Food: Came here for the first time the other night with my friend, and overall, was a good experience. For drinks we had the sextini which was like a bit of a stronger sex on the beach, and had the fuzzy peach which was alright, very sweet. For the app we got the cheesey garlic bread, it came with balsamic vinaigrette on top which surprisingly was very good. Wish it came with 4 slices instead of 3. I had the chicken alfredo and my friend had the bacon carbonera. The pasta was good, a little under seasoned and the portions could be a bit larger for the price. Liked that it came with a slice of toasted bread. Had the deep fried cheesecake with the hazelnut gelato for dessert and it was excellent. Customer service: Our server was lovely, very polite and attentive for how busy it was. Food came out quicker than we thought. Ambience: Clean, cool looking place, only sat near the front as it was very busy, the table for 2 was very small and had a hard time fitting the app and entree on the table. Accessibility: Like most restaraunts downtown is quite loud, so if you're noise sensitive would recommend earplugs. The washrooms are down a flight of stairs and the stalls are quite small so wouldn't be wheelchair or mobility-aid accessible. There is also a double door to come in that does not have an accessibility button so that may be difficult for some people. -have not tested to see if it is service dog friendly, but will update if I return. Overall, it's a nice place and I would return to eat again.

Hey Lucy 's is a fantastic restaurant with an Italian delight and Italian flare! Located right in the heart of Downtown Toronto on King Street West , Hey Lucy 'provides an unforgettable experience. The menu at Hey Lucy 's is a mix of great appetizers, mains , pasta , and their great delicious pizza. The customer service at Hey Lucy 's is really great and the staff have been trustworthy, providing you great information on specials and the menu in place. When I visited Hey Lucy 's I thoroughly enjoyed their beer that was available and the Mac & Cheese was to die for. The fact that the Mac & Cheese comes with an special cheese blend as well as Parmesan cheese for added comfort is amazing. I can't wait to visit Hey Lucy's again and this time I will book a table in advance with my friends or it will be an intimidate experience with a date

Visited the restaurant on a weekend evening. It is accessible with ground level seating and patio seating. The washroom is not easily accessible as it is in the basement. Got seated right away. The staff is very polite, friendly and helpful. They did not get irritated when we asked for some more time to decide even though there were people waiting to be seated. In fact the server helped us throughout. The food was delicious and served fast. However, there are very few vegan/vegetarian options. Did not get a chance to try any drinks. But I saw drinks served on other tables. They have limited bar options.

Our visit to Hey Lucy's was absolutely awful. The person who served us was extremely sour and rude and clearly did not want to be there. She ignored us multiple times when we wanted to order and we could overhear her interrupting other tables to ask them questions while they were talking. While we were eating, someone who seemed to be a manager or owner came in and started talking to the kitchen staff, and after eating something, he started lecturing them all within earshot of us. They argued for quite a lengthy time and the other staff came over to gossip with the kitchen staff after the man had left. To top it all off, while eating, we found a very large piece of either plastic or wax paper in our food which spoiled the meal even further. To their credit, they took the item off of our bill, but I am afraid that I will never be coming back here again.

So I'd give more than 5 for service if I could. We had the pleasure of having Zach being our server and honestly, I don't think I've met a server who takes so much joy in interacting with customers and doing his best to make sure they get the food that will work best for them. This is a guy who had fun serving us, which absolutely rubbed off on us and made our night even more enjoyable. He had no idea why the dinner was such an important one which means he just deals with customers the way he did, without any special occasion. In fact, I had observed him serving others while I was waiting for my guests and he took the same joy in serving every single customer. Zach, I hope you stay that positive and fun in everything you do. Additionally, the hostess who seated us was also great - extremely polite, kind and got me a table earlier than our expected wait time. Food was great, great place, great people.

I would not recommend this restaurant to anybody especially for takeout. My friend ordered a margherita pizza for takeout and the hostess told her to wait 10 minutes. 50 minutes later we did not have a pizza. My friend had to go up to another hostess and ask for her pizza because we had somewhere to go, if we had not asked I guarantee they would not have gave us our pizza for another 30 minutes. While I was waiting in the restaurant I also overheard this lady had a reservation and they told it would be an hour wait. THAT IS TERRIBLE! I do not care how busy it is, that is poor customer service and clearly this restaurant does not know how to run itself. You either need to second round the table or completely reserve it. I will not be going here again.

