"Really gorgeous park right outside The Rose Bowl Stadium"
"Great history and the great venue for music"
"This park is literally right next to the Rose Bowl and makes for some really great pictures"
"Hermon Dog Park is so ample and welcoming"
"I'm accustomed to dog parks at the beach or in Washington state which are beautiful, full of trees and plentiful"
Really gorgeous park right outside The Rose Bowl Stadium. There are kids playsets, barbeque areas and picnic tables, lots of fenced tennis courts. I was actually parked here for Taylor Swifts Reputation Stadium Tour. I spent sometime walking around the park beforehand and it was very clean, the parking area was very well organized and not affecting major areas of the park, all the park amenities looked very high quality and I would love to come out here for a BBQ. I would highly recommend swinging by if you have the time!
Great history and the great venue for music. The parking is along the golf course so if you have any disability you'll be able to get a ride. Parking was $50 for the Stones concert. I'd recommend parking near Colorado somewhere and then grabbing a Lyft or Uber to the entrance and then walking in. Otherwise you're going to get stuck for a really long time. Definitely take your motorcycle if you can. All the lovely lady selling water also sell beer.. just in case you want to spend five bucks for a beer instead of 15.
This park is literally right next to the Rose Bowl and makes for some really great pictures. There is a very large grass field with walking/running path surrounding it. There are public restrooms available on-site; a couple, actually. There are also water fountains, which you'll need during the summer, for sure, because it gets hot in the bottom of this valley/canyon, whatever you want to call it. Parking might be further away, depending on what kind of events are going on, so plan accordingly.
Hermon Dog Park is so ample and welcoming. It's a little challenging to find the very first time but there is so much to like. The separate big dog/little dog area is great. Most owners are very friendly, sometimes there are rescue dogs that are taken there to socialize before they are ready and that's hard, because on one hand you want to support the rescue community but on the other the owners could use more training. Overall, good experiences here.
I'm accustomed to dog parks at the beach or in Washington state which are beautiful, full of trees and plentiful. To wit, this is difficult to get to, it's got a whole lot of just dirt and I did not enjoy it. However, this is LA and I'm glad to see any dog park so I gave it an extra start for being the neighborhood. I usually take my dogs to Cresenta Valley dog park and that's a 4 star park but I was visiting someone in the area.
I was able to meet with many neighbors for landscape and tree service meetings. What a relaxing day. I didn't get to the whole park, so much as I was able to see it from the aerial view. The park is very active with locals and homeowners. The people in this area are great to sit down with. I will be doing some trees and hillside clearance/ clean up for fire department regulations. Excited to see what this year brings.
Wish this park just a little bigger, considering there is space for it to be a bit bigger. Its usually pretty clean, havent had any trouble with any dogs here. I have a small terrier who can be timid and I can even take her into the large dog sectuon, never had any problems with the big dogs either. I love the agility equipment they have there. It'd be nice if they had some I. The small section too.
My dog loves this park. He is always gets excited and knows when we drive here. Although it has a dog park inside Hermon park I prefer to walk around. The park mostly sits in a bowl so I am not worried that my dog will get lost or run into the street. It is also a nice place for tennis or other exercise activities. Although weird I've often seen tight rope walkers and unicycle riders practicing.
I like this place because it's divided a small dog area and of course another area for big dogs. I just don't like the fact that the area for the big dogs has more to it as far as far as a whole lot more space and ramps, a tunnel where dogs can play and more shade. The area for the little ones is just and open space with two tree's not even close to halve the size of the area for big dogs
This has been a place for hiking for me since the early 90's. The park an horse stables have so much history in the area then most people ever imagine, when ever I go back to visit my friends and family in LA I find this place to be a oasis of tranquility and nature. Just be mindful of others space it has become popular over the years but it's still quite a place for all to enjoy.
This is my go-to running park. It's safe, lots of law enforcement, bike and jogging paths galore, if you just wanna relax, hang out for a picnic or read a book by a tree, that's fine too! I'm there every week! Lastly, this is one of the few places in Pasadena where you can fly a drone legally (in Lot H). And oh, the legendary Rose Bowl Stadium is also in the area.
Very clean. Safe. Lots of kids for ypur little one to play with due to the kids space. Open field to launch rockets, fly planes, and workout. Dog friendly. Sport friendly. Always check the rosebowl concert schedule to make sure you dont run into unwanted and unexpected traffic. Beyonce can ruin a day at the park like it almost did with us when she performed.
