff . Frankly , I'd rather wash my own car.

Service is good If you have your 3 YEAR WARRANTY in tacked ! but be "Very Aware Of What Happens " when it Runs Out !" My Engine light still comes on after they said they had fixed it ! ( 130,000 km now on my Odometer) The car was brought brand new and after 30,000 km the Engine light suddenly comes on , so they fixed the timming chain $ 1500 dollars worth of repairs which i paid for ( apparently a common problem with the VE commodores ) However the light still comes on after they said they had fixed it and said its now my responsibility to fix it (now outside of warranty and 130,000 km now driven :-( and they take no responsability when the warranty expires even if the problem occured during the warranty period :-( 1 star given cause i have too :-( YOU BE THE JUDGE ! BUT BE WARNED !

UNSATISFACTORY SERVICE We took one of our cars down with an oil pressure issue... Knew it was bad so trailered the car down. Aksed for them to check was wrong and let us know. We go back in to be told we need a new motor. Car is 2010 model VE Ute not even done 75,000ks... After leaving with little to no info on how they came to this conclusion we did some investigation of our own. Call them today and get told plainly they did not check the car because it would have had to be stripped down and there was a cost involved....OK, so my question to you Holden. Why did you not call us and tell us this needed to be done? We would of been happy to pay....instead you throw your arms up and say, ' we will give them the worst case scenario ' Bad move guys, unsatisfactory and poor service.

Booked a car for the regular 90k service. I asked specifically if the lights can be replaced as they didn't work at all and was reassured that will be done. I got a call the very same day that service will be $1500 as it is 90K service and everything need to be changed and that car will be kept overnight. Car was in their workshop for 4 days and when I picked up car yesterday I was told that everything was fine with the lights only to find out last night (I hardly made my way home in a pitch black country road with my 5yo in a car) that lights haven't been fixed nor looked at on "everything needs to be changed 90k service". The customer service officer talked down to me in an arrogant manner when questioned about lights. Will not go there again!

Bought a used car from Heritage Holden, very poor experience. Make sure you get everything in writing before you pay. They told me they would chase up the second key from the previous owner and if they couldn't get it they would do me a "ripper deal" on a new spare". Once they had my money they didn't respond to my emails, and when I went back in person they told me to go and buy one from a locksmith. The salesman told me all the recalls had be done on the vehicle, but when I contacted Holden direct, they hadn't. I also had a warranty issue (fuel leak) and had to be very persistent to get them to actually fix it, which they eventually did. I would shop elsewhere and certainly would not recommend.

Upon reading my negative review the owner contacted me by email. I called him & we had a short chat where he agreed to pay for the extra set of keys I had cut & programmed. I would like to thank him for his intervention & a quick resolution. Larry Positives & Negatives Just purchased a 2015 Holden today. Second car I had purchased there in the past 3 years. Live in Lilydale – shopped local. Was impressed with excellent detailing of the car. Scott the salesman was friendly & efficient. After everything was signed off I noticed there was only one set of keys. Manager refused to supply a second set. Think this was miserly. Soured the tone of the entire experience. Will look elsewhere next time.

I've been taking my Colorado to Heritage Holden in Lilydale for more years than I care to remember and in truth, it was more because of locality and convenience than for the customer service. There has been a very noticeable change to the way front of house is doing business. The welcome is warm from pretty much everyone who see's you enter the building and Laura who checked my car in and gave me a few courtesy progress calls was fantastic. Huge smile, exceptionally friendly and her bubbly personality (and professionalism) was a real win in my books. I hope she gets the recognition she deserves for her approach because it makes the whole customer experience far more enjoyable. Bill.

There is a new team in the service department and they are AMAZING! In particular I dealt with Laura - what bloody ripper she is. I'm really impressed with management as they have clearly given her the ability (on behalf of the previous team) to own the mistakes of the past and work SOOOO hard to rectify the situation. I bought my trailblazer from this dealership and whilst I swore to never return for servicing after a horrendous experience, they've won me back - and that's no small feat as our experience previously was beyond bad. Thanks team - great work - really professional, very impressive turnaround.

Disappointed with the Service Team at Heritage Holden. Had nothing but problems with servicing. Missing oil leaks on services, unable to diagnose simple problems and never being able to take the service light off! Check Engine light remains on even after the problem has been resolved 2 years later... (2 loose 10mm injector bolts not done up triggered it in the first place). My experience since buying the car brand new from Heritage Holden in 2012 has been nothing but trouble. I have a list a mile long of all the troubles I've had with them, I don't plan on ever buying another Holden again.