Had a really bad experience tonight. The waiter was mostly fine except didn't explain what was going on until we asked- we had waited over an hour for our food & noticed everyone around us had been served, so we finally asked about it and were told there was "an issue in the kitchen" aka, they just forgot about us. When the food arrived it was mediocre. Absolutely not worth the wait. We asked if they'd consider a discount and were told "they can't give us a discount" which made no sense and we were not given an explanation. They offered a free dessert but we were not interested in having more mediocre food and by that point we were late for our event. Also the outdoor patio was super noisy and crowded, which explains the low score for atmosphere. We are extremely dissatisfied and will never be coming back.

Waitress probably named “Kara Lee” as per the receipt doesn’t seem to be enjoying her job. An old lady broke a glass but she didn’t bother to help even though she was standing right beside her table. We wanted a plate but she didn’t come to check on us until we finished our meal. Very unprofessional. Hope this review makes a little impact and service could improve. Coming to the food part, portions were on a smaller side. Pasta didn’t seem to be worth the money and it didn’t taste that good. Chicken pieces were hard to find. Bruschetta bread was average, nothing fancy. Cocktail we ordered was only half full, the picture is after I had one sip. Overall not a good experience. Will not be coming here again. Nearby Gabby’s is way better in terms of food and service.

We had an average experience at this restaurant. It wasn't bad, but it didn't leave us thoroughly impressed either. However, there were a few highlights worth mentioning. The PBR drink recommended to us was quite enjoyable, and the Margarita pizza stood out as the star of the meal for me. On the other hand, my boyfriend ordered the BBQ chicken, but we found that it had a shortage of chicken. As for the starters, we opted for the Nacho platter, although it was more like a plate of nachos without an ample serving of vegetables. Despite these shortcomings, the service was commendable, and the overall taste of the food was satisfying. Considering our experience, we might consider revisiting the restaurant in the future, but only if they make improvements in certain areas.

They use the electric grill and NOT the wooden oven for my luke warm sandwich. The drink doesn't have lavender taste to it. busted. Plus, they were dropping their marbles with the other tables. For example it took the other tables to a while to get their drinks and then brought their food quick. I saw her touching their pizza with her thumb while bringing their food to them and I didn’t say anything since I saw some of their staff sitting while others were running around. The staff then state they were all busy when other clients asked about it. It took the other several attempts to get their bill and split it. The staff was being really selective who they were doing this to. I was surprised that they still around with this kind of service

Don't get me wrong the food was amazing, I had the hot Italian sausage wood fired oven pizza and my friend and I shared the fried cheesecake dessert which was amazing. Something new I've observed with waiters/waitresses nowadays is that they stand uncomfortably close to you when they hand you the point-of-sale machine and don't move an inch and instead appear to be staring right at the screen of the machine while you are entering the tip details. Seems like an intimidation practice to get the customer to pay up as much as possible for the tip. I should've been like my friend and just tipped $2 instead of the 18% new standard default tip option.

Not what i expected. The inside decor has no consistency, it looks like a sports bar inside, musuc was 70-8ps American hits, not Italian at all, and there waa some mismatched furniture and wall colors. -Food was great. No complaints there. -Waitress took cutlery and napkins before she came back with the box for leftovers we requested, which forced us to pick up the pizza with our hands, I pointed out I needed a napkin and she just stared at me. -Pricing was similar to any restaurant in the area, so my suggestion is to go to another Italian restaurant somewhere else or only go for after work drinks, not dinner.

I took my sister and fiancé here when she was visiting recently and it was really lovely sitting out on the rooftop. We ordered pizza's that came quickly and tasted great, really nice thin crispy bases. My fiancé ordered a Jolly Cowboy (purely because of the gummy bear that comes in the bottom!) So imagine the dismay when it came without one : ( BUT we notified our server and she said she'd be right back to make it right....we got a whole glass of gummy bears for the table, hoorah! To the people grumbling about the service at Hey Lucy, try just letting your server know instead of leaving bad comments afterwards, it's a busy place and so things get missed and things can get a bit slow, but if you let them know, they're more than happy to fix things for you!

Great spot to hit before or after a show. Located perfectly in theatre district on the bustling corner of King & John. Unpretentious looking, and free of ridiculous prices. Plenty of selections on the menu for any pallet, but veering towards the Italian side of things. 4 of us enjoyed sharing a couple of pizza’s and a couple of salads on the street patio which allowed for people watching on a beautiful, sunny summer, Saturday evening. The food was tasty and if you’re a cocktail lover - the drinks menu is very diverse and pleasantly different (especially martinis). We enjoyed sipping the lavender margarita, which we will be back for, as well as all the reasons listed above.