This is a great park to walk, play tennis, picnic and all the other good things parks are made for. It is mostly flat so that those who have problems with hills can enjoy. Walk down the main drag though the tunnel, past the dog park (fun!) and you will encounter a dirt road that takes you along the hills for a good hike. Something for everyone.
This place is spacious and definitely felt safe around the area even during my evening workout. You will not have any problem finding parking. Anyone looking for pull up bars during COVID19, this is one of the places that has it (not at the playgrounds). Plenty of open grass areas and bench tables for picnic. Overall, my top 3 park in LA.
My grandson loves the Pasadena children's museum and park. Lots of outdoor and indoor fun and activities.A bit pricey at $14.00, but if you you have EBT, It's $ 3.00 per person. I like the fact that they do this, because every child should experience this. Bring extra clothing because they have water and mud activities too.
I walk the perimeter for exercise. It's a great workout and there are usually others around, day and night. Beware, there are some dark sections, where streetlight bulbs need to be replaced. It can get spooky in those areas. Always walk with a partner, use insect repellent, bring a flashlight, and clean up after your dog.
This was a very fun pirate park. No charge & lots of fun. My Grandson had a great time. A great place to have a party. The jungle gym is a giant pirate boat. There are a lots of great things there for the kids to play with. This is definitely a fun place to visit. It's right next to The Rose Bowl Aquatics Center.
Great place to go running. Ran here once when it was like 111° and it was the worst mistake plenty of space to park when there isn't a huge event. If there is an event going off the usually close it off entirely to the public. A huge amount of grass area to have a picnic or play with the dog or kids …
Arroyo Seco is a gorgeous location! I personally only go during the Arroyo Seco Weekend Music Festival in June. The grounds are well maintained and the roads in and out are designed very well for high traffic. The event i go to is super organized and I don’t think it would be the same without Arroyo Seco.
Hated it so much! 40 dollars for just parking! And on top of that parking was like miles away as well as no people conducting traffic to get out of the "parking structure". It was a mess people clearly do not have pathways to walk on and making it difficult to get out. Will be first and last coming here.
Ive been coming since the 70s. I've seen the changes and I like them. There used to be lots of drugs and alcohol going on. It was dangerous and scary sometimes, gang violence and killing. It's all cleaned up now and it's a whole new atmosphere. I got some great pictures last time I was there. .
A fun recreational area for the easy hiking enthusiast. No climbing just a couple satisfying trails, water runs through in the spring and that's a plus. Perfect view of the Colorado Bridge. Parking is not a plenty but I've never seen it past it's capacity so that in and of itself is a win.
The festival held here was a joke. Over crowded, understaffed, and poorly planned. The ADA Section was small, and hard to get to. The sound was good, but I will never be back for anything. Led Zeppelin could reunite here, and I would not be willing to go. A Joke, a hack, and despicable.
The agility course for the dogs is broken. There are no lights so as soon as it turns 8 everybody has to leave. I don't get off of work until 6 or 7 sometimes and I cannot bring my dog because no lights other than those two things it is a cool Park because of location convenient for me
All the trees, in and around the small dog park, that used to provide shade have been cut down. Small dogs are in direct sunlight as are their owners. The large dog area has one shade tree. I would not recommend the small dog park on a sunny day for breeds that are sensitive to heat.
Great place to see the Rose Bowl Stadium and walk the perimeter of the golf course & bowl for exercise. There's so many people walking, jogging & even biking along the marked off pathway. There's a small rose garden way in front of the grassy field with a tribute to Jackie Robinson.
I was visiting LA from Atlanta so it was really cool to visit the Rose Bowl. We didn't get to go inside (post season) but it looked beautiful from the outside. I definitely would love to come back and actually go to a game!I imagine this place is really booming come season time.
Took a wonderful Fourth of July walk starting in a park across the street from my friend's house and discovered a wonderful historic diverse park that I had no idea existed. I've been visiting this urban neck o' the woods for years and had no idea this was hidden in plain site.
Beautiful space, and cool venue for large shows. Unfortunately, large shows mean lots and lots of the general public. The general public don't know how to behave themselves when out in these spaces. They drink too much, and don't take care of themselves or anyone around them.
It’s really nice and lush! The trail we took was flat - which is really great for my friend who is a dog with a hip issue. The people who told me that Ernest Debs is the murder park also said this was the suicide park. Not trying to incite fear - just spreading information:)
Nice park and amenities. But there are no bathrooms anywhere near the pavilion and playground area, it isn't very quiet being so close to the freeway, and the parking is horrendous on weekends. Unless you have a reason to be in this specific park, I'd avoid this place.
