I bought the pair of Adidas's shoes from Holt Renfrew through online and the shipment came from Ontario. This package has been delivered though Canada Post yesterday. But when I opened the box, I found there's a pair of someone 's socks inside the shoes. At the beginning, I don't know why is that since I bought the brand new shoes though online. Then when I looked into the bag. It has another pair of new socks sit outside of the box. That means Adidas's IVY PARK includes two pair of socks for customer. And I got the shoes which has been returned from other customer and that customer is disgustingly put the socks inside. Not only that the socks the picture I took. You can see it has been wore so many times cause you can see the tissue of socks has gone up and being torn. I reported this issue to the customer service. The one who took my case her name is "Vallerie I." She is not only not helpful but even said that if you are not happy then return the package. I was expecting that your company can offer me " the exchange service" cause it is so disgusting and not respectful when you buy a new shoes with someone's socks put inside the shoes I bought. Hello!!! we are still under covid situation and your staff is not sanitizing the return package or at least double check why the customer return and make sure it is 100% not being used. I am thinking that maybe the money I spent on this shoes just 200 something dollars not as important as some other orders, so they don't care my case and just want me to return the package. This is not responsible behaviour at all. So overall experience, I don't recommend people buy their products cause this company is not responsible for the products they sell and after service.

In my experience with Holt Renfrew, I've consistently found their separate boutiques to offer exceptional, welcoming customer service. However, the service on the sales floor is inconsistent. At times, there are SAs who don't even greet you or seem disinterested in assisting. On other occasions, though less frequently, there are SAs who provide a truly welcoming and inviting experience. In one particular instance, I purchased a Longchamp bag, and the SA didn't even make eye contact with me. Their responses were limited to one-word answers, and they even sold me the wrong bag when I asked for clarification on the bag's size and model. Furthermore, they didn't take the time to wrap the bag or provide a dustbag. In contrast, when I bought another Longchamp bag, a different saleswoman was incredibly kind and welcoming. She not only wrapped the bag but also provided a dustbag, making it a much more satisfying shopping experience. This inconsistency is disappointing, especially considering Holt Renfrew's reputation as a luxury retailer. I simply expect to be treated with basic decency at the very least.

I wanted to surprise my wife with a pair of shoes but the local (Edmonton) Gucci store did not have them in stock. Called Holt Renfrew in Calgary to see if they had her size and they had 1 pair left. I asked to have the shoes put on hold but was told that Gucci is a "high-end boutique" and they don't do holds. No problem, I paid for the shoes over the phone and the associate informed me that the they will be waiting for me at the concierge when I arrive. Drove for 3 hrs only to learn the concierge knew nothing of this. 4 associates looked for the shoes for over half an hour with no luck. Turns out the shoes were never in stock! Why would you sell me shoes that you do not have and make me drive down there?! I was offered a $25 gift card for the inconvenience... What am I supposed to do with that? Buy a shoelace?! This is a 6 hr round trip. A complete waste of time and money due to incompetence. Sales accociates at The Dollar Store are more organized than this "high-end circus"! Do yourself a favor and spend your money elsewhere.

I needed help in finding the Chanel store then I saw a lady with a very nice smile I knew right away that I can ask her. She even walked me to the Chanel store and introduced me to the salesperson. While we were on our way to the store she introduced herself and we had a little chat that made me feel comfortable about the place. Sadly the salesperson at CHANEL store was not very friendly she was snappy at me for trying to fit my phone inside the purse. We ended up buying in GUCCI and PRADA instead. AMY was the name of the lady that helped us. She made sure that we get treated right and that we get to have a good shopping experience. It was a busy Saturday afternoon when we were there so I truly appreciate Amy’s help!

Probably will never shop here again. Specifically Gucci. Poor customer service. No one knows what’s going on. They give false transactions by selling you items and tell you it’s there waiting but low a behold… it’s a lie. It’s not actually in the store ready for you to pick up. It’s in a truck somewhere, somewhere that they don’t even know where. No wonder the Holt Renfrew shut down on Edmonton. If it’s anything like Calgary… totally not worth the trip to shop at this store. I’ve never been a fan of online shopping but if this is the service you get, might as well cut out the middle man who doesn’t deserve the commission and just order online.

I’m very disappointed with the service. I ordered online and was already looking forward to my order then 8 hours later they cancelled my order. Apparently, it wasn’t suddenly available and they couldn’t deliver it anymore. I call Holt Renfrew and all they could say was they couldn’t do anything about it. They said the system was not able to upload properly ( or something) but there was definitely a technical error and mistake on their part. I’m just one very unhappy customer and the experience was horrible. For such a high end store, service was definitely unacceptable because it is below a required standard.

Awful customer service. I was with my my brother-in-law when he was made to wait 45 minutes to gift wrap a Gucci handbag that he had purchased for my sister and when he returned they didn't even do it! No apologies or anything. Just that they couldn't do it. This happened a few years ago but I realized he never made a complaint. Never too late to tell an establishment to do better. They definitely judge people by their looks. I live and shop in Europe, and I find the staff in Holt Renfrew really unfriendly.

Came here for testing guerlains les absolus d'orient series. They also carry the l'art la matiere series. Alongside those, and other designer options, they carry a few niche houses as well: Creed, Diptyque, Killian and surprisingly Frederic Malle which I haven't seen in other places (norsdtorm / saks). Great place to get your nose on different frags if you want to explore options outside Sephora & SDM. If you looking for decants in Calgary, hit me up!

Very unwelcoming associates at Chanel cosmetics etc. Very poor customer services. Maybe they will lose their job soon. Normally when I go there, no customers. No wonder why that explains a lot. (Nowadays I go to shoppers beaute). Except for there’s a lady who is at Dior counter (HR) who manages and she was extremely helpful and very attentive. She made my day.

I have only ever had great experiences shopping at Holt Renfrew and that still holds after stopping by for gifts over the holiday season. One associate in particular in the fragrance section was very helpful with my purchase at the diptyque counter. And I received a gift with my purchase which was a nice surprise! ☺️

Salesperson at the Giorgio Armani makeup booth was so helpful. She suggested the most beautiful concealer for me that matches my skin tone perfectly. Even gave me a few options between other brands even though she was positioned at the Armani booth. So happy with my purchase and the service.
