Taste was good, just overly salty for our liking, the caramelised ribs were not exactly caramelised as the sauce was very liquid in the hotpot, it felt more like steamed in the sauce. Green curry taste nice but the sauce again is not creamy it was very liquid and over salty and the Thai pineapple rice same issue with the saltiness, im used to have prawns, chicken and cashew nuts in this dish with a sweet salty and tangy taste but I guess it was different here. (can't fault them with the ingredients as their menu only mentions chicken and pineapple) Staff did come by and asked if everything is alright, I told them I was a bit disappointed about the dishes and that the caramelised ribs aren't really caramelised, the staff replied with: you would prefer the sauce to be thicker instead? I replied with yeah, like more caramelised and not liquid like this. He replied with "sorry about that" And that was the end of the conversation, nothing was done or changed after this. We finished and paid. At least if I ever return I confirmed with the counter staff that If I request the dishes to be less salty they can do that for us.

Initially wanted to have a relaxing, fuss free dinner. Never came to this place but decided to give it a go since it has great reviews and we were nearby. He first thing that struck me was the minimum charge, $10 per person. So we tried to adjust our order to meet minimum of $20. We were approached a few times for order even though we mentioned we aren’t ready yet. When we ordered a large pho with extra meat and extra noodle, an extra $7, to share, we were told hat their dishes are not designed to be shared. As reference we had always done that at other pho places and do NOT need add extra meat and noodle to feel full. However, it was nice for the lady to said that she would accommodate us for this time. From this point onwards though, i was not feeling comfortable sitting there. I can’t imagine what a normal serving is but adding more meat and noodle is just like the medium size of other pho places in Adelaide that I visited. There are so much more pho places around that offer better value for money and acceptable service. That said, if you love a good ambience and customer service that comes to you frequently, then this is your place!

Love coriander? then you may love Hoa Tam too. My favourite place for Vietnamese cold rolls, but there is something special. Hoa Tam offers self-wrap cold rolls! You need to choose a protein option (prawn, beef, meatballs etc.) then it comes with a basic kit including rice paper, hot water, vegs, sauce, etc. Once you order, you'll receive all ingredients to make cold rolls, then just wrap it with your favorite ingredients and enjoy! I strongly recommend adding mint as well as coriander in the roll. It will give nice flavour to the roll. Ingredients were fresh and enough to make more than 5~6 cold rolls per person. Peanut sauce was yummy and you can ask to add chilli to make it hot and spicy. There are also loads of Vietnamese and Thai food on the menu and I also like their noodles, especially Vietnamese beef noodle soup (pho) or stir fried noodles. Reasonable price and good service from friendly staff. The interior is not fancy, but clean and tidy. If you drive your car, there is plenty of parking lost at the rear off Blacks Road.

I adore the service here! They are super friendly, catering, kind, helpful and patient. I go to this restaurant pretty often I would say! The food is really worth trying out. A lot of their dishes are super flavoursome and the pricing is quite standard and definitely matches their quality. Not particularly a stand out dish. However I had tried a lot on their menu and not too many faults at all. I think their cleanliness is good Bathroom is tiny and ok Parking is not too bad, location is easy to find, however to get to the place sometimes it is confusing on the turns, depends where you are coming from, but keep an eye out. The spacing inside sometimes can feel a little tight, and too close for comfort next to other tables (during busier day/night). Especially for families with children, prams ect you will most likely need a good space for this and consider requesting something more suitable. They do get busy, so definitely book ahead during weekends!

We arrived at the restaurant at about 6:45, ordered by 6:55, had to ask twice for our drinks, then had to ask where our food was as no food came out, it was 7:40 and three other tables that ordered well after us had their food! The response was below average with oh sorry I’ve told the kitchen and they are doing your order now, my wife’s pho came out practically straight away, she was half way through then one of our entrees came out (20mins later) then my main came out and she was practically finished, then! Our last entree came out once both of us were practically done! I go to pay and the girl at the counter says oh I think the kitchen lost your order! Worst service We’ve experienced in a long time! Excellent customer service and the best Pho in Adelaide! My friend and I went yesterday for a late lunch (trying to work out when best to go with our new born babies). By the time we got there, it was 3pm and I didnt realise they close at 3pm and reopen at 4:30pm. There were still a couple of staff members inside, they saw that we had babies and it was hot outside so they let us in and said that they can still serve us! It was soo lovely of them to do that! We had hardly eaten all day and were so hungry by the time we got there! They have the best pho in Adelaide! The one with extra flavour! Their meat and noodles are fresh and the broth is full of flavour! This time, I also ordered a mango smoothie which was soo good! Thank you so much for inviting us in and serving us!!

