Beware if renting a van as this has a pre-existing dent, which is difficult to spot, however my driver pointed this out to the Hertz staff member before taking the Van. Surprisingly this pre-existing dent was NOT noted on the paperwork when the van was hired, however the staff member checking the van upon return, noted the dent and insisted it was new. We paid $200 for this damage, but suspect that we are not the 1st and only victim of this scam dent. The dent itself is unusual and has been there for quite some time. Ensure staff make a written note of any pre-existing damage, otherwise numerous drivers will be paying for the same damage, over and over...

Had a really great experience renting car from this outlet as this was the first time a staff from a rental company made the effort to explain to me all the tolls beforehand and all the current damages on the vehicle I’m renting. Rented a few times with hertz and other rental companies at other locations in Victoria but never was there a time a staff explained to me about the toll charges. Got a free upgrade of car to my surprise too which was awesome. Car return was surprisingly to me as the staff actually remembered my booking when he wasn’t the one that served me when I collected the car. Great work to those staffs at this branch, thumbs up

Recently hired a truck on 09 & 10 Jan 2021. I paid maximum insurance to reduce the excess. Unfortunately, I made an accident, it is a small hole on the top of the carriage. The admin staff charged me $3000 then said that they will give me a quotation in few days. I followed up and called them a lot of times, they keep saying that they will give me the quotation and pay me the balance ,..... But I haven't received any calls after 10 days. I rated 1 star for Hertz services. Note people: always keep your eye on the insurance condition, even you pay maximum for insurance.

The team at Hertz have been very helpful as there had been insurance companies involved. There communication was excellent at the time of pick up and the only delays were caused by the insurance companies. The car that was hired was well maintained and the contract of hire and expenses was very transparent. As with any hire place don't forget to take along your credit card or cash for a bond and your licence. As I overheard a conversation with a poor old man that arrived to hire a car and then had to get a taxi to go home and then to bank to get the bond money.

The hire process was easy but they stung us with a few for fuel as we could not fill up the tank, the pump kept glitching. When we dropped it off and explained what was happening the sales persons response was that they have had many people complain that they could not fill up the trucks and that we could drive around to see if another fuel station would work. Not impressed. Wish they would have just be upfront and said they’d been having issues and to be aware we may have to drive to a few stations. We passed so many on the way would have been so easy.

Great experience hiring the truck and very friendly and helpful staff. They had lots of dates and vehicles available. The entire process was very smooth. Only issue was when returning the truck, we filled the tank but it was slightly under full. They explained that with diesel, you should take the nozzle half way out when filling to completely fill it up. We were not told about this beforehand. Then they made us drive to the station to refill it again before they returned it.

Highly recommended for their friendly and flexible service. I travel 40kms to pick-up a vehicle and is totally worth it as the staff - Shahan and Naseem make sure that all things with the hire is done right. Vehicles are well maintained and most of em are at their prime of their lives. A tip for the readers, these guys are so flexible that if you are returning early, u get additional discount and also provide a return buffer of about an hour.

On the website they say valid license, doesn’t say it should be victorian. Upon booking they say only Victorian license and wont give you car. They should have been more specific about the license requirements. The staff there don’t know much about their policies.

The car that I picked up for rent is near-new spotlessly clean The Crew at Hertz car rental very polite and was easy to understand in explaining everything to me.

Booked a car for the long weekend and when we arrived for pickup they gave us a free upgrade. Even the extension of the rental was smooth.