We loved this place! We've been on their patio, and everything was amazing... From food we ate to staff friendliness and welcoming..to overall dining experience. We ordered pizza for kids, sandwich with stake and pasta + drinks. Pizza was delicious, pasta was godlike carbonara and beers tastee very good. Staff was very smiling and helpful and friendly. Definitely worth visiting and not once. We'll come again. Really good place to have a dinner right in there heart of the city.

My partner and I went for dinner there this evening and had the worst experience. We waited 45 minutes for our food and it still did not come and we had to ask for take out to catch our train... the food still did not come and I had to go downstairs and ask for a refund, they could not offer me a receipt saying the "ticket" was closed. Keep in mind I already paid my bill. I ended up leaving with 50 dollars cash, paying for my overpriced drinks. Absolute tradegy and the worst experience I have ever had. Will not be going back.

I would love to thank the waitresses that served us, however, I sensed that the manager is spaced out and can not take a decision on the spot as she seems out of order, in addition the lady that receives customer is also busy in other things but not her duties. Also I would like the chef to buy one plate of humus from Summer company and use it instead of the chef's humus as it does not taste like Humus. Good luck in TIFF and keep your staff alert. By the way the beloved waitresses name is Moly and honestly she is great as she helped us (my wife and i) a lot. Many thanks to Moly.

$$ - Came here for the first time and I was very impressed! I showed up around 5 PM and I'm glad I did because it became very busy very quickly. It was Wednesday so they had cheap margaritas which was quite the bonus. You can find the drink and food menu in my attached photos. I had ordered a charcuterie board which didn't have many crackers or bread, but the cheese and meats were great and well displayed. I also got the Bacon Brie pizza which was pretty good. It wasn't as saucy as I would have oped, but the toppings were very tasty. Overall I enjoyed this place and will be back for a margarita in the future!

Visited recently while in the area. It was fairly easy to get seated and service was very friendly. The BBQ Chicken pizza was a recommended choice by the server, and comes in 6 slices which is shareable or can be filling for one. The pizza was served fresh and did not take too long to arrive. Prices were about on par with other restaurants in the area. Overall was a fairly comfortable experience to have a quick dinner.

Just in for a light dinner after the Jays game. The grilled calamari was great, nice and tender, seasoned but you could really taste the fish. Then we shared a prosciutto pizza. It was great, the ingredients were super but the crust was the real deal - thin but not floppy, the rim was perfect for dipping into the juices. Wine was very good too. We will be back. PS better than Scattabush.

The grilled calamari has a lot of oil. They are not the only one. I have been to other fine dining places where the chef did the same. But the flavour was good. The seafood pasta was good too except for the pasta was overcooked. Also, FYI, now they only have whole wheat penne available even though the menu says whole wheat pasta available, not all kinds of pasta though.

A neighborhood staple… great pizzas, fresh salads. They’re always busy and the servers are still on top of everything. You rarely have an empty glass or dirty table. Great vibe at one of the rare reasonably priced places on King Street; pleasantly surprised that two meals and an appy came to less than $60. Hard to beat that price and vibe on that stretch of King! Also: Our server, Karra-Lee, was awesome — managing multiple dietary restrictions during a busy after-work service during TIFF on the upstairs patio. Will be back, for sure.

This is a fabulous restaurant with great food and the staff is really friendly. They have good portions and the food is fresh and really delicious. I have a food allergy to onions and the waitress allowed me to switch it out for any of the other toping for my sandwich. Tables are a little small but great experience. Really close to the princess of Wales theater and royal Alexandra theater

Wood fired pizza was absolutely delicious. I ordered the “King St. Sweet Heat” and it was so good. A great combination of heat and honey. Their margherita pizza was also delicious but not extraordinary. I also ordered their “chicken primavera” and enjoyed it just the same. I prefer thicker chicken slices however. Highly recommend after watching a show at the Prince of Wales theatre.

I stopped by Hey Lucy for a short time, and i asked if they can make the order quickly because I was in rush. They brought the food less time than i expected. They also have a happy hour on Thursdays, a glass of wine is just 5 dollars. Furthermore, their pizza is wood Oven. The staff was very friendly.

Our experience in this restaurant was very good, the interior is nice, amazing and helpful staff also great food. The best part was the drinks. We went on Wednesday and we got martinis and they were really good. Specially the sextini. The service was great, fast and amazing. 100% recommend this place.