Impressed with the food and service! Good char kway teo with decent wok hei, tasty laksa with generous amount of toppings, and best snp squid this side of town. Xo beans had good flavour but a little soft. I thought the Pud Thai was a little soggy but other half found it tasty. Also had the betel leaf entree, taste was good but it was a small size. Tamaring beef salad good, but I prefer Thai beef salad. Will be coming back here again to try other food. Definately giving it another go . Some dishes weren't what I was expecting and it was really hard to choose what to get as the menu is so big. Specials werent mentioned and I didnt see them till after the order on a black board so watch for them they sounded good. Otherwise they were helpful and polite . Place looked clean but I did notice a bassinet near the kitchen. We ordered 2 entree, dim sims were great but the satay beef was not to my liking. Noodle dish was quite plain, I'd go with rice in future as it was very good. We didnt know if the sauce given was for the grilled chicken or entree but tasted great none the less. Serving portions were good value.

I’ve ordered here many times and always get something different to see if they can make something I don’t like, but no every time I put the food in my mouth I scream “oh holy Jesus they gon done it again and made my mouth orgasm!” Hands down my favourite take away palace, truely gods amongst chefs.

My partner gets the same vego yellow curry everytime as she is a boring fussy eater, but then again I don’t blame her because even though she’s chosen a meal without sacrificing a delicious animal it still tastes amazing. These guys can even make vego food delicious, gods amongst chefs.

Heard about it for a while and a few friends highly recommended this place to me. I was skeptical as my son has a lot of food allergies. Finally decided to give them a try and pleasantly surprised that they have food for my son who is allergic to gluten, soy, nuts, egg and milk!!! Woohoo!! Tried the pork chop rice, choo chee soft shell crab, and pho, they are good! My friend said pad Thai is good too. Will definitely try out more the next round. Another great restaurant that tops our list. We will definitely go back, ahem.. very very frequently as it's very close to home. Am happy!! Oops, we are all happy!

No one wants to be yelled at by someone who can’t take responsibility. Order wasn’t delivered despite saying it was. No refund supplied. Called the restaurant to rectify the situation. The staff were rude and raised her voice continuously despite myself remaining calm and asking for help. She said she contacted Menulog however i haven’t received a refund. There’s no reasoning with them, unfortunately. The food is nice but order at your own risk.

First time we went to this place for late lunch. We ordered the sharing plate (see photo), combination pho, only meatballs and we'll done beef, kids fried rice with egg and chicken and clay pot rib with rice. Kids fried rice is very generous amount but rice is not quite cook that day. Some are very hard to chew. I love my noodle soup, lots of soup and satisfy with type of noodle they provide. They have kids menu, which is a bonus for the family. Friendly staff, fast service. Overall happy with the service and we will definitely coming back for mean next time.

Take away, Saturday night and the restaurant was pretty empty. I walked in the back door and noticed rubbish on floor and floor is filthy. Noticed the same out front around counter and windows. Anyway, I believe they do good pho here but for the second time I had pretty disgusting take away. I'm not hard to please but...1 cm of oil floating on top of caremelised chicken dish. The chicken basil and chilli came out as some sort of cream affair with not a hint of basil - in fact not a hint of flavour! This was a $50 takeaway order. I will never go there again - sorry. Yuk!

I wished there's a option of zero star. One of the worst pho experience I had for a few reasons: * poor service * Poor hygiene for not having any clean bowls for kids * No basil/ bean sprouts/chilli/lemon, not even after we asked, what kind of pho without those? * No apologies or any gestures after all these * Besides all these episodes, the taste by itself is so so, soup is too sweet, some brisket is too chewy. (This was not happened when it's super busy as there were only 2 tables with 3 other customers when we walked in, but can see they are a bit of short-staffed)

I would definitely give 5 stars! I arrived with mu friend at 3:15pm and both of us had pram and a baby inside. It was hot and restaurant was closed (close at 3 and open at 4:30). When staff saw us, they straight away opened door for us and cooked for us. They are so thoughtful and sweet, best staff ever! Foods are yuuuuuum as usual! Will definitely come often.

Staff here are so friendly and the food is amazing. I started off with the steamed oyster with ginger and shallot sauce, full on flavour but not to over powering. Next up thr3 classic small combination beef pho, ive tried alot of pho in my time but i tell you what this one has hit the top on my list, The soup base is beautiful and rich, and the meat balls are not gristley at all , unlike others ive tried, rare beef and brisket tender and not chewwy. Full On flavour and fantastic prices highly reccomend Hoa Tam to everyone of all ages!

Ordered from here multiple times before and I must say that they are good at keeping a consistently delicious pho. My only gripe is that they forgot that I asked for no tripe or tendon in mine. The cold rolls with meatball were similarly enjoyable to eat. I definitely recommend this place for anyone after a decent pho.

