Update: the restuarent actually called to apologise and explained the situation with having new staff working that night who weren't fully aware of all their processes. Also the senior staff member who took the payment had to leave before my food came as she fell ill, which is why there was a communication breakdown. They also fully refunded my order. Food was really good and I appreciate how they handled my complaint. Changed rating to 3 star on those facts. ---------- Terrible customer service, badly run and long wait times!! Ordered take away and said it will take 60minutes. Turned up to pickup in an hour and paid for the food at which time I was told to wait a few more minutes on one more dish. After waiting for another 20 minutes and not getting food, checked with them again. To see the food have been sitting there for the last 10 minutes, without anyone bothering to let me know! Cherry on the top was when I was asked to pay again as the person who took payment have finished her shift and they couldn't find any record of payment for another 5 minutes. I had to show the payment on my bank app to get the food.

My husband and I went for dinner this evening to The Hills Garden Restaurant, North Kellyville on reviews by others. Restaurant overly crowded, just two staff who were taking orders n serving pretty much flustered. We ordered Chicken wings salt n pepper, Schezwan Chilli prawns with steam rice and a beer, enjoyed the chicken, after 20 mins we were served our mains, couldnt wait to start eating., One spoonful of the dish, guess what I find an insect - moving. Called the young staff who was very apologetic n suggested that she gets another serving., We just didn’t want to eat any more. Asked for the bill. She charged us for the beer only., when we went up to pay, we insisted on paying for the chicken as we did enjoy it., but sadly we left highly disappointed. We were looking fwd to the experience as we love Chinese food. This tells me that there’s huge chaos in the kitchen, food cooked in an un hygienic environment. Would we ever go back or recommend our friends, definitely not. Poor and disappointing experience with food.

We have been trying to find a half decent Chinese Restaurant for a while now. I regularly get my nails done a few shops down from Hills Garden Restaurant and began to realize that every time I walked past them, the Restaurant was full and people were waiting for take away. I figured that for it to always be full of people, it must be ok. So tonight we decided to give it a go and order takeaway. We ordered 3 main meals and large fried rice. Wow! Every single bit of it was absolutely delicious! Our 13 yr old is very particular and usually only eats the honey chicken. He thought it all smelt and looked so good that he actually tried a bit of everything. He loved it all and even had seconds. We are so impressed that we are going to book a table next time so we can treat ourselves to the deep fried icecream. Thank you Hills Garden Restaurant for a scrumptious meal. Looking forward to returning there soon.

Dishes were really good - fresh, hot and tasty. We ordered salt and pepper chicken wings, salt and pepper squid, seafood & veg hot pot, Mongolian lamb and beef with broccoli. However the rice was quite hard - felt like it wasn’t steamed for long enough. It was really busy on a Saturday night and they kept accepting takeaway orders, so didn’t have much time to pay attention to the eat-in customers which is a shame. For example we asked for tea three times, final time they brought tea cups but no tea. We gave up, and had to remind them when we paid not to include the cost of tea.

Friendly and accommodating staff, kitchen staff are fast, didn’t have to wait long for our orders to be cooked and served even on a busy night, feels like it took us longer to get a table, used this time to look at the Menu so we ordered as soon as we got a table. Food was good and reasonably priced. Place is clean and tidy, no outside dining though. Parking is hidden at the back of the building, we didn’t know at the time so had to park on the side street across the road. Street light is nonexistent, but that’s the fault of the restaurant, so just be careful when crossing the street. Their website is plain and not updated regularly. Would be nice to have the menu online. (Someone posted a photo of the menu). Have been back several times for takeaway. Overall good Chinese cuisine, enough to satisfy the occasional craving.

We use this restaurant a few times a month. Food is fabulous. The staff are great, particularly Cherry. Mae and Ken.

Hills Garden came highly recommended, so thought we would give it a go. We did a phone order at 6pm and it was ready in 10 mins. Good amount of street parking out front. The restaurant looks so inviting and was beautifully set. We ordered prawn toast, salt n pepper squid, beef n black bean and fried rice. Total $54 which was a reasonable price. Prawn sesame toast wasn't bad, yet it is large pieces, little prawn and a tad too oily. The beef n black bean gets a 10/10. Tasty, melt in your mouth beef. Squid, again, 10/10. Not over salty, and not all batter. Fresh succulent squid cooked perfectly. Fried rice was really good too! We received the free crackers with the meal. Small bag and a tad too oily. All in all a delicious, fresh produce meal and we will definitely go back to try the satay.

BEST IN THE AREA. Nothings beats this restaurant, the food is always so delicious, the restaurant is always clean and super friendly staff. I get delivery from them and every single time the food is still hot and delicious. I have never had a bad experience from this restaurant, Highly recommend.

The Hills Garden Restaurant is a fantastic addition to Hezlett Road. As I am Chinese myself, I don't usually opt to eat Chinese when I eat out. However, I eat here on a regular basis and have never been disappointed by the food. The staff are lovely; always cheerful and helpful no matter how busy they get. Must haves include the salt and pepper chicken wings, salt and pepper soft shell crab and combination hot and sour soup. I can confidently say this is one of the best Chinese restaurants in the Hills District!