Very nice spot! I only wish I could afford to live in one of the houses that has a view of this place. Also I love the Bowl....then again at 100 years old perhaps it is time to replace this old gem and also re-vamp the surrounding area with more public amenities...
A fantastic place to learn archery on Saturday classes or shoot archery they also have a fly fishing pond and flush toilets very nice place to visit even to go for a nice walk see the coyotes and the different types of birds and Hawks nice if you like the outdoors
Parking was $50! Otherwise, the concessions ran out of food halfway through. Clean park and stadium though. Be prepared to walk and consider embracing the tailgating experience as this would likely make long waits much better. Staff was friendly and professional.
WOW, huge and beautiful. The grounds are AMAZING. If your into paintings they have "The blue boy" here. Many different things to see. Museums, Japanese Tea house, library, and acres of different grounds, ie Japanese garden, Chinese garden, Australia, desert etc.
Very pleasant very peaceful atmosphere friendly people good good area to walk or jog or exercise with or without your dog There us a leash law yet a few think their beyond the law. All snack shacks are still closed yet ⛳ ️♂️ ️♀️ ⛳ is wide open. …
10 Stars!! Great place to take family or just a friend or go solo. Beautiful scenic area. Lots of things to do. Great for bbqs. Hiking up to Devils Gate Dam. Meet a lot of nice people. Frequently patrolled. Best time was the Saturday of. Animals of the Arroyo.
Great park to take young kids. Clean, safe, covered areas but those have to be reserved. Bathrooms with flush toilets, the only minor drawback is parking and even though there's lots and street parking it still is difficult on a weekend with nice weather.
Cool spot people super friendly haven't met a bad doggie yet, don't go at dark or dusk as no light is available. Looks as tho someone set up a solar powered light but it's not working ☹. Anyways check it good mix of different size and breeds of dogs
I love going for a walk here. The sunset and the smell of nature makes this a great romantic place. Highly recommend if traveling to Pasadena. Also you can bring your pet and there is a place for archery practice. Some squirrels can be seen as well.
This section of the greater Arroyo Seco park is shaded in part and allows access to the arroyo itself. The botanical garden area is informative. There are plenty of places to kick back and relax, and also a section popular with skateboarders. Enjoy!
This park is great community asset. I have three dogs, two of them shy and one playful. We use the small dog area. When there, I water the young trees and clean up when necessary. Some people don't see their dogs pooping while on their cell phones.
This place is SO COOL. Seen the Rolling Stones here for the first time and I am thoroughly impressed. The huge screens make it easy for you to not miss a thing. They have so many lights and end the concert with fire works :) totally recommend
Me and my son we had a great time we played a round of miniature golf there but about two weeks ago when I was with my son and my other boy we encountered a bit of attitude by the guy that works at the counter the place overall needs to be
So much fun to come and play a short game of mini golf with the kids and their friends. Each person (adult or kid) was $6 for a 9 hole mini putt putt game. Worth it to watch them have fun. It was cool too because you could by an adult
Such a beautiful park, but it was so disheartening to see it used as a parking lot for the Americafest! Although I understand the reason. Such a perfect spot for a 4th of July picnic and a wonderful place for kids to just run around!!!
Google maps will lead you in the wrong direction. The entrance is off of Via Marisol and the 110 freeway. Put in Hermon Park and tennis courts to get the right directions. Once you are in the park, drive all the way down until you see
Nice green space; lots of traffic noise. NO WATER anywhere near kid park; Yes! Shaded areas for car but most in fire lanes. No handicap bathrooms; no bathroom stall locks: last redone sometime in the 1940s - place needs a lot of work.
Beautiful parkland that surrounds the Rose Bowl Stadium. A good amount of it is a golf course. Plenty of routes to walk around for exercise (including a nice exercise station with equipment), plus lots of grass areas for picnics, etc.
Nice scenic paths to take a low intensity hike. They were doing construction when we went which did detract a bit and parking is scarce. I wouldn't drive out of the way to go there but this is a nice place you go if you're in the area
My husband actually poured concrete here for this park so I wanted to check it out. It's a beautiful, clean park. Right next to the freeway. Lot of room to run and play and have fun if you are a kid. Also of course play baseball etc.
Kids and I come here almost everyday. It's a nice park, but hate it when dog owners decide to let their dogs lose! A play area should be added for the smaller kids (2,3 yr olds) because the older kids can be a little rough.
Pretty good park, nothing special. All dirt, 2 areas for small and large dogs, water fountain, poop scopers, and some obstacles for dogs to run through, plenty of parking. No lighting and I only 1 tree with some seating.