Ordered the entree of chicken and corn soup for take away which is full of flavor and very delicious as I will have to order it again as I really love it as I usually don't like chicken and corn soup but I really love this one As I also ordered the satay chicken and I really love them as well as the chicken was delicious, melts in your mouth and crispy as well. Was honestly a horrible Experience having children children sitting in the restaurant making noice serving size of pud Thai was very small and was overpowering with chilli jam so there was no flavour and ordered a certain meal and a different meal came out and wasn’t fixed up and that meal was horrible and over cooked (beef satay sticks) not very friendly staff continued to stare at us while eating and rude whilst paying the bill not very impressed.

Tonight I had by far, the worst seafood stir fry ever! Way too much chilli, scrappy vegetable, sparse bits of seafood. The flavour of the sauce was overpowering… and what’s with all the pineapple pieces?? And to top it off , the dish was about 30% more expensive than elsewhere When I called them they were not interested in rectifying the problem!

Pros: Food is quite tasty and there are many options to choose from. The few times I've been, the customer service was also lovely. Cons: Prices are a bit higher than other places with similar choices. The restaurant itself is also quite dirty - lights, decoration, ceiling, walls all collect dust and it would be nice to have someone clean the place thoroughly once for a while, before the grout sets in and spiders accomodate for good.

I had terrible experice with my food. The vegetable stir fried noddle was very small serve almost 1/2 of the box. The noodles has got no taste except sweet , while being drenched in soy souce and no vegies except a very small amout of spring onion. The crispy chicken salad had only tree tiny pieces of chicken. Very friendly, good food and well priced! My wife and I can't get enough of this restaurant. We are slowly working our way through the menu and we haven't been disappointed yet! Vietnamese cuisine but Thai/other Asian cuisine included- a few spicy dishes but most suitable for the western palate- I like spicy so I just ask for extra zing - never disappoints The hosts are EXCELLENT!

Came to get a nice hot soup, and it was really tasty! Just a shame the staff don't have any customer service skills. The woman that served me and my partner gave us multiple glares from across the resturant, and at one point stopped at our table looked at us, said nothing and walked away. Just a really uncomfortable experience, will only ever get take away in the future.

The resturant was exclent but abit hard to hear and talk due to the number of patrons. As for the food, there was a lot to choose from. As for the two staff serving they were helpful but run of their feet. This was the first time for this resturant but as for Thai/Vietnamese, l could not fault the meals and would refer this to anyone looking for to have an evening meal.

We went there for lunch. We were impressed with the service, prices, the variety of dishes & the food. We had the Sizzling Steak black pepper, which I found a bit too salty & a bit tough, but the vegetables were nice & fresh. Xao Lan chicken with steamed rice, now this was the dish we both loved, full of flavour. Would eat here again.

Great Viet place to have simple quick meals or when visiting with a big group. Staff was friendly and pricing was reasonable. If you’ve never tried durian before, they have a durian smoothie that is a great start to test whether you like the fruit.

If there was a quarter of a star I’d give it, I ordered on Uber and it took an hour and a half to get to my house when it should’ve been 30 mins max. I called them and asked how long it would take and they said they’d call me back and never did. The food better be good or they’ll be hearing from my lawyer.

We had the laksa and the fried pork with basil and greens…we were BLOWN AWAY! So much flavour and great portion sizes! Small family business, calm atmosphere, simple dining experience but 5 stars where it counts! Staff were very polite and appreciated our compliments! Definitely recommend!

I've tried bún bò Huế from most Vietnamese restaurants I've been to. Hoa Tam Restaurant's BBH is definitely in my top 3. I come back here every time I visit Adelaide. If you love BBH, do yourself a favour and venture to Hoa Tam. You won't regret it!

Our family of five ate there today and loved it. The service was warm and friendly and very helpful and the food delicious. We were also pleasantly surprised that they didn’t charge a surcharge for eating there on a Sunday which is a joke when restaurants charge it. Thanks guys!

Lovely food but most dishes are extremely hot, choose carefully. Also expensive for what you get eg Garlic prawns only 6 small prawns the rest of the dish was onion $21.50 and $12 for fried rice, which only fed 2 people. Too expensive in my opinion.

This has to be the finest example of Vietnamese cuisine i have had. The food here is crafted by folk with some prodigious skill. The staff are genuine, friendly souls, and i felt very welcomed. Five stars. But only because six wasnt an option.

Best Vietnam Restaurant. Excellent service. Friendly staff and host. We all love their dishes. Especially my 3 year old daughter. Kids friendly. Highly recommended

Love Love Love this Thai restaurant. Have never had a dish we haven't loved. Family run and you always leave with a full belly and a smile. Thanks guys!

The food here is absolutely delicious. The service is fast and the staff are lovely. Very reasonably priced with a huge selection of dishes.

Every dish was delicious. Our guests from Melbourne were highly impressed too. Staff were so lovely and looked after us very well.