Its an nice amazing place situated in convenient location. The food was quiet good and so were the portion size. The ambience and the table setup was brilliant its a good place to take family and friends. The only downside was staff. They were short staffed and everything was in chaos. The EFTPOS machine was not working and staff were just running around clueless. Maybe it was just that day but nevertheless one star less for that.

I've lost count how many times I've been to this place - the food, no matter what you order is just fantastic. For a local Chinese restaurant, it is by far up there with one of the best little secrets for the area. The people are super friendly, they are accommodating for whatever you want, even if its not on the menu, they'll cater for you. It's affordable, comfy and you'll be greeted with a smile at all times. The problem you will have, is what to decide to order. It's just all too goooood :-)))

Ordered Banquet B for 4 adults and 2 kids. There was plenty of food for all of us. All the dishes were flavourful, the salt and pepper squid, pepper beef and prawns were the favourites. The kids loved the honey chicken. The lamb was good, but was a tad on the salty side. Fried ice cream was average (I've had fried ice cream where the ice cream itself was more cold/frozen) but was a nice end to the meal. Staff were very friendly, restaurant had stylish ambience. Would definitely return.

Went to get a take out on a Wednesday evening. There were a few people sitting in the restaurant but not overly busy. After we placed our order, we got told it was a 45 mins wait, with no option of delivery. I took the kids home and went back 45 mins later and was told he is cooking your food now. Wish lady had told us this before you picked and ordered. :(

My friend took me there one night and I was really surprised. The table setting was simple but it's the way I like. The price was very reasonable compare with other restaurants, and the food was delicious and the portions were big. The services were also good. I had quite a lot of food even just three of us, but there are four things I will recommend, they are the prawn toast, san choy bao, Mongolian lamb, and DEEP FRIED ICE CREAM, it's the best fried ice cream I ever had!

Ordered takeaway for Mother’s Day celebration with my elderly mum. Got to her place to discover there was lemon sauce but no chicken. Rang and had to go back to pick up by the time I got back other food cold. Not much of an apology, it was if they really didn’t care that much. Food is good but not sure I will go back in a hurry.

After trawling through uber eats and getting concerned about the poor ratings of all the Chinese restaurants available. My friend and I decided to instead travel to Hills Garden Restaurant instead and we were so glad we did! Customer service was on point with very friendly staff and the food was delicious! We were impressed with the taste and the portions were quite generous. Will definitely be coming back here, worth the drive! Thank you! ☺️

This is an awesome new Chinese restaurant in the Hills. We had my daughter's Christening celebration here and the restaurant was very accomodating to our requests having a large guest list. Our guests loved the food. We loved the beef chow mien with crispy noodles and the children couldn't get enough of their salt and pepper crispy chicken. Their sizzling plate was also a favourite of our guests. We will definitely come back with the family.

We made a reservation and I would highly recommend based on how busy and popular this place was. Once we were seating and orders the delicious food started to be delivered to our table. Plate after plates really good tasty dishes. So happy with the favour and quality.

Not sure what all the good reviews are about. Seems most people will eat pig food if it was served on a plate and not in a trough. Ordered fried rice and beef and black bean. Took one bite of each and threw the whole two containers out. Disgusting, cheap Chinese food (but HIGH prices). Get some better produce before you start charging those prices. And probably a good idea to not put big chunks of SPAM in the fried rice.

Decent sized meals for a fair price. We had a few dishes and struggled to find any issues. Delicious flavours, cooked extremely well, fast efficient service and lovely ambience. Definitely some of the best Chinese food in the local area. The beef was nice and tender, the honey chicken was crispy and sweet, the special rice had king prawns and roast pork which was definitely worth the extra over normal fried rice.

Food is good but the lady who took the order is so arrogant and not at all friendly. We asked for a high chair for my daughter and she got it after sometime and the staff just left the high chair beside our table and went back in the kitchen. There is no room to take the dining chair out and keep the high chair, she dint even bothered to help us. Poor service, terrible experience.

Delicious! We really enjoy the beef with Hong Kong sauce. The service is hit and miss but our last visit was a lovely lady who was very friendly and cared about the service and why I've decided to give this review. Every dish we have tried has been amazing, Satay Chicken so creamy with spice.

We picked up a Take Away meal from this restaurant last night. We have tried a number of Chinese restaurants in the area and this is the BEST by far!! The food was freshly cooked and tasty. As a number of the reviews said that the Salt and Pepper Chicken Wings were good - they were superb - crispy outside and moist inside. We will definitely order again.

Food is consistently of high quality however this place can get very busy on Friday nights and weekends. Our local favourite for good Chinese food.

I am so pleased that Hills Garden came to Kellyville. My family and I are regulars and we always leave full and satisfied. The staff are wonderful, friendly and on the ball. The food is tasty and generous is serving size. I tell everyone to go here. Safe to book on Fridays and Saturdays as there has been a queue.

Always enjoyed our food previously. Tonight the satay was lovely as usual. Unfortunately the Chinese steak in garlic sauce had to be thrown out. The sauce was absolutely loaded with chunks of raw garlic and the steak was chewy.