I took my Holden sv6 wagon in for a major.service it cost $1100 I asked if they could adjust the handbrake they told me it would be $75.oo extra I asked to speak to the service manager I was told he was not available. And he would call me back he never did. I rang a further 4 times and was told the same. I since had my car serviced elsewhere and the handbrake was adjusted in the price till this day he had not contacted me I won't go back there for anything ps I have bought 2 cars from you in the past but never again

The service department is a disgrace. My vfssv Commodore went in for warranty work or a recall. Got my car back and the steering wheel was severely out of alignment. After taking it back the service manager said they don't do wheel alignment. They sent it off to Rapid tune to have the wheel alignment corrected. Got car back and it still severely pulls left. Not sure what they have done but my car has not been right since. Would never recommend this company to anyone ever. Very poor workmanship. -5 stars

Today was the last time i'll send my wife there. I thought the previous time, the service desk people were just dismissive and rude because i was a bloke, but they are the same to women. Unlocks the door, not even a hello or good morning or god forbid eye contact, walks to the desk to finish making his coffee, and when that's ready turns around and says to my wife "yes?" Quotes $85 for windscreen wiper replacements. Over-rated, over priced, pushing for sales of extras. Thanks but no thanks.

Booked for a service online 1 week in advance and appeared when I was meant to have a service. Person behind the count said no booking and that drop offs are in the morning. Showed her the email showing my appointment and she tells me that they don’t get information from online bookings. What is the point of the service if it doesn’t work. Lady was let even apologetic at all. Please fix your service and website as it was my only day to do the service. Seriously disappointed

The salesman (Greg) was extremely helpful and took the time to listen to what we were looking for in a car and work within our budget. Be Extra Careful with this people They hided lots of information about the car I bought from them as the car had an accented and they confirm to me that no accident what so ever . When I ask them to return my down payment the manager refuse The English language is my second one and they took an advantage of my knowledge any my trust . Jan 2 out of nowhere my fuel pump decided not to play nicely. Goughs Bay to Lilydale on a tow truck and a week later, my car back on the road. Thank you to Mick and the team at Heritage Holden Service Department for fitting me in unexpected, getting parts quickly and returning my car to me so we could continue our holiday! Awesome service in very difficult times due to COVID-19.

Normally I would only buy brand new cars, so I can look after them from the start. This was my first second hand car and I was a bit worried about it because you don’t know what you get! However, the decision was made easier by the honest and “nothing is too hard” approach from the salesperson Kane. He was fantastic and deserves The Employee Of The Month Award! Well done Kane!

Took car in for central locking prob plus remote casing was opened up with batt being removed only to be told key damaged nothing that can be done but take car to wreckers,why not organise me another key cut and then recoded which your building does both so cos they key is no good the car needs the wreckers,terrible experience rude ,all eyes open do not buy a Holden l wont

I just had my car serviced and not only were the staff super friendly, but despite being low staffed they fixed my car right up. They found, diagnosed and fixed problems that were overlooked in the past by other mechanics. My car was also a Mazda and despite this they were happy to take on the job and help me to the best of their expertise. I highly recommend to anyone.

Went to this dealer as they had the exact car I was after, advertised online. I was there 4:30pm. Car was taken home by the manager. Salesmen was rude & not interested. Left my details with them to view and test drive. NEVER HEARD BACK FROM THEM. Doesn't get any worse then this. Went to Patterson Cheney Holden a week later and purchased my car. 100% better experience!

Worst service I’ve ever had at a dealership. Went to look at a car and was ignored the entire time and the salesman did not answer any basic questions or even show me to the car. I instead found a car elsewhere and they were far happier to deal with me. Will most definitely not recommend buying here and would advise anyone searching to look elsewhere.

The first time I went- I had a brake light not working- was told to come at 7.30am- waited til 9.30am- and told needed a part- so not fixed Went back cos - now my car needs indicators fixed Still need to return to have brake lights fixed I will be going to Ferntree Gully Holden in future- cos much further distance for me-but much better service

I needed a front bumper for my VX Club-Sport, I was quoted $3,000 & informed there is only 3 left in the whole of Holden and HSV, so I phoned around and was able to find the bumper from another Holden/HSV for $2,150 and it was home delivered! Why is there such a difference in price??

Really happy with the priority given to my brake lights that needed replacing. Thank you so much. On a side note, there isn't much reception here so if you plan to work from the dealership while your car gets serviced, prepare documents to be ready that don't need internet access.

If I could rate negative stars I would. Worst service I have ever experienced in any business. Appalling customer service and terrible communication. We’ll never return and will be taking our cars elsewhere so as to not have to deal with this place. Do yourself a favour and avoid.

I could not be happier with the customer service I received today by Laura at Heritage holden Lilydale. She is honest and very knowledgeable. She talked me through my service in a professional and friendly manner, while explaining in layman's terms what was needed to fix my car.

We heard about the Commodore recall on TV, we spoke to these people about it and they said they didn't know anything about it and would only do a service. Now we receive a letter in the mail to book in again to get the recall issue fixed. Terrible customer service.