A fun little park tugged away from busy streets of Pasadena. The area is well kept and the playground is in perfect condition. The trees keep the area shaded so both you and little ones can enjoy their time together.
Great park, large size, next to the historic Arroyo Seco area. It has picnic areas, tennis courts, restrooms, lawn sites, a very nice off leash dog park, walking and cycling path, nice parking, well put together...
Love this venue but the Parsons lot shuttle line was over 2 hours long and way too much walking for the mostly senior crowd. For big events park close. Oh and don't borrow an ADA placard, they check, BIG ticket.
This is a good place to walk. The road surface is quite rough and broken up. The asphalt could use a good refreshing! Nearly lost my teeth while riding my bike it is so bumpy and I do not have dentures!
Great place to work on your skills. Everyone is very nice and accommodating of all skill levels. Ages range 10 to 40 (so far that I've seen). Very safe spot. No lights, so it clears out around sunset.
Nice park tucked against a stable with horses, chickens and a big red barn. Cool place near a walking path or bike trail that parallels the Arroyo wash. Wonderful place to exercise or walk your pets.
I was able to clean bags and bags of trash from the side of the railroad tracks. The amenities were facilitated greatly bye my efforts, but one thing is for sure, the trains will keep you awake. ;-)
My favorite spot to run at night. 3 mile loops. Even around 7pm to 9pm there is alot ot people walking and running. I do recommend a head lamp at night though. There is spots that are really dark.
Nice quiet park. Good to pack a picnic and relax with the family. Playground and grills by the tables. There's also some excersice machines, tennis courts. You can also walk down to the bike path.
It's an amazing place for traditional archers who wish to practice hunting tactics. It is also a great place for beginning hikers to walk the trails just keep yourself updated on the local fauna.
Hidden little dog park. All dirt, but has benches, water, and tiny obstacle course for dogs. You should bring your own doggie bags. Getting here is a little mission. Only one way in by car.
Are we in LA ? No way, it can't be!! As if you are in Indonesian jungle or south American forest. I sat down and enjoyed the sceneries. Bring your dog and go for a hike you won't forget it
Wonderful gem of a park hidden deep in the beautiful san marino county neighborhood. Great place for a group gathering or just to chill with friends. There’s also a dog park nearby!
This place is hidden so there is no Marihuana smoke to choke on for one's self nor our kids. Finally a place to get away from that smell. The views are beautiful of the city below.
The small dog park area is a bit too small but when there are chill larger dogs the big dog spot had plenty of room. You're experience depends on your dog and other people's dogs.
They generally have a very clean restroom, but some days, it can be rough. Over all safe during the day. A great park for playing tennis at night or just to relax during the day.
Great park! It is all dirt, but has two separate size parks for small and big dogs. Also, has running water for the dogs. The big park has a few agility course obstacles as well.
Very nice and clean park. The big dog area has obstacles for the pups to play with. The area is very open so it's easy to keep an eye on your dog from any part of the park.
Wondering why people are posting pictures of the rose bowl here? Herman park is very well kept. Tennis courts on one side and a nice area for your furry friends to play.
I did not visit Hermon Park. Google Maps Maps misreads Brookside Park in Pasadena as Hermon Park. Please correct your records. NOTE: Brookside is still not Hermon Park.
My family and I came out for the 4th of July firework show. Which was so beautiful, all the kids enjoyed it. The park is also nice to enjoy any other time of the year.
Awesome open space right beside the rose bowl. Good for either a music festival or golf. Staff are nice and chill. Could use a bit more trees for shade though.
Went to a music festival. There was 3 different stages, so 3 different bands playing. It was confusing at first, but most enjoyable experience
A place for great owners and friendly dogs! Always a good time, owners have always been respectful when their dog gets rough.
They have had music festivals the past 2 weekends and the place just looks magical with all the different colored lights.
Lovely place you can see the old bridge of Pasadena and new bridge all together nice view of city and stadium
This is a really nice park by the Rose Bowl. There are baseball fields, kids play areas & Kids Space Museum.
Great statue of a Welsh rugby legend who crossed over to baseball then American Football, Jackie Robinson.
It was really fun and there is alot of seats i went to the bts concert and i loved it recommend going here
A great group of dogs in the late afternoon. Great owners, and generally a good vibe in the park.
It's nice to come here the river is so close and there's, a dog park, tennis courts great for bbq
Great location, perfect during evenings, lots of shade and lots of parking available …
There's no shade in the small dogs section and not too many people bring small dogs here
First time there. Loved it! Absolutely amazing! Very clean and everyone was nice!
nice new Play ground, well kept tennis courts, bathrooms need to be updated.