What an amazing little restaurant. I say little because of the cozy feeling, however they have a street front and a roof top patio and 2 levels of indoor dinning space. They have the most amazing pizzas and calzone. For a king street restaurant, very reasonable priced, very friendly staff. Must visit

This place was great. The pasta is fresh, and not heavy, the bruschetta was perfect and the wine choices were perfect. Service was great, I’d definitely recommend.

Pizza here was quite good, very flavourful and fresh. It was nice that they substituted ingredients at no charge (got olives instead of mushrooms). Service was quick and friendly. I think the owner needs to get a dumbwaiter to get the food up to the rooftop :) lots of steps for the servers

Food was good, took a little long for it to arrive though. I had the nachos with the chicken and brie pizza. The nachos came with a marinara sauce which was a little surprising because at first glance I thought it was salsa. However it worked out as a nice dipping sauce for the pizza

Ordered take out and service was quick. The bacon fettuccine had nice flavour. It could less oil in the sauce. Calamari was overcooked and rubber like. Sausage penne was cooked nicely but thought it could use more flavour. Curious to eat in as the restaurant looked nice.

Conveniently located along King Street. Really good food. The pasta was cooked well with just the right amount of seasoning, cheese and oil. Good selection of wines too.

A decent place to eat some Italian food before a show. The pizza was large and delicious with lots of flavor and was quite cheesy. The service could've been a little more prompt but overall a good place to grab dinner.

Decent bar with extremely affordable margaritas, the bartender was also super nice. The seating arrangement wasn’t great, only really comfortable if you’re with a couple of people rather than a larger group

I've been coming here for a few years now, and this place hasn't skipped a beat. The food is always incredible and reasonably priced, the only thing is I miss the calzone with red peppers and goat cheese. One of the best hidden secrets in a very popular area

  • Alberto Romero

Food was incredible in this place! For some reason a waitress treated us super nicely and all of a sudden started attending us condescending, but it didn't ruin the mood of dinner! Pizzas were delicious

The food here has really gone downhill. I never return food but we had to send back the grilled calamari because it was so under cooked that it was still slimy, the replacement dish was not much better. Then we decided to go with a pizza,

was excited to try this place but rather disappointed. the caprese salad was tossed with too much pesto dressing and the arugula didn’t have much crunch or taste fresh, and boconncini also didnt taste very fresh either. even the tomatoes

  • Alex Cobalt

Incredible experience! The staff are energetic and overall terrific, service is exceptional, food tastes amazing and good sized portions!! Will definitely come back next time I'm in Toronto. Only downside is the tables are a little small

  • david LeBlanc

Worst food in Toronto in some time!! Thin flaccid calamari, dry bare nachos, cardboard prefab pizza with the worst crust in town makes their lovely real pizza oven look like a prop. Huge letdown after trying for weeks to get an online

Hey Lucy is awesome! Great little location on King Street near a bunch of other bars, restaurants and bistros. Wednesday is $5 Martini night and it is worth it. Loves me the $5 martinis. It's October 6th 2021 and I am here right now.

  • NELS NELLIS

Been there few times and each time i was satisfied either for their pizza or their pasta. It would have been 5 stars but their cocktail are not their strengths so just be aware ;) Always had a great service from the staff too

  • Ashley Bryant

Great pizza and the bourbon cherry crush cocktail was quite good too. Took off one star for desert. Skip the cookie sundae.

The food is absolutely delicious and the atmosphere is so fun. It's beautiful inside and the service is impeccable. Our server, Jacob, was amazing and so was the owner Gary. Already dreaming of our return!

  • Daniel Dafoe

Ordered this via the Ritual app, so all I had to do was pick it up. Got a friendly email from Hey Lucy letting me know it would be ready in 15 minutes. When I arrived, it was ready and waiting for me.

  • Kevin O'Hare

This place has the "hole in the wall" Manhattan aesthetic on display to perfection! Most delicious pasta I have had in a really long time. Friendly staff and quiet atmosphere! Can't wait to come back!

Had dinner with three girlfriends; everything we ordered surpassed our expectations. The drinks, starters, mains and dessert were absolutely tasty; very rare indeed. Would reccomend highly. More

This place is a great spot to grab a quick lunch or dinner after a show. The prices are great and the food is fine. The service is great and the atmosphere is nice as well.

Toppings are good quality but that’s about it. Sauce is old fashioned canned tomato paste. Cheese is dated, and not in a good way.

My wife and I had pizzas. Nice thin crust, tasty. Service was excellent
